Why Nobody Has Ever Found Human Remains Inside The Titanic

Over 111 years after it sank‚ the Titanic continues to fascinate and surprise the public. For instance‚ did you know that it was found by a team that was pretending to look for the wreck of the Titanic? Or that – despite what the Internet believes – it partly imploded as it sank? Or that a couple got married on the deck of the Titanic in 2001?One such strange fact has made its way around Reddit this week‚ that – despite exploration of the submerged wreck since its rediscovery in September 1985 – no human remains have ever been found on board. “I’ve seen zero human remains‚” James Cameron‚ director of Titanic‚ who has visited and explored the wreck 33 times and claims to have spent more time on the ship than the ship's captain‚ told the New York Times in 2012. “We’ve seen clothing. We’ve seen pairs of shoes‚ which would strongly suggest there was a body there at one point. But we’ve never seen any human remains."It's the sort of fact that sends conspiracy theorists into a frenzy‚ but there are perfectly good reasons why we haven't found the bodies of over 1‚500 people who died as the ship went down. One reason is the lifejackets worn by many passengers and crew. While they did not fulfil their main brief of keeping their wearers afloat long enough for rescue‚ once their occupants passed away they remained buoyant. A storm following the sinking likely quickly swept the bodies away from the wreckage site quickly‚ while the ocean currents of course took them further away in the intervening century.Bodies trapped in the wreckage itself likely also disappeared‚ thanks to the work of deep sea scavengers – fish and other organisms. But bones have been found on other far older shipwrecks‚ so why not the Titanic? That part may be to do with the depth."The issue you have to deal with is‚ at depth below about 3‚000 feet [914 meters]‚ you pass below what's called the calcium carbonate compensation depth‚" deep-sea explorer Robert Ballard explained to NPR. "And the water in the deep sea is under saturated in calcium carbonate‚ which is mostly‚ you know‚ what bones are made of. For example‚ on the Titanic and on the Bismarck‚ those ships are below the calcium carbonate compensation depth‚ so once the critters eat their flesh and expose the bones‚ the bones dissolve."There are those who believe that in sealed off parts of the ship such as the engine room‚ where fresh oxygen-rich water that scavengers rely on may not have been able to get in‚ there may still be some preserved bodies. But 111 years after the ship sunk‚ the idea that we might find recognizable remains seems increasingly unlikely.

Former CBS producer says Epstein's gal pal indicated sex tapes of Bill Clinton exist but she wouldn't help find them in order to protect Hillary's 2016 run

Former CBS producer says Epstein's gal pal indicated sex tapes of Bill Clinton exist but she wouldn't help find them in order to protect Hillary's 2016 run

Ghislaine Maxwell reportedly would not divulge the whereabouts of tapes reported to feature former President Bill Clinton — because it might have hurt former secretary of state and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's 2016 bid for president‚ according to a new Daily Mail report. Maxwell is in prison after being charged with two counts of conspiracy‚ enticement of a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts‚ transporting minors for illegal sex acts‚ and two counts of perjury. Her charges are in connection with allegations that she helped procure underage victims for accused pedophile and sex trafficker‚ the late Jeffrey Epstein.Maxwell has denied all charges. Her trial is scheduled to begin in July 2021‚ and she faces up to 35 years in prison if convicted. What are the details? On Friday‚ the Daily Mail reported on CBS producer Ira Rosen's new book‚ "Ticking Clock: Behind the Scenes at 60 Minutes" and said Rosen's book alleges that Maxwell refused to help locate tapes Epstein had recorded that included Bill Clinton but implied that they did exist. The outlet reported‚ "The book sheds new light on reported claims that Epstein had secretly recorded his celebrity friends having sex with women and underage girls at his home — and then used the footage to blackmail them." "In his new book‚" the Daily Wire reported‚ "former CBS producer Ira Rosen writes of speaking with Maxwell in 2016‚ saying he asked for footage of Donald Trump that Epstein might have shot‚ only to have Maxwell respond‚ 'If you get the tapes on Trump‚ you have to do [Bill] Clinton.'" Rosen‚ according to the outlet‚ said that during the meeting he said‚ "I want the tapes. I know [Epstein] was videotaping everyone and I want the tapes of Trump with the girls." Maxwell reportedly told Rosen‚ "I don't know where they are‚" prompting him to believe that she was confirming the existence of such tapes. "[A]sk Epstein‚" Rosen said he fired back‚ insisting that the "fate of the country is at stake.""Trump could be elected president and how would you feel if those tapes emerged after he was in office?" Rosen reportedly asked‚ according to his book. "[Maxwell] gave me a stern look and pointed a finger in my face‚" Rosen reported. "She said‚ 'I am the daughter of a press baron. I know the way you people think. If you do one side‚ you must do the other. If you get the tapes on Trump‚ you have to do Clinton.'""Maxwell didn't want Trump elected‚ but said that Hillary Clinton was comfortably ahead and there was no need for the story to come out‚" Rosen added. "Besides‚ she said‚ Epstein never shared with her the location of the tapes." What did flight logs reveal?According to the Daily Mail‚ previous flight logs revealed that Bill Clinton traveled on Epstein's private jet at least 26 times‚ and in September‚ the Daily Beast reported that he reportedly took an "intimate dinner" with Maxwell and others as late as 2014 — well after damning allegations against Epstein were made public. "Multiple sources with knowledge of the situation say [Clinton] aides had squabbled over Maxwell's invitation beforehand due to her links to Epstein‚" the report explained. "Even to this day‚ Clinton insiders continue to point fingers over who should be blamed for Maxwell's addition to the event."The report added‚ "It's unclear why Maxwell was reintroduced into Clinton's circle." At least two of Epstein's purported victims have previously claimed that they witnessed the existence of a room in his New York City mansion‚ which was filled with CCTV monitors featuring footage from around the home — including some reportedly taken from bathrooms. Authorities arrested and jailed Maxwell in July 2020‚ and as early as December‚ a judge rejected a $28.5 million bail proposal for Maxwell‚ deeming her an extreme flight risk.

