Biden Admin Orders Release Of ‘Single Adults’ From 100+ Countries At Top Immigration Sector: Report

Border Patrol agents in Southern California are reportedly under orders to release “single adults” immigrating to the U.S. from the Eastern Hemisphere and classify them as “hard” or “very hard” to remove. A memo sent to Border Patrol agents working in the San Diego sector, which has become a top illegal immigrant crossing, instructs officials to process and release single adults into the U.S. interior as NTA/OR, short for Notice to Appear/Release on Own Recognizance. The memo applies to all countries in the Eastern Hemisphere, which number more than 100, except for six: Uzbekistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Georgia, Moldova, and Kyrgyzstan, according to Fox News. NEW: @FoxNews has obtained an internal Border Patrol memo sent to agents in San Diego sector after President Biden’s executive order took effect, instructing them to release single adults from all but six countries in the eastern hemisphere & classifying them as “hard” or “very… pic.twitter.com/OaSLSYbuC1 — Bill Melugin (@BillMelugin_) June 9, 2024 Aspects of the memo were first reported by The Washington Examiner. Last week, a senior Biden administration official told reporters that the government was making progress on managing immigration from the Eastern Hemisphere and expecting further advancement, a message contradicted by the memo pushed out to San Diego Sector immigration authorities. “Extra-hemispheric migrants have always been a challenge. They will be subject to these rules, provisions,” the official told reporters last week, according to the Examiner. “We’ve also been working with governments all over the world to enhance our ability to repatriate individuals to countries that have historically been challenging. We have, for example, operated repatriation flights to India, to China, to Uzbekistan, to Mauritania, to Senegal over the last few months, and those are all countries that historically would have been much more challenging for us to return individuals to and we anticipate we will continue to enhance our ability to return migrants to the Eastern Hemisphere.” “So, we do think that the rules measures will allow us to impose an immediate and fast consequence to migrants no matter what country they’re coming from,” the same official said. The number of immigrants crossing into the U.S. through the San Diego Sector has exploded recently to numbers not seen in the region since the 1990s when immigration roiled state politics. In April alone, 37,370 people crossed illegally into the U.S. through the sector. Immigrants from 98 different countries came through the sector. CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP The rise in San Diego Sector immigration comes as Texas has taken steps on the state level to reduce illegal immigration into the state, measures that have been fought by the Biden administration. Republicans in Arizona are looking at similar steps, though the state is governed by Katie Hobbs, a Democrat. The memo to San Diego Border Patrol was revealed after President Joe Biden signed an executive order last week in a move the administration said would crack down on illegal immigration. Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott said over the weekend that the order has done nothing to slow immigration into the country. “There’s no slowing down of people crossing the border. In fact, it’s just accelerating. This is gaslighting our fellow Americans. When Biden gets up and says, ‘This is going to stop people from coming across the border,’ when he says, ‘It’s going to secure the border,’ in fact, it is making illegal border crossings worse,” Abbott said, according to Fox News.

