You know that thing Democrats say never happens? Well, it happened again. For, like, the hundredth time… Two Democrat council members in Michigan have just been charged with election fraud for forging mail-in ballots during a local 2023 election. They are now being charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors for forging ballots. Detroit Free Press reported: Councilmen Mohammed Kamrul Hassan, 57, and Muhtasin Rahman Sadman, 26, each face several felony and misdemeanor charges for alleged criminal activity from July 7, 2023, to Nov. 7, 2023, a time period that includes both the August primary and November general elections in Hamtramck, in which Hassan and Sadman were running. The charges don’t specify which of the two elections the alleged fraud involves. The charges were filed Friday, Aug. 8, in 31st District Court in Hamtramck by Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Yorkey, who was assigned to the case after Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel recused herself over perceptions of bias against Muslims. Yorkey said Monday, Aug. 11, in a statement to the Free Press that the charges came after “an exhaustive review of law enforcements findings.” Yorkey said that “Sadman forged an absentee ballot application with the intent to defraud and aided or counseled two unqualified electors to vote in the 2023 election” and that Hassan “forged an absentee ballot application with the intent to defraud in the 2023 election for City Council.” It’s unclear who the two voters involved in Sadman’s case are. Four other council members have also been implicated in the conspiracy. These charges are part of a larger investigation that has been going on since April. CBS News has more: In April, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office began an investigation into four current council members and a former council member for a “conspiracy to unlawfully obtain access to absentee ballots with the intent to illegally vote the ballots.” State prosecutors say that six people allegedly worked together during the 2023 election to receive blank absentee ballots that had been signed by naturalized citizens. Those six people would allegedly then fill in the candidates they wanted. Nessel’s office requested a special prosecutor to investigate the allegations. On Monday, Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffery Yorkey, who was named the special prosecutor, charged city councilmember Mohammed Hassan, 57, with election law forgery, two counts of unqualified elector attempting to vote, forging a signature on an absentee ballot application and providing a false statement in an application for an absentee ballot. Fellow councilmember Muhtasin Sadman, 26, is charged with election law forgery, forging a signature on an absentee ballot application and providing a false statement in an application for an absentee ballot. Some tragic news has occurred in Kit Carson County, Colorado. The daughter of a police chief has died after being attacked by a police K-9 at her home. The police K-9 named Draco attacked the girl at her home, but authorities are still investigating what led to the trained Draco viciously attacking the young girl. DNYUZ has more details to report on the deadly dog attack: A police chief’s 3-year-old daughter has died after she was attacked by a law enforcement K-9 named Draco at the family’s home, authorities in Colorado said. The child was found unresponsive in the yard of the house, the Kit Carson County Sheriff’s Office said. Officials haven’t said what may have led up to the attack and said the incident is still under investigation. The girl, who has not been publicly identified, is the daughter of Burlington Police Chief Nathan Hill, who was not home at the time of the attack, authorities have confirmed. “We our deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred within the city limits of Burlington, CO. Our hearts go out to Chief Nate Hill, his wife and family for the loss of their little girl, who was victim of a dog attack,” Burlington Police Department said. While the dog was a non-active K-9, Hill was “housing the dog at his residence” at the time. Burlington does not currently have a K-9 program. Yeah, it happened around 9:30 Monday morning at the home It is unclear how long Draco had been inactive, but a Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post shows the dog was used as recently as June 19 in a traffic stop to detect controlled substances. K-9 Draco was introduced to the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office in 2023, and would be approximately three years old now. Beldon said that the department has struggled to keep a handler for the dog, which is why the dog’s active status has been off and on recently.