George Soros' New York residence swatted following hoax 911 call

George Soros' New York estate was swatted by Southampton police on Saturday after the department received a prank 911 call‚ the New York Post reported.Law enforcement rushed to the scene of Soros' Long Island home around 9 p.m. Saturday after a 911 caller told authorities that he had shot his wife and was threatening to turn the gun on himself.Southampton Police Detective Herman Lamison stated Monday that the caller's report was fake and confirmed Soros as the owner of the estate. A cop who responded to the scene told fellow officers‚ "Spoke to security‚ searched the premises. It was [a] negative problem‚" according to a police radio traffic transcript obtained by the Post.It is unclear whether anyone was home at the time of the swatting. According to reports from the Daily Mail‚ Soros was seen vacationing in Barbados last week. Earlier this year‚ Soros handed control of his $25 billion empire to his son‚ Alexander Soros‚ who vowed to continue to use the family's wealth to support left-wing politicians and causes. Alexander told the Wall Street Journal in June that he is "more political" than his father. Anything else?Swatting incidents have become more common over the holiday season‚ with pranksters phoning in bogus 911 calls to prompt SWAT teams to raid the homes of a number of political figures.According to authorities‚ Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows (D) was a recent target of a swatting call on Friday evening‚ a day after she ruled to remove former President Donald Trump from the state's primary ballot. A man reportedly phoned police‚ claiming to have broken into the secretary of state's home‚ police stated. However‚ when they arrived at the scene‚ there was no evidence of a break-in‚ and they found no one inside the home.Republican Representatives Brandon Williams of New York and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia both reported that they were the target of swatting calls on Christmas day. In Greene's case‚ police determined that the call was a hoax‚ and they did not send officers to her residence. "My home was 'swatted' on Christmas. Someone hoped police might accidentally kill me and my family‚" Williams posted on X. "Today local 'news' doxxed us by publishing a photo of my home‚ why? To make it easier to target my family?""Swatting calls are coming in on many Members of Congress‚ Senators‚ State Reps and Mayors and Lt Governors‚ and many members of our families‚" Greene said last week. "Is our government under attack? Swatting calls are also police harassment and an attack on police. We need to stop this now."Boston Democratic Mayor Michelle Wu's home was reportedly swatted on Christmas as well. A few days later‚ Republican Senator Rick Scott of Florida shared on X that he was also a target of the hoax 911 calls."Last night‚ while at dinner with my wife‚ cowards 'swatted' my home in Naples. These criminals wasted the time &; resources of our law enforcement in a sick attempt to terrorize my family‚" he said.Like Blaze News? The WHO blasted for 'trans bias' after calling for self-ID to become a human right in global guide for trans care