The Fate Of The Racially Furious

Several weeks ago, I saw a news article proclaiming that it’s been four years since the death of George Floyd — and my head snapped. It certainly doesn’t feel like it’s been four years. When George Floyd’s death on a Minneapolis street hit headlines in May 2020, I was busy graduating high school, sans Pomp and Circumstance, and trying to figure out what exactly the future would hold. We were headlong into the COVID-19 lockdowns, and my schedule was, to say the least, very open. The video of Floyd’s death, and the pure unadulterated social rage that followed, served as a catalyst that would change the country forever. Americans were looking for a reason to be mad — and they found one. The race-obsessive revolution that followed happened in two ways: suddenly and gradually. In the months after Floyd’s death, American cities descended into madness, with looters and vandals doing $1–2 billion worth of damage in the most expensive riot damage tolls in the past half-century. But you can’t riot forever; in many ways, the gradual incursions of America’s race revolution in the institutional space have been even more pernicious and laid the groundwork for a far more complex wave of social racialization. I’m referring, of course, to DEI: programs for diversity, equity, and inclusions that’ve commandeered billions of dollars from the university to the boardroom and re-ignited fierce debates about the place of race in public life. Shortly after the death of George Floyd, such initiatives were everywhere. You’d be hard pressed to find a company in the Fortune 1000 that wasn’t having to explore the best way to approach the issues of racial and cultural conflict in the workplace: exploration to the tune of $340 billion. Corporate America pledged more than the entire 2024 budget of the Department of Education to treat a disease that they weren’t sure they had. Yet here we stand, four years later, and times have changed. As a corporate analyst, who’s watched almost a hundred annual meetings and listened to thousands of corporate proposals, I see how the market for diversity officers is drying up. Very few corporate proposals are seeking to form DEI commissions or move the goalposts on diversity — and an increasing number are actually asking companies to audit the legal and reputational risks that such programs have created. What happened? Did the corporate DEI movement simply get stamped out by greedy companies, happy to forego racial progress to make a buck? Or, does the movement itself bear some blame for grounding itself on the rocks? I’ve interviewed both DEI critics and advocates, trying to find answers. I’ve listened to corporate activists, including at Walmart’s annual meeting last week, discussing how employees of color are still at risk and underprivileged in the workplace. I can sympathize with concerns about prejudice — and no doubt, sympathizing with concerns is how many corporate DEI initiatives began. Yet, the racializing solutions corporations have devised are quickly running up against reality. Just look at the case of Amazon, which recently had to deal with multiple lawsuits over its diversity grant program (piloted in 2020) that excludes white and Asian entrepreneurs. As the pendulum swings back towards normal, ordinary Americans are waking up and realizing how divorced from reality corporate ‘anti-racist’ solutions are. I’m reminded of a conversation I had in Grand Rapids last year with a DEI practitioner who said, “DEI isn’t generally seen as ‘company first.’ HR is there to look out for the company and mitigate risk. And DEI can create some risk there.” When pressed, she further noted her discomfort with the fact that “DEI consultants are buying into the corporate and capitalist game.” If DEI practitioners view corporate structures, including the pursuit of fiduciary duty, as a game to be played, and openly admit that their practices create corporate risk… that’s a bit of a poison pill for a corporate department/initiative tasked with providing positive returns to shareholders. DEI’s most ardent advocates and supporters might like to believe that diversity initiatives are part and parcel of increasing brand value. But shareholders don’t seem to agree—and as DEI’s potential to create corporate risk increases, so does the skittishness of the people who rely on brand performance for return. Four years after the death of George Floyd, America’s rejection of race radicalism is underway, from the Supreme Court to prominent academic institutions (even the faculty of Harvard are doing away with mandatory DEI statements). As economist Glenn Loury told me days after the Court’s overturn of affirmative action, “People said there was going to be a racial reckoning after George Floyd. The real reckoning on race is this.” America’s DEI advocates didn’t fall victim to a series of unfortunate events or any such helpless situation. They walked into the boardroom unseriously, and assumed that the radicalism and real risk that came along with them wouldn’t matter to corporate America. Billions of dollars later, it’s abundantly clear: it mattered. The corporate DEI movement’s wounds are overwhelmingly self-inflicted, and its eventual demise will be as well. I only wish it hadn’t taken us four years and hundreds of billions of dollars to arrive at this conclusion. * * * Isaac Willour is a corporate analyst at Bowyer Research. Police Arrest Second Illegal Immigrant Murder Suspect Living In Colony Ridge

Texas state authorities arrested an illegal immigrant murder suspect who had been living in Colony Ridge, the sprawling land development just north of Houston that has become infamous for legally suspect financial and marketing tactics that seek to attract illegal immigrants. The Splendora Police Department announced the June 7 arrest of Juan Jose Valero Cruz over murder charges in Mexico in a post on Facebook, making him the second illegal immigrant murder suspect and Colony Ridge murder suspect apprehended by authorities in just the last two weeks. “Splendora Police Department’s Criminal Interdiction Unit, in coordination with Federal Law Enforcement Partners, successfully apprehended another fugitive murder suspect wanted by Interpol,” the post explains. “The suspect, who had been illegally residing in our state and country, was known to travel between the City and his residence in Terrenos,” another name used for Colony Ridge. “Mr. Cruz is no stranger to being deported as this will be his third time,” the Splendora Police Department went on to add. “Cruz was taken into custody to face Murder charges in Mexico.” The arrest of Cruz comes just after the Splendora Police and agents with the Department of Homeland Security arrested Leo Acosta Sanchez, an illegal immigrant who entered the United States in August 2023 from Mexico and was also residing in Colony Ridge. The police stated that Sanchez was a “fugitive murder suspect” wanted by the international police and “had been illegally residing in our state and country.” READ MORE: Inside Colony Ridge: The ‘Fastest Growing Development’ In The U.S. Is A Magnet For Illegal Immigrants The development came under additional scrutiny late last year after a teen was allegedly abducted at gunpoint inside Colony Ridge and was shot at as he fled his captors. After a special legislative session last Fall, Texas directed state law enforcement to step up its presence in the area to combat the violence that plagued the community. Colony Ridge has been the subject of a series of Daily Wire investigations detailing the development’s alleged marketing to illegal immigrants. Led by brothers John and Trey Harris, Colony Ridge encourages potential buyers to “own land in the United States” and accepts foreign passports as a form of identification when offering loans. The arrests of Cruz and Sanchez and the population explosion experienced by Colony Ridge come as the country has faced the worst border crisis in its history. Officials have so far recorded over 9.5 million nationwide encounters and 1.7 million estimated illegal immigrant gotaways during Biden’s term. Splendora is a Texas town of less than 2,000 and is one of the many small towns that’s been severely affected by the growth of the Colony Ridge development, which is projected to have anywhere from 45,000 to 75,000 residents, though official figures are not available. The development has now come under serious legal scrutiny and faces lawsuits from the Department of Justice, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who told The Daily Wire that “literally every sale” made by Colony Ridge could have been in violation of consumer financial protection law.

