BLM’s Leaders Used Charitable Funds To Enrich Themselves And Their Families, New Documents Show

Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLMGNF) has paid out millions in contracts to insiders, newly released tax documents show. The nation’s largest BLM organization approved lucrative contracts to firms owned by members of the organization’s leadership and their family members between July 2022 and June 2023, tax filings show. The shuffling of charitable funds to private companies owned by interested parties raises considerable ethical concerns given the lack of oversight and the...

DOJ Won’t Prosecute AG Merrick Garland for Withholding Biden–Hur Interview Audio

The Justice Department said Friday it will not prosecute Merrick Garland on contempt-of-Congress charges, two days after House Republicans voted to hold the attorney general in contempt for refusing to turn over the audio from President Joe Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur. In a letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday, the DOJ said the refusal to provide the audio “did not constitute a crime.” House lawmakers voted 216–207 on the Garland contempt resolution on...

Hospice nurses reveal what they say are people's biggest regrets before death

Death and dying isn't a pleasant subject to talk about, though there's likely not one living person who has not been touched by death in some way. But the finality of death makes people wonder if people have any regrets from their life that they wish they could do over.Author, Matthew Kelly decided to ask hospice nurses what they've heard patients reveal regretting before they died. The list was fairly long but also heartbreakingly simple. Many people spend their entire lives trying to figure out how to make more money in order to feel financially secure enough to vacation regularly or even retire. Of course there would be some regrets around working too much, but that regret only made the list once. There are 23 other regrets people seemed to share and we'll get into them below. One of the first ones on the list is, "I wish I had more courage to just be my self." Oof. That stings a bit. People spend so much time trying to make sure they're well liked by others that it seems that some people forget to focus on just being themselves. People may hide their true selves for a multitude of reasons such as safety or fear of abandonment depending on what part of their identity they were hiding. Another common regret is, "I wish I had taken more risks." Risks can be hard when you have other people depending on you for survival. It makes sense that some people might look back on their life and think of all the risks they didn't take, whether it be due to anxiety or security.Listen to the whole list below:So many regrets on the list are things that people can start doing now. Like wishing to love more or taking better care of themselves. It's never too late to start caring for yourself or being outwardly more loving. In fact, nothing on the list is overly complex. They're all heartbreakingly simple things that people have the ability to do before their time comes.Maybe this list will inspire others to make a few tweaks in their life to work towards doing these things while they still can. Maybe it will cause people to realize they're already well on their way to not having any of the regrets listed. Either way, it's serves as a reminder to live life in the best way that you can while still being true to yourself.

Could Hunter’s Troubles Cause Biden to Rethink His Campaign?

Could Hunter’s Troubles Cause Biden to Rethink His Campaign?

We know that President Joe Biden is extremely close to his son, Hunter Biden. So close, in fact, that he calls him almost every day. That means that the news of Hunter’s conviction this week on three felony gun charges is likely hitting the president hard. Just how hard? Early on in his presidency, Biden seriously considered not running for reelection as a result of the burden his presidency was placing on Hunter, according to Politico. At the time, Hunter was facing enormous pressure due to the accusations that he had sold influence with the Biden family to foreign corporations. Moreover, there was additional criticism over his nascent art career, which seemed to be premised on his relationship with the president. Apparently, Biden only decided to seek reelection after his family — especially Hunter — urged him to do so. Biden likely blames himself for Hunter’s conviction, as numerous left-wing outlets have argued that prosecutors were aggressive in their charges against Hunter so as to avoid the appearance that the president’s son was getting special treatment. Given that the president felt terrible that his son was in the spotlight because of his presidency, the possibility that Hunter was criminally convicted because of his presidency must make Biden feel truly awful. There is also reporting that Biden is very emotionally affected by the trial and Hunter’s conviction. According to Politico, Biden was “consumed by worries over the trial of Hunter Biden.” Upon Hunter’s conviction, he emotionally embraced his son during a photo op at an airport. Axios has additionally reported that Biden gravely fears that the prosecution will cause Hunter to relapse. Could all of this cause Biden to second-guess putting his family through another term in office? Perhaps. But it could also give Biden an incentive to get reelected. Although Biden said at the Group of Seven summit that he would not pardon Hunter or commute his sentence, he still could do so. After reelection, there would be very few repercussions. U-turn Signs Removed For Targeting LGBTQ+ Community

