Leftist Network With Foreign Ties Tries To Kill Bill Protecting Farmers From ESG Agenda

A left-wing organization is pumping money into an effort to kill legislation that would prevent banks from denying loans to farmers based on political considerations. The organization, The Daily Wire has learned, has ties to a deeper network of far-left groups, including one that appears to be flush with foreign money. Unlocking America’s Future is running ads on Facebook targeting North Carolina and opposing legislation that would prevent banks from denying loans to farmers based on controversial environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics. The group has spent just shy of $30,000 on Facebook ads from early July to early August. The legislation, its Republican sponsors say, would prevent farmers from being compelled to go along with a political agenda and ensure that lending remains “based upon whether they have good credit or not but not based upon their ESG score.” But Unlocking America’s future is just a trade name used by an organization set up by established left-wing organizations to bolster Biden in the 2020 election. Unlocking America’s Future, according to a non-profit database and the Washington, D.C., corporate registry, is a trade name used by Climate Power. This left-wing organization was created in the lead-up to the 2020 election as a joint project of the Sierra Club, the American Progress Action Fund, and the League of Conservation Voters. The group came on the scene with $80 million ready to deploy in an effort to boost then-candidate Joe Biden. Under the name “Unlocking America’s Future,” the organization has launched an ad campaign opposing the Farmers Protection Act, targeting Raleigh and other areas with paid ads calling on several state representatives and Governor Josh Stein to reject the proposal. “Billionaires want to force banks to ignore financial risks, putting North Carolina’s economic future at risk,” read the paid Facebook ads, which began in late May and have continued into August. “Stand up for North Carolina’s economic future by focusing on responsible investing, lowering costs, and creating jobs.” While the ads grandstand against “billionaires” attempting to exert influence on North Carolina’s politics, the organization has ties to a network of left-wing activist groups tied to a Swiss billionaire. Climate Power is a project of the Fund for a Better Future, which has been scrutinized as a vehicle that’s allowed foreign money to flood into American politics through issue-advocacy groups, allowing foreigners to exert influence on America’s politics despite a prohibition on foreign donors directly bankrolling candidates for public office. Swiss billionaire and prominent left-wing donor Hansjörg Wyss was a major backer of the Fund for a Better Future, the Associated Press reported as Climate Power sought to boost Biden’s legislative agenda and support Democratic congressional candidates. End of Summer Sale – Get 40% off New DailyWire+ Annual Memberships Climate Power has also pushed the diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda, at least internally, according to organization documentation. The organization’s 2023 registration form reveals that the group employed racially discriminatory practices when selecting board members. “The makeup of the board shall be reflective of the diversity of the progress movement and the corporation staff,” the document reads. “The board should not be less than approximately 40% Board members who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color and 51% of Board members who identify as women.” “The corporation shall use best efforts to ensure that the diversity of the Board is no lesser than the diversity of staff.” it goes on to add. Climate Power did not respond to a request for comment.

What You Need To Know Ahead Of Trump And Putin’s Alaska Meeting

President Donald Trump is set to meet face-to-face with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday, a high-stakes summit that could mark the first step toward bringing the war in Ukraine to an end.  Here’s what you need to know ahead of the most consequential meeting between an American and Russian leader in years. The Why Trump has been clear since retaking office in January that he wants the over 3-year-long war — which is believed to have claimed over 1.4 million lives — to come to an end. The meeting is an effort to make progress after months of unproductive phone calls, missed deadlines, and numerous calls for action. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says the meeting is a way for Trump to see Putin face-to-face and assess whether he is serious. “The president feels like, ‘Look, I’ve got to look at this guy across the table. I need to see him face-to-face. I need to hear him one-on-one. I need to make an assessment by looking at him,’” Rubio said in a Tuesday morning interview.  