Former EPA Chief Explains to Fox News Why Biden EV Mandate Is Doomed

Former EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler lit up President Joe Biden for pushing draconian electric vehicle mandates on the American people while presiding over a disastrous rollout of supporting infrastructure.  During a Dec. 30 Fox News appearance‚ Wheeler told Fox News Contributor Charles Hurt that Biden is plunging ahead with plans to radically alter what type of vehicles Americans can drive in the future. “The Biden administration is doubling down on requiring people to buy electric vehicles without having the infrastructure in place‚” Wheeler said‚ before mentioning the dangerous regulation coming down the pike. “Biden called for 50% of all new sales‚ car sales to be EVs by 2030 and they just released a new EPA regulation calling for 67 percent of new car sales to be EVs by 2032. And last year while we sold a million EV cars — I think that’s great‚ I’m all for consumer choice if people want to buy them — but what they’re trying to do is social engineer people into EVs regardless of the cost and regardless of the environmental cost or the impact to society.”  Wheeler made the point that Biden is not only trying to force electric vehicles on Americans‚ but also has presided over $7.5 billion in spending on electric chargers for these vehicles in 2021. Wheeler agreed with Hurt on the slow pace and minuscule results of the billions Biden flushed down the drain after Hurt noted that only one charger had been built so far. “That first charger was built in Ohio‚ which is where I am today. There’s a few chargers that are in development in New York as well‚ but you’re right it's taken 2 years 7.5 billion dollars and they’re just starting to deploy the chargers‚” Wheeler said. The former EPA administrator didn’t stop at noting wasteful spending and government coercion of Americans’ choices. Wheeler also pointed out that a shift towards electric vehicles would make the United States more dependent on China and counterintuitively harm the environment rather than help it. Referring to electric vehicles‚ Wheeler added‚ “I think people should have the choice to buy them if they want to‚ but that’s not where they’re headed‚ that’s not what they’re mandating and forcing‚ and we’re reliant on China for the raw materials and rare earth minerals to go into the batteries that power these cars.”  Wheeler went on to heavily criticize the supply chain necessary for such a shift‚ noting that‚ “Just this week there was an explosion at a Chinese-owned nickel factory in Indonesia that killed 18 people. When China is mining for these minerals and when they’re building these batteries‚ they’re not following good environmental standards and they’re not following good safety standards for the workers either and that’s who we’re relying upon to fuel these electric vehicles here in the United States.” Conservatives are under attack! Contact ABC News at 818-460-7477‚ CBS News at 212-975-3247 and NBC News at 212-664-6192 and demand they hold Biden and his cronies accountable for attempting to restrict fossil fuel production and Americans’ choices

