Spinal Tap On TV
Spinal Tap were on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!, (Monday, 9/8) for their first late-night television appearance in more than 15 years.
Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean) and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) are joined by director Marty DiBergi (Rob Reiner), the man behind the “mockumentary;’ “This Is Spinal Tap,“(1984) for an in-character interview and performance, prior to the September 12th theatrical release of the sequel, “Spinal Tap II: The End Continues.”
After an enthusistic introduction by Kimmel, Spinal Tap performed “Big Bottom.”

“On, Off, And Around The Record Live Event,” featuring an exclusive question-and-answer session, will be held on September 10th at the TCL Chinese Theatre in L.A. and will stream live in theaters across the country.
Ticket Information
Accompanying the film is the album “The End Continues,” also out on the 12th. It has the band’s reworked classic “Stonehenge,” with Elton John plus new songs and four reinvented favorites featuring guests Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.