U-turn Signs Removed For Targeting LGBTQ+ Community

The Silver Lake community in Los Angeles removed one of its last U-turn signs this week, citing its history of targeting LGBTQ+ people. Eliminating the signs was one of the city’s activities to celebrate Pride Month.  “No U-Turn” and “No Cruising” signs were installed in Silver Lake in 1997 in response to complaints of gay men who lurked around gay bars for intimacy. The neighborhood council voted to remove the “No Cruising” signs in 2011, although some U-turn signs remained.  A petition by the council stated that the signs “represent an era of anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiments, and do not reflect the current values of our neighborhood.” The group also requested that the signs be donated to the ONE Archives at the University of Southern California libraries, one of the largest repositories of LGBTQ+ materials in the world.  “When you learn the history of it, and you realize that these were used to profile gay people, it’s so important that we have these removed,” Maebe A. Girl, Silver Lake Neighborhood Councilmember, said.  LA City just took down a couple “no U-turn” traffic signs in Silver Lake, California because the signs are anti-LGBTQ. You literally can’t make this up. The American Spectator’s Paul Kengor Analyzes Karl Marx on Jordan Peterson’s Podcast

Understanding Karl Marx’s disturbing background unveils communism’s true colors. In a new interview with Daily Wire host Jordan Peterson, American Spectator editor Paul Kengor details Marx’s connection to Satanism and the impact it had on his life and beliefs. The interview delves into Kengor’s findings in his book The Devil and Karl Marx: Communism’s Long March of Death, Deception, and Infiltration. Peterson and Kengor analyze Marx’s life, raising the question of his affiliation with Satanism. This extensive dive into Marx’s ideological beginnings offers a clearer understanding of his worldview. (READ MORE: AI Is Being Used in a New Way: To Preserve the Stories of Gulag Survivors) Before his infamous economic framework, Marx wrote poetry that invoked and glorified the Devil. Kengor offers an insight into Marx’s favorite line, which comes from Mephistopheles, a Faustian literary demon who states that “everything that exists deserves to perish.”  “Why is an atheist … centered on the analysis and identification with religious tropes?” Peterson asks Kengor. Peterson wrestles with the thought of claiming Marx to be an “atheist” despite his background being flooded with religious undertones. Kengor explains that Marx’s birthplace was a devout religious city, and he grew up primarily Christian until college. (READ MORE: The Spectacle Ep. 109: Will Communist Venezuela Attack Free Guyana Just as Scott McKay Predicted?) In further discussion on Marx’s turn towards atheism, Kengor suspects that Marx’s dark ideology was influenced by his professor Bruno Bauer, an open anti-semite. Bauer and Marx started an “annals of atheism” before Bauer was fired from the University of Bonn. Peterson highlights the characteristic of Satan as “usurping” intellect and juxtaposes it with Marx’s life. “Everything around [Marx] — including his family, his friends — everything was sacrificed to the glorification of his intellect,” Peterson said.  Peterson and Kengor analyze the state of Marxism and the influence communism has had on history up to today. “Marx was all about tearing down the traditional order …. Communism calls for the abolition of the present state of things,” Kengor said. (READ MORE: Cannibalism Is the Left’s Latest Trend) Kengor and Peterson expand and disprove the critical quote of communism — that religion is the “opium of the people.” Peterson observes that for religion to be the “opium” of the masses, it would be suggested that religions such as Christianity would simply offer good things and rewards. However, Peterson states that this is contrary to the reality of religion but rather the symptom of the Left.  You can watch the invigorating discussion on Marx between Peterson and Kengor on YouTube.
