Morgan Wallen Says He’s Still Riding The Momentum From “Whiskey Glasses” Back In 2019: “I Will Forever Be So Grateful For That Song”

Morgan Wallen Says He’s Still Riding The Momentum From “Whiskey Glasses” Back In 2019: “I Will Forever Be So Grateful For That Song”

In rare company. Today,  Morgan Wallen is the featured artist on Spotify’s “Billions Club” series, which serves as a way to highlight artists who have secured the exclusive accomplishment of having a song reach the billion streams mark. Since its inception last fall, only Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd and Miley Cyrus have been featured in the series. With this, Wallen will become the first country artist and fourth artist overall to be featured. He discussed his three songs which have over one billion streams on the platform, including “Whiskey Glasses,” “I Had Some Help” feat. Post Malone, and “Last Night.” Of course, “Whiskey Glasses” was Morgan’s first big mega hit, and it was written by Ben Burgess and Kevin Kadish. Morgan first included it on his 2016 EP The Way I Talk, and it was later released as the third single from his 2018 studio album, If I Know Me. It reached #1 on Billboard Country Airplay chart in 2019, and has since been certified 9× Platinum by the RIAA as of 2023. I think most people would point to the success of that single as the real launching point for Morgan’s career in terms of putting him at the forefront of mainstream country, and it’s clearly only been up from there. Morgan says he feels like he’s still carrying the momentum from that song in terms of how his career continues to explode to this day: “‘Whiskey Glasses’ was a song that came in early, early on in my career. We kinda always felt like that song was super catchy and super clever. Everything about it just stuck with you. The momentum from that song is what we’re still carrying with us today. I will forever be so grateful for that song and the response to it.” I think that’s a perfect assessment of it, and even if you despise Morgan and his music, I feel like it’s hard to say that song isn’t catchy as heck… In terms of “Last Night,” Morgan explained that he knew it was special from the time he recorded it in the studio: “‘Last Night’ is a song that’s changed the game for me. It elevated us to a whole other level the last couple years. It was one of those songs where, when we were recording it, we just knew. Just had a feeling that song was something special.” You also see Morgan try to figure out what to do with the three plaques, which he eventually detaches from the boards their on and screws them onto the 4 wheeler like hubcaps, though he admits he wants a fourth: “The only thing I will say is, I’ve only got three hubcaps, so next time you come back unannounced, maybe bring another one of those billions plaques. Because I need another hubcap. That would be cool.” The video is pretty short, only coming in at around four minutes, but you do get a peak into Morgan’s shop which I’m assuming is somewhere on his land, which also houses some of his other big awards and certifications on the shelves. They also put the location as “God’s Country,” which is pretty slick, Spotify. Grade A trolling: Morgan is gearing up for another massive tour in 2026, as his Still The Problem tour will head to stadiums all over the country starting in April. ‘Still The Problem’ Tour Dates April 10 || Minneapolis, Minn. || U.S. Bank Stadium w/ Thomas Rhett, Gavin Adcock, Vincent Mason April 11 || Minneapolis, Minn. || U.S. Bank Stadium w/ HARDY, Gavin Adcock, Vincent Mason April 18 || Tuscaloosa, Ala. || Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium w/ Ella Langley, Vincent Mason, Zach John King May 1 || Las Vegas, Nev. || Allegiant Stadium w/ Brooks & Dunn, Gavin Adcock, Vincent Mason May 2 || Las Vegas, Nev. || Allegiant Stadium w/ Thomas Rhett, Gavin Adcock, Vincent Mason May 8 || Indianapolis, Ind. || Lucas Oil Stadium w/ Brooks & Dunn, Hudson Westbrook, Zach John King May 9 || Indianapolis, Ind. || Lucas Oil Stadium w/ Ella Langley, Flatland Cavalry, Zach John King May 15 || Gainesville, Fla. || Ben Hill Griffin Stadium w/ Thomas Rhett, Gavin Adcock, Zach John King May 16 || Gainesville, Fla. || Ben Hill Griffin Stadium w/ Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, Zach John King May 29 || Denver, Colo. || Empower Field at Mile High w/ Brooks & Dunn, Gavin Adcock, Vincent Mason May 30 || Denver, Colo. || Empower Field at Mile High w/ Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, Vincent Mason June 5 || Pittsburgh, Penn. || Acrisure Stadium w/ Brooks & Dunn, Gavin Adcock, Zach John King June 6 || Pittsburgh, Penn. || Acrisure Stadium w/ Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, Zach John King June 19 || Chicago, Ill. || Soldier Field w/ Brooks & Dunn, Gavin Adcock, Zach John King June 20 || Chicago, Ill. || Soldier Field w/ Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, Zach John King June 26 || Clemson, SC. || Clemson Memorial Stadium w/ Brooks & Dunn, Gavin Adcock, Jason Scott & The High Heat June 27 || Clemson, SC. || Clemson Memorial Stadium w/ Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, Jason Scott & The High Heat July 17 || Baltimore, Md. || M&T Bank Stadium w/ Brooks & Dunn, Gavin Adcock, Jason Scott & The High Heat July 18 || Baltimore, Md. || M&T Bank Stadium w/ Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, Jason Scott & The High Heat July 24 || Ann Arbor, Mich. || Michigan Stadium w/ Thomas Rhett, Hudson Westbrook, Blake Whiten July 25 || Ann Arbor, Mich. || Michigan Stadium w/ HARDY, Hudson Westbrook, Blake Whiten July 31 || Philadelphia, Penn. || Lincoln Financial Field w/ Brooks & Dunn, Hudson Westbrook, Blake Whiten August 1 || Philadelphia, Penn. || Lincoln Financial Field w/ Ella Langley, Hudson Westbrook, Blake Whiten “Whiskey Glasses”  The post Morgan Wallen Says He’s Still Riding The Momentum From “Whiskey Glasses” Back In 2019: “I Will Forever Be So Grateful For That Song” first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

