Fox Analyst to Brent Bozell on Damning Report: Soros ‘Hates America,’ ‘Wants to Tear It Down’

Fox News Legal Analyst Gregg Jarrett flayed George Soros’s “calamitous” criminal justice agenda in response to an MRC Special Report exposing how Soros, along with his son Alex, directs and controls 126 soft-on-crime prosecutors across the United States. Jarrett spoke to MRC Founder and President Brent Bozell on the latest installment of The Brent Bozell Show, where Jarrett said, “George Soros is a multi-billionaire who, I think, hates America and wants to tear it down.”  Bozell broke down the key findings of the MRC Special Report for Jarrett, describing how, “George Soros — under the cover of darkness with no coverage given to him by any network — has been buying prosecutors all over the United States of America.”  Jarrett’s remarks followed the Aug. 12 release of an MRC Special Report that demonstrated Soros not only spent at least $40 million to elect radical leftist prosecutors but also poured $77,663,316 into 20 leftist nonprofits that assertively direct and control these prosecutors.  These groups have made staffing choices for these prosecutors while pushing them to attend mandatory meetings, promote their groups on social media and sign radical pledges not to enforce the law.  During the interview, Jarrett discussed Soros’s motivation for picking prosecutors “who have ruined their own communities” with soft-on-crime policies.  “[Soros] believes that if you let people out of jail [and] if you don't prosecute criminals, you are benefiting minorities and disadvantaged people in the inner city and therefore — and this is the key part — it will improve public safety,” Jarrett said, before panning Soros’s vision: “Now you'd have to be a moron to believe that because it's not only counterintuitive, it makes no common sense and empirical and statistical evidence shows that the opposite is true.”  Jarrett also emphasized that all the spending and collusion exposed by the MRC Special Report had a disastrous impact as Soros prosecutors often refuse to prosecute crime or push for tough sentences. “The net result, of course, is in places like Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Saint Louis, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Portland, where all of these Soros-funded progressive prosecutors have been in office,” he said, “It has been calamitous.”  Jarrett added that the Soros prosecutors did not care about “innocent victims of crime” but only about criminals. He said, “And the criminals love it. You know, and the