BIDEN BORDER CRISIS: 7 New Illegal Immigrant Crimes ABC, CBS, NBC Are Burying

The tragic cost of Biden’s border crisis keeps rising as more horrific acts committed by illegal immigrants seem to be happening on an almost daily basis. Senator Ted Cruz encapsulated Americans’ frustration when he posted “Every…damn…day” in response to a July 8 story of an illegal (who had already been deported) allegedly raping a Utah child. The tragic stories are piling up, but ABC, CBS and NBC have mostly ignored them on their evening, morning and Sunday roundtable shows. NewsBusters examined seven new cases of illegal crimes that occurred in just the last month. The networks refused to mention anything about four of the seven and limited coverage to the other three to brief stories or mentions. Back in April, when the House sent articles of impeachment to the Senate to try Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, NewsBusters reported on cases of innocent victims killed by illegal immigrants during the Biden administration that ABC, CBS and NBC buried. In May, NewsBusters looked at eight arrests of illegal immigrants in crimes ranging from sexual assaults to fatal car crashes that have made news in their local communities but went completely unreported by the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks. The following is a look at seven new horrific crimes committed by illegal immigrants that the networks have either quickly brushed by or completely censored:    1. Illegal Immigrant Who Was Previously Deported, Accused of Raping Utah Child  On July 8, TheBlaze.com reported:  An illegal alien with at least one prior deportation from the United States has now been accused of raping a child in Utah. Around 3 p.m. on July 4, Francisco Lopez-Ramirez, a 42-year-old Mexican national living in the U.S. illegally, was arrested in Provo, Utah. Though almost no details have been reported regarding the allegations against him or the circumstances regarding his arrest, Utah County jail records confirm not only that Lopez-Ramirez was arrested but that he was charged with raping a child and with unlawful sexual activity with a minor believed to be 16 or 17 years old. Jail records also indicate that ICE has since issued an immigration detainer against him, rendering him “not bailable.” Blaze News reached out to Enforcement and Removal Operations at the ICE field office in Salt Lake City to learn further details about the suspect. ERO informed us that Lopez-Ramirez has at least one prior arrest from more than a decade ago that resulted in a deportation. On January 31, 2010, he was “discovered living in Utah” after he was arrested for ‘local charges,’ an ERO spokesperson told Blaze News. The nature of those charges is unclear, but they did result in an immigration detainer. Fewer than two weeks later, an immigration judge ordered Lopez-Ramirez deported back to Mexico, the ERO spokesperson told Blaze News. At some point since, Lopez-Ramirez must have re-entered the country illegally “without inspection by an immigration official,” as ERO has no record of when or where he may have entered. Once ICE officials learned about his arrest for alleged child rape in Provo on July 4, they issued an immigration detainer for him the same day. ABC, CBS, NBC evening and morning show coverage: 0 seconds.   2. Illegal Immigrant Accused of Killing Two Chick-fil-A Employees in Texas, Sneaked Into the US Before     On July 1, the New York Post reported:  The illegal migrant accused of shooting dead two Texas Chick-fil-A workers had previously sneaked past authorities to enter the US illegally, sources told The Post. Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta — a 37-year-old native of El Salvador who is charged with capital murder — told authorities he crossed into the US illegally, but claimed not to know when or where, Homeland Security sources said. He also told authorities he’s married with a child, whom he says is a US citizen.  … Mendoza Argueta allegedly opened fire Wednesday at the fast food joint location in the Dallas suburb of Irving before fleeing the scene in a silver 1997 Honda sedan. His wife works at the Chick-fil-A and helped authorities track down Mendoza Argueta, according to FOX 4.  … The victims of the shooting have since been identified as 31-year-old Brayan Godoy, a father of four from Guatemala, and 49-year-old grandmother Patricia Portillo, FOX 4 reported. Godo’s wife, Elisabeth, told FOX 4 that her husband moved to the area by himself from Guatemala and juggled multiple jobs to support his family back home. ABC, CBS, NBC evening and morning show coverage: 0 seconds.   