New species of pirate spiders discovered on South Atlantic island

On a remote tropical island in the Atlantic Ocean‚ a pair of marooned pirates have been discovered. While they lack eyepatches and cutlasses‚ the two new species of pirate spider certainly live up to their nautical name‚ which refers to their habit of violently taking over the webs of other spiders and killing the occupants.

Harnessing light with hemispherical shells for improved photovoltaics

In the pursuit of sustainable energy solutions‚ the quest for more efficient solar cells is paramount. Organic photovoltaic cells have emerged as a promising alternative to traditional silicon-based counterparts due to their flexibility and cost-effectiveness. However‚ optimizing their performance remains a significant challenge.

CERN researchers measure speed of sound in the quark–gluon plasma more precisely than ever before

Neutron stars in the universe‚ ultracold atomic gases in the laboratory‚ and the quark–gluon plasma created in collisions of atomic nuclei at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC): they may seem totally unrelated but‚ surprisingly enough‚ they have something in common. They are all a fluid-like state of matter made up of strongly interacting particles. Insights into the properties and behavior of any of these almost-perfect liquids may be key to understanding nature across scales that are orders of magnitude apart.

Saturday Citations: Einstein revisited (again); Atlantic geological predictions; how the brain handles echoes

Einstein's inexhaustible field equations just keep on predicting weird stellar objects‚ and the latest one is a doozy—so strap on your helmet‚ inside of which is another helmet‚ encasing still yet another helmet. This headgear is modeled on a weird solution to the field equations described below‚ along with an interesting neural study involving human speech in reverberant environments and predictions for the Atlantic Ocean over the next 20-odd-million years.

Microwave Scrambled Eggs Cup

Need a breakfast that is fast and easy? You only need a few ingredients and 2 minutes to whip up the perfect Microwave Scrambled Eggs Cup! PROTEIN PACKED QUICK BREAKFAST RECIPE Have y’all ever bought those “Just Crack and Egg” cups at the grocery store? This is a take on that idea but with fresh ingredients. Having some scrambled eggs for breakfast is always a good idea (yay protein!) But on those mornings where I don’t want to dirty up the pans and stovetop‚ I reach for a cup or bowl to make a Microwave Scrambled Eggs Cup! Kids love it too because this is something they can definitely help make! With just a handful of ingredients and a few minutes in the microwave‚ you can have a delicious and protein-packed meal in no time! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Can I make these more like a frittata? Sure‚ if you’re feeling a little more like a frittata for breakfast rather than scrambled eggs‚ try adding a Tablespoon of heavy cream and some diced tomatoes or spinach. Can I make this more like an omelet? Certainly‚ just try my Omelet in a Mug recipe. It’s similar to this‚ but more of an omelet texture. How can I save some time and speed up this breakfast? This is a fabulous breakfast for when you have leftovers. Leftover ham‚ bacon or sausage? Toss that in there. Grab a bag of Simply Potatoes from the refrigerated section of the grocery store. No need to heat those bad boys up‚ first just dice them and use them since they’re already cooked. You could even have all your veggies pre chopped and in ziploc bags that you keep in your refrigerator and they are ready to go for the week! What kind of container is best to use? You can use a mug or a smaller bowl. As long as it is microwave safe. Can I make this with 2 eggs? A little more hungry and wanting 2 eggs? No problem‚ just use a 16-ounce container and make sure it’s safe to put in the microwave. How do I know if the egg is cooked? Look at the color of the egg. If it is a light yellow in color‚ it’s cooked. If you see any darker yellow areas‚ that is still uncooked and needs more time. Can I make this ahead of time? Yes-ish. Go ahead and prep your ingredients‚ but keep them in their own containers in the fridge and don’t cook together or cook the egg until you’re ready to eat and serve. I think you can prep them up to a few days in advance. What else can I add to this eggs in a cup ? Here are some great ideas to add in.