What Are Morgan Wallen’s Most-Streamed Songs?

What Are Morgan Wallen’s Most-Streamed Songs?

Getting some new hardware – and hubcaps for his four-wheeler. Morgan Wallen was recently honored by Spotify for his three entries into the “Billions Club,” songs that have been streamed over a billion times on the streaming platform. With “Whiskey Glasses,” “I Had Some Help” and “Last Night” all reaching over a billion streams, Morgan received three plaques for the honors – and in a hilarious episode of Billions Club: The Series, Wallen discussed the three mega-hits while also finding a creative use for his plaques: He turned them into hubcaps for his ATV, while noting that he needs another one since he only has three. Morgan is undeniably the biggest country artist in the world right now, and whether you like his music or not, there are a ton of people who do. “I Had Some Help” featuring Post Malone broke the record for the most streams in a single day for a country song, and when Morgan dropped his latest album I’m The Problem earlier this year, he claimed all of the top 10 spots on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, the first time that’s ever been done, while scoring 6 songs in the top 10 of the all-genre Hot 100. He’s a streaming machine. But that got me thinking, what ARE his most streamed songs? Obviously we know the three that are over a billion, but with his new album having been released 6 months ago, I figured now would be a good time to take a look at the rest of the list of Morgan’s biggest-streamed hits on Spotify. Of his three billions club songs, “Last Night” with 1.37 billion streams barely beat out “I Had Some Help” with 1.31 billion for his top streamed track, with “Whiskey Glasses” in third at 1.07 billion. His next track to get him a billions club plaque (and a fourth hubcap) will likely be “Wasted On You” from his Dangerous: The Double Album, which is sitting at 948 million streams right now, although it could also end up being “You Proof” from One Thing At A Time, which has 912 million. And “Chasin’ You” isn’t too far behind with 840 million streams. Though his most-streamed song is from his 2023 One Thing At A Time album, it shouldn’t be a big surprise that most of the top 20 most-streamed songs are from his 2021 Dangerous: The Double Album, with a handful also from his 2018 debut album If I Know Me, since those have been around longer to rack up streams. The one thing that is clear from the list is that Morgan is a streaming giant, and there’s no doubt that he’ll be getting that fourth Billions Club plaque sooner rather than later. Here are Morgan’s top 20 most-streamed songs on Spotify: “Last Night” – One Thing At A Time – 1.37 billion “I Had Some Help” (Post Malone ft. Morgan Wallen) – F-1 Trillion (Post Malone album) – 1.31 billion “Whiskey Glasses” – Dangerous: The Double Album – 1.07 billion “Wasted On You” – Dangerous: The Double Album – 948 million “You Proof” – One Thing At A Time – 912 million “Chasin’ You’ – If I Know Me – 840 million “Heartless” (Diplo ft. Morgan Wallen) – Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley Chapter 1: Snake Oil (Diplo album) – 749 million “Thinkin’ Bout Me” – One Thing At A Time – 715 million “More Than My Hometown” – Dangerous: The Double Album – 687 million “Cowgirls” (ft. Ernest) – One Thing At A Time – 683 million “7 Summers” – Dangerous: The Double Album – 633 million “Cover Me Up” – Dangerous: The Double Album – 589 million “Broadway Girls” (Lil Durk ft. Morgan Wallen) – 516 million “Thought You Should Know” – One Thing At A Time – 490 million “Sand In My Boots” – Dangerous: The Double Album – 486 million “Up Down” (ft. Florida Georgia Line) – If I Know Me – 431 million “The Way I Talk” – If I Know Me – 413 million “Spin You Around” – 399 million “Love Somebody” – I’m The Problem – 380 million “This Bar” – Dangerous: The Double Album – 362 million The post What Are Morgan Wallen’s Most-Streamed Songs? first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Dolly Parton Is Reportedly “Getting Better Every Day” After Recent Health Issues

