The few conversations he has granted have been conducted by relatively friendly interviewers‚ such as a brief New Year’s Eve spot with Ryan Seacrest and a recent appearance on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

Chloe Cole‚ a 19-year-old woman who was put through sex change procedures as a young teenager‚ detailed the horrifying side-effects of transgender procedures on Tuesday while testifying in support of a Tennessee bill called the “Detrans Bill of Rights.” Cole was in Nashville on Tuesday to testify in support of the bill‚ which would make gender clinics that perform transgender procedures and take any state money to also perform “detransition” procedures. It would also mandate that insurance companies who cover the transgender procedures also pay for “detranisition” procedures. During her testimony‚ Cole detailed the life-altering side-effects she still faced after being put through transgender procedures as a child in California.  “They took skin grafts from my areolas that now leak clear fluid and sometimes blood‚” she said. “I have to wear bandages every single day to keep it from staining my shirt and bedding. Doctors look at me and they just shrug. The experiment is never ending.”  “California‚ my home state‚ is not safe for me‚” she added. “They make it clear every time I walk into the doctor’s office. All they know is gender-affirmation. Bo Mitchell who claimed that children struggling with their gender needed to be put on cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers or that they would commit suicide.  “I felt like Rep. Mitchell (@VoteBo) did his best to minimize and talk down to me regarding my medical trauma. I do believe his rhetoric around suicide is dangerous and misinformed‚ I believe that it perpetuates suicide and leads kids that view him amicably down a dark path‚” she said. “I’m glad we can unify around the common good and I thank him for voting for the Detrans Bill of Rights.” The bill‚ HB 2816‚ was proposed by Republican State Rep. Jeremy Faison‚ who is the majority caucus chairman. It advanced to the House Health Committee on Tuesday and is also working its way through the Senate.  “I’m proud to carry this legislation that guarantees care to individuals suffering from mental health challenges who were groomed to undergo disfiguring surgeries or experimental interventions‚” he told The Daily Wire. “True gender-affirming care is instilling self-worth in how our creator made us. This legislation recognizes the trauma endured by these individuals and helps provide a way back from the medical harm inflicted.”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell endorsed former President Donald Trump for president on Wednesday after former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley dropped out of the race following a drubbing in the Super Tuesday primary states. The endorsement from McConnell — who is stepping down from his leadership role in November — comes as the Republican National Committee declared that Trump is now the party’s presumptive nominee for president. “It is abundantly clear that former President Trump has earned the requisite support of Republican voters to be our nominee for President of the United States‚” McConnell said in a statement. “It should come as no surprise that as nominee‚ he will have my support. During his Presidency‚ we worked together to accomplish great things for the American people including tax reform that supercharged our economy and a generational change of our federal judiciary – most importantly‚ the Supreme Court.” McConnell added that he would “look forward to the opportunity of switching from playing defense against the terrible policies the Biden administration has pursued to a sustained offense geared towards making a real difference in improving the lives of the American people.” McConnell was pressed about his decision to endorse Trump for president given some of his past criticism of the former president. McConnell responded: “I said in February of 2021‚ shortly after the attack on the Capitol‚ that I would support President Trump if he were the nominee of our party and he obviously is going to be the nominee of our party.” Haley announced Wednesday morning that she was dropping out of the race after only winning 1 state and Washington‚ D.C. However‚ during her speech‚ she did not endorse Trump‚ despite having previously pledged to do so. She said over the weekend that she no longer felt bound to honor her promise. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis‚ who was Trump’s main competitor for most of the primary season‚ endorsed Trump when he announced that he was dropping out of the race following a second place in the Iowa Caucuses in January.

Boeing‚ the largest aircraft manufacturer in the U.S.‚ is refusing to provide information on the Alaska Airlines plane that lost a large chunk of its wall in January while in flight‚ the chair of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) told senators on Wednesday. NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy testified before the Senate Committee on Commerce‚ Science‚ and Transportation that Boeing was refusing to tell investigators the names of people on a 25-member team that worked on a door plug that came off the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max 9 minutes after it had taken off from Portland. There were reportedly more than 170 passengers on the flight and six crew members. No one was injured during the incident. The NTSB found that on September 23‚ 2023‚ at Boeing’s factory in Renton‚ Washington‚ contractors with Spirit AeroSystems replaced damaged rivets on a frame next to the door plug‚ but photo evidence showed that when the workers closed the plug‚ bolts were missing in three locations‚ according to the NTSB report. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) responded to Homendy’s revelations during the hearing‚ saying that Boeing’s alleged refusal to hand over vital information was “utterly unacceptable.” “The parties who are being investigated by NTSB need to cooperate fully‚ and Congress expects them to cooperate fully because you have an obligation to the American public to get to the bottom of what happened‚” Cruz added. Retired aviation expert Ira Astrachan told The Daily Wire that the NTSB’s focus on finding information on the team members who worked on the Alaska Airlines door plug is misguided. Rather than looking into a specific worker to cast blame on‚ the federal agency should investigate the processes of how Boeing and its contractors sign off on fixes to commercial aircraft‚ Astrachan said. Boeing told ABC News that it has “worked proactively and transparently” to support the NTSB investigation. “Early in the investigation‚ we provided the NTSB with names of Boeing employees‚ including door specialists‚ who we believed would have relevant information‚” Boeing said. “We have now provided the full list of individuals on the 737 door team‚ in response to a recent request. With respect to documentation‚ if the door plug removal was undocumented there would be no documentation to share.” The Federal Aviation Administration grounded over 170 Boeing 737 Max 9s after the incident‚ but Alaska Airlines has resumed flying the Boeing 737 Max 9 following a fleet inspection in late January.

A graduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who recently testified about how anti-Semitism is engulfing her campus will attend the State of The Union address on Thursday as a special guest of Speaker Johnson.
