Mom Of 8, ‘Ballerina Farm’ Founder Defends Her Life Choices, Marriage After Scathing Expose

Social media influencer Hannah Neeleman, better known by her social handle and business name Ballerina Farm, was a polarizing figure even before the interview that made her go viral. Critics saw her as a shackled housewife popping out kids when she could have been dancing at Juilliard. But even fans of the so-called “trad-wife life” took issue with Neeleman’s brand of homesteading, claiming she was too beautiful, too curated, and most of all, too staged. They couldn’t help but point out how Neeleman’s husband was a literal billionaire (son of David Neeleman, who founded multiple airlines including JetBlue) so obviously, this was all simple for her. They accused the Instagram star of cosplaying farm wife life and painting an unrealistic portrait of hard work. Neeleman had already gone viral when she competed in the Mrs. World pageant just 12 days after giving birth to her eighth child, a feat she accomplished without pain medication and at home in bed. Photos and video clips of her competing make it clear why so many followers take issue with her – even two weeks postpartum, the Instagram star is stunning. Jealousy is common, especially on social media. Then, the interview came out. U.K.-based outlet The Times published a lengthy profile after writer Megan Agnew visited the famous Utah farmstead and got to experience the beauty of Neeleman, Mormon mom of eight, firsthand. But then Agnew decided to make the influencer’s husband Daniel sound like her captor rather than her life partner. She openly lamented Neeleman’s decision to scale back on her career ambitions and devote herself to making her home and raising kids. “Is this an empowering new model of womanhood — or a hammer blow for feminism?” the writer wondered. “My goal was New York City. I left home at 17 and I was so excited to get there, I just loved that energy. And I was going to be a ballerina. I was a good ballerina,” Neeleman told Agnew during the interview. “But I knew that when I started to have kids my life would start to look different.” Courtesy: BallerinaFarm.com Agnew made her disdain for Neeleman’s husband and family clear. “I can’t, it seems, get an answer out of Neeleman without her being corrected, interrupted or answered for by either her husband or a child. Usually I am doing battle with steely Hollywood publicists; today I am up against an army of toddlers who all want their mum and a husband who thinks he knows better,” she wrote in the piece. One viral line from the article quotes Neeleman as saying, “‘Our first few years of marriage were really hard, we sacrificed a lot. But we did have this vision, this dream and —’” The interviewer noted how Daniel “interrupts” to say, “We still do.” The passage continued, “What kind of sacrifices, I ask her. ‘Well, I gave up dance, which was hard. You give up a piece of yourself. And Daniel gave up his career ambitions.’” Reactions to the article were so strong that Agnew wrote another follow-up piece a few days later responding to her expose on “the queen of the internet ‘trad wives’” and resulting commotion. The interviewer said Neeleman had “become an avatar through which people hotly debate motherhood, womanhood and freedom to choose either.” Every post shared on the Ballerina Farm social accounts – whether it’s a video of her making pasta from scratch, or churning her own ice cream – has a fair amount of negative comments alongside the gushing support and requests for recipes. Neeleman doesn’t often address the haters. But in the case of The Times article, she did come to her own defense. She shared her thoughts in an Instagram clip shared on July 31. “A couple of weeks ago, we had a reporter come into our home to learn more about our family and business,” Neeleman said in the video. “We thought the interview went really well,” she continued. “We were taken [aback] however, when we saw the printed article — which shocked us, and shocked the world by it being an attack on my family and my marriage.” “That couldn’t be further from the truth … which leads me to believe that the angle taken was predetermined,” Neeleman said of the piece. “Together, we have built a business from scratch. We’ve brought eight children into this world and have prioritized our marriage all along the way. We are co-parents, co-CEOs, co-diaper changers, kitchen cleaners and decision makers.” In another post shared the same day, the beauty queen once again got personal.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Hannah @Ballerina Farm (@ballerinafarm) “Everyday I share a glimpse into our rural farm and family life here in the mountains of northern Utah,” she wrote. “I wear many hats–mom, wife, cook, business owner, content creator, lover of God and all things butter. For long time followers and those just joining the journey, I wanted to take the opportunity to tell you our story in my own words.  My time before marriage, before kids, before I even dreamt of creating Ballerina Farm.” Neeleman encouraged followers to read more of her story on the About Us page of the official Ballerina Farms website, where the influencer discussed growing up in Utah as one of nine children as her parents ran a small flower shop. “Cash was tight, entrepreneurial spirit was thick, and we worked hard to make ends meet,” she wrote. “Looking back now, I realize I was raised in a small business training incubator. A front line view of how business works.” “With the flower shop being in retail I learned all about the seasonalities of cash flow, the importance of a good customer experience, and the value of great employees,” Neeleman continued. She called her marriage to Daniel the “best decision” she ever made and gushed about having her first child, too. “Motherhood was my new dream.  God was guiding me, as He always had,” she wrote. As for shifting her priorities from prima ballerina to family life, Neeleman said she has no regrets. “We started chasing after our new list of dreams. The channel is an expression of my real life. It is beautiful, rewarding and I get to do it with my family. We have many dreams still to accomplish and I can’t wait to see what the future holds,” she concluded.

