'I'm putting my name in the mix': After expulsion‚ former Rep. George Santos has his sights set on another role

In the wake of his expulsion from the House of Representatives‚ former GOP Rep. George Santos of New York has announced that he would like to serve as director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement."My new year resolution is that President Trump returns to the white house and in 2025 I can be appointed Director of ICE‚" Santos tweeted. "ICE has had their hands tied for far too long with the sole exception of the great four years of DJT. The time is now and that's why I'm putting my name in the mix for a role that will take grit and a fearless person and not a coward that will fear media spin.""It's time to reclaim our country and if you believe the nonsense numbers the media is giving you then you are accepting the big lie!" he wrote. "We have over 50M+ people who have invaded our sovereignty over the years due to careless and neglectful immigration policy‚ if given the job I know exactly where to start and run the much needed raids of removals proceedings this country needs‚" Santos claimed. — (@) On December 1‚ House lawmakers voted 311-114 in favor of ousting Santos. While 105 Republicans voted to expel their colleague‚ 112 voted against expulsion. And while 206 Democrats voted to oust Santos‚ two voted against expulsion‚ and two voted present. Santos‚ who is facing a litany of charges‚ according to an October 2023 U.S. Attorney's Office‚ Eastern District of New York press release‚ has reportedly pled not guilty.Trump is facing several primary challengers‚ but is holding a large lead in the polls. The GOP presidential nominating process will kick off later this month with the Iowa Republican presidential caucus.Like Blaze News? Jimmy Kimmel threatens to sue Aaron Rodgers after he suggests Kimmel is on the Jeffrey Epstein associates list

Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel lashed out against NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers after he suggested that Kimmel's name might be on a list of associates of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Rodgers made the comments while a guest on "The Pat McAfee Show" when one of the hosts asked him if he was sitting in his wine cellar‚ waiting to celebrate the release of the associates list. “There’s a lot of people‚ including Jimmy Kimmel‚ are really hoping that doesn't come out‚" Rodgers joked‚ prompting the show hosts to laugh. McAfee explained that Kimmel had used a clip from his show in order to mock Rodgers on the subject of the Epstein list‚ which was ordered to be released by a judge. “I'll tell you what‚ if that list comes out‚ I definitely will be popping some sort of bottle!" continued Rodgers. Kimmel responded in a post on social media on Tuesday. "Dear A***hole: for the record‚ I’ve not met‚ flown with‚ visited‚ or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein‚ nor will you find my name on any 'list' other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality‚" wrote Kimmel. "Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court‚" he added. The 40-year-old quarterback has been criticized by many on the left after he publicly lambasted the NFL for its coronavirus lockdown response and his skepticism about the vaccines. Rodgers was hyped as the answer to the New York Jets' Super Bowl hopes when he was traded to the team before the start of the 2023 season. He was injured in the first series of the first game and was knocked out for the rest of the season‚ tanking the hopes of the team and the fans. The team has missed the playoffs for the 13th straight season‚ the longest active drought in the NFL‚ and also for any team in the NBA‚ NHL‚ and MLB. Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez nailed with second set of allegations related to supposed bribery with Qatari company

Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey was nailed with a second set of bribery allegations related to money he allegedly accepted from an investment fund in Qatar. He is accused of making positive statements about the Muslim nation in order to help a developer in New Jersey obtain a multi-million-dollar investment from a company tied to Qatar. The developer was identified as Fred Daibes‚ and he was also indicted in the new allegations. “Menendez provided Daibes with these statements so that Daibes could share them with the Qatari Investor and a Qatari government official associated with the Qatari Investment Company‚” read the superseding indictment. Daibes is alleged to have purchased luxury watches worth between $10‚000 and $24‚000 and given them to Menendez in exchange for the positive comments about Qatar. Among the evidence is a message Daibes sent to the senator with photos of the watches asking‚ "How about one of these." The new allegations also suggest that the Qataris offered tickets to the Formula One Grand Prix in Florida to the wife of the senator and that he continued to receive other "things of value" after Daibes obtained the joint venture. Menendez was previously indicted on bribery charges related to alleged payments he received‚ including “cash‚ gold bars‚ payments toward a home mortgage‚ compensation for a low-or-no-show job‚ a luxury vehicle and other items of value.” He has pleaded not guilty to both sets of allegations. His attorney‚ Adam Fee‚ responded to the new allegations by saying that they "stink of desperation." Menendez has vehemently denied the charges and refused to step down from his office. While he has been lambasted by Republican politicians and pundits on the right‚ some on the left‚ like Democrat Sen. John Fetterman (Pa.)‚ have also ripped into the senator. "We have a colleague in the Senate that's actually done much more sinister kinds of things. He needs to go‚" said Fetterman after a Republican was expelled from Congress. "Menendez is really a senator for Egypt‚ not New Jersey."Daibes has also pleaded not guilty to the allegations. Here's a news report about the new allegations: Like Blaze News? Marc Lamont Hill insists Harvard's new president 'MUST be a Black woman' — and people have some suggestions for him

Marc Lamont Hill‚ a presidential professor at CUNY Graduate Center‚ has asserted that Harvard University's next president should be a black woman. "The next president of Harvard University MUST be a Black woman‚" he tweeted. The school will need to tap someone to fill the role‚ as Claudine Gay‚ who was Harvard's first black president‚ announced that she is resigning from the post. She noted in a resignation letter that she will "now return to the faculty‚ and to the scholarship and teaching that are the lifeblood of what we do."People replied to Hill by suggesting black women on the political right. In response to someone who mentioned conservative commentator Candace Owens‚ Hill wrote‚ "This is the problem. Y'all really think Black people are interchangeable." — (@) Some floated former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice‚ who served under GOP President George W. Bush. — (@) Others mentioned Carol Swain. "So you'd support @carolmswain for president?" Delano Squires‚ a contributor to BlazeTV's "Fearless with Jason Whitlock‚" tweeted.Someone else shared a photo of Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears holding a gun. "Your terms are acceptable‚" the tweet read. — (@) Chaya Raichik‚ the woman behind Libs of TikTok‚ mocked Hill by tweeting‚ "This is not inclusive enough‚ bigot. The next President of Harvard should be a Latinx nonbinary agender trisexual furry. That would be true diversity." "And not just any black woman! She must be short. And one-legged. And in the process of transitioning to be a man. Academic credentials entirely optional. This is #DEI‚" Dinesh D'Souza mocked. — (@) Like Blaze News? 13-year-old girl arrested for brutally stabbing her mother more than two dozen times‚ according to Texas police

A 13-year-old girl was arrested by Texas police after she allegedly stabbed her mother more than two dozen times at their San Antonio home. Bexar County sheriff's deputies were called to the home on the 11000 block of Talon Run on the Northwest Side at about 6 p.m. on Thursday. When they arrived‚ they found the girl's 33-year-old mother with numerous stab wounds. The woman was transported to a hospital where she remains in critical condition after being rushed into surgery‚ according to police. The girl was detained by police at that time. The girl appeared in juvenile court in pigtails on Tuesday. WOAI-TV reported that the girl's father appeared in court to offer support for his daughter. Investigators said police also found bloody brass knuckles and a dumbbell they say were used in the brutal attack. A judge found that there was enough probable cause to keep the girl in custody. Her next hearing will be January 17. Additionally‚ on the night of the stabbing‚ a deputy was driving to the scene when they were involved in a multi-vehicle crash. The officer was uninjured‚ but three people were hospitalized‚ including the driver of another vehicle‚ a one-year-old child‚ and a 42-year-old adult. A similar incident unfolded in October when Florida police were called to the scene of a stabbing and found a 39-year-old mother dead. They later released a recording of the 911 call made by her 13-year-old son‚ who allegedly admitted to stabbing his mother and sending photos of her body to a friend he knew online. "I don't know his real name because he's an online friend who I play with a lot‚" the boy reportedly said on the audio recording. The boy was charged with second-degree murder.
