Democrat Candidate Slammed For Calling Purple Heart Recipient ‘Dumb Motherf***er’ Who Didn’t ‘Deserve To Live’

The stories of troubling past comments and behavior keep surfacing in the campaign of US Senate candidate Graham Platner, a Democrat from Maine. After an initial controversy surrounding a tattoo that appeared to depict Nazi symbolism, he attracted backlash for unearthed explicit Reddit posts that many described as disturbing. Now, more of his previous online musings are coming to light, and these are particularly objectionable, as Breitbart reported: “This video never gets old,” Platner wrote in a June 2019 Reddit post, referring to a viral video featuring Pfc. Ted Daniels in a 2012 firefight with the Taliban, which resulted in the soldier being shot four times and earning a Purple Heart for his injuries. “Dumb motherfucker didn’t deserve to live,” the Democrat Senate hopeful — whose archived Reddit rants can be found on the Maine Monitor’s database — said in his since-deleted post. Platner went on to write, “At least his stupidity and fat ass wheezing are available for all future infantrymen to witness and hold in contempt.” “Poor marksmanship on the Taliban’s part is the only reason this mouthbreather made it home, he managed to make every possible shit decision possible when it comes to small unit combat,” Platner added. The unearthed posts come from a deleted, but archived, Reddit account known as “P-Hustle,” which Platner previously acknowledged was his. His comments received widespread opprobrium and speculation on social media: A Senate candidate wrote that a soldier shot four times by the Taliban "didn't deserve to live." This is who Maine Democrats put on the ballot. Remember that in November. — Commentary: Rush Limbaugh News (@ElRushboNews) May 20, 2026 Ever think the democrats want to keep Collins in there, that's why they run this pos against her . — chip (@chipster442415) May 20, 2026 Sounds like the ideal contemporary Democrat candidate. — Bonnie & Stephen (@bonnewillbonne) May 20, 2026   The Daily Caller also reported on his gone-but-not-forgotten posts: Platner became the Democrats’ presumptive nominee after Maine Gov. Janet Mills ended her campaign in April as she trailed behind Platner in the polls. He received endorsements from independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren. In October 2025, Platner expressed regret over a tattoo of a Nazi symbol and covered it up. He said he got the tattoo two decades ago and had no idea it had a link to Nazis. Platner’s campaign did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment. Here’s some additional coverage of the latest development: Maine Dem Senate candidate Graham Platner just got caught mocking a wounded Purple Heart hero, literally wishing the Taliban had finished the job. He Said “Dumb motherfucker didn’t deserve to live… poor marksmanship on the Taliban’s part is the only reason this mouth breather… pic.twitter.com/5wVs6mSfbb — D. BREAKING: President Trump’s DOJ Launches 15-City National Tour

President Trump’s Department of Justice is taking the fight against antisemitism on the road. The DOJ’s Federal Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism announced a 15-city National Awareness & Action Tour on Monday, designed to put federal pressure directly on local communities, school districts, and law enforcement agencies that have allowed antisemitism to fester. Leo Terrell, chair of the task force, will personally lead the tour, meeting with Jewish communities, faith leaders, and local officials in cities across the country. DOJ Announces 15-City Nationwide Antisemitism "Awareness & Action Tour" Promising To Strengthen Collaboration Between Local/Federal Law Enforcement & Jewish Communities Plus, Rosen And Lankford Introduce New Antisemitism Bill On Same Day @HarrisonHSmith LIVE:… pic.twitter.com/Un0iN3c2bo — Alex Jones Network (@AJNlive) May 20, 2026 The Justice Department laid out the tour’s goals in clear terms. The tour is designed to increase reporting of antisemitic incidents by local officials, strengthen collaboration between local law enforcement, federal agencies, and Jewish communities, and build broader interfaith opposition to antisemitism among Jewish, Baptist Christian, Catholic, and Muslim communities. The DOJ also said the tour will address antisemitism in K-12 schools and teacher unions to make sure students are protected from discrimination and harassment. Leo Terrell, chair of the DOJ Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism, will lead the tour and meet with people and communities impacted by antisemitism while working to identify practical local solutions. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said the national tour is meant to show communities that the federal government is ready to work with them to confront antisemitic threats, protect public safety, and uphold civil rights. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said President Trump has made it clear that his administration will not tolerate antisemitism. Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward put it in equally direct terms: Jewish Americans deserve to live, work, worship, and send their children to school without fear of harassment, intimidation, or violence. The DOJ is framing this as a civil-rights enforcement priority, and the 15-city tour signals that Washington is done waiting for local officials to act on their own. Jewish Insider added more detail on Terrell’s role and the local focus behind the push. Terrell will oversee the creation of a DOJ Antisemitism Advisory Committee while embarking on the 15-city swing to engage Jewish communities, faith leaders, and law enforcement officials. The advisory body is expected to recommend coordinated and timely responses to antisemitism for the attorney general and other DOJ leaders. Terrell told Jewish Insider he had submitted a list of nominees to President Trump after receiving approval from Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to launch both the advisory committee and the tour. The schedule was still being finalized, and Terrell said he was open to expanding beyond the initial 15 cities. His focus is local. He pointed to failures in cities, school districts, prosecutors’ offices, school boards, and superintendent offices, arguing that communities need direct pressure and practical solutions instead of another report that disappears into Washington bureaucracy. He also told the outlet he wants Jewish Americans involved in local elections, because the officials closest to schools, prosecutors’ offices, and city halls are often the ones deciding whether antisemitic conduct is confronted or excused. That local focus is the whole point. Cities, school districts, local prosecutors, and school boards are all in the frame. The DOJ is publicly naming the institutions that have dropped the ball. Anyone who has watched college campuses and K-12 schools tolerate open antisemitism over the past few years knows exactly which failures Terrell is talking about. Thanks to @realdonaldtrump @DAGToddBlanche and @ASGwoodward! Office of Public Affairs | Federal Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism Announces 15-City National Awareness & Action Tour | United States Department of Justice https://t.co/JmLGZy9B3e — Leo Terrell (@LeoTerrellDOJ) May 21, 2026 The Trump administration has consistently treated antisemitism as a front-line civil-rights issue, and this tour is the latest escalation. Sending a federal task force chair into 15 cities to meet with affected communities and confront local officials face-to-face is the kind of action that forces accountability. School boards, union leaders, and local prosecutors who have looked the other way are officially on notice. This is a Guest Post from our friends over at WLTReport. View the original article here.

‘I Don’t Buy It’: Lawmaker Calls Rep. Omar’s Latest Fraud Excuse ‘Revisionist History’

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is facing sharp scrutiny on multiple fronts, including the rampant fraud across her state that new evidence suggests she helped proliferate. In the wake of allegations that Omar set the stage for fraudsters to take advantage of a program ostensibly meant to feed the hungry, she called claims she had advanced knowledge of the scheme “flat-out false” and insisted that she sent a letter to the US Department of Agriculture upon becoming aware of it.  But one of the state lawmakers tasked with investigating the fraud said her excuse is too convenient and not supported by the evidence.  Here’s what Fox News reported: The report offered a strong critique of Omar, asserting that her MEALS Act, implemented into the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, “took the guardrails off” federal nutrition programs by allowing for-profit restaurants to participate and permitting “grab-and-go” flexibilities that made it nearly impossible to verify if children were actually being fed by the Feeding Our Future program. The committee’s Republican chair, state Rep. Kristin Robbins, has suggested that Congress should take action to enforce the subpoena and get more answers about questions related to Omar’s alleged association with convicted fraudsters, her public promotion of a Minneapolis restaurant that later became linked to the program, along with communication and meeting records with the Minnesota Department of Education and constituents.   “She only sent a letter once the fraud was exposed,” Robbins told Fox News Digital in response to Omar’s statement. “Prior to that, she sent letters urging the administration to keep the waivers in place — allowing the fraud to continue. Sounds like revisionist history. I don’t buy it at all.” Earlier this month, Fox News Digital reported that a former Omar staffer sent an email to the committee also pointing to Trump’s USDA during his first term and downplaying the potential negative impact of Omar’s MEALS Act legislation. “The reality is simple: Minnesota officials had warnings, complaints, and evidence for months – what MN staff described as an ‘open secret’ – yet failed to stop one of the largest COVID fraud schemes in history,” a USDA spokesperson told Fox News Digital after publication. “USDA’s Office of Inspector General helped investigate and arrest dozens involved in the scheme. Regulations do not force states to ignore fraud, and do not absolve them from doing the right thing.  Blaming federal rules after the fact does not erase Minnesota’s failure to act while taxpayers were defrauded of hundreds of millions of dollars meant to feed hungry children.” TAP HERE TO ADD YOUR VOTE Here’s a clip of her reaction to questions on the matter from a Fox News reporter:   Backup here if needed: Rep. Ilhan Omar stays silent when pressed about her alleged ties to Minnesota’s massive fraud scandal. Fox News Digital repeatedly asked Omar about individuals connected to the “Feeding Our Future” case and whether she had concerns about fraud tied to pandemic-era programs in… pic.twitter.com/Uyq7u4jLFX — Fox News (@FoxNews) May 20, 2026 Plenty of others are connecting dots that seem to put the congresswoman suspiciously close to the fraud being perpetrated right under her nose: Nick Shirley says Ilhan Omar is “petrified” as more federal child care fraud charges hit Minnesota, claiming the alleged scheme happened right inside her district. “She knew about this fraud.” People are catching on.pic.twitter.com/BWzkWVu6Ay — Mario Nawfal (@MarioNawfal) May 20, 2026 And as Vice President JD Vance recently announced, Omar could soon be facing charges more serious than those made on social media: OMAR ON HOT SEAT?: “The Right Squad” lauded Vice President JD Vance’s mention that the DOJ is looking into Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar following major discrepancies in her financial disclosure filings.@mercedesschlapp @ASwoyer @dlippman @Jesse_Leg @TimothyDoescher pic.twitter.com/o98Qluk7hc — NEWSMAX (@NEWSMAX) May 21, 2026 The New York Post provided this coverage of Omar’s response to the latest controversy: “As I stated from the beginning, stealing millions of dollars under the guise of feeding hungry children to bankroll lavish lifestyles and extravagant expenses is reprehensible,” Omar said. “I’m grateful that Aimee Bock and every individual involved in this abhorrent scheme are being held accountable for defrauding taxpayers and betraying vulnerable children.” Omar’s comment comes after she faced mounting pressure to explain her knowledge of and connections to the scandal that cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. The Minnesota House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee invited Omar to testify about what she knew but says she never responded, which prompted an effort to subpoena information from her. That effort was blocked by Democrats on the committee. Just last week, the committee released its final report that accused Gov. Tim Walz’s administration of fostering a “culture of tolerance” that allowed fraudsters to steal billions in taxpayer dollars overall. BREAKING: Top Trump Official And Kennedy Family Member RESIGNS

Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, a former undercover CIA officer and member of the Kennedy family by marriage, is resigning from two intelligence-related posts in President Trump’s administration. Fox Kennedy is stepping down as Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Policy and Capabilities under DNI Tulsi Gabbard, and from her senior intelligence and international affairs role at the White House Office of Management and Budget. The Washington Post immediately tried to frame the departure as a break with President Trump over Iran policy. Fox Kennedy was having none of it. She took to X and torched the claim directly: For the last year and a half, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the security of our nation under the leadership of a President wholly and profoundly devoted to the safety and success of the American people. I’ve witnessed him work tirelessly to deliver a global and… — Amaryllis Fox (@amaryllisfox) May 20, 2026 “Hogwash,” she wrote, calling President Trump “our Peacemaker in Chief” and adding: “Make no mistake about it — I stand with the President EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.” People described the family and job backdrop behind the resignation: Fox Kennedy is Robert F Kennedy Jr’s daughter-in-law and is married to Robert F Kennedy III. She previously helped run Kennedy’s 2024 presidential campaign before he endorsed President Trump and later joined the administration as Secretary of Health and Human Services. Her Trump administration work included multiple intelligence-related jobs, including Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Policy and Capabilities and a