Circuit overturned a lower court’s order that blocked the Trump administration from cutting roughly $2 billion in foreign aid payments. A district court took their side and ordered the Trump administration to continue making payments. But, that ruling has just been overruled! No longer will your tax dollars be shipped overseas to fund these ‘organizations.’ Here’s what you should know about the ruling: A divided U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit issued a 2–1 ruling in favor of the Trump administration, granting authority to freeze, cut, or terminate billions in foreign aid previously approved by Congress. The decision overturns a lower court injunction that had required the administration to continue disbursing aid and pay out nearly $2 billion to international programs. The plaintiffs—nonprofit groups such as the AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition and Journalism Development Network—were found to lack legal standing to challenge the executive action under the Impoundment Control Act; only the U.S. Comptroller General can challenge such impoundment of funds. Judge Florence Pan dissented, warning that the ruling could weaken judicial oversight of executive power and upset the constitutional checks and balances. The case will now return to district court, factoring in the appeals court’s guidance and the limitations on who may legally challenge impoundment decisions. The ruling aligns with Trump’s broader push starting with an executive order on his second inauguration day to freeze most U.S. foreign aid, including USAID and State Department programs, which had prompted multiple legal challenges over promised or pending aid. President Trump was asked today during an event whether or not he has talked to Congress about extending his 30-day federalizing of the DC Police force. The question assumed the President had no alternative path forward without relying on the good intentions of Congress. That was the reporter’s first mistake. The second mistake was failing to recognize that she was talking to a man who has been forced to become very familiar with the legal aspects of Executive Authority. If you throw someone into a tough scenario enough times, they’ll eventually either sink — or learn to swim. Never one to give up, President Trump pretty much knows what he’s talking about when it comes to the true legal boundaries of the Office of the President. More than anything, President Trump emphasized in his answer that a crime bill was what really needed to happen in order to expand on the moves he’s made over the last few days cleaning up the nation’s Capital city. But he did answer the reporter’s direct question about whether Congress would be extending his 30-day takeover of the DC Police. In essence, here’s my attempt to sum up his two-part answer: “…we can do it without Congress.” “We’re going to need a crime bill.” While the President’s allusion to a needed crime bill is probably the bigger story here, the assertion that he can somehow get around the 30-day limit on federalizing the DC Police force is definitely the headline grabber. That’s the thing that will make liberal heads explode, and cause conservatives to laugh knowing that the exploding-head liberals don’t have a clue how much authority the President actually has. It didn’t.  And he did.  And that additional comment shows just how quickly President Trump is planning to spin heads with his NATIONWIDE clean-up effort. First DC, then the larger cities with similar problems, just as he’s said. While the President mentioned his expectation that Republicans in Congress would likely support his anti-crime agenda and give him what he’s asking for… He also didn’t mince words when it came to the possibility of using the National Emergencies Act to simply go over Congress’ head. The rush to capture the public’s view on what is happening in Washington DC has occupied an increasing amount of the news bandwidth since the President announced he would field the DC National Guard and federalize the DC Police force. Much of the media has fixated on the opposing views that “everything was okay and getting better, bruh” vs. the daily reports of horrendous crimes on the streets of our nation’s Capital. (Obviously, I’ve made up my mind who is ‘full of it’ on this one.) But the emphasis from the left-leaning media has been so overreaching, calling President Trump dictatorial and tyrannical for trying to FIX A REAL PROBLEM… Almost no one is reporting the full story about what he’s spearheading in the Capital! That new flag pole in front of the White House… That beautiful new renovation in the WH Rose Garden… The new WH ballroom that he is financing — though you wouldn’t know he is from the mainstream reporting… Those are all in the same vein as what he has outlined for DC. Check out this other clip explaining what else he has in mind for the Capital, since (as he says) the Democrats are “too afraid to do anything”: Like during his first 100 days, President Trump seems far too fixated moving the needle on things that matter most to let the unending arguments over competing OPTICS propped up by the media slow him down. “Optics” have always been the key ingredient of the Left’s political game, anyway. They matter — but not as much as POLICY and ACTION.  (That’s why President Trump is President again!) President Trump answered the question, and likely went further with his answer than the reporter expected, while fielding questions after a Kennedy Center event in DC earlier today. And yes, he DID ultimately answer the reporter’s question about extensions to the federalization in the affirmative — sort of. But he didn’t seem to be talking only about his DC actions, as reported by Fox News: President Donald Trump said he may declare a national emergency to maintain control of Washington, D.C.’s police force if Congress doesn’t work with him to extend the current federalization plan. Trump made the statement during a press conference at the Kennedy Center in Washington, arguing he can maintain control over the Metropolitan Police Department indefinitely if he declares a national emergency. Under the current structure, the federal government took control over the MPD for a 30-day period on Monday. “Your federalization of the police has a 30-day limit unless Congress acts to extend it. Are you talking to Congress about extending it, or do you believe 30 days is sufficient?” asked Daily Signal White House reporter Elizabeth Troutman Mitchell. “Well, if it’s a national