Getting better every day. Earlier this year, Dolly Parton had fans worried sick about her after she had to postpone and miss a few events due to health issues. On September 28, Dolly’s team shared a post she wrote to fans, announcing that she would have to postpone her residency dates due to “health challenges.” She didn’t get specific, obviously, but the 79-year-old Dolly explained that whatever she is going through will require surgery, and she will need time to recover; therefore, she will not be ready to perform in complete show form by December. In typical Dolly fashion, she joked that it wasn’t an appointment for her “usual trip to see my plastic surgeon,” and she feels as though God is trying to tell her to slow down for this season and rest up. She assured everyone that she’s not quitting, and she plans to give the fans the show she feels they deserve as soon as she’s back to 100% View this post on Instagram While many fans sent well wishes to the “9 to 5” singer, they became very concerned about her health when her sister asked everyone to keep Dolly in their prayers during these health challenges. In a post to Facebook, Dolly’s younger sister, Freida Parton, called for Dolly’s fans to continue to pray for her recovery: “Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me. She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!” After Freida’s comments became a huge story, she took to Facebook once again to clarify her previous statement, saying she didn’t want to “scare anyone or make it sound so serious.” Still, she believes in the power of prayer, and since Dolly has been feeling under the weather, she wants to help her in any way she can. She explained it was “nothing more” than a little sister looking out for her big sister: “I want to clear something up. I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly. She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister. Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference.” Soon after Freida’s post, Dolly’s other sister, Stella, chimed in, saying she was offended that some fans want her to be their “personal information center” and that Dolly would speak when she was ready. To those with genuine concern for my big sister Dolly’s well being, she posted a video last week to share with her fans that she has had kidney stones and is getting treatment. My sister Freida is always concerned when one of her siblings isn’t feeling well so she ask for… — Stella Parton (@StellaParton) October 8, 2025 I suppose all the hoopla surrounding her sisters speaking out has prompted Dolly to share with fans what has been going on. Dolly set the record straight that she “ain’t dead yet!” In a social media post, Parton explains that she’s far from being bedridden with illness, but needs to be closer to home for doctor’s appointments, leading her to postpone shows and miss appearances. “I want to say something! Well, today’s October 8th, and obviously I’m here, doing some commercials for the Grand Ole Opry, which is why I’m dressed kind of like a country western girl! But before I got started, I wanted to say lately, I know everybody thinks that I’m sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here! Anyway, I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease, those who seemed to be real concerned —which I appreciate. And I appreciate your prayers because I’m a person of faith, I can always use the prayers for anything and everything. But I wanted you to know that I’m okay. I’ve got some problems, as I mentioned. Back when my husband Carl was very sick, that was for a long time, and then when he passed, I didn’t take care of myself. So I let a lot of things go that I should have been taking care of. So anyway, when I got around to it, the doctor said, ‘We need to take care of this, we need to take care of that.’ Nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things to be closer to home, closer to Vanderbilt, where I’m kind of having a few treatments here and there.” In typical Dolly Parton fashion, she had to interject some humor into the announcement. She brought up some hilarious AI-generated images circulating on social media, showing her lying ill with Reba by her side. “But I wanted to you to know that I’m not dying. Did you see that AI picture of Reba and me? Oh Lordy! I mean, they had Reba at my deathbed, and we both look like we need to be buried. And I thought, ‘Oh my Lord!’ But if I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my deathbed. She might come visit me earlier, but anyway… There’s just a lot of rumors flying around, but I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I was okay. So anyhow, that’s what I wanted to say. I’m not ready to die yet! I don’t think God is through with me, and I ain’t done working. So I love you for caring, and keep praying for me.” I ain’t dead yet! pic.twitter.com/Mp553laadI — Dolly Parton (@DollyParton) October 8, 2025 While Dolly has been working, just releasing her new book ‘Star of the Show: My Life on Stage,’ she has not made many public appearances since letting fans know that she’s alright and taking some time for herself. In a recent update on her health, a source shared with People that she is at home healing and taking the time she needs to get healthy again. “Dolly is getting better every day. She is at home taking care of herself while many friends and family visit her. In true Dolly spirit, she has already started decorating for the holidays — her favorite time of year.” Nothing a little holiday cheer can’t cure, right? Before canceling her Las Vegas residency, Parton sat down with People as a part of her cover shoot and interview, speaking about her upcoming 80th birthday. Dolly will celebrate 80 years around the sun shortly after the new year on January 19, and feels as though 80 is starting a new chapter for her. While fans are still worried about her health and hope that she heals soon, Dolly shared during the conversation that her health would be the only thing that would make her consider slowing down. “People say, ‘Well, you’re going to be 80 years old.’ Well, so what? Look at all I’ve done in 80 years. I feel like I’m just getting started. I know that sounds stupid, but unless my health gives way, which right now I seem to be doing fine… I think there’s a lot to be said about age. If you allow yourself to get old, you will. I say, ‘I ain’t got time to get old!’ I ain’t got time to dwell on that. That’s not what I’m thinking about.” Dolly might be turning 80 soon, but her spirit and energy make her seem far younger. We hope that Dolly continues to recover and continues to take care of herself. We can’t wait to see her back in the limelight when she’s ready. Before you go, join Dolly by getting in the holiday cheer by firing up a Christmas song. Miranda Lambert & Parker McCollum Reflect On ‘Band Together Texas’ Benefit Concert That Raised Over $8.5 Million For Flood Relief

