The 17-year-old student is a junior at Zeeland East High School‚ and she plays basketball. More specifically‚ she’s a member on her school’s Unified Sports team — this means both students with and without disabilities are on the team. During one of their games‚ this blind teen found herself in the position to shoot a free throw. Because Jules can’t see the ball or the hoop‚ someone uses a long stick to gently tap near the basket.