emergency, we can do it without Congress. But we expect to be before Congress very quickly. And again, we think the Democrats will not do anything to stop crime, but we think the Republicans will do it almost unanimously. So we’re going to need a crime bill. That we’re going to be putting in, and it’s going to pertain initially to DC. We’re going to use it as a very positive example.” “You can’t have 30 days,” he said. “We’re going to do this very quickly, but we’re going to want extensions. I don’t want to call a national emergency, but if I have to I will.” Trump announced his D.C. crime and homelessness crackdown last week, calling in the National Guard and federal law enforcement in addition to federalizing the MPD. (Emphasis Added.) I want to point out that he’s not backing away from taking his anti-crime agenda nationwide just because the Democrats are throwing up contrived roadblocks. Check out this article which quotes the President’s answer in context so that you can tell he’s not just looking to extend things out beyond 30 days in DC. He actually says that he’s going to be “asking for an extension on that” — presumably meaning the crime bill that will ultimately spread his anti-crime agenda from DC to “elsewhere”, as reported by  The Hill: President Trump on Wednesday said he’ll seek “long-term extensions” from Congress to extend his federal takeover of the Washington police amid his crackdown on crime in the nation’s capital, declining to rule out the possibility of a national emergency. Trump on Monday put the Metropolitan Police Department under federal control and activated National Guard troops, painting the district as being ravaged by violent crime. To do so, he invoked an emergency provision of the Home Rule Act, which lets the president take temporary control of the District’s police in emergency conditions. Congress must pass a joint resolution to extend it beyond 30 days. Speaking to reporters at the Kennedy Center on Wednesday, Trump said he’s aiming to go before Congress with a crime bill that will “pertain initially to D.C.” but serve as a “very positive example” for elsewhere. “And we’re going to be asking for an extension on that, long-term extensions, because you can’t have 30 days. Thirty days is, that’s, by the time you do it — we’re going to have this in good shape. … We’re going to do this very quickly, but we’re going to want extensions,” Trump said. “I don’t want to call a national emergency. If I have to, I will. But I think the Republicans in Congress will approve this pretty much unanimously.” (Emphasis Added.) While there are those who are pushing back against the possibility of the President invoking the National Emergencies Act in order to expand his anti-crime Agenda across crime-infested cities… I’m all for it! Congress attempted (passed a law!) once upon a time that would have given them a simple majority veto power over Presidential actions taken by means of the National Emergency Act. Thankfully, SCOTUS struck down that legislation and ruled that Congressional “veto” power over Presidential Powers was unconstitutional!  (Something that I’m fairly certain President Trump knows full well, and Congress might have to learn the hard way… FAFO.) We have had such an enormous influx of BAD AGENDAS for 4 years straight (and some leftover from Obama's 8 years!) that the disqualified DEI HIRES in areas of law enforcement have created TERRIBLE scenarios across the nation. Not just in DC. This is a systemic problem created over years of pushing DEI prerogatives in police districts across the nation. And it is going to take a SYSTEMIC push across the nation... to rectify the crime problems that have been allowed to exist because DEI prerogatives have become MORE IMPORTANT THAN SKILL OR MERIT. While I understand President Trump isn't eager to invoke the National Emergencies Act and SIDELINE Congress on this issue... He's not going to be President forever. Even that much-lauded potential "third term"... isn't FOREVER. We need real change, systemically, across the board.  And we need to make headway every single day of his Administration to "Make America Great Again" to the point that it's HARD to make it LESS great, again. I'm glad President Trump isn't the sort of guy who is chomping at the bit to exercise his authority as President just for the sake of flaunting it. But I'm also glad he's the sort of President who will flip that switch, if need be.

Okay, this is complete lunacy, and a testament of how much the U.K. has fallen. British Foreign Minister David Lammy may be fined after fishing with Vice President JD Vance in Britain last week. Lammy and Vance fished in the English countryside, but Lammy may now be fined after he went fishing without a license. CNN provided more details on the bizarre story: Last week, British foreign minister David Lammy went fishing with US Vice President JD Vance at his retreat in the English countryside. Now, he could be fined for doing so. Lammy on Wednesday referred himself to the UK’s environment watchdog for fishing without a rod license – an offense in Britain that could land him with a fine of £2,500 ($3,400). “The foreign secretary has written to the Environment Agency over an administrative oversight that meant the appropriate licenses had not been acquired for fishing on a private lake as part of a diplomatic engagement at Chevening House last week,” a Foreign Office spokesperson said. “As soon as the foreign secretary was made aware of the administrative error, he successfully purchased the relevant rod fishing licenses,” the spokesperson added. “He also wrote to the Environment Agency notifying them of the error, demonstrating how it would be rectified, and thanking them for their work protecting Britain’s fisheries.” Lammy recently hosted Vance at Chevening House, his grace-and-favor retreat in the southern county of Kent, known as the Garden of England. After his diplomatic engagements, the vice president has stayed in the country for a family vacation. Although Vance has been critical of the British government for what he claims is its heavy-handed approach to free speech, he and Lammy held a chummy press conference after their illegal fishing trip. It would seem an unlikely friendship on the face of it. One grew up in north London, the other in rust-belt Ohio. One is a left-wing advocate of multi-culturalism, the other a conservative who has, albeit jokingly, referred to the UK as “the first truly Islamist country” with a nuclear bomb. Yet, despite their differences