VANCE TO TROOPS IN UK: MAKE IT OUR MISSION TO BRING PEACE TO EUROPE Trump has faced criticism for meeting with Putin before the Russian leader made any concessions to end the war. Still, Rubio defended the move, pointing to Trump’s history as a dealmaker. “A meeting is what you do to kind of figure out and make your decision,” he said. “So honestly, I think we’re going to know very early in that meeting whether this thing has any chance of success or not.” The Plan The talks will kick off on Friday at 3:30 PM EST (11:30 AM local time) at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, a U.S. military installation located in the northern part of Anchorage, Alaska. They will reportedly begin with a one-on-one meeting between Trump and Putin, accompanied only by their interpreters. The length of the conversation will depend on the two leaders, according to Yuri Ushakov, Putin’s foreign policy aide. Following the private session, the leaders will continue discussions over a working lunch where their delegations will be present. Then, the talks are expected to conclude with a joint press conference. “So tomorrow, bright and early, he will be departing the White House for our joint military base in Anchorage, Alaska, where he will engage in a one-on-one meeting with President Putin, which will be followed by a bilateral lunch with the respective delegations from both countries, and then a press conference,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Thursday morning. The Russian delegation will include Putin, Ushakov, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, and the CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev.  EXCLUSIVE: NEW EVIDENCE CALLS INTO QUESTION VIRAL STORY OF GAZAN BOY ‘AMIR’ KILLED AT GHF AID SITE The American delegation will also consist of five members, though the White House has not yet released an official list of names. No documents are expected to be signed during the meeting, according to the Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. On Saturday, the Russian government issued a statement praising the location of the meeting. “Russia and the United States are close neighbours, they share borders. So it does make sense if our delegation simply crosses the Bering Strait and if such an important and expected meeting between the two leaders takes place specifically in Alaska,” the statement reads.  The statement added that the next meeting should take place in Russia. “An invitation to that effect has already been made to the President of the United States,” the statement adds. The Goals On Fox Radio’s Brian Kilmeade Show Thursday morning, Trump said he believes Putin will make a deal. “He’s going to make a deal. I think he’s going to. And we’re going to find out — I’m going to know very quickly,” Trump said.  On Thursday, Putin said that the Trump administration “is making, in my opinion, quite energetic and sincere efforts to stop the fighting, stop the crisis and reach agreements that are of interest to all parties involved in the conflict,” reported NBC News. Trump has faced criticism for not including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy or other European leaders in the upcoming meeting, though he’s made it clear that he hopes the talks will lay the groundwork for a second meeting with Zelenskyy at the table. End of Summer Sale – Get 40% off New DailyWire+ Annual Memberships If the talks go poorly, Trump said he’s going home and “not calling anybody.” But if they go well, he said he’s going to “call President Zelenskyy and the European leaders.” Zelenskyy has not met with Putin since the war began. Vice President JD Vance said on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures” that the United States is working to schedule a meeting that includes Zelenskyy, but does not believe it should happen until after Trump meets with Putin. NETANYAHU CONFIRMS ISRAEL’S PLANS TO FULLY TAKE CONTROL OF GAZA “One of the most important logjams is that Vladimir Putin said that he would never sit down with Zelenskyy, the head of Ukraine, and the president has now got that to change,” Vance said. Zelenskyy flew to London on Thursday to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer over the possible outcomes of Trump and Putin’s talks. A spokesperson in Starmer’s office said that the Trump-Putin talks “present a viable chance to make progress as long as Putin takes action to prove he is serious about peace.” Trump assesses that there is a 25% chance of the talks failing, adding that negotiating the end of the war is “like chess.” If talks do fail, Trump says he is open to adding additional sanctions on Russia. “There will be consequences,” Trump said to reporters on Wednesday. “I don’t have to say. There will be very severe consequences.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for more sanctions and pressure to be exerted on Russia in a video posted to X on Sunday. “Everyone sees that there has been no real step from Russia toward peace, no action on the ground or in the air that could save lives,” he said. “That is why sanctions are needed, pressure is needed. Strength is needed — of the United States, of Europe, of all nations in the world that want peace and stability in international relations. If Russia does not want to stop the war, then its economy must be stopped.” Dmitriev told CNN on Thursday that the talks are “a chance to sort of reset, if the meeting goes well, US-Russia relations.” While the primary focus of the talks will be ending the war in Ukraine, discussions over economic cooperation between the two countries are also likely. However, President Trump declined to confirm any specifics during his interview on The Brian Kilmeade Show. “Well, I’d rather not say because I don’t want to play my hand in public, but whatever my hand is, economic incentives — and disincentives maybe — are more important, in a way, but incentives economically, you know,” he said. Putin, who has failed to take decisive steps to end the war quickly, appears eager to shed Russia’s pariah status and regain access to the Western financial system after years of sanctions and diplomatic isolation. Putin, who has been in power for more than 25 years as either prime minister or president, has met with American presidents 48 times — including six times with Trump during the latter’s first term. This will be their first in-person meeting of Trump’s second term, though the two leaders have had several phone calls.

