Trump rejects 'Project 2025' plan after criticism from Democrats: 'I have nothing to do with them.'

Trump rejects 'Project 2025' plan after criticism from Democrats: 'I have nothing to do with them.'

Former President Donald Trump issued a statement Friday denying that he had anything to do with "Project 2025" after Democrats launched commercials criticizing him based on the conservative plan. Project 2025 is a set of policies collected by the Heritage Foundation as a recommended plan of action for Trump if he were to win the 2024 election. On Friday, he denied knowledge of it and said he had nothing to do with the plan. 'I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal.' "I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it," wrote Trump in a post on Truth Social. "I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal," he added. "Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them." A spokesperson for the plan released a statement Friday. “As we’ve been saying for more than two years now, Project 2025 does not speak for any candidate or campaign," the statement read. "We are a coalition of more than 110 conservative groups advocating policy & personnel recommendations for the next conservative president," the spokesperson added. "But it is ultimately up to that president, who we believe will be President Trump, to decide which recommendations to implement. Rather than obsessing over Project 2025, the Biden campaign should be addressing the 25th Amendment.”'Project 2025 is not a game, it’s white Christian nationalism.'Democrats have been citing the plan to accuse Trump of plotting to implement extremist policies. In November, Democratic Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. of New Jersey said that Trump was going to "impose a republican military dictatorship" by invoking the Insurrection Act to send the military to shut down political dissent. "This isn't hyperbole," Pascrell claimed, citing a Washington Post article. Rob Bluey of the Heritage Foundation denied the accusation. "There are no plans within Project 2025 related to the Insurrection Act or targeting political enemies," he said at the time. Actor Mark Ruffalo posted about the plan on Monday. "Project 2025 is not a game, it’s white Christian nationalism," he claimed. "Trump is bringing it to all our lives: abortion, LGBTQIA+ rights, freedom of expression, freedom of religion, freedom of education, and equality between the races and genders—GONE. Forced birth and forced religion. Trump’s American Taliban." The plan was also cited by MSNBC's Joy Reid when she said voting for President Joe Biden was important even if "he's in a coma" after a disastrous debate performance. "If it’s Biden in a coma, I’m going to vote for Biden in a coma," she explained. "Yeah, Hitler, White House, we’re keeping him out. We’re keeping Project 2025 out — that’s all I care about. Up and down the ballot, from the rooter to the tooter, school board all the way up to the White House and everything in between." Like Blaze News? Liberals explode in outrage over effort by Sen. Mark Warner to get Dems to tell Biden to step down: 'STOP THIS BULLS***'

Many on the left expressed outrage and fury over a report that Democratic Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia was calling for a group of Democratic senators to ask President Joe Biden to step down from the presidential campaign. Democrats have been divided since the president's disastrous and humiliating performance in the CNN debate with former President Donald Trump. Some have called for him to abandon the campaign while others demand that Democrats continue to back the president. 'No one's pushing me out. I'm not leaving.'On Friday, the Washington Post reported that Warner was trying to organize a meeting of Democrats on Monday to persuade Biden to exit the campaign. Biden has responded to the furor by proclaiming that he is in the race to stay and promises to beat Trump. "Let me say this as clearly as I possibly can and as simply and straightforward as I can: I am running. I'm the nominee of the Democratic Party. No one's pushing me out. I'm not leaving," said Biden. Some Democrats in the House of Representatives are organizing a letter seeking to ask Biden to step down. Polling shows that Trump has gained an edge in overall support after the debate. Biden has also claimed that he was tired from travelling in an attempt to explain his poor performance, but that excuse made little sense given what the campaign had already said about his schedule. 'All this bedwetting and backstabbing from Democrats. Shameful.'Some Biden backers expressed their dismay and anger against Warner on social media. "Everyone needs to let @MarkWarner know that this is a disastrous plan and it's not going to happen. Pile on and ***tag him.*** Biden is staying and we're supporting him. THE END. STOP THIS BULLS*** NOW, Warner," responded podcaster Kimberley Johnson. "I'm a proud born and raised Virginia citizen, also a strong supporter of BIDEN-HARRIS, and I'd like to say .... F****** YOU to @MarkWarner !!!" said one detractor. "Not even thoughts and prayers to your political career. Have you called on Donald Trump to withdraw? All this bedwetting and backstabbing from Democrats. Shameful," read one reply. "Yes, Mark Warner can go f*** himself," read another response."Mark Warner doesn’t know how to make a proper tuna sandwich so he can kiss my ass on how to choose a president," said another critic. Others expressed support for Warner and said it was pivotal to get Biden to step down from the campaign. Warner is the chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee. When Biden was asked about Warner's effort on Friday, he had a brief response. "He's the only one," said Biden. Like Blaze News? 10 billion stolen passwords shared online in record-breaking leak

Months after the so-called "mother of all breaches" was uncovered in January, another record-breaking leak has been posted online. According to the Cybernews research team, a password compilation containing nearly 10 billion unique plaintext passwords (9,948,575,739 to be exact) was published on a hacker forum on July 4th. The password compilation file from user ObamaCare is titled rockyou2024.txt -- a reference to RockYou2021, which was previously the largest password compilation on record. RockYou2021 was a 100 GB text file containing 8.4 billion plaintext passwords. Cybernews claims that RockYou2024 combines the previous leak with a collection of more than 1.5 billion new passwords collected between 2021 and 2024. RockYou2024 contains nearly 10 billion passwords. Image source: Cybernews The Cybernews research team warns that threat actors will use all of the leaked passwords for credential stuffing, which is a cyberattack that uses stolen account credentials to gain access to user accounts. Combined with older leaked databases, researchers believe "RockYou2024 can contribute to a cascade of data breaches, financial frauds, and identity thefts." There's obviously nothing you can do to reverse this leak, but Cybernews did share a few steps you can to ensure that your accounts are safe from threat actors: Immediately reset the passwords for all accounts associated with the leaked passwords. It is strongly recommended to select strong, unique passwords that are not reused across multiple platforms Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) wherever possible. This enhances security by requiring additional verification beyond a password Utilize password manager software to securely generate and store complex passwords. Password managers mitigate the risk of password reuse across different accounts It's always worth checking HaveIBeenPwned.com every month or so to see if your passwords need to be updated due to your online accounts being compromised.