Giving back in a huge way. Back in August, Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum, and many other of their famous Texas friends and artists took the stage at the Moody Center in Austin for a star-studded benefit concert called Band Together Texas, which benefited The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, the leading charity behind the ongoing flood relief efforts, and Central Texas Community Foundation. Of course, South-central Texas was ravaged by flash flooding over the 4th of July weekend over the summer, and over 130 people lost their lives in the Texas Hill Country region. The Guadalupe River rose dramatically due to torrential rainfall, leading to widespread flooding, and a significant number of the fatalities occurred in Kerr County. The devastation has been unimaginable, and while nothing will be able to replace the loved ones who lost their lives, it does bring hope to know that people are so willing to step up during a time of great need. They raised over $8.5 MILLION and counting to benefit The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and Central Texas Community Foundation, and now, the money is being distributed to their partners in order to help support local communities. The Central Texas Community Foundation will receive $8 million, including a $1 million allocation to the Concho County Community Foundation, while the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country will receive more than $650,000, with resources designated to Habitat for Humanity’s “Home for the Holidays” initiative. Of course, the worry with massive fundraisers like this is that the money won’t end up exactly where it needs to be, but Miranda says they’ve “worked closely” with state officials to ensure every penny is going to the places and people that need it most: “These funds are more than numbers – they’re lifelines for families still recovering from this year’s floods. We worked closely with state officials and local partners to identify where the need is greatest and ensure that every dollar supports meaningful recovery.” Parker adds that it’s been an “amazing” experience to see Texans, and even people outside of the Lone Star State, step up for people who have lost everything: “It has been amazing to see Texans, and even folks outside of Texas, come together in such a huge way. The money raised will go a long way in helping our home recover.” Their distribution plan prioritizes counties hardest hit by flooding, and the money will go towards funding programs that address housing, infrastructure and community revitalization. In addition to Parker and Miranda headlining the event, tons of their fellow, very talented Texans made appearances at the benefit, including Ryan Bingham, Wade Bowen, Ronnie Dunn, Dylan Gossett, Jack Ingram, Cody Johnson, Lyle Lovett, Lukas Nelson, Jon Randall and Randy Rogers, plus honorary Texan for the night Jason Aldean. In addition, Matthew McConaughey and Dennis Quaid; former UT Longhorns coach Mack Brown and players Emmanuel Acho, Colt McCoy and Vince Young; MLB star and Houston native Roger Clemens; television host and Dallas native Chris Harrison; and fashion designer Kendra Scott all made appearances as well. From Cody Johnson’s gorgeous acoustic rendition of “How Great Thou Art,” to Lukas Nelson and Pat Green’s duet of “Waltz Across Texas” and Wade Bowen’s emotional performance of “A Beautiful World,” there were so many amazing moments, and I’ll leave you with Ronnie Dunn’s beautiful performance of “Believe”: CoJo’s rendition of “How Great Thou Art” is perfect: The post Miranda Lambert & Parker McCollum Reflect On ‘Band Together Texas’ Benefit Concert That Raised Over $8.5 Million For Flood Relief first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