The World Health Organization has apparently pushed for people to have the right to self-identify as the opposite sex in its first international guide to care for transgender people. In a recent release‚ the WHO stated that the new guidelines "will provide evidence and implementation guidance on health sector interventions aimed at increasing access and utilization of quality and respectful health services by trans and gender diverse people.""The guideline will focus in 5 areas: provision of gender-affirming care‚ including hormones; health workers education and training for the provision of gender-inclusive care; provision of health care for trans and gender diverse people who suffered interpersonal violence based in their needs; health policies that support gender-inclusive care‚ and legal recognition of self-determined gender identity."However‚ SEGM — which stands for Society for Evidence Based Gender Medicine — published a response to the WHO's announcement. The group tasked with putting together the care guide is set to meet at the WHO headquarters in Geneva on February 19-21‚ 2024 "to evaluate and interpret the evidence‚ formulate guideline recommendations‚ and suggest implementation strategies‚" according to SEGM. "Since adolescents and young adults are the largest and fastest-growing group of transgender-identified individuals‚ it is likely that the WHO guidelines will apply to this vulnerable group as a target population‚" SEGM said. The group noted that there are several issues with the WHO's recent announcement‚ specifically the "biased guideline panel composition‚" an "inappropriately handled public comment period‚" and a "rushed guideline development process overall."The Daily Mail reported that the WHO has not added a single professional who has raised concerns about the potentially negative impact of puberty-blocking drugs on children. The report noted that Helen Joyce‚ from Sex Matters‚ said: "The WHO has chosen a blatantly biased global expert group to write this draft guidance on treating trans-identified people. Almost all its members are known to support medical interventions for gender distress that have no evidence of efficacy‚ and growing evidence of harm.""This is part of a disturbing pattern worldwide‚ in which trans healthcare guidance and programmes are written by small‚ ideologically driven groups behind closed doors‚ and then presented as definitive."Joyce continued: "The WHO should abandon its current draft and start over with a panel of genuine experts. The scientific evidence on risks and outcomes should be assessed rigorously and impartially‚ not through the lens of trans dogma‚ as it would be with any other public health issue."There is a petition going around that already has 1‚800 people calling on the WHO to "go back to the drawing board‚" according to the Mail."The majority of the panel members have expressed strong views in favour of hormonal and surgical interventions for transition‚ dismissed known and potential risks associated with these interventions‚ and denigrated psychotherapeutic approaches as 'conversion therapy‚'" the petition states.Like Blaze News? Inspiring stories from 2023 that will give you HOPE for 2024

In the face of Bidenomics‚ non-stop war‚ illness‚ and a near non-existent border‚ it can be hard to feel that you’ve made a difference. However‚ Glenn Beck has some good news for his audience: you have actually made a serious difference. “You might think that you haven’t done anything this year‚” Glenn says‚ noting that his audience is precisely the reason the Nazarene Fund has been able to support so many persecuted people this year. The Nazarene Fund is currently supporting roughly 125 people monthly inside of Afghanistan with food and life-sustaining supplies. Most of those being supported are widows with children or Christians in hiding. The fund is also evacuating high-risk individuals from Afghanistan to safe houses in Pakistan‚ where they wait for final resettlement. According to Glenn‚ 22‚000 people have been successfully relocated around the world. One of the biggest successes Glenn has seen is through a prison camp in Syria‚ called Al-Hol. The camp is full of about 10‚000 Yazidi slaves‚ and the Nazarene Fund is working tirelessly to free them. So far‚ 172 have been saved and sent to Australia while 18 have gone to Canada. But that’s not all. “We’re reuniting these women with their family members in Iraq‚ rescuing survivors from human trafficking in Iraq‚ we’re rescuing families fleeing religious persecution for their Christian faith in Syria‚ we have safe houses for at-risk Yazidi women and their children of war‚” Glenn explains. The Nazarene Fund has also responded with assistance to partners in Israel‚ with one chartered flight from Tel Aviv to Nashville for U.S. citizens and Israelis who were survivors of the October 7 attack. The fund has also partnered with Mercury One to provide funding for the relocation to the U.S. of six Israeli families who were survivors of the attack. But it doesn’t stop there. Operation Lego was launched in Nigeria on April 30 and targeted any and all individuals or rings involved with the illicit trade of organ harvesting‚ human trafficking‚ child abduction and exploitation‚ baby factories‚ and ritual killings. Six human traffickers have been arrested‚ and 32 children have been rescued and are now being cared for. “I just want you to know‚ there’s never been a commercial radio audience or I think a commercial television audience ever that has done anything like this‚” Glenn says. “Thank you. It is an honor to be around you and to serve you.” Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling‚ thought-provoking analysis‚ and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos‚ subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.