NYC’s Whiny Brats Pick A Mayor

According to polls, the increased amount of support for New York Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani is coming from people under the age of 35.  Mamdani has never held a real job in his entire life. If you were looking for the definition of a career useless person, this would be the guy.  You might say to yourself: How does a person with effectively no résumé, who worked for his mommy and was a rapper, wind up as the Democratic nominee in New York City? But to misunderstand that is to misunderstand everything about Gen Z. I’m not a politician, so I don’t have to pretend that the concerns of Gen Z are legitimate. I understand that if you’re a politician, then you have to placate people when they emotionally explain to you why their life is so difficult. Sometimes people do have difficult lives with real challenges in the world. But when I hear from Gen Z that the American dream is dead to them, all I can think of is this: You have got to be kidding me. I’ve read many pieces over the last couple of years now that Gen Z has it tougher than any generation in modern history. I thought to myself, “I’m going to vomit.” How many serious wars have they had to live through? Zero. Zero serious terrorist attacks. They have lived in the most prosperous time in human history and the healthiest time in human history. But because their rent is too high in New York City, while they concomitantly hold some sort of nonprofit jobs, they whine. I don’t mean everyone in Gen Z complains without reason — there are many people who are suffering, who have a disease, who have health problems, who have been dealt a rough hand by life. Those are not the people I’m talking about. The generational complaint that somehow Gen Z has it worse than the millennials or Gen X or the boomers, or the Greatest Generation, ignores literally all of American history, all of it. But if you’re a politician, you can make bank by pretending that these people have legitimate concerns and they’re not just being ungrateful and bratty. For these folks, Mamdani is an avatar. WATCH: The Ben Shapiro Show He has no resume. He grew up absolutely loaded with wealth, and currently is taking advantage of a rent-controlled apartment in New York City. He is currently living in a rent-stabilized apartment where the rent is $2,500 a month. The market rate would be $8,000 per month. He earns $147,000 a year and is campaigning on housing affordability in New York City. You might think to yourself, “That’s crazy. How are all of these socialists in New York City supporting somebody who’s so clearly a hypocrite?” But that misses the point: So many folks in America look to their politicians as aspirational figures. I think a lot of people who love President Trump view him as an aspirational figure, somebody who’s very wealthy and very powerful, somebody who’s made more of himself than otherwise he might have had at the beginning. Yes, he grew up rich, but he made himself into a brand name available all across the world for literally decades, and then became President of the United States twice. It’s an aspirational thing. But what if the Gen Z aspiration is to be a career loser who lives off of their parents’ income until they get some sort of cush government job living in a rent-stabilized apartment? What if that is the actual aspiration? What if people look up to Zohran Mamdani not in spite of the fact that he is a loser, but because he is a loser? A lot of New Yorkers now have jobs and backgrounds very similar to Mamdani’s. And this is the central point.  Armin Rosen noted in Tablet Magazine: New York is thought of as the sink-or-swim epicenter of American capitalism, but that’s not true anymore. The city is home to more than 600,000 jobs in the nonprofit sector and a roughly equal number of jobs in government. Nonprofits now employ nearly 17 percent of the city’s total private-sector workforce, compared to 10 percent nationally. Wage growth in the nonprofit sector healthily outpaced the rest of the private sector statewide in New York between 2017 and 2022, 29.3 to 25.3 percent. Wage growth in New York City is healthy because it’s all done off of government grants. All of those nonprofits are not independently raising their money. They’re getting money from the government. Thus, they’re effectively second-order government employees. When you look at the stats in New York, you understand just why Mamdani is so successful. You have well over 50% of the population that is working for some sort of government-orchestrated, government-organized, or government-funded segment of the economy. In other words, the people who are getting money from the government are not the people who are paying for the government. They’re all Zohran Mamdani types. They’re living off the largesse of government. Meanwhile, all of the rent across New York City has been rent-stabilized. 50% of all of the units across New York City have been rent-stabilized. One million units have been rent-stabilized, which means that there’s an artificially low supply of new construction in New York City. That means the prices go up.  