A Northwestern Ontario fisherman, with his dog, came face-to-face with a greenish-brown humanoid. The dog was grabbed by this creature, sustaining an ear injury.I received the following account:"This encounter is hard to explain. I was fishing in a river in Northwestern Ontario, about a mile and a half from my grandmother’s house. I had always walked there and fished from the bank, where I’d gone since I was a kid. I was down fishing with my dog (named Queenie) and was sitting and leaning against a tree. Then my bobber went down hard and my rod almost went out of my hands. I figured I had a bass or catfish. For some reason though I started following my line as if something was drawing me in. Queenie was freaking out, growling and even biting my leg trying to get me back but I kept following it as if I were in a trance.Then something broke the surface of the water in front of me, and all I could see was this torso and head of like a greenish-brown head and I saw its hand (yes a HAND) was pulling my line towards it and I was so scared but couldn’t stop as it brought me closer.Then Queenie was between us barking and snapping at it and I was able suddenly to go back towards the bank, leaving everything. I saw it grab Queenie and grabbing at my knife I cut the line which I guess broke the trance. As I struggled out of the water I saw Queenie and grabbed her and ran out of the water. I heard a weird slapping sound and a grunt and I kept running until I was almost home.I saw that Queenie was hurt, one of her ears was gone and bleeding and I finally got to the house. I was crying and threw her in the car and straight to the vet, still wet and shaking. I told him something got her and waited anxiously until he came back and said she was lucky, that he had extracted a tooth from her skull. He said it looked like an alligator tooth but I knew better. I never told my family about what happened but I knew damn well it wasn’t an alligator!" A report referencing a winged humanoid sighting in Lee County, Florida. There were either two sightings of the same winged humanoid or there were others in the area.I received the following account:"Hi. I had an encounter with a bird-like creature but I know it wasn't a bird. It looked to be a flying person. I know it sounds weird and crazy but I know what I saw. Well here's the whole story. On February 5, 2018, around 11:30 pm my older sister and her husband were taking me, my little sister, my mom, and my two nieces to eat at Denny's in a nearby town (Fort Myers, FL). As we were driving on I-75 out of nowhere, through the windshield, I saw a person with wings fly over our car. It went over two times back and forth. I got a good look. It looked like a person with wings but then again it also looked like a pterodactyl (pterosaur). My brother-in-law also saw it and agreed with me. He says it was not a bird! Well, that was my encounter with the creature.My nephew also witnessed a person-like creature. He was walking to his girlfriend's house late at night and by her neighbor's house, there are some trees. He said he saw a person/figure standing in the trees looking at him. He asked his girlfriend if she also saw it - she said that it was always there. He then started to walk closer to get a better view of it when the creature jumped off the tree onto his girlfriend's neighbor's fence causing it to make a rattling noise. The dogs started barking and then the creature flew off in front of his eyes. It then ran into his girlfriend's house scared it would come back but it didn't. My nephew's encounter happened in Lehigh Acres, FL a couple of days before my encounter happened! We have no clue as to what it is or why it would be following us?! It is very mind-boggling!" Tom Appleyard, that it is not an authority on snakes; and as no one in the office drinks liquor, none of us have had the pleasure of seeing snakes.But here is the narrative of the Lee County serpent as it appeared in last week’s Press:Col. Demere and Ervin Lowe came down last Sunday [presumably October 4], and reported having seen an immense snake swim the river about two miles from here.They say it appeared to be a great log on the water when they first saw it, but they learned it was a snake when they got to where it was, as the tail was just leaving the water on the south side of the river, and its head stood up four or five feet high, twenty yards from the river, and looked as large as a nail keg.Of course, the reptile must have been between fifty and sixty feet long, and its body looked about the size of a flour barrel. Now this looks fishy, but no one in this section would doubt the veracity of either of these gentlemen.We have since learned that the Indians have told of such a snake twenty years ago, having been seen by them in a certain swamp, and they always kept away from that swamp. About a decade ago I received a narrative from a reader who forwarded a 'werewolf' incident that occurred in and around Sarasota, Florida. The account included the following statement:"I was coming home and as I got closer to the tracks, there was this huge thing lying in the road. I thought it must have been a Mastiff or Great Dane in the road, but as I pulled up to it it didn't look like a dog I'd ever seen. It was hairy, it's head and nose was twice the size