Lammy and Vance appear to be the best of friends. As he settled in for a brief chat with the media in the drawing room at Chevening alongside the foreign secretary, Vance spoke warmly of their relationship. “I have to say that I really have become a good friend, and David has become a good friend of mine,” he said. “Our families enjoy each other’s company very much, which always helps.” Chevening is set in 3,000 acres of land, including a maze and lake, which was the first destination for the two families on Friday morning, for a spot of fishing. Vance joked this activity put “a strain on the special relationship” with his children all catching carp, while the foreign secretary came away empty-handed. Lammy didn’t seem bitter, telling the vice president he was “delighted” to welcome him and his family to 115-room Chevening, which he described as “my home”. Vance acknowledged the two men come from “different political spectrums” but said Lammy had been “kind enough to make time on a visit to [Washington] DC, we got to know each other a little bit then”. Since that first meeting, when Lammy was in opposition and Vance had just been elected to the US Senate, they have met regularly including at the new Pope’s inauguration in May. Last week, Lammy told the Guardian he, Vance and Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner bonded over drinks in the Villa Taverna, the US ambassador’s residence in Rome. “I had this great sense that JD completely relates to me and he completely relates to Angela. So it was a wonderful hour and a half,” he said. “I was probably the shyest of the three.” He said that, like Vance, Rayner and himself were “not just working-class politicians, but people with dysfunctional childhoods”. Lammy’s parents split up during his teens. His father went to the US and Lammy never saw him again. Vance told the story of his own upbringing – including an absent father and a mother with a drug addiction – in his bestselling memoir Hillbilly Elegy. Despite their trickier starts in life, both ended up at prestigious US colleges. Lammy studied at Harvard, where he met and befriended Barack Obama. Vance went to Harvard’s rival Yale – “not quite as good,” Lammy joked at Chevening. The two men have also bonded over their Christian faith. Vance converted to Catholicism as an adult and attended Mass with Lammy when he visited Washington DC earlier this year.

But how an “organic” and spur-of-the-moment protest erupts with participants quoting talking points almost verbatim whenever interviewed, many often waving professionally printed identical signage… Those must be the most prepared spur-of-the-moment events EVER! But the CEO of a company that specializes in providing PAID PROTESTERS says you’d be shocked how many big events are mostly populated with people on the payroll one way or another. Swart explained during the interview that they always see spikes in requests for paid protesters whenever big political moves are happening. But he specified that “a large share” of the requests Crowds On Demand is seeing are focused specifically on opposing President Trump, as reported by Fox News: A crowd rental company has seen a massive uptick in inquiries regarding its services in Washington, D.C., amid President Donald Trump’s move to federalize the police force in the nation’s capital. “Right now, D.C. inquiries are up roughly 400% compared to the same period in 2024,” Crowds on Demand CEO Adam Swart told Fox News Digital, adding that the time period he is referencing is May to July 2024. The company always sees a spike in requests during what Swart calls “high-stakes political moments.” “A large share are focused on opposing Trump’s policies in Washington and raising alarms about government overreach,” Swart said. “We’re weighing those offers carefully – because while there’s truth in saying D.C.’s local government has been an abject failure in keeping citizens safe, there’s also a real danger in putting too much power in federal hands. From a purely Constitutional standpoint, I can’t say that what Crowds on Demand is doing is “wrong”. At least not Constitutionally — though I have some questions about the morality of it all. Oddly enough, Adam Swart gave another interview just a few weeks ago talking about the “integrity” he tries to exercise in what he called “the business of persuasion”. That interview with News Nation highlighted his claim that he TURNED DOWN an enormous offer to provide crowds to take part in anti-Trump protests related to the anniversary of the death of US Rep. John Lewis. Here’s that intriguing clip: I might not agree with what Crowds On Demand is doing, but the two components truly doing harm in ways that SHOULD be illegal (if not already) have to do with ELECTED OFFICIALS and the MEDIA. At the very least it is ILLEGAL in more ways than one for either of those entities to knowingly spread lies to the American people. PRETENDING that there is more backlash against President Trump’s anti-crime policy than there really is! But those news media outlets KNOW better — they KNOW how this works! You can see the visible reaction of The Hill’s reporter to the oddity of the sudden appearance of the protest along with a much heavier police presence than usual: While the reporter focuses almost exclusively on the sudden appearance of the Police… He basically brushes off the sudden appearance of protesters as “normal” for DC. But — does ‘normal’ equate to ORGANIC?  Is the ‘normal’ amount of protests largely a product of paid actors? Have we reached a point within the realm of American politics where even those covering political protests simply ACCEPT that there are likely inorganic PAID elements driving most of these situations — and that’s just ‘normal’ now? Just like during the last four years with one side claiming the sitting President was cognitively impaired, and the other side claiming “nu-uh” and yelling “conspiracy theory!”. Both those competing narratives couldn’t be true at the same time. We now know the truth. In exactly the same way, one side is now saying “Crime is DOWN” and “Trump is a dictator!”, while the other side is praising President Trump for FINALLY doing something about the ridiculous crime in the nation’s capital city. One of those is true — but only one. And apparently, the other side often PAYS people to publicize their narrative. Who is likely telling the truth? My money is on the side that ISN’T paying for support… and is actually doing something about the chaos — not trying to stir up more of it.
