WIN BY HARLEY-DAVIDSON RACERS JAKE LEWIS & CORY WEST

HARLEY-DAVIDSON® PAN AMERICA® ST RACERS JAKE LEWIS AND CORY WEST WIN IN MISSION SUPER HOOLIGAN DOUBLE-HEADER AT THE RIDGE Briar Bauman Races Harley-Davidson® XG750R to Fourth Mission AFT SuperTwins Victory of the Season MILWAUKEE (June 29, 2025) – Saddlemen Race Development riders Jake Lewis and Cory West each won a race in the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship Presented By Roland Sands Designs and Powered by Harley-Davidson® double-header weekend at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Wash. KWR Harley-Davidson rider James Rispoli placed second in both races as Harley-Davidson racers claimed five of six podium positions aboard race-prepared Harley-Davidson® Pan America® 1250 ST motorcycles. Harley-Davidson riders continue to dominate the class after a mid-season rules change that raised the minimum weight for Pan America® bikes from 377 pounds to 450 pounds. Lewis leads the series by 24 points over defending series champion West. In an American Flat Track SuperTwins double-header weekend at Lima, Ohio, Rick Ware Racing/Parts Plus/Latus Motors rider Briar Bauman raced a Harley-Davidson® XG750R motorcycle to his fourth win of the season on Saturday and leads the AFT premier class championship by 10 points. Jake Lewis and Cory West Trade Wins in Mission Super Hooligans The tight 2.47-mile, 16-turn Ridge Motorsports Park road course put a premium on handling and race craft. In the eight-lap race on Saturday, Lewis used an outstanding start from his front-row position to open an immediate lead over West and pole-sitter Andy DiBrino on the Competition Werkes Racing Triumph. Lewis pulled away, opening a 1.5-second lead after two laps, as West and DiBrino waged a fierce battle for second place. On Lap 3, West ran off the track which let DiBrino past. West recovered and rejoined the race in sixth position. KWR Harley-Davidson rider James Rispoli closed in on DiBrino and passed for second place on Lap 7. Lewis led Rispoli at the finish by 1.940 seconds to take his fourth consecutive victory in the class. DiBrino finished third, 1.074 seconds behind Rispoli. West got past KWR Harley-Davidson rider Hayden Schultz and ARCH Racing rider Corey Alexander in the closing laps to finish in fourth place. “Someone said they were going to show us who’s boss, but when the lights went out I just took off and showed them who’s boss today,” said Lewis following the Saturday race. “It’s nice to put it in the number one spot. Hats off to the Saddlemen team, who worked all winter to make these bikes light. They were down in the dumps [after the rules change], but I told the team I was going to show up and kick some ass this weekend. They can keep trying to slow us down and we’ll keep coming.” On Sunday, Cory West was determined to regain the momentum that carried him to the 2024 Super Hooligans title. West got a jump on Lewis and Rispoli at the start and led a pack of riders that also included Alexander, DiBrino, and Yamaha racer Dominic Doyle. By the third lap West, Lewis, and Rispoli opened a 1.8-second lead on the field, and the trio of Harley racers battled wheel to wheel, with Lewis attacking West but failing to pass for the lead. West led by 0.310 seconds on Lap 7 when Rispoli got past Lewis to claim second place. The last lap saw a tremendous fight between West and Rispoli, with both riders on the limit. West successfully defended his position at the front and crossed the finish line 0.027 seconds clear of Rispoli. Lewis faded with handling issues and finished third, 2.063 seconds behind West. “Carrying that number one plate has a lot of pressure behind it,” said West. “I’ve had some rough races the last two rounds and it’s just good to get back to where we need to be. It’s good to lead every lap and win this one just for my confidence. We are not far out of the championship. We just need to keep this going. Now we’ll go to Laguna where I usually go really good. I’ve got an awesome teammate who’s hard to beat, but we got the Harley sweep so we are back where we should be.” Rispoli posted his best Super Hooligan results of the season at The Ridge, bouncing back after failing to finish the two previous races in Atlanta. “Me and Westy got pretty close two times out there but we didn’t touch,” said Rispoli. “The old man was wily today. He had my number and got it done. The KWR team has been turning this Pan America motorcycle upside down and I had the pace to win today but didn’t get it done. But deuce-deuce? We’ll take it, baby.” After six of 10 races in the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship, Lewis leads the series with 123 points. West moves into second place with 99 points, followed by Travis Wyman with 86 points, Cody Wyman with 80 points and Rispoli with 67 points. The Mission Super Hooligan championship resumes July 11-13 at the MotoAmerica Superbike Speedfest presented by Law Tigers at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, Calif. Friday night debuted a new Mission Triple-Challenge format that saw the SuperTwins field contest three races – a 10-lap opener followed by a 15-lap race and a 20-lap final. Escalating points were awarded for each race, with championship points awarded based on accumulated points. In the first race, Bauman finished second to Yamaha rider Dallas Daniels, his closest rival in season points. Bauman bounced back to win the second race, passing Daniels and Mission/Roof Systems/Harley-Davidson rider Brandon Robinson with six laps to go. The third race saw Bauman, Daniels and Robinson battle for the lead early, with Bauman opening a gap mid-race. But with five laps remaining, a slipping clutch caused Bauman to drop off the pace and Daniels passed for the lead. Robinson made up a five-second gap to pass Bauman in the last corner to take second place and bump Bauman down to third. When accumulated points were tallied, it was Daniels getting the over-all win, with Bauman second and Robinson third. On Saturday night, the SuperTwins action returned to its traditional format. Daniels and Bauman each won their heat race and Bauman also won the four-lap #2Fast2Tasty Challenge bonus sprint. In the main event, Bauman led Daniels and Robinson in close early laps but began to stretch out a lead that reached more than 2 seconds at the 5-minute mark. Daniels eventually got around Robinson and gradually reeled in Bauman but could not catch the Harley rider before laps ran out. Bauman led Daniels across the finish line by 0.383 seconds to win his fourth race of the season and 30th of his career. Robinson finished third, 8.585 seconds behind Bauman and 0.181 seconds ahead of Yamaha rider Declan Bender. “Man, I was going to win last night – I know I was – but the clutch went out. I was pretty bitter,” said Bauman. “Tonight, I think it was harder to lead than it was to follow in the second half of the race because you could see what the guy in front of you was doing and maybe inch up a little bit. Dallas did that quick. If he would have had a few more laps, he probably would have had me, but he didn’t.” After seven of 16 rounds in the 2025 AFT Mission SuperTwins championship, Bauman leads with 149 points, followed by Daniels with 139 points. Robinson moves up to third place with 102 points, ahead of KTM rider Davis Fisher with 93 points. Father Jumps From Cruise Ship Into Sea To Rescue Young Daughter Who Fell Overboard