3. Illegal Turkish Immigrant Arrested for Allegedly Raping 15-Year-Old Albany Girl, Was Caught Crossing Border Back in November      On June 27,  the New York Post reported:  A migrant from Turkey was charged with raping a 15-year-old girl in Albany — and questions are swirling about why it took cops more than a month to inform the public about the horrific assault. Sakir Akkan, 21, is accused of attacking the teen inside his car on Arch Street in the state capital in the early hours of May 14 after she ran away from a local group home, according to the Albany Times-Union and court records obtained by The Post. Akkan — who wasn’t arrested until last week — allegedly told the girl, who was in the passenger seat of his Toyota Prius, that he’d pummel her if she didn’t get into the back, and threatened her with a metal pole, according to the filing. Once she was inside the backseat, he allegedly took the girl’s clothes off and raped her, the filing charges. The victim lived in a group home close to where the attack unfolded, according to the Times-Union. She suffered scratches on her legs from trying to resist the attack, according to court docs. The teen was cut loose soon after and fled to a nearby residence for help, a police report obtained by The Albany Times-Union shows. The suspect was finally nabbed June 18 and slapped with a first-degree rape charge, Albany cops confirmed. … Court records show Akkan has an address listed in Troy, NY, but he is not a US citizen, and his lawyer confirmed on Thursday that he does have family in the Albany capital region. He was arrested by US Border Patrol agents on Nov. 5 last year after crossing into San Diego, California, illegally, a Homeland Security source told The Post. ABC, CBS, NBC evening and morning show coverage: 0 seconds.   4. One of the Illegal Immigrants Charged With Murder of 12-Year-Old Jocelyn Nungaray Was Recently Released Into the US     On June 20, the New York Post reported:  Police in Houston have arrested two migrants from Venezuela for the murder of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, who was lured away from home, then strangled and dumped in a bayou. One of the suspects crossed the border illegally less than a month before the shocking murder, and was released into the US after claiming he feared for his life if he was sent back to his home country, sources told The Post. Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, were charged Thursday with capital murder. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sources said Pena Ramos crossed into El Paso, Texas, on May 28. He was released soon after his interaction with border agents. … The second suspect, Rangel Martinez, crossed the border at El Paso on March 14 and was released with a court date in August, sources said. … Investigators identified the suspects from surveillance footage, after they were seen following Jocelyn as she walked into a local convenience store. Her body was found in a swampy creek on Monday by a Houston resident who happened to be driving by.  … The victim’s mother, Alexis Nungaray, said her daughter sneaked out of their apartment late Sunday. She told local outlet KHOU that she was taken “advantage of” by her killers. ABC, CBS, NBC evening and morning show coverage: 54 seconds on the June 21, NBC Nightly News. ABC and CBS did nothing.   5. Illegal Immigrant Who Admitted to Raping 13-Year Old NYC Girl Was Never Deported, Despite Judge’s Order     On June 20, the Daily Wire reported: An illegal alien who entered the U.S. under the Biden administration and was never deported, despite an order from a federal immigration judge, admitted to raping a young girl in New York City last week, prosecutors said on Wednesday. Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, 25, was arraigned on multiple charges this week after a group of Good Samaritans beat him up and held him until authorities were able to arrest him early on Tuesday. He had been on the run for several days after the attack on a 13-year-old girl in Kissena Park in Queens. The New York Post reported that the Ecuadorian migrant was charged with predatory sexual assault, first-degree rape, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, two counts of first-degree robbery, second-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, obstructing governmental administration, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. … The New York Post separately reported that a federal immigration judge ordered him to be deported in February 2022, according to sources at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The report said that Inga-Landi illegally crossed into the U.S. at Eagle Pass, Texas, in June 2021 as part of the unprecedented wave of illegal aliens pouring into the country under President Joe Biden. Inga-Landi entered the U.S. with his son, the report said, adding that they were “deemed ‘inadmissible’ by border agents because they lacked proper documentation to be in the U.S., but were released with the notice to appear in immigration court for ‘humanitarian’ reasons.” ABC, CBS, NBC evening and morning show coverage: 3 minutes, 4 seconds. On June 18, ABC’s World News Tonight delivered a 1 minute, 16 second report on the arrest. The June 18 edition of NBC Nightly News offered a full 1 minute, 42 second report on “Good Samaritans” tracking down the accused rapist. There was also a 6-second mention on the June 21, NBC Nightly News. CBS did nothing.   