Joy Behar claimed on Thursday that Americans had saved France — and saved the world — during World War II only to throw it “down the toilet” if they elected former President Donald Trump to a second term. Behar joined twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton — who lost to Trump in 2016 — in comparing the very real threat posed by Adolf Hitler and his Nazi regime to another Trump presidency. Whoopi Goldberg kicked off the conversation on “The View,” commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day by lamenting the fact that the younger generations do not understand what really happened during World War II. Singer Miley Cyrus said she’s not sure she ever wants to become a mom but mentioned that she considers her fans to be stand-ins for children anyway. The 31-year-old celebrity made the remarks during a recent interview with W Magazine released this week.  “I love being an adult,” Cyrus told the outlet. “I have a rule that I don’t look up or don’t look down at anyone. I just look, which allows me the clarity to see the world for what it really is and people for who they really are.” She added, “I look at myself almost every day in the mirror and I say, ‘I am a woman.’ I’m 31 now, and I still don’t know if I want kids or not. I feel like my fans kind of are my kids in some way. I’ve heard Dolly [Parton] say that too, because she didn’t have kids.” The “Flowers” singer mentioned at another point in the conversation how other artists frequently refer to themselves as “mother” in relation to their fans and that the fans say the same.  “The word ‘mother’ is the most all-encompassing word,” she said. “The mother can be [drag queen] RuPaul; the mother can be Beyoncé. In 2019, she told Elle that she wasn’t happy with how women were pressured to have kids.  “We’re expected to keep the planet populated. And when that isn’t a part of our plan or our purpose, there is so much judgment and anger that they try to make and change laws to force it upon you — even if you become pregnant in a violent situation,” Cyrus said. “If you don’t want children, people feel sorry for you, like you’re a cold, heartless b*tch who’s not capable of love.” She continued, “We’ve been doing the same thing to the earth that we do to women. We just take and take and expect it to keep producing. And it’s exhausted. It can’t produce. We’re getting handed a piece-of-shit planet, and I refuse to hand that down to my child,” she said.  “Until I feel like my kid would live on an earth with fish in the water, I’m not bringing in another person to deal with that.”
