Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) made it clear that he wasn’t buying veteran Democrat strategist James Carville’s analysis going into the 2024 presidential election — namely his claim that President Joe Biden’s chances of winning were less than stellar. Fetterman called Carville out directly during an interview with POLITICO that was published on Wednesday‚ while responding to questions about Biden’s chances in Pennsylvania. “All I do know is that the president will win Pennsylvania. And I do believe if he wins Pennsylvania‚ and I believe he will‚ he will be a second-term president‚” Fetterman said‚ before pivoting to address Carville’s assessment of the situation. “There’s a whole lifetime in politics between now and next November as well. I’m not worried about that. And I’m very vocal about this‚ too‚ while there are Democrats that are being very critical about the president‚” Fetterman continued. “I’ll use this [as] another opportunity to tell James Carville to shut the f*** up. Like I said‚ my man hasn’t been relevant since grunge was a thing. And I don’t know why he believes it’s helpful to say these kinds of things about an incredibly difficult circumstance with an incredibly strong and decent and excellent president. The 70-year-old actor was cited for reportedly venturing into the off-limits “thermal area” at the national park‚ the Messenger reported. Court documents showed the James Bond star was cited in U.S. District Court for “foot travel in a thermal area” and for a “closure violation” at Mammoth Terrace. The date when the reported incident occurred was listed as November 1‚ and an initial court date regarding the matter has been set for January 23. Brosnan‚ who has been in the area recently while filming a Western called “Unholy Trinity” with Samuel L. Jackson‚ has yet to respond to the reports.
