'I Miss Him Already': Joy Gives Ode To Biden, Blames Musk For World Hunger

The View’s Joy Behar gave an ode to President Joe Biden on ABC’s Thursday program after his farewell address to the nation on Wednesday night by claiming that “I miss him already.” She also echoed his “oligarchs” talking point by going full socialist crank by blaming Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos for world hunger. Behar began her tribute to Biden, “I miss him already. I miss him. He's a good person. You know, he spent the last 50 years caring about the country. This other one spent 50 years scamming everybody, you know, and trying to stay out of jail. You know who I'm talking about. You know, I really miss Biden. I feel like we were safe, like I didn't have to worry everything was going to blow up—I could live my life while he was there.”     While Behar may not have had to worry about anything, those who are not as fortunate to have the salary of an ABC daytime talk show host would beg to differ after years of inflation. Ironically, Behar then turned her ire to rich, but only those close to Trump, “Now, every day I wake up and worry what is this guy going to do next and these oligarchs... They need to start showing their moneys out, these guys, Bezos and what’s his name—” After fellow host Sara Haines chimed in, “They do for Trump,” Behar rolled on, “Musk. They give it to Trump. Do they think that they're going to live forever, these people. Everybody dies. I hate to break it to them, but you are not going to live forever. According to the World Food Program, we could end world hunger by 2030 with $40 billion. That's all it will take, and he, Elon Musk, his network grew by $170 billion in the month after the election.” Whoopi Goldberg agreed, “Which is really kind of sad. Somebody said to me yesterday, why do you think they haven't given anything to California? I mean, there are all—people are, you know, going out of their way to do stuff and I was looking to see if—and I didn't see anything. Maybe I'm wrong.” Behar was honest enough to concede that was incorrect but still sought to downplay the “oligarchs” contributions, “[Mark] Zuckerberg gave 2 million to wildfires. He's worth 200 billion. He gave 2 million. That's like $5 to me.” Alyssa Farah Griffin also made sure to add, “Elon Musk did donate Starlink, so people who are left offline were able to access internet and get communications and Jeff Bezos, I will argue for his flaws is incredibly charitable. He and his wife have a ton of foundations that deal with hunger and those things.” It should be noted the WFP says $40 billion is needed per year, but Behar made it seem like all that is needed was a one-time donation from Bezos or Musk. There is also the basic idea that Bezos's or Musk’s net worth is not the same thing as the amount of money in their bank accounts. Here is a transcript for the January 16 show: ABC The View 11:16 AM ET 1/16/2025 JOY BEHAR: I miss him already. I miss him. He's a good person. You know, he spent the last 50 years caring about the country. This other one spent 50 years scamming everybody, you know, and trying to stay out of jail. You know who I'm talking about. You know, I really miss Biden. I feel like we were safe, like I didn't have to worry everything was going to blow up — I could live my life while he was there. Now, every day I wake up and worry what is this guy going to do next and these oligarchs. Can I say one more thing and I'll shut up. WHOOPI GOLDBERG: You don't have to shut up. BEHAR: They need to start showing their moneys out, these guys, Bezos and what’s his name— SARA HAINES: They do for Trump. BEHAR: Musk. They give it to Trump. Do they think that they're going to live forever, these people. Everybody dies. I hate to break it to them, but you are not going to live forever. According to the World Food Program, we could end world hunger by 2030 with $40 billion. That's all it will take, and he, Elon Musk, his network grew by $170 billion in the month after the election. GOLDBERG: Oh, just wait. Just wait. Just wait. BEHAR: And just keeps making more and more money and nothing is done with that money to help people. It’s just to increase their power. GOLDBERG: Which is really kind of sad. Somebody said to me yesterday, why do you think they haven't given anything to California? I mean, there are all — people are, you know, going out of their way to do stuff and I was looking to see if — and I didn't see anything. Maybe I'm wrong. BEHAR: Zuckerberg gave 2 million to wildfires. He's worth 200 billion. He gave 2 million. That's like $5 to me. ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: And Elon Musk did donate Starlink, so people who are left offline were able to access internet and get communications and Jeff Bezos, I will argue for his flaws is incredibly charitable. He and his wife have a ton of foundations that deal with hunger and those things.