of a dog - the body wasn't a dog, just dog-like, but much, much bigger. It was all over the place, there was an arm on the road! Not dog a human arm."In today's report, I received the description of two cryptid canine sightings by two different people at two different locations in Florida. Both of the witnesses were brothers! Tell me what you think:"In the summer of 2018, my oldest son and his wife were traveling from Daytona Beach on Highway 100 towards Ocala. They were driving a work van with trailer going 60 mph around 12 midnight. There were no lights on the road but their headlights illuminated a creature standing on the side of the road looking across towards the other side of the road. As they were approching it never looked into the headlights but kept staring across the road.The description was a bipedal wolf-like creature that appeared to be predominately bare-skinned, though there was hair on some parts of the body. They described the face as 'evil' with visible teeth. It was very tall. My son stated that it was everybit as tall as the van he was driving. They continued on their way, praying that they would not break down.My youngest son was driving home along the same route he did every night. This was in Polk County, Fl. It was around 1:30 am. There’s something about Donald Trump winning an election that drives journalists crazy. The National Press Club in the nation’s capital is an epicenter of media arrogance, as anyone could see from its Nov. 21 “Fourth Estate Award Gala,” in which they proclaimed they were honoring the “fearless pursuit of truth.” But as always, the “truth” is expected to lead to “justice,” which in their view is the opposite of Trump winning the presidency again. Trump’s victory demoralized journalists. They felt like 76.8 million Americans completely ignored their years and years or besmirching Trump as a fascist threat to democracy. Axios.com co-founder Jim VandeHei uncorked a temper tantrum at the awards ceremony as he boasted about being in a “war for truth, for freedom.” Translation: For the Democrats. He can’t stand anyone attacking them for making “fake news” or for, ahem, engaging in nonstop Democratic Party talking points. Joy! Vibes! Brat! And all that. “I’m not going to sugarcoat it, like, everything we do is under fire,” VandeHei complained. “Elon Musk sits on Twitter every day, or X today, saying, like, ‘We are the media, you are the media.’ My message to Elon Musk is: Bulls–t! You’re not the media. You having—you having a blue check mark, a Twitter handle, and 300 words of cleverness doesn’t make you a reporter!” This is a little funny, since Axios.com was touted by the National Press Club for its “smart brevity.” When it writes little bursts of text for busy, governing-elite people with low attention spans, they’re still hailed as “smart.” At 1 a.m. on election night, as it became apparent Trump would win again, Musk tweeted, “You are the media.” This enraged VandeHei because journalism is an elite profession for highly educated people who educate the masses, even if the masses don’t accept their lessons. VandeHei lamented, “Being a reporter’s hard. Really hard. You have to care. You have to do the hard work. You have to get up every single day and say, ‘I want to get to the closest approximation of the truth without any fear, without any favoritism.’ You don’t do that by popping off on Twitter. You don’t do that by having an opinion. You do it by doing the hard work.” VandeHei seems to forget that part of the reason people don’t trust journalists is they show a lot of favoritism. They fear being seen as too centrist by their colleagues. They spend large amounts of time popping off on Twitter and opinionating on cable television. Opinions are more highly prized than investigations. Investigative reporters aren’t making Scarborough money. Naturally, “Morning Joe” played some of VandeHei’s tantrum, and Joe Scarborough asked for a “slow clap,” like VandeHei was Tom Cruise at the end of “Top Gun.” Scarborough oafishly equated all media criticism with lying: “It continues to need to be said when all of the garbage that’s flying around on social media, lying about reporters, lying about the hard work they do, lying about the hard work editors do, lying about everything up and down about not only their alternative set of facts, but alternative set of facts about what people like you do.” Did he produce any examples? No. Because ovations and overbroad opinionating are all that matters. If “smart” journalists want to figure out the election results, they can’t conclude that every media criticism is a lie. They have to engage with critiques and stop thinking they are the most heroic and crucial actors in politics—that democracy dies when people unsubscribe. They need to talk less and listen more. If you’re like me, the mere sight of a house centipede makes you a little jumpy! House centipedes (Scutigera coleoptrata) are indeed very unique in appearance but, (if I’m being completely honest) they are also a little creepy looking. However, knowing the house centipede is not a direct threat to humans makes me feel a little better. We are not on their menu…thank goodness! Still, we try to think of ways to deter centipedes in the most natural way possible. Deter Centipedes | Natural Ways To Keep