Biden’s Schedule For The Week Includes 2 Phone Calls And 1 Meeting Before He Leaves For His Beach House

President Joe Biden’s schedule for the week of August 4-10 was noticeably empty once again as the 81-year-old commander-in-chief’s biggest events were two phone calls and one meeting with the 2023 World Series-winning Texas Rangers. Biden, who dropped out of the 2024 race last month but insisted he maintains the mental and physical capacity to remain as president, talked over the phone with King Abdullah of Jordan on Monday before flying from his Delaware home to the White House, according to his public schedule. The president’s next big events of the week are scheduled for Thursday afternoon, when he will call Hawaii Democratic Gov. Josh Green and Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen “to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the tragic Maui wildfires and those who lost their lives.” Later on Thursday, Biden will meet with the Texas Rangers at the White House “to celebrate their 2023 World Series championship season.” The president and first lady, Jill Biden, will depart the White House on Thursday night for their beach home in Rehoboth, Delaware. WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘AM I RACIST?’ — A MATT WALSH COMEDY ON DEI Biden’s light schedule is in the middle of the U.S. facing crises on multiple fronts over the past two weeks, including escalations in the Middle East and a stock market scare. After Israel’s killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh last week, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered direct strikes on the U.S. ally. Iranian-backed terrorists also attacked a base in Iraq, injuring several U.S. personnel. The president was briefed on Iran’s threat earlier this week in the Situation Room, but he has not given a press conference or addressed the American people since the escalation. Biden’s empty schedule was pointed out on X by RealClearPolitics co-founder and President Tom Bevan, who wrote, “Biden’s schedule this week is truly absurd. 1 phone call on Monday. Nothing Tuesday or Wednesday. 1 phone call and a ceremony on Thursday & then off to the beach house.” “Biden is the leader of the free world working 10 hours a week,” Bevan added. Cate Blanchett Claims She Didn’t Make Any Money On ‘Lord Of The Rings’: ‘I Basically Got Free Sandwiches’