Karen Bass was enjoying a cocktail party, taking photos in a foreign land while her city burned

Unlike the tale of Emperor Nero fiddling while Rome burned, which is likely apocryphal, there is proof that Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) was living it up at a cocktail party while fire consumed her city. The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday that Bass was busy hobnobbing and posing for photos at a Jan. 7 embassy cocktail party in Ghana as thick columns of smoke rose above Los Angeles. There has been significant outrage already over the Democratic mayor's questionable decisions, not only to slash her city's fire department budget but to break a pledge not to "travel internationally" by absconding to Africa days after the National Weather Service warned of an imminent windstorm and then remaining overseas after the NWS underscored that the windstorm could be "life-threatening, destructive," and widespread. A spokesman for Bass told the L.A. Times, whose owner expressed regret Monday about his paper's previous endorsement of the mayor, that the U.S. ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Evelyn Palmer, hosted the party. Afterward, Bass and others who traveled to Ghana to attend the inauguration of President John Dramani Mahama apparently jumped on a military plane headed back to smoldering Los Angeles. 'Mayor Bass has been absent from the frontlines, choosing to travel abroad while her constituents suffer.' The Times noted that a partygoer's watch in photos of the event posted to LinkedIn by city staffer Marissa Bowman helped confirm that Bass was posing for photos around noon Los Angeles time — within minutes of the issuance of evacuation orders in the Pacific Palisades. Photos shared to Instagram by Ghanaian emcee Nathaniel Attoh similarly hinted at the good time had by Bass as the first of over 40,695 acres in Los Angeles County burned. Bass spokesman Zach Seidl claimed that for the majority of the swanky cocktail party, "the mayor was in a different room on calls from L.A." Bass apparently did not provide the Times with comment. The Times noted that Brian Williams, Bass' deputy mayor who oversaw the fire department, was similarly missing in action, as he was on leave after allegedly making a bomb threat against City Hall. Amid growing concerns about her competence, Bass now faces a growing recall effort. A petition to recall Bass "due to her gross mismanagement and failure to effectively respond to the devastating 2025 fires in and around the city of Los Angeles" on Change.org has already netted over 147,500 signatures. The petition states, "Families have been displaced, homes destroyed, and livelihoods shattered — yet Mayor Bass has been absent from the frontlines, choosing to travel abroad while her constituents suffer." 3 Stanley Cup rings stolen from Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin in latest pro athlete robbery

NHL superstar Evgeni Malkin had his home burglarized, and his championship rings are reportedly missing. After a brutal 5-0 loss to the Ottawa Senators last Saturday, the night got worse for Penguins forward Malkin, who reportedly returned home to find he was robbed of his most prized possessions.Police from Sewickley Heights, a suburb of Pittsburgh, responded to a request for assistance for a residential burglary at 8:30 p.m. on the night in question. Police determined that the home belonged to Malkin, who had reportedly "returned home from a game to find his home was burglarized."Detectives initiated an investigation and found that Malkin's three Stanley Cup championship rings were taken from his residence. The rings represent all three of Malkin's championships, which he won with the Penguins in 2009 (pictured below), 2016, and 2017. 2009 Stanley Cup ringPhoto by Justin K. Aller/Getty ImagesThe Penguins released a statement confirming that Malkin had his home robbed but stated that the details would not be made public due to an ongoing investigation."We are working closely with local authorities and team security," the team said, per KDKA-TV's Jennifer Borrasso. The franchise added, "Malkin has requested that his privacy be respected during this time, and we will have no further comment on the matter."Burglars have specifically targeted professional athletes recently, utilizing their team schedules to find out when they will not be present at their homes. The NFL even issued a warning after Kansas City law enforcement officials said the homes of Kansas City Chiefs players Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were robbed on consecutive days. It was reported that about $20,000 was stolen from Kelce, while the amount taken from Mahomes was unknown."The homes of professional athletes across multiple sports leagues have become increasingly targeted for burglaries by organized and skilled groups," the NFL stated in a memo. "Law enforcement officials have noted these groups appear to exploit team schedules to target athletes' homes on game days."In December, Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow had his house robbed while he played a "Monday Night Football" game.Later that month, the fiancée of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott reportedly left her vehicle unlocked while going to a Pilates class, when her goods were stolen.Allegheny County Police said, however, that they had not received any information to indicate the robbery at Malkin's home was tied to a criminal organization that targets athletes.Like Blaze News?