See Who’s Backing Biden Censorship Regime in Free Speech Lawsuit

A powerful group of leftist entities‚ including academics‚ doctors and a lawmaker‚ are rallying behind the Biden administration’s un-American censorship operations as it battles a pending Supreme Court case. The influential leftists showed their support for the Biden administration in the form of various friend-of-the-court briefs for the Missouri v. Biden case (renamed Murthy v. Missouri). The briefs dubiously allege that blocking the federal government from influencing social media companies to censor free speech may undermine public health‚ national security and oddly enough‚ the First Amendment. The briefs‚ first reported by Just the News on Dec. 27‚ stemmed from the legal battle between the Biden administration and the Republican attorneys general of Missouri and Louisiana.  Related: Dems Petition SCOTUS to Allow Big Tech-Gov’t Collusion Among the individuals issuing dire warnings supporting the Biden administration are Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Mark Warner (D-VA)‚ Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press‚ Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University‚ the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Medical Association‚ Stanford University and U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Citing alleged foreign attacks‚ Warner urged the Court to take adverse action against the lower courts’ rulings that found that the federal government violated the First Amendment when it coerced social media companies to censor Americans. “To preserve America’s ability to respond quickly and effectively to foreign malign influence campaigns that target our national security and elections‚ this Court should reverse the judgment of the Fifth Circuit in relevant part and direct that the preliminary injunction be vacated in its entirety‚” Warner claimed. He ignored the injunction’s exceptions designed to allow the government to work with social media companies to protect Americans in cases of national security‚ election security and foreign interference. Stanford University‚ the home of the infamous Stanford Internet Observatory‚ shamelessly said that the lower courts’ rulings are “plagued by numerous errors of law and fact.” The university claimed that blocking the federal government from colluding with social media companies to censor Americans has “cast a chill across academia as an example of political targeting of disfavored speech by state governments and the federal judiciary.” You May Also Like: Jordan Intensifies Stanford Censorship Probe‚ Threatens Subpoena Enforcement “In reversing the judgment below‚ the Court should reaffirm the First Amendment’s highest protections for Stanford’s research and speech on matters of public concern‚ and it should make clear that academic institutions do not become state actors when they communicate or collaborate with government officials‚” the university claimed.  The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press — whose steering committee includes reporters from The New York Times‚ CNN‚ Politico‚ and The Associated Press‚ among others — claimed that the lower courts’ rulings partially banning the government from communicating with social media could somehow undermine the flow of information between the press and the federal government. Columbia University’s Knight Institute said that the Court should clarify what constitutes coercion by applying a test from the Bantam Books‚ Inc. v. Sullivan (a 1963 case related to free speech and government coercion). In that case‚ the Court held that the government merely communicating with publishing companies does not violate the First Amendment. The justices held that a legal threat must take place before running afoul of the First Amendment. Echoing the previous briefs’ sentiments‚ the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Medical Association resuscitated alleged COVID-19-related misinformation as reason enough to protect the federal government’s so-called ability to communicate with social media companies in the name of public health. “It is an indisputable scientific fact that vaccinations save lives‚” the medical association claimed. Placing the cherry on top‚ the U.S. Chamber of Commerce asked the Court to shut down the injunction because it put social media on legal jeopardy “for actions they were coerced to take.” The U.S. Chamber of Commerce claimed that in the event that the First Amendment is being violated‚ “liability must rest solely with the government.” Conservatives are under attack. 3 radical moves Democrats could make in the 2024 election

If you were planning on a quiet start to 2024‚ then you’re in for a rude awakening. The beginning of election season is only weeks away‚ and Democrats are already doing what they do best: playing dirty and trying to get Donald Trump out of the race. “You have one side saying all they care about is democracy as they’re trying to get the other guy removed from the ballot‚” Stu Burguiere tells Glenn Beck‚ who notes that not one but two states are attempting to remove him. Those attempting to remove Trump from the ballot are invoking the 14th Amendment — even though he hasn’t even been charged with insurrection. But the Democrats won’t stop there‚ and Glenn believes they’re about to play even dirtier. “I really believe the Democrats are going to do their superdelegate‚ which can vote differently than the public‚” Glenn says‚ explaining that the superdelegate is a “hand-selected group of people that the party elites select.” If the elites “feel for the party or for democracy’s sake the people have been duped‚ they can override their vote‚” he adds. As Joe Biden continues to lose ground in the polls‚ Glenn thinks they may have no choice. While it’s too late in the game to get on the ballot‚ it’s not too late to throw in someone who seems to have been secretly campaigning for a long time. “You can’t even get anyone on the ballot‚” Glenn says‚ but “superdelegates stand in and they say‚ 'You know what? For the good of the country‚ we need somebody that can unite us all. And that would be Michelle Obama.'" “This is Soviet Union stuff‚” Glenn continues. “The next step‚ honestly‚ is to put your opponent in jail.” “And it’s all under the context of an argument for democracy‚” Stu adds in awe. 'Friends' star David Schwimmer blasts those who deny Hamas raped Jews amid Oct. 7 surprise attack: 'Where is their outrage?'

'Friends' star David Schwimmer blasts those who deny Hamas raped Jews amid Oct. 7 surprise attack: 'Where is their outrage?'