A heroic father jumped off a Disney cruise ship into the water after his young daughter fell overboard. According to TheStreet, the Disney Dream was sailing back to Fort Lauderdale from Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in The Bahamas. The cruise turned horrifying after the girl fell overboard from the 4th deck. “A girl fell overboard from the 4th deck & her dad went in after her,” a passenger posted on Facebook, according to the New York Post. Collin Rugg noted additional passenger accounts. “The ship was moving quickly, so quickly, it’s crazy how quickly the people became tiny dots in the sea, and then you lost sight of them,” one passenger said, according to Rugg. “I saw the mother crying and but when they rescued them, I think that’s when the tears really started flowing, because you were just so overjoyed knowing and I prayed to God to save them, and He did,” another individual reportedly said. “We commend our Crew Members for their exceptional skills and prompt actions, which ensured the safe return of both guests to the ship within minutes,” Disney Cruise stated, according to Rugg. “We are committed to the safety and well-being of our guests, and this incident highlights the effectiveness of our safety protocols,” it added. The father treaded water for about 20 minutes before they were rescued. However, the ship was cruising en route to Fort Lauderdale. “Not docked! Halfway between Bahamas and Ft. Lauderdale! Fully moving! Heard in our rooms ‘Mr. M.O.B port side.’ Ran to the 11th deck to see them throwing life preservers. 10ish minutes later a lifeboat drops and they find the people within 3-5 minutes of that. The man treaded water for at least 20 minutes,” metzd87 explained in the DCL community on Reddit. The alarming incident left many cruisers wondering how a child could manage to fall overboard from a Disney cruise ship considering all the safety precautions the cruise line has in place like plexiglass barriers to prevent climbing on railings. According to passenger comments in the Reddit thread, the child fell from Deck 4 of the Disney Dream, which features a walking/jogging track. It’s obvious that the father was with the child when she fell since he jumped in immediately after her, but it’s unclear at this time exactly how she fell overboard from the ship. But no matter how the incident occurred, the fact that Disney Cruise Line crew members were able to successfully rescue the child and her father in the middle of the ocean is a testament to their rigorous emergency training. Cruise ship crew members conduct frequent safety drills to prepare for unimaginable situations just like this one. The dad spent around 20 minutes in the sea holding his daughter — who appeared to be about 5 — before they were both pulled to safety, according to some of the online posts. “Lots of praying folks on this ship!” posted another passenger, Dewayne Smith, who also reported that the “little girl fell overboard and her dad jumped overboard to try to save her.” “Both the little girl and dad were both successfully rescued.” It was not immediately clear how the girl first fell. Disney Cruise Line confirmed that its crew “swiftly rescued two guests from the water.”