White House Office of Management and Budget post focused on intelligence and international affairs. Her exit affects those two jobs, while she is expected to remain on the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board and the Intelligence Oversight Board. In a May 8 email, Fox Kennedy framed the move around family and finances, saying she was returning to the private sector to keep her family on track and to have more time with her children. She also denied the claim that she was leaving because of disagreement with President Trump’s Iran policy. Her background in intelligence runs deeper than politics. She spent years as an undercover CIA officer before entering the policy world. The news made waves across political media as the reporting circulated: BREAKING: Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, a senior Trump intelligence official, daughter-in-law of RFK Jr and ally of DNI Tulsi Gabbard, to leave two of three key administration intel posts Friday, @ICIJorg & @washingtonpost report. https://t.co/AiSPPj0C50 by @icijorg — Sia At The Game (@rhpsia) May 20, 2026 Trending Politics added the Gabbard angle and Fox Kennedy’s continued advisory role: Tulsi Gabbard praised Fox Kennedy’s work and said she looks forward to continuing to work with her through President Trump’s Intelligence Advisory Board. That matters because the resignation removes Fox Kennedy from two operational posts while keeping her connected to the administration’s intelligence advisory structure. Fox Kennedy’s path is unusual: former CIA officer, RFK Jr campaign manager, Kennedy family member by marriage, and Trump administration intelligence official. That combination is why her departure drew immediate attention from political media and why the motive behind the exit became the center of the story. The key dispute is the motive. The anti-Trump frame suggested a foreign-policy rupture, but Fox Kennedy’s own public statement rejected that idea and emphasized loyalty to President Trump. That public denial changed the shape of the story: instead of an anonymous-media narrative driving the coverage, readers can see Fox Kennedy’s own words about why she stands with the President. The playbook from the legacy press here is predictable. A Trump official steps down, and the immediate instinct is to manufacture a narrative of internal dissent over foreign policy. Fox Kennedy shut that down in plain language before the ink was dry. She is leaving two posts but keeping two advisory roles and making clear she remains fully aligned with the President. That is a personnel transition, and the media’s attempt to spin it otherwise got swatted down in real time by the person they were writing about. Minneapolis Daycare Owner From Nick Shirley’s Viral Fraud Video Hit With New Federal Charges as President Trump’s Top Officials Descend on Minnesota

The Minneapolis daycare owner whose center appeared in Nick Shirley’s viral Minnesota fraud video now faces fresh federal charges, and President Trump’s top officials are in the Twin Cities to make sure everyone knows the crackdown is real. Fahima Egeh Mahamud, 50, the owner and CEO of Future Leaders Early Learning Center in Minneapolis, was charged on May 20 with wire fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States. Prosecutors allege she submitted roughly 13,000 false claims to Minnesota’s Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) between 2022 and 2025, pocketing approximately $4.6 million in taxpayer money. The charges come on top of earlier federal charges already filed against Mahamud this year in the sprawling Feeding Our Future child nutrition fraud case. A Minneapolis daycare owner, Fahima Egeh Mahamud, 50, CEO of Future Leaders Early Learning Center, was charged on May 20 with conspiracy to defraud the United States. She allegedly submitted more than 13,000 false claims to Minnesota’s Child Care Assistance Program between 2022… pic.twitter.com/8W6T4o0SnH — The Epoch Times (@EpochTimes) May 21, 2026 Fox News reported that the new charges allege a secondary CCAP scheme involving more than 13,000 fraudulent claims totaling about $4.6 million, and that the Trump administration responded to Shirley’s viral video by freezing roughly $185 million in Minnesota childcare funding and escalating federal enforcement attention in the Twin Cities. Mahamud is identified as the owner of the Minneapolis daycare that appeared in Nick Shirley’s December video on alleged daycare fraud, and the new federal charge adds a separate CCAP reimbursement allegation on top of her earlier Feeding Our Future case. The allegation is not that a paperwork footnote was missed, but that mandatory family co-payments were certified as collected when prosecutors say they were not. The alleged CCAP scheme runs from October 2022 through December 2025 and totals approximately $4.6 million across more than 13,000 claims. The same national account also tied Shirley’s video to a