6. Illegal Immigrant Arrested for the Murder of Maryland Mother Rachel Morin      On June 15, Baltimore’s Fox affiliate WBFF reported:  Law enforcement have arrested Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez in Tulsa for the killing of Rachel Morin, a Harford County mother of five who was found dead near a hiking trail in August of 2023. In a press conference announcing the arrest on Saturday, Harford County Sheriff Jeffery Gahler said that Martinez-Hernandez was arrested late Friday night and booked on Saturday morning; he is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape. … Sheriff Gahler went on to say that Martinez-Hernandez is a “23-year-old citizen of El Salvador.” He said that Martinez-Hernandez crossed the border into the United States in February of 2023, and that he believes that Morin was not his first victim. “It is my understanding that this suspect, this monster, fled to the United States after the murder of a young woman in El Salvador a month earlier in January of 2023,” Sheriff Gahler said. “Once in our country, he brutally attacked a nine year old girl and her mother in a home invasion in March of 2023 in Los Angeles.” ABC, CBS, NBC evening and morning show coverage: 2 minutes, 47 seconds. On June 16, CBS’s Face the Nation host Margaret Brennan pressed Maryland Governor Wes Moore on Morin’s murder and the border crisis for 2 minutes, 21 seconds. On June 21, NBC Nightly News offered a 26-second mention. ABC did nothing.   7. Illegal Alien Who Was Deported 16 Times, Killed a 64-Year-Old Colorado Man in Vehicle Crash      On June 17, Breitbart.com reported:  An illegal alien from Mexico, deported 16 times from the United States, is accused of killing a 64-year-old man from Bailey, Colorado, in a vehicle crash. Ignacio Cruz-Mendoza, a 47-year-old illegal alien, has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, reckless driving, and driving without a commercial driver’s license in connection to the death of 64-year-old Scott Miller. According to the Colorado State Patrol, Cruz-Mendoza was driving a semi-truck for the Indio, California-based Monique Trucking company on Highway 285 near Conifer, Colorado, when the vehicle veered off the road, causing the pipe and angle iron he was carrying to spill on top of five vehicles in his path. In one of those vehicles was Miller, who was killed at the scene. Another driver in a separate vehicle suffered serious injuries as a result and is recovering at a nearby hospital. Officials with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency have since confirmed to KUSA-TV Denver that Cruz-Mendoza is an illegal alien who has been deported from the U.S. to Mexico a total of 16 times over the last two decades. Cruz-Mendoza was first deported in May 2002 after he was arrested on local charges in Oregon the month before. Since then, he has been deported and has repeatedly returned to the U.S., likely through the nation’s porous southern border. ABC, CBS, NBC evening and morning show coverage: 0 seconds.

Colbert Claims GOP Is 'Christo-Fascist,' Whitmer Implies Trump Wanted Her Killed

The emotions of CBS’s Stephen Colbert continued to fluctuate wildly as he went from panicked on Monday to hopeful on Tuesday to solemnly imploring people to vote against Donald Trump and his “Christo-fascist future” on Wednesday’s edition of The Late Show. Also on Wednesday, Colbert welcomed Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to the show to accuse Trump of wanting to have her assassinated. Like so many on the left, the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 has become shorthand for the supposed nightmare that will fall on America should Trump win: Project 2025 is an obvious and chilling blueprint for a Christo-fascist future, and Trump knows that that is toxic to voters. So he has denied any knowledge of or connection to it. But no matter how hard Trump tries to distance himself, he can't change the fact that it's run by more than 200 former officials of the Trump administration and that the GOP platform has been crafted and influenced by individuals with deep ties to Project 2025 and I just hope that once voters learn everything that Trump and his cronies stand for, they will turn out in massive numbers to vote for Joe Biden or Kamala Harris or whoever the Democrats nominate and we'll finally be able to kick Donald Trump out of our lives forever.     