Them Away It is important to note, however, that the only way you could get stung by a house centipede is if you were to handle one or possibly step on one. If stung, you would end up with a tiny red bump. If you are sensitive (or allergic) to insect stings in general then medical attention may be needed. Let’s get to know the house centipede a little better. What does a house centipede look like? Reddish brown (sometimes tan) in color. Long, narrow, and flat. It has many legs on both sides of its body. They have long antennae. Most house centipedes are around 2 inches long but, are known to reach lengths of 6 inches. Where are house centipedes most likely to be found? Outdoors: They can be found under rocks and underneath logs and/or wooden boards. Indoors: They can be found on baseboards, around doorways and window sills, garages, and basements. It is possible to spot them crawling along your floor as they travel from point A to point B, for example. What does their diet consist of? House centipedes are, for the most part, nocturnal hunters. They kill their prey by injecting venom usually behind their prey’s head. Their prey mainly consists of: Spiders and other insects Earthworms Snails Now, let’s talk natural deterrent against the house centipede. While they do not pose a threat to humans, it is a little unsettling to run across one inside your home. The natural deterrents I’ll be covering in today’s article will include: Essential oils Diatomaceous earth (dry deterrent and spray deterrent) Mint Soap spray I will also cover tips on home maintenance to keep the house centipedes at bay. Let’s get started! Essential Oils Centipedes have a strong sense of smell due to having sensitive antennae. With that being said, there are scents that they can’t stand and will stay clear of. Vanilla and tea tree oil will deter centipedes, however, tea tree essential oil is the most successful of the two oils. Here is a great DIY tea tree essential oil recipe, with instructions, that many have had great success with. Combine 6 ounces of water and 25 drops of tea tree essential into a spray bottle Mix well Should be done once a week to keep the house centipede away Diatomaceous Earth (Dry Deterrent and Spray Deterrent) The way diatomaceous earth works as far as insect deterrent/repellent in general is the DE will leave tiny cuts on the body of most small to medium sized insects as the insect crawls across the DE. Moisture will then escape the insect’s body, which in turn will lead the insect to its eventual death. Dry deterrent method: Sprinkle DE all around the outside of your home and/or any of their entry points. Spray Deterrent: One reason some folks prefer to use a DE spray instead of the dry DE method is due to the fact that the ‘dust’ from the DE can be harmful to your lungs if inhaled. Here is a great DIY diatomaceous earth spray recipe, with instructions. Combine 1 gallon of water and 2-4 tablespoons of DE Mix well The spray can be applied to plants and also around your home and/or any of their entry points. Important: I recommend using food grade diatomaceous earth for both the dry and spray deterrent methods, as it is safe around pets and humans and still helps deter centipedes. Mint Mint is among the most effective when it comes to insect deterrent! More and more people are using mint as an all natural way to repel insects…including centipedes! Centipedes hate the smell of mint. I suggest planting mint around your home. Because mint is a fast growing plant and can become invasive due to that fact, I would suggest planting your mint plants in pots instead of your flower beds. This actually may work to your advantage, as you can move your mint plants around as you learn their exact entry points to your home. Check out my previous article, Plants That Repel Insects and Pests, to learn more about what plants could be great deterrents for you this season! Soap Spray Much like diatomaceous earth, soap will dry out most insects it comes in contact with. Here is a great soap spray recipe, with instructions. Combine 1 gallon of warm water with 2 tablespoons of liquid dawn dish soap (regular blue dawn liquid soap will work the best) Add mixture to a spray bottle and shake very well. Spray this mixture inside your home and spray into dark crevices, corners, or any known entry point. The spray will start to dry the centipede out as soon it comes in contact with the soap spray. Tip: This exact spray recipe will also kill fleas on contact! You can also use liquid dawn soap (regular blue dawn) to bathe your dogs and cats as a completely safe alternative to flea shampoo. The fleas will die on contact! I found this gem of information 7 years ago when I rescued a 4 week old kitten that was infested with fleas. He was way too young for regular flea shampoo so, I bathed him in liquid dawn soap (again, regular blue dawn) and it killed every flea on contact which (again) was completely safe for the little guy. It saved his life! “Taz” now lives a happy and content life…with me! A Couple Of Tips On Home Maintenance And How To Deter Centipedes Here are a couple of  great tips on things you can do around your home, in addition to the deterrents, to help ensure that the house centipede stays away! Since these little guys love cool and moist air, a popular place