Justice Department Files Lawsuit Against ‘Sanctuary City’

The Department of Justice on Monday filed a lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles over its ‘sanctuary city’ policy, alleging it interferes with federal immigration enforcement. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and City Council members were also named in the lawsuit. The lawsuit follows chaotic riots in Los Angeles against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers that prompted President Trump to mobilize the National Guard. “The challenged law and policies of the City of Los Angeles obstruct the Federal Government’s enforcement of federal immigration law and impede consultation and communication between federal, state, and local law enforcement officials that is necessary for federal officials to carry out federal immigration law and keep Americans safe,” the lawsuit says, according to ABC News. “Sanctuary policies were the driving cause of the violence, chaos, and attacks on law enforcement that Americans recently witnessed in Los Angeles,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said. “Jurisdictions like Los Angeles that flout federal law by prioritizing illegal aliens over American citizens are undermining law enforcement at every level – it ends under President Trump,” she added. NEW: The Justice Department confirms to @NewsNation that it filed a lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles saying its sanctuary policies violate the Constitution. The DoJ is asking that the city's sanctuary policies be blocked from being enforced. Statement via @AGPamBondi:… — Ali Bradley (@AliBradleyTV) June 30, 2025 ABC News noted: The lawsuit is targeting Ordinance Number 188441, which prohibits city resources, including personnel, from being used for immigration enforcement. The DOJ is seeking a permanent injunction barring the city from enforcing the ordinance. “Today, the Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles, California, @MayorOfLA Karen Bass, and the Los Angeles City Council over policies that Los Angeles enacted shortly after President Donald J. Trump’s reelection to interfere with the federal government’s enforcement of its immigration laws,” the Justice Department stated, according to NewsNation correspondent Ali Bradley. Trump’s reelection to interfere with the… pic.twitter.com/VUpxPncLno — Ali Bradley (@AliBradleyTV) June 30, 2025 A closer look: More from the Los Angeles Times: L.A.’s sanctuary city law was proposed in early 2023, long before Trump’s election, but finalized in the wake of his victory in November. Under the ordinance, city employees and city property may not be used to “investigate, cite, arrest, hold, transfer or detain any person” for the purpose of immigration enforcement. An exception is made for law enforcement investigating serious offenses. The ordinance bars city employees from seeking out information about an individual’s citizenship or immigration status unless it is needed to provide a city service. They also must treat data or information that can be used to trace a person’s citizenship or immigration status as confidential. In the lawsuit, federal prosecutors allege that the city’s ordinance and other policies intentionally discriminate against the federal government by “treating federal immigration authorities differently than other law enforcement agents,” by restricting access to property and to individual detainees, by prohibiting contractors and sub-contractors from providing information, and by “disfavoring federal criminal laws that the City of Los Angeles has decided not to comply with.” “The Supremacy Clause prohibits the City of Los Angeles and its officials from singling out the Federal Government for adverse treatment — as the challenged law and policies do — thereby discriminating against the Federal Government,” the lawsuit says. “Accordingly, the law and policies challenged here are invalid and should be enjoined.” Trump’s Department of Justice contends that L.A.’s sanctuary city ordinance goes much further than similar laws in other jurisdictions, by “seeking to undermine the Federal Government’s immigration enforcement efforts.”