"Friends" star David Schwimmer blasted those who deny Hamas raped Jews during the terror group's Oct. 7 surprise attack against Israel. What are the details? Schwimmer‚ who is Jewish‚ detailed his point of view in a Friday post on Instagram‚ noting that he served on the board of directors for the Rape Foundation for almost 20 years and has been an advocate for child and adult survivors of sexual violence for almost 30 years. "One crucial aspect I learned early on about the healing process‚ and for justice to be served by the criminal offenders‚ is that the survivor be BELIEVED‚" Schwimmer added. More from his post: Why do so many REFUSE TO BELIEVE — despite all the evidence on camera and in testimony — the women‚ children and men brutally assaulted by terrorists on Oct. 7th? Where is their outrage? In the weeks and months that followed‚ it became clear that their activism‚ their advocacy‚ is conditional. They’ll fight like hell for ALL victims of sexual violence — unless they’re Jews.Schwimmer added that for many of the deniers‚ it's a "convenient way of avoiding compassion and personal responsibility."The "Friends" alum also linked to last week's investigative story from the New York Times — "'Screams Without Words': How Hamas Weaponized Sexual Violence on Oct. 7" — as part of his Instagram post."Perhaps this article will finally make them realize they got it wrong and come to terms with their unconscious bias‚" Schwimmer added. In related newsIn November‚ tech icon Sheryl Sandberg wrote a CNN op-ed that took the same route as Schwimmer's Instagram post‚ saying the "silence on these war crimes is deafening." In the wake of Sandberg's piece‚ co-host of "The View" Whoopi Goldberg suggested that condemning Hamas' rape and sexual assault of Israeli women could "exacerbate" the terror group's fury amid the Israel-Hamas war.Last month‚ NewsNation's Chris Cuomo said he watched raw Oct. 7 video that showed Hamas "enjoyed mutilating" Jews and held their "heads and bloody corpses" as "trophies."Schwimmer also called the presidents of Harvard‚ the University of Pennsylvania‚ and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology "morally bankrupt" in early December amid their highly criticized congressional testimonies about anti-Semitism on their college campuses."Incapable of answering even the most direct 'yes' or 'no' questions‚ watch them duck and smirk at the unbridled anti-Semitism and calls for genocide on their campuses. Where is the outrage among students‚ faculty‚ and alumni demanding their resignations‚ an official apology‚ and enforcement of the codes of conduct?" he asked. "Silence is complicity."Harvard's President Claudine Gay resigned Tuesday‚ although her exit came amid mounting plagiarism accusations. Penn's President Elizabeth Magill resigned in early December‚ just days after her congressional testimony. Like Blaze News? Police investigate first case of 'virtual rape' after girl gets 'attacked' by group of men in metaverse

