When Horse Trainers Go To Fix Fences, The Entire Crew Decides To Tag Along!
Horse trainers perform all types of odd jobs around a ranch. When something breaks, it needs to be fixed very soon. When the fence breaks, it becomes an all-hands effort to make repairs to keep the horses from escaping. Just because the participants don’t have hands is no reason for them not to assist in the repair.
@9livesequestrian Glad to know the crew was around to help. Also Jarod the rooster just showed up one day and hasn’t left. He actually terrifies me so if you have any advice please let me know ♬ original sound – Nine Lives Equestrian
Everyone participates in this all-hands effort. Including Jarod the rooster! The horse trainers used the trailer to pick up supplies before the repair. When they drove the trailer out to the pasture to repair the fence, it was what attracted the curious minions. They use their trailer to transport the horses to shows and competitions, so naturally, the horses all thought they were getting a ride. Jarod probably just tagged along to terrorize the trainers.
When they stopped at the fence breach, the horses climbed into the trailer to assist with unloading. Unfortunately, the horses had to come out before the fencing could come out. Although the animals thought they were being helpful, they were obstructing the repair at every step.
@9livesequestrian Monday we got a call saying horses were out. Yet again. So we decided to buy more panels and put it over the wire fence. The owner of this field doesn’t love us doing stuff to the fence so this is how we solved our problem. The horses were soooo curious to what we were doing. Got the fence fixed luckily and hopefully no more phone calls ♬ original sound – Nine Lives Equestrian
Maybe the horse trainers should have borrowed this farmer’s cattle dog to help them keep the nosy horses away during the fence repairs. No amount of training can prevent curious animals from exploring everything within their line of sight. They want to know everything. Unless they are kept in their stalls, they will make an appearance to “help.”
These horse trainers work at Nine Lives Equestrian in Provo, Utah. The woman-owned ranch trains horses and riders, specializing in equestrian and western riding, and sells well-trained horses for recreational or competitive riding. You can follow the ranch on Instagram and TikTok for more adventures.