broader Trump administration response, including roughly $185 million in frozen Minnesota childcare funding and increased federal enforcement attention in the Twin Cities. Fox News also reported that Mahamud had already been indicted in connection with the larger $250 million Feeding Our Future scandal before this new daycare-assistance case was filed. Future Leaders Early Learning is the Minneapolis center where prosecutors say meal-service claims and childcare-assistance paperwork became separate streams of alleged taxpayer fraud, while Shirley’s original video showed apparently empty Minnesota daycare centers and helped force the issue into national view. The alleged fraud was not limited to childcare subsidies. FOX 9 reported that Mahamud enrolled her daycare into the federal child nutrition program through Feeding Our Future while falsely claiming to serve thousands of meals, and that the center allegedly pocketed more than $850,000 from that program on top of the $4.6 million CCAP haul. Mahamud is described as the CEO of Future Leaders Early Learning near George Floyd Square, a daycare prosecutors say was enrolled in the federal child nutrition program through Feeding Our Future while claiming thousands of meals had been served. The same local account says investigators allege false Child Care Assistance Program paperwork was submitted at the same time. The dollar figures stack up quickly: more than $4.6 million allegedly came through CCAP, while an additional $850,000-plus was tied to the federal nutrition program. State records cited in the local coverage also showed Future Leaders Early Learning Center closed in January after earlier state checks and mounting fraud scrutiny. FOX 9 added that the state had performed checks on the daycare centers shown in Shirley’s video and that Future Leaders received a November 2025 inspection before its closure. The local report also noted that federal prosecutors brought new charges against other defendants in related Minnesota benefit-fraud lanes, including another daycare owner and two men accused in a housing-stabilization fraud case. Combined, the alleged fraud tied to this single daycare totals more than $5.4 million in taxpayer money. And the timing of these charges is no coincidence. Just one day after Mahamud was charged, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, and Minnesota U.S. Attorney Daniel Rosen were all in Minneapolis for a major fraud-enforcement announcement. That is not a routine press conference lineup. That is the Trump administration putting Minnesota’s fraud epidemic on the national stage. Fahima Egeh Mahamud, the owner of Future Leaders Early Learning Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, was charged Wednesday with wire fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States.https://t.co/90PHBjrSi2 — American Greatness (@theamgreatness) May 21, 2026 The Justice Department has been building this enforcement infrastructure for months. In April 30 remarks from The Justice Department, officials said the National Fraud Enforcement Division is part of President Trump and Vice President Vance’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, and that federal partners had already executed more than 20 search warrants in Minnesota fraud investigations that week alone. The National Fraud Enforcement Division was described as part of a larger taxpayer-fraud push under President Trump and Vice President Vance’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud. Federal officials said that in one recent week alone, law enforcement partners executed more than 20 search warrants in Minnesota fraud investigations while pursuing other taxpayer-fraud cases around the country. The same remarks framed the expanded division as a more aggressive prosecutorial tool for fraud against federal programs, including health-care and government-benefit schemes. That context matters here because the Mahamud case sits inside the same Minnesota benefit-fraud lane that federal officials have been putting under a national spotlight. DOJ’s April remarks also emphasized coordination with federal law-enforcement partners, including the FBI and HHS-OIG, and presented the division as a national answer to fraud against American taxpayers. Minnesota was not treated as an afterthought in that speech; it was named directly as a place where federal partners were already executing warrants in fraud investigations. Critics mocked Nick Shirley’s video. They called the fraud concerns overblown. They accused the Trump administration of targeting Minnesota for political reasons. Now there are federal charges, search warrants, and the acting Attorney General standing in Minneapolis. Every dollar allegedly stolen from these programs was a dollar taken from children and families who were supposed to be served. President Trump’s fraud crackdown is making sure those responsible face consequences, and the charges are only accelerating.