Mamdani is complaining about “affordability.” It should be pointed out that it’s all left-wing policies that made things unaffordable. Additionally, of the people who are in New York City trying to afford those rent-controlled, rent-stabilized apartments, a huge number of them are on the government dole, so they are earning from both ends. The government is stabilizing their rent, and at the same time, the government is likely subsidizing their salary. This is why I’m irritated when I hear from Gen Z about how tough things are in places like New York. We should point out that there has been this mindset that has settled in among the American population that you are supposed to die where you were born.  This is not a typically American idea. There are people on the Right who believe this. There are people on the Left who believe this. But it is not a traditional American idea. The traditional American idea, if you go back to the very beginning, was to cross an ocean with nothing to guarantee what was going to happen. People went into the wilderness, built a crappy house, and tried to start a business. And if that didn’t work, they would abandon that place and move further to the west, across mountain ranges, across rivers. That was the original American idea. Traditionally, when it was too expensive to live in a place, Americans went somewhere else. But Americans are not doing that anymore. Instead, the reason so many New Yorkers seem warm on socialism is that many New Yorkers are already living a form of socialism. They are living the Zohran Mamdani lifestyle, where they are being supported by the government in a wide variety of ways, ranging from the regulatory to the actual subsidy. So when they say things are so hard in New York City, and the answer is more redistribution from the people who are earning all of the income and paying all the taxes, the answer should be NO. At some point, there’s going to have to be a call for some level of responsibility on the part of young people. I grew up in a 1,100 square-foot house with one bathroom and shared a bedroom with my three sisters until I was eleven. I did have the ultimate privilege: a solid two-parent household. And you know what? It was a fine life. I’m grateful for that life. I’m telling this story because there is this dumb assumption that if you talk about mobility in America and the capacity of people to make smart decisions and to make the kinds of moves that will be necessary to achieve success, the immediate accusation is that it was only true for you, it’s not true for anybody else. But it’s not only true for me. It is true for a huge majority of Americans. If you make smart decisions in America, and if you stop whining for five seconds, and if you go out and make better decisions for yourself, you can make a better life for yourself. So many politicians make bank off this idea that America is dying, that the American dream is dying. Who does better because of that? Politicians. This is how they gain power, because every time they fail, they turn around and they say, “The system has failed. Give me more power.” This is how you end up with Zohran Mamdani or Bernie Sanders. It’s not going to work out for anyone who believes this garbage. It’s not going to work out for the city of New York. It’s not going to work out for the country. The only person who can make your life better in the end is you. You are the person who makes your life better, not Mamdani, not Bernie Sanders. Most Americans are not dreaming of a government job, making a decent salary, and living in a rent-stabilized apartment. That is not the American dream. It never was.

Soros-Backed DA DARES Trump—Lines Drawn

Philadelphia’s Soros-backed District Attorney has issued a defiant warning to President Trump, vowing to block any federal intervention in the city’s crime crisis—igniting outrage among conservatives demanding law and order. Krasner’s Threat to Federal Law and Order Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, a high-profile progressive and beneficiary of George Soros funding, has publicly warned President Donald Trump to “steer clear” of Philadelphia following Trump’s decisive federal intervention in Washington, D.C.’s law enforcement crisis. Krasner, emboldened by his recent Democratic primary win, accused Trump of undermining democracy and threatened fierce resistance to any federal action in Philadelphia. This confrontation has stoked conservative concerns that local officials are prioritizing political agendas over the rule of law and the safety of American citizens. Trump’s administration, now in its second term, has made restoring law and order in America’s cities a top priority, particularly in Democrat-run urban centers plagued by rising crime and progressive policies. The President’s move to assert federal authority in D.C.