for them is in your basement and/or bathrooms. If you find that you have a centipede problem concentrated in these areas of your home, consider placing a dehumidifier in these areas to help bring the moisture levels down a bit. Keeping all food containers and garbage cans sealed will help bring the centipede population down. Centipedes are not attracted to food and trash but, the insects that are attracted to food and trash are on the centipede dinner menu! But who could possibly be the worst abuser of the public than Alec Baldwin, who shot a woman dead and is at the rock bottom of his appeal as a movie star? Shooter McBaldwin showed up at the Turin Film Festival in Italy to say at least half of America are "very uninformed about reality." Because in the aura of his own presumed brilliance, Baldwin can't seem to locate any reasons people would be ready to turn on the Democrats after four years: start with dramatic inflation, the Afghanistan withdrawal fiasco, and the costs of mass importation (and the violent crime that came with it). Those are "Fox News issues," so they're automatically discredited as legitimate issues. Baldwin and Stone ought to make a bitter movie together -- for European audiences, about how stupid Americans are. It probably wouldn't sell that many tickets in America. Or maybe it would -- to supercilious leftists who think they're so much smarter than the rest of us. 

Kamala Harris' first attempt to secure the White House was a colossal failure. While struggling to break out of the single digits in early state polls, Harris learned that a majority of Democrats in her home state of California wanted her to call it quits. She obliged them in December 2019. Years later, she supplanted the candidate who single-handedly salvaged her career only to suffer an even more humiliating defeat, burning through over $1.5 billion for the privilege of losing in the Electoral College by a landslide. Apparently, the 60-year-old leftist thinks the next time might be different and has signaled an interest in trying again. On Tuesday, Democratic strategist Theryn Bond begged the vice president to throw in the towel on her presidential ambitions. Last week, a Morning Consult survey indicated that 43% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents would now vote for Harris in a presidential primary of the kind effectively voided by the party earlier this year. A recent Echelon Insights snap poll indicated that 41% of respondents would vote for Harris in a Democratic primary held today. 'Please don't.' Politico reported Monday that Harris, likely aware that a great many Democrats are willing to overlook her repeated failures, "has been instructing advisers and allies to keep her options open — whether for a possible 2028 presidential run, or even to run for governor in her home state of California in two years." Harris has repeatedly told reporters, "I am staying in the fight." Five individuals in the vice president's inner circle who spoke to Politico on the condition of anonymity suggested that Harris will think over her political options with family members over the Christmas season. On Tuesday, within hours of Democrats releasing a bizarre and widely ridiculed video of Harris, Theryn Bond urged the vice president on Newsmax's "National Report" "not to run again in 2028. Please don't." 'If they're dumb enough to run her again, I can't wait.' "I can't really speak for governor of California. Californians seem to support her significantly. We haven't yet been able to measure what that support looks like after this current run she just had," said Bond. The Democratic strategist suggested that a gubernatorial bid might "make sense for her to consider, but another shot at the presidency — I hope she doesn't. And if she is relying on those same advisers that advised her this cycle, that's not who I would listen to." Conservative political strategist Luke Ball largely agreed with Bond's assessment, noting that in California, Harris would have "high name ID, but if she ran anywhere else in the country, I don't think she'd be able to get elected to dog catcher." Conservative filmmaker Robby Starbuck noted, "Wow. This Echelon poll asked Democrats who they'd vote for in the 2028 Presidential primary and 41% said Kamala Harris. If they're dumb enough to run her again, I can't wait." Conservative commentator Michael Knowles said that Harris, "who lost in a massive landslide, who allowed the Republican to win the popular vote for the first time in 20 years — the Republican who we had all been told was Hitler incarnate, who was running for an implausible nonconsecutive second term — that woman wants to run again in 2028? I strongly encourage this. I might donate to the Kamala primary campaign." A Democratic strategist granted anonymity by Politico said, "I can't conceivably imagine the party turning to her a second time." Speculation now abounds about the possibility that another failed Democratic presidential candidate might try her luck again in 2028. After the the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported Wednesday that Bill and Hillary Clinton will give speeches in Little Rock in December to help mark the Clinton Presidential Center's 20th anniversary, senior Trump adviser Jason Miller responded, "SHE'S RUNNING!"