British police recently opened an investigation into a "virtual rape" after a girl's avatar was "attacked" by a group of men while playing video games in the metaverse‚ the Daily Mail first reported Monday.Metaverse users wear a virtual reality headset to immerse themselves in gaming‚ fitness‚ entertainment‚ and social experiences where they can connect with other users worldwide. The child‚ who was under the age of 16‚ was reportedly in an online "room" when several adult male users approached her digital character. Since the incident took place in the metaverse‚ the girl was not physically attacked by the gang of online strangers. However‚ officers reportedly compared the girl's psychological and emotional trauma to that of an actual rape victim.A senior official familiar with the case told the Daily Mail‚ "This child experienced psychological trauma similar to that of someone who has been physically raped. There is an emotional and psychological impact on the victim that is longer term than any physical injuries.""It poses a number of challenges for law enforcement given current legislation is not set up for this‚" the official added. There have been reports of a number of virtual sexual assaults in Horizon Worlds‚ a free video game created by Meta Platforms where users can create their own avatars. A senior police officer told the Daily Mail that sexual offenses have become "rife" in the metaverse. This incident is believed to be the first time United Kingdom authorities have investigated a virtual sexual offense. With police resources limited‚ authorities are reportedly struggling to keep up with a backlog of actual rape cases‚ the Daily Mail noted. The announcement of the investigation has raised questions about whether law enforcement should be investigating virtual crimes. Ian Critchley with the National Police Chiefs' Council told the Daily Mail that the metaverse "creates a gateway for predators to commit horrific crimes against children.""We know offenders' tactics to groom and commit offences are constantly evolving. This is why our collective fight against predators like in this case‚ is essential to ensuring young people are protected online and can use technology safely without threat or fear‚" Critchley continued. "As such‚ our policing approach must continually evolve to enable us to relentlessly pursue predators and safeguard victims across all online spaces."Graeme Biggar‚ the National Crime Agency's director general‚ told the Evening Standard that the agency is weighing how it will police crime in the metaverse."It's not dominating our thinking because there is plenty of real world crime for us to be getting on with‚ but if you are in the metaverse wearing a haptic suit where you can sense what is happening to [you] and then you are sexually assaulted‚ raped or murdered‚ even if you are not wearing a haptic suit‚ is that ok?" Biggar questioned.Biggar explained that those wearing a haptic suit "are going to feel a physical manifestation of that rape or murder."Meta told the Daily Mail‚ "The kind of behaviour described has no place on our platform‚ which is why for all users we have an automatic protection called personal boundary‚ which keeps people you don't know a few feet away from you."Like Blaze News? This NFL player says he doesn’t want WHITE PEOPLE teaching his kids...

Former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton‚ who is currently a free agent‚ apparently has a problem with white people teaching his seven children. Jason Whitlock plays the video of Newton explaining his issues with the private schools he sends his kids to. "Something alarming happened when my daughter came home. ... She said‚ 'Dad‚ a white person is teaching us about black history‚' and I was like‚ 'Yo‚ that's not right‚'" Newton said. “If a white person is teaching about black history‚ can a black person teach about Caucasian history [or] European history?” he asked. “You could‚ but there's gonna be some things that are left out‚” like “slavery [and] how Africans moved to America.” One of Newton’s interviewers had her own bit to add. “They’re not letting black teachers…” she trailed off‚ insinuating that black educators are being barred from teaching in schools. “Black teachers have been banned‚ and white teachers don't teach about slavery‚ and Cam Newton has no responsibility to teach his own kids about history‚” sighs Whitlock in staunch disagreement with Newton’s perspective. “Black professors or teachers certainly can teach European history‚” adds Delano Squires‚ who agrees that Newton should assume the responsibility of teaching his children about history. “I think all of this colorized history is a mistake. ... We just need to teach American history‚ and that should be universal to everybody‚” says Whitlock. Squires‚ however‚ does find value in teaching black history specifically. “There are certain facts of history — a certain battle took place on this particular day‚ a certain event took place on another day — but the perspective on those issues is very much different‚” he explains. “Consider how different ... the death of George Floyd will be taught in schools 50 years from now‚ depending on whether you have a teacher who has‚ let's say‚ more pro-law enforcement leanings as opposed to one who has more pro-BLM leanings.” Both types of teachers will convey that “yes‚ this man died on this particular day‚ but how he died‚ how they characterize it‚ [and] the terms that they use will be very much different‚ depending on who shapes the narrative‚” he tells Whitlock. To hear their full analysis‚ watch the clip below. Democrats will stick with the disastrous Joe Biden