—where local governance has failed to curb spiraling violence—has drawn both praise from law-abiding citizens and fierce opposition from progressive politicians like Krasner. Conservatives point to this resistance as evidence of a growing disregard for the Constitution and for basic public safety, as leftist officials seek to shield failed policies from federal scrutiny. Progressive Policies Under Fire Amid Crime Surge Larry Krasner’s tenure as Philadelphia’s DA has been marked by radical criminal justice reforms, including drastic reductions in incarceration and the elimination of cash bail for nonviolent offenders. Critics blame these policies for emboldening criminals and fueling Philadelphia’s ongoing crime woes, especially in troubled neighborhoods like Kensington. Despite claims by Krasner that homicides have hit a 50-year low, many residents and law enforcement professionals dispute the effectiveness of his policies, pointing to persistent disorder and unsafe streets. The issue has become a national flashpoint, with Philadelphia’s DA race now serving as a referendum on the future of law enforcement in America’s cities. Conservative frustration is compounded by the fact that Krasner was the target of a failed impeachment attempt by Pennsylvania Republicans in 2022—a move blocked by a judge despite mounting public safety concerns. The city’s progressive leadership, backed by outside money, continues to resist accountability, even as critics warn that local autonomy cannot be used as a shield for policies that endanger families and erode constitutional protections. The DA’s open defiance of federal authority is now being watched closely by voters across the country who are alarmed by the spread of “woke” agendas and government overreach. Battle Lines: Local Control Versus Federal Responsibility The clash between Krasner and Trump highlights a deeper struggle over the limits of federal power and the responsibilities of local officials. While the Constitution grants cities a degree of autonomy, legal experts agree that the federal government has a duty to intervene when local policies jeopardize national security or the rights of citizens. Trump’s readiness to act decisively in D.C.—and his willingness to challenge progressive strongholds like Philadelphia—signals a renewed commitment to restoring order and upholding the rule of law. At the same time, progressive leaders are doubling down, accusing federal officials of “fascism” and stoking political division, rather than addressing the root causes of urban chaos. Within Philadelphia, the political landscape has become increasingly volatile. After losing the Democratic primary, former judge Patrick Dugan is now running as a Republican, intensifying the stakes in the upcoming DA election. The Democratic Party’s expulsion of Dugan for challenging Krasner further underscores the intraparty strife and the growing disconnect between city leadership and concerned citizens. For many conservatives, the events unfolding in Philadelphia are a stark warning of what happens when ideological agendas override common sense, constitutional values, and the safety of American families. Soros-linked DA warns Trump after DC crime crackdown: ‘Better not try it in Philly’ — JV (@joveg8) August 13, 2025 As the general election approaches, the nation is watching whether voters will demand accountability and a return to law and order, or whether progressive officials like Krasner will continue to block federal efforts to restore safety in America’s cities. The outcome will not only shape Philadelphia’s future, but could set a precedent for the entire country as the battle between local control and federal responsibility rages on—leaving the Constitution and core American values hanging in the balance. Dev Patel Encounters a Sinister Faerie in Creepy New Rabbit Trap Trailer

News rabbit trap Dev Patel Encounters a Sinister Faerie in Creepy New Rabbit Trap Trailer In Rabbit Trap, a Faerie takes an interest in Dev Patel and Rosy McEwen. By Vanessa Armstrong | Published on August 14, 2025 Photo courtesy of Magnet Releasing Comment 0 Share New Share Photo courtesy of Magnet Releasing If you let the faeries in, they will guide you, says the faerie child in the upcoming movie, Rabbit Trap. But where the faeries lead you, if the trailer released today is any indication, appears to be quite fucked up and hazardous for human life. The movie is the theatrical debut for writer-director Bryn Chainey and stars Dev Patel (The Green Knight), Rosy McEwen (The Alienist, Apartment 7A), and Jade Croot (The Witcher). Here’s the official synopsis: Darcy (Patel) and Daphne (McEwen) Davenport are freshly decamped from London and taking up residence in an isolated cottage deep in the Welsh countryside in search of creative renewal and acoustic inspiration. When the couple set about exploring their new environs, recording instruments in tow, Darcy stumbles upon a “faerie circle” that emits a strange, unidentifiable frequency; this odd discovery is followed closely by the appearance of an otherworldly child (Croot) who claims to live nearby and is eager to befriend the Davenports. Soon the child becomes a fixture in their household, alternately ingratiating himself and raising suspicions, and exposing unacknowledged rifts and unexamined secrets that threaten to wreak psychological and spiritual havoc in the lives of his makeshift adoptive parents.  “It’s a quiet miracle that this film exists: an earthy, sound-driven psychological thriller that takes its cues from Celtic folklore and bends genre expectations,” said Chainey in a statement. He later added that the film is an “attempt to reach out to those who may be plagued by trauma and its effects, or those who seek to understand it, and to say to them, with a cinematic experience that is often wordless: You are not alone.” Rabbit Trap premieres in theaters on September 12, 2025.