Eminem Fires Up Crowd With Momentous Surprise Duet In Detroit

Michigan Central Station is a historic landmark in the Corktown district of Detroit. When the announcement was made that Eminem would headline “Live From Detroit: The Concert at Michigan Central,” fans were excited. The rap star is a fixture in Detroit. He was born and raised in the Motor City and has included references in many of his hit songs. Eminem surprised fans by bringing country music star Jelly Roll to the stage. The duo sang Sing For the Moment, creating a momentous duet. Rocker Steven Tyler sang the vocals on the original recording in 2002. The song, which came out on February 25, 2003, was the fourth single from The Eminem Show. During the concert, the rapper revisited some older songs. The star also sang Houdini, which was released on May 31, 2024. The new song will be the lead single on the rapper’s twelfth album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). Eminem had a unique backup band for the grand reopening of Michigan Central Station — the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Eminem and Jelly Roll were not the only big stars contributing to the festivities. The show also included Motor City greats Diana Ross, Big Sean, Slum Village, and Jack White. Gospel singers the Clark Sisters and Kierra Sheard were also on hand for the big event. Eminem and Jelly Roll Helped Usher New Life Into Michigan Central Station Many people may not understand the significance of Michigan Central Station in Detroit’s past. The station operated from 1913 to 1988 as the city’s primary rail hub. The building, which includes an 18-story tower containing over 500 offices, has 10 rail gates in the three-story depot and waiting area. Image from Wikimedia Commons. The building’s highlight was the waiting area. The marble floors, vaulted ceilings, and bronze chandeliers made Michigan Central Station a showplace! There was a restaurant, barber, florist, snack kiosks, a lunch counter, and more. When I was a child, my great-grandmother worked at a kiosk in the waiting area. My dad would take me there to eat at the lunch counter. After lunch, I would get the BIGGEST, SHINIEST red delicious apple you could imagine! OK, I was four or five — everything was HUGE to me. If you cried, the acoustics in the vaulted space would amplify your wails for all to hear. Fond memories. When Ford Motor Company bought the building in 2018, it had been empty for thirty years. Almost every window was broken, and debris was everywhere. Urban adventure seekers would sneak in to film themselves in the massive building for YouTube videos. Ford vowed to restore it to its original grandeur. It took six years, but with this grand opening, Detroit again has a showcase building to be proud of. Images from Wikimedia Commons and Pexels. And like all things in Detroit, we celebrated it in style. Thank you, Eminem and Jelly Roll, for sharing your amazing talents. Prince William Shares Adorable “Bit Of Advice” Prince Louis Offered England’s Soccer Team

Prince William shared some royal advice with England’s soccer team today, but it didn’t come from him. Instead, it came from his youngest son, Prince Louis. The future king met with the team’s players on June 10 to wish them luck ahead of the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament, which kicks off on Friday (June 14). While he was there, he relayed a message from Louis. “The best bit of advice I got was to eat twice the amount you normally would eat!” Prince William shared. “So, I now have visions of you running around with massive great tummies,” he joked. “So maybe take my youngest’s advice with a pinch of salt, particularly around the physio team.” The Prince of Wales wishes the England squad good luck and shares some advice from Prince Louis (“eat twice the amount”) pic.twitter.com/CaaNwpCUMa— Lizzie Robinson (@LizzieITV) June 10, 2024 William had asked his three children—Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6—for words of wisdom as he was driving them to school that morning. He and his kids are avid soccer fans and regularly attend games. Just last month, William and Prince George took a father-son outing to watch the FA Cup final. Prince William Will Be “Watching Every Single Game” In The Tournament During the event, William handed shirts to the team players and assured them he’d be “watching every single game.” “As some of you know way better than anyone else in this room, tournament football is brutal. It requires a lot more than you’ve already given,” he said. “It’s going to be difficult; it’s going to be fun; it’s going to be challenging, and everything you’ve ever dreamed of wearing that England shirt.” The Prince of Wales is the Football Association’s president. The organization governs the professional soccer leagues throughout the country. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here.