Actress Cate Blanchett said she didn’t get paid much for her work in “Lord of the Rings” despite the franchise pulling in more than $2.9 billion globally.  The 55-year-old discussed her paycheck during a conversation with Andy Cohen on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” on Tuesday night.  “What film have you done that’s given you the biggest paycheck?” the TV host asked. Cohen speculated that Blanchett’s highest payday must have come from Peter Jackson’s massively popular movies. The actress played Galadriel, a royal elf with magical powers, in the film trilogy.  How much money did Cate Blanchett make from Lord of the Rings? #WWHL pic.twitter.com/QDsPlFs5il — Watch What Happens Live! (@BravoWWHL) August 8, 2024 “Are you kidding me?” Blanchett said when the host guessed that “LOTR” made her the most money. “No, no one got paid anything to do that movie.” Cohen pressed the issue, inquiring if she “got a piece of the backend.” Blanchett replied, “No! That was way before any of that. No, nothing.” “I wanted to work with the guy who made ‘Braindead,’” she said of film director Jackson and her decision to do the film. Blanchett again referenced her allegedly low pay, saying, “I basically got free sandwiches, and I got to keep my [elf] ears.”  “Women don’t get paid much as you think they do,” the actress told Cohen. WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘AM I RACIST?’ — A MATT WALSH COMEDY ON DEI Last year, “Lord of the Rings” actor Orlando Bloom told Howard Stern that he only earned $175,000 working on all three movies and playing Legolas, one of the main characters in the trilogy.  “Nothing, nothing, I got nothing. $175,000 that’s what I got,” Bloom said, adding that the trilogy paid him in name recognition instead. “Listen, greatest gift of my life, are you kidding me,” the actor told Stern. “And you’d do it again for half the money.” Blanchett faced criticism earlier this year for referring to herself as “middle class.”  “I’m white, I’m privileged, I’m middle class, and I think, you know, one can be accused of having a bit of a white savior complex, but to be perfectly honest, my interaction with the refugees in the field and also in resettled environments has totally changed my perspective on the world,” the actress said in May, as The Daily Wire previously reported.

Dolphin Crashes News Broadcast After Hurricane Debby

In the aftermath of a hurricane, life can look pretty different for a while. For some, this looks like attempting to paddleboard to work. Then there are those who nearly have their job interrupted by an aquatic creature. That’s exactly what happened to a Florida news broadcaster when a dolphin “crashed” his update on local flooding. At that point, a significant amount of water was still sticking around, inviting creatures of all kinds to get closer to land. But animals weren’t at all the focus of Trevor Sochocki’s live report. So, while he continued with the broadcast as normal, viewers were focused on the dolphin stopping by to say “hello!” In fact, Trevor didn’t even react to the adorable animal passing by him. Watch this wholesome moment for yourself in the video below! @tdgyerick Dolphin makes surprise appearance during Tropical Storm Debby live report #Dolphin #makes #surprise #appearance #during #Tropical #Storm #Debby #live #report #videoviral #viral #donal #trump #joe #biden #foryoupage #fyp #viral #omg #sad #scared #wow #mexico #girls #noticas #fy #crazy #omg #sad #mlb #nba #nfl #nhl #trending #crazy #president #BREAKING #Outfitinspo #kundal #Haul #mrbeast #joebiden #katieledecky #politics #hemipower #actiontakers #jonstewart #wolverine #donaldtrump #demonslayer #3x3basketball #robloxfyp #hughjackman #icespice #theboys #outfit #simonebiles #trump2024 #CollegeFootball #livefully #katieledecky #amp #deadpool #Summer #marvel #HouseOfTheDragon #kimetsunoyaiba #headphonechallenge #kny #republican #miniscubatank #satire ♬ original sound – DE OTRO MUND “And this is what residents should be watching out for,” Trevor said, aligning perfectly with the dolphin’s first appearance. Next, Trevor invited viewers to look to the other side… which is the exact side the dolphin was swimming toward. Despite the perfect timing, it’s unclear if Trevor even noticed the dolphin. So, we’re simply left to wonder: Did he actually not notice or is he simply an expert at remaining focused on the job? Dolphin Crashes Florida News Broadcast, Distracting Viewers “I couldn’t be a cameraman. I’ll be like, “Look look behind you!'” one person shared in the comment section, with another adding, “Dolphin was like, ‘Might take a vacation [on] land while I can.'” “I would have lost my train of thought and been like ‘Aw!!! A dolphin!!! Did you see that dolphin?'” a third person admitted. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here!