In the real world, Project 2025 is just Heritage’s fancy name for its quadrennial Mandate for Leadership that it releases every four years as its wish list should the Republican win the presidential election. Later in the show, Colbert promoted Whitmer’s new book, “Again, once again, the book here is True Gretch and about your life, your time in office, and one chapter explores, and this is a weird sentence to read. Explores the 2020 plot to kidnap and assassinate you over COVID restrictions. Which is something that I think we too easily forget how insane it got at the height of COVID and especially with the COVID denialism. What do you most remember about when you found out that this was happening? And how did this experience change you?”     The missing context of this is that the people who were a part of this scheme were also not necessarily fans of Trump. Additionally, some were acquitted because a jury determined that undercover FBI agents were responsible for propelling the plot forward, but naturally Whitmer wasn’t interested in that context: I also observed that the federal government had no federal strategy and that really made Donald Trump angry and that's when he started singling me out. When he called me "That woman from Michigan," that's when my Republican legislature turned on me and started suing me to take away my powers and wouldn’t extend my stay at home orders and every time Trump even mentioned Michigan, I got more death threats. There was a cause and effect and he knew it. He knew that his words incited people to action. She added that “we had threats against officeholders who were just trying to keep people safe. You know, this plot that came to be was 14 people who wanted to—who took up guns and wanted to kill a governor for telling them to wear a mask. That's not a rational reaction.” It’s not, but neither is closing off only certain sections of department stores or imposing never-ending restrictions. Her rules were so ridiculous, she herself violated them and has admitted they were nonsensical. The Michigan Supreme Court ruled her orders violated the law because, while Democrats claim the president isn’t a king, they apparently believe that the governor is a queen. Simply pointing this out at the time was in no way suggesting that Whitmer should’ve been assassinated, but it is a way to try to shame her critics into shutting up. Here is a transcript for the July 10 show: CBS The Late Show with Stephen Colbert 7/10/2024 11:58 PM ET STEPHEN COLBERT: Project 2025 is an obvious and chilling blueprint for a Christo-fascist future, and Trump knows that that is toxic to voters. … COLBERT: Hey, everybody! We're back with the author of the new book True Gretch and governor of the great state of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer. Again, once again, the book here is True Gretch and about your life, your time in office, and one chapter explores, and this is a weird sentence to read. Explores the 2020 plot to kidnap and assassinate you over COVID restrictions.  GRETCHEN WHITMER: Yeah. COLBERT: Which is something that I think we too easily forget how insane it got at the height of COVID and especially with the COVID denialism. What do you most remember about when you found out that this was happening? And how did this experience change you? WHITMER: Well, I've got to tell you, like every governor of the country, I was trying to fuel the plane while we were flying it. We were addressing a pandemic that was killing our people. We were getting misinformation out of the White House. We were told to go find your own masks and gloves and Detroit at the same time as New York City and New Orleans and Chicago was on fire early on.  Our hospitals were full. We had makeshift morgues and I was told to go find your own equipment. So, I went on national television asking for help. I also observed that the federal government had no federal strategy and that really made Donald Trump angry and that's when he started singling me out. When he mentioned the Proud Boys is in his debate, he knew what that language meant and so when we all watched January 6 happen, no one in Michigan was surprised because we saw it happening a lot earlier in our state and that's why I think it's really important that people remember we have hundreds of thousands of Americans die because the federal government couldn't figure out how to handle a pandemic and dot the federal government, but Donald Trump.  We had threats against officeholders who were just trying to keep people safe. You know, this plot that came to be was 14 people who wanted to — who took up guns and wanted to kill a governor for telling them to wear a mask. That's not a rational reaction.

