Fans have been eagerly anticipating the final Black Sabbath show ever since it was announced as Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell performance. The final show would be the moment the Prince of Darkness takes a bow. Many hoped to see him play a full set, which would be a fitting farewell to his decades in heavy metal.
However, Ozzy has now shared disappointing and heartbreaking news about the upcoming event. The 76-year-old rocker revealed that he won’t be playing a full set with Black Sabbath. Instead, he will only participate in select moments throughout the show.

Ozzy made the announcement on his Ozzy Speaks segment on SiriusXM’s Ozzy’s Boneyard. While he expressed excitement about the concert, he admitted that he wouldn’t be able to perform an entire set. “I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable,” he shared. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2003, and the disease severely affected his mobility.
He explained that while most people can get out of bed with ease, he struggles to find balance each morning. . His last full performance was on December 31, 2018, during the final date of his No More Tours tour. Since then, health complications have kept him from delivering a complete live set. Fans are hoping that despite his health challenges he would be able to deliver.

Sharon Osbourne Speaks on his health and final show
Ozzy’s wife, Sharon Osbourne has no fears in his ability to deliver an excellent performance. She recently gave more information about his condition. In an interview with The Sun, she revealed that his Parkinson’s has progressed to the point where he can no longer walk. “It affects different parts of the body, and it’s affected his legs,” she explained. She however, assured fans that Ozzy’s voice is as good as it’s ever been.
The upcoming concert will be held at Birmingham’s Villa Park, where Black Sabbath will reunite for one final time. The event will also feature performances from Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, and more. Proceeds from the show will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