Watching our verbally challenged‚ glaringly corrupt chief executive stumbling around on a speaker’s platform as he tries to recite the sentences prepared by his staff over a teleprompter‚ one wonders whether Democratic leaders should stick with this presidential candidate. They probably will — and for good reason. It may be too late to dump stumbling Joe Biden or his ditzy vice president‚ who checks two boxes for her job being partly black and‚ more noticeably‚ female. In Biden’s case‚ we are dealing with the ultimate Teflon president‚ a politician who has defied all odds by leading his party to unexpected victories while technically heading an administration that always seems to be in shambles. Biden will likely enter the 2024 presidential race with campaign funds vastly exceeding those of his opponents. The media will then lend the Democrats unstinting support. In the face of inflated prices‚ a deliberately open southern border‚ a surging crime rate in our cities‚ and a government smothering us with wokeness‚ Biden’s party did smashingly well in two elections. In 2022 and 2023‚ the Democratic Party prevailed in contests it was supposed to lose. Other presidents‚ including the now media-sanctified Barack Obama‚ saw their parties falter in off-year elections. But that didn’t happen to Biden. His party surged to senatorial and gubernatorial successes despite Biden’s poor poll numbers‚ a tanking economy‚ and a broken southern border. No president in modern times has done so well snatching victories out of the jaws of defeat. Further‚ I am not impressed by the argument that Biden was not directly on the ballot in off-year elections‚ and so‚ the Democrats could campaign without having him in the picture. Biden and his fellow Democrats did well by pouncing on Donald Trump‚ although the former president was not running in the off-year elections. The Democrats presented themselves as the preservers of democracy against the supposedly corrupt‚ authoritarian Trump and his “MAGA Republican” partisans. Biden and his associates persuaded voters that they were combating a fascist threat. They also convinced carefully targeted voters that they were upholding the “reproductive rights of women” against the will Republicans who wish to force women to bear children against their will. These charges seemed at the time to be thoroughly over the top. But I was wrong. My Republican senatorial candidate‚ Mehmet Oz‚ tried to run away from the abortion issue. He was undone by unmarried women who viewed him and other Republicans as male chauvinists. Palpably brain-damaged Democrat John Fetterman‚ who advocated unlimited abortion rights‚ won the U.S. Senate race by almost five points‚ thereby proving that sentience has nothing to do with winning elections anymore. The determinative factor for elections in heavily populated areas is the leftist power structure. Corporate capitalists‚ the administrative state‚ officially disadvantaged minorities‚ and the corporate press all work together to control our urban vote. Whether Democratic candidates are capable of thinking may matter less than their support for policies that our power brokers seek to implement. Biden will likely enter the 2024 presidential race with campaign funds vastly exceeding those of his opponents. The media will then lend the Democrats unstinting support. After four judges in Colorado voted to remove Trump from the primary ballot on the entirely unproven grounds that he engaged in “insurrection‚” the media spun the story in such a way that a majority of respondents in a national poll expressed support for this bizarre decision. It is one the Supreme Court will likely strike down. Meanwhile‚ the FBI‚ the Department of Justice‚ and Democratic judges at all levels will help run interference for their guy. American Enterprise Institute fellow Marc Thiessen wondered aloud on Fox News recently why Trump was barely leading Biden in the polls if the incumbent is as unpopular as he seems. Thiessen’s implied explanation was that the race seems so close even with a disastrous president because of all the baggage carried by Trump. The real reason is more complex. The election outcome remains uncertain even with all of Biden’s screwups because the Democrats have so many weapons at their disposal. There won’t be an even playing field in the 2024 election‚ especially not if Trump is the Republican nominee. The Donald has become the issue around which the Democrats will mobilize. Of course‚ if the opponent turns out unexpectedly to be Vivek Ramaswamy or Ron DeSantis‚ then the knives will come out just as predictably. Nikki Haley may be less of a media target since she represents less of a danger to the swamp. But she‚ too‚ could be transformed into a right-wing menace. The media recently piled on her for stressing the role of government in answering a question about the cause of the Civil War. It seems that Haley‚ in her impromptu response‚ failed to focus emphatically on the evil of slavery. Even swamp creatures‚ we learn‚ are expected to give politically correct answers to historical questions. Only Democratic candidates are spared such ordeals. Political commentary and public administration are now so thoroughly parts of our leftist establishment that electoral outcomes seem all but pre-programmed. Republicans must consider that as they lay out a battle plan for this year. Assuming an easy victory because the other side has wrecked the country may be optimism bordering on insanity.