JD Vance cuts straight to the heart of what animates Trump's nationalism — and it's not 'just an idea'

The National Conservatism Conference is a project of the Edmund Burke Foundation, chaired by Israeli-American philosopher Yoram Hazony. For years, NatCon has offered conservatives of different stripes and from different countries a rallying point to discuss ways of reinforcing, improving and thinking about their respective nation-states. The organizers define "National Conservatism" as "a movement of public figures, journalists, scholars, and students who understand that the past and future of conservatism are inextricably tied to the idea of the nation, to the principle of national independence, and to the revival of the unique national traditions that alone have the power to bind a people together and bring about their flourishing." The attempt earlier this year by socialist officials in Belgium to shut down a NatCon conference highlighted the perceived threat posed by speakers at these conferences — to leftist internationalism, globalism, and other schemes aimed at the erasure of borders and individual sovereign states. Some speakers ostensibly also threaten libertarian agendas. 'America is a nation. It is a group of people with a common history and a common future.' Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) revealed in an address at NatCon Wednesday the fundamental understanding underpinning his economic nationalism — an understanding that both attracted him to President Donald Trump's America First agenda and justifies the kind of protectionism that Vivek Ramaswamy criticized at the conference a day earlier. According to Vance, while America was founded "on great ideas," it is not, as some have suggested, reducible to "just an idea." "America is a nation. It is a group of people with a common history and a common future," said Vance. "One of the parts of that commonality as a people is that we do allow newcomers to this country, but we allow them on our terms, on the terms of the American citizens, and that's the way that we preserve the continuity of this project from 200 years past to hopefully 200 years in the future." The senator reflected on the generations of his family who came up in central Appalachia and others like them — "people who love this country, not because it's a good idea but because, in their bones, they know that this is their home and it will be their children's home, and they would die fighting to protect it." Vance emphasized that the people who have "fought for this country, who have built this country, who have made things in this country, and who would fight and die to protect this country if they were asked to" were not motivated to sweat, bleed, and potentially give their all for an abstraction — the idea of America — but rather for their homes, their families, and their children's future. Vance indicated that while he was initially a critic of President Donald Trump, he became a "convert" upon recognizing that Trump's America First agenda was not devoted to the protection of an idea but rather to the protection and prioritization of concrete realities, namely the American people and their physical homeland. Vance's citizen-centered nationalism accounts for his desire to secure the border, to axe immigration policies that flood the market with cheap foreign labor, to reverse the trend of de-industrialization and offshoring, and — as suggested in a recent New York Times interview — to apply "as much upward pressure on wages and as much downward pressure on the services that the people use as possible." 'There are still these weird little pockets of the old consensus that continue to bubble to the surface and continue to fight us on all of the most important questions.' Blaze News previously reported that Ramaswamy suggested at the NatCon conference that moving forward, the America First movement has the choice of embracing one of two types of nationalism: "national protectionis[m]" — what some have alternatively referred to as economic populism — or "national libertarianis[m]." He advocated for national libertarianism and intimated that Vance is partial to national protectionism. National protectionism, according to Ramaswamy, is animated by a desire to ensure that "American workers earn higher wages and American manufacturers can sell their goods for a higher price, by protecting them from the effects of foreign competition." National protectionists apparently also "believe in reforming the regulatory state to redirect its focus to helping American workers and manufacturers." In his speech Wednesday, Sen. Vance made no secret of his national protectionism, instead doubling down on the kind of commentary that has sent libertarian observers into fits of rage. Vance, who stands a good chance of becoming Trump's running mate, insisted, for instance, that America should not let China "make all of our stuff" and should instead re-industrialize America. "Even the libertarians, even the market fundamentalists — and I think we have a few in the audience, and we won't beat up on you too much," said Vance, "even they acknowledge that you can't have unlimited free trade with countries that hate you. It'd be the equivalent of allowing the Nazi Germans in 1942 to make all of our ships and missiles." "People recognize that that era has come to a close. Even the people who are generally going to disagree with us about how much to protect American industry from this point forward agree that you can't let the Chinese make all of your stuff," continued the Ohio senator. "And yet I will say that as much as we've made some great progress, there are still these weird little pockets of the old consensus that continue to bubble to the surface and continue to fight us on all of the most important questions." Vance also noted that the "real threat to American democracy is that American voters keep on voting for less immigration, and our politicians keep on rewarding us with more." He suggested that while Western elites are have been more than happy to flood "the zone with non-stop cheap labor," immigration has "made our societies poorer, less safe, less prosperous, and less advanced." Jason Miller, senior adviser for the Trump campaign, indicated Monday that the former president is poised to announce his running mate within a week's time. Vance, whose name has been raised in the past by the campaign and who reportedly received a vetting package, appears to be a top contender for the role. As of Thursday morning, Vance — whose speech appeared to resonate well with Donald Trump Jr. — was the top named pick on Polymarket. Like Blaze News?