Comedian Shares Shockingly Violent Anti-Trump Image

Comedian and actress Kathy Griffin seemed to call for political violence this weekend, posting a video to TikTok that showed craft severed heads of four billionaires — including President Donald Trump. In the video, artwork depicting the decapitated heads of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Donald Trump, all with blood dripping from their necks, hangs from a wall. The clip ends with Griffin tilting her head, a smirk crossing her face as text above her reads: “That’s all.” The X account Libs of TikTok reposted the video and called for the FBI to investigate her. “Kathy Griffin apparently posted this video which appears to be decapitated heads including Trump,” wrote the person behind the account. “This should be investigated @FBI.” Kathy Griffin apparently posted this video which appears to be decapitated heads including Trump This should be investigated @FBI pic.twitter.com/IwLL5l9ta1 — Libs of TikTok (@libsoftiktok) June 29, 2025 Griffin has previously come under fire for media stunts involving severed heads. In 2017, she posted a video of herself holding a mask styled to look like the decapitated head of Trump. After significant backlash, Griffin took the post down and apologized for the incident. At the time, Lisa Bloom, an attorney for the actress, said that “Griffin never imagined that it could be misinterpreted as a threat of violence against Trump. That was never what she intended. She has never threatened or committed an act of violence against anyone.” JULY 4 SALE: Get Six Months Of DW+ Free Still, CNN fired Griffin from their New Year’s Eve broadcast, and Squatty Potty, a toilet stool company, dropped her as a spokesperson. Considering the backlash she received in 2017, it is no surprise that conservatives are not happy with her latest video. “How is she still not in jail?” one X user wrote. Others, however, defended her, claiming that “freedom of expression” protects the video. Calls for political violence are not protected speech in the United States.

Supreme Court To Hear GOP Free Speech Challenge To Campaign Spending Restrictions

Supreme Court To Hear GOP Free Speech Challenge To Campaign Spending Restrictions

The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear a Republican challenge to campaign finance regulations that restricts political parties from coordinating campaign spending with political candidates. The challenge from the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) argues that restricting the amount parties can spend in coordination with candidates violates the First Amendment by restricting speech. The court is expected to hear arguments on the case when its fall 2025 term begins. “The government should not restrict a party committee’s support for its own candidates. These coordinated expenditure limits violate the First Amendment, and we appreciate the Court’s decision to hear our case,” said NRSC Chair Tim Scott and National Republican Congressional Committee Chair Richard Hudson. “Coordinated spending continues to be a critical part of winning campaigns, and the NRSC and NRCC will ensure we are in the strongest possible position to win in 2026 and beyond.” The case was originally brought by the NRSC and now-Vice President J.D. Vance back in 2022 in a challenge to restrictions on coordinated spending introduced by the 1972 Federal Election Campaign Act. In September 2024, the restrictions were upheld by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. In its decision, the appeals court said that the NRSC made “fair points” about speech restrictions; it could not side with them because of previous Supreme Court precedent. The precedent in question was the 2001 FEC vs. Colorado Republican Federal Campaign Committee decision, which ruled that limits on coordinated spending do not violate the First Amendment. JULY 4 SALE: Get Six Months Of DW+ Free “The key reality is that the Supreme Court has not overruled the 2001 Colorado decision or the deferential review it applied to these provisions of the Act. In a hierarchical legal system, we must follow that decision and thus must deny the plaintiffs’ First Amendment facial and as applied challenges,” the Sixth Circuit Court wrote in its September decision. In its December 2024 petition to the Supreme Court, the NRSC said that Congress “has built a wall of separation between party and candidate, forcing party committees to figure out how to get their candidates elected without hearing from them.” “Should this Court decline to take this case, future litigants will interpret that decision as proof that, whatever the Court has said in more recent campaign-finance cases, it is content to leave the political parties as second-class holders of First Amendment rights,” they wrote. The Trump administration has signaled support for the challenge, while the Supreme Court allowed the Democratic National Committee to intervene in support of the campaign finance restrictions.
