Metallica continues on the road promoting their latest record "72 Seasons", released in 2023, and announced their first 2026 tour dates which are in Europe. Since they have been playing extensively in the United States this year they will go to Europe in 2026 and other regions like South America and Oceania might have dates announced too. The announced shows will happen in May, June and July. On selected dates the opening acts are Gojira, Knocked Loose, Pantera and Avatar. The official statement about the shows said: "Greetings from the road as the M72 World Tour currently rolls through North America… we’re not ready to stop yet! An incredible year four of M72 in 2026 will take us back to Europe next spring and summer to visit some cities we have not been to yet." A couple of months ago the Black Sabbath co-founder and guitarist Tony Iommi revealed he would be part of the upcoming Robbie Williams album "Britpop" which will be out next May 27. Now the track "Rocket", featuring Iommi and the bassist/singer Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple and more) was released. The track was written by Williams, Iommi, Karl Brazil and Tom Longworth. "There's some 'Brit' in there and there's certainly some 'pop' too. I'm immensely proud of this as a body of work and I'm excited for fans to hear this album. Williams recorded four albums with the group Take That and 12 albums as a solo artist.