House Democrat raises alarm with haunting question about Clarence Thomas not complying with recusal demand

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) raised eyebrows on Sunday for questioning what should happen to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas if he doesn't recuse himself from a possible case involving Donald Trump.Last month‚ the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that Trump is constitutionally disqualified for the presidency‚ prompting Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows (D) to make the same judgment. Trump has not yet appealed to the Supreme Court to review Colorado's decision‚ though an appeal could come as early as Tuesday. But Democrats are already demanding that Thomas recuse himself from the potential forthcoming case. They argue the actions of Thomas' wife‚ and her beliefs about the 2020 election‚ render Thomas unable to judge fairly. In fact‚ according to Raskin‚ the question is not whether Thomas should recuse‚ but what to do with Thomas if he doesn't recuse."I think anybody looking at this in any kind of dispassionate‚ reasonable way would say‚ 'If your wife was involved in the 'big lie' and claiming that Donald Trump had actually won the presidential election and had been agitating for that and participating in the events leading up to Jan. 6‚ that you shouldn't be participating in—‚" Raskin said Sunday on CNN.When anchor Dana Bash interrupted Raskin to ask if that means he believes Thomas should refuse himself‚ Raskin confirmed‚ "Oh‚ he absolutely should recuse himself.""The question is: What do we do if he doesn't recuse himself?" the Democrat added. — (@) Raskin's question was interpreted as a veiled threat against Thomas warning him of consequences if he doesn't comply with Democrats' demand for his recusal. The comments‚ moreover‚ were interpreted as a foreshadowing of Democrats' reaction if the Supreme Court takes up Trump's appeal and rules that he is constitutionally eligible for the presidency: that Democrats will try to de-legitimize the Supreme Court by claiming that allowing Trump on ballots is a threat to American democracy. To be clear: there is zero evidence that Thomas is compromised‚ that he would have a conflict of interest in the forthcoming case‚ or that his wife's political opinions have any bearing on his decisions as a justice. Harvard honor council student says Claudine Gay should resign for 'serious violations of academic ethics'

A Harvard undergraduate who is a member of the institution's Honor Council recently published an op-ed claiming that the school's president was let off easy following allegations of plagiarism. This comes as Harvard president Claudine Gay has been accused of plagiarism and anti-Semitism‚ but the university's board continues to support her as president. The Harvard Crimson decided to publish the op-ed anonymously‚ so as to prevent the student from receiving retaliation."In my time on the Council‚ I heard dozens of cases‚" the student wrote. "When students — my classmates‚ peers‚ and friends — appear before the council‚ they are distraught. For most‚ it is the worst day of their college careers. For some‚ it is the worst day of their lives. They often cry.""It is because I have seen first-hand how heart-wrenching these decisions can be‚ and still think them necessary‚ that I call on University President Claudine Gay to resign for her numerous and serious violations of academic ethics.""When my peers are found responsible for multiple instances of inadequate citation‚ they are often suspended for an academic year‚" the student continued. "When the president of their university is found responsible for the same types of infractions‚ the fellows of the Corporation ‘unanimously stand in support of’ her." — (@) The student went on to lay out that Gay's habit of plagiarism was "routine and pervasive‚" noting that 43% of all Honor Council investigation concerned plagiarism during the 2021-2022 school year — the last year for which the data is available. The three watermarks of plagiarism are omitting quotation marks‚ not citing sources‚ or citing sources incompletely."In my experience‚ when students omit quotation marks and citations‚ as President Gay did‚ the sanction is usually one term of probation — a permanent mark on a student’s record‚" the student wrote. "A student on probation is no longer considered in good standing‚ disqualifying them from opportunities like fellowships and study-abroad programs. Good standing is also required to receive a degree."The Harvard Council was established in 2015‚ and "roughly 16 percent of students" who have appeared before the Council have been required to withdraw from the school. The op-ed conceded that a single instance of plagiarism could be a simple lapse in judgement‚ but it appears Gay made a habit of plagiarism in its different forms. The student concluded the piece by saying‚ "There is one standard for me and my peers and another‚ much lower standard for our University’s president. The Corporation should resolve the double standard by demanding her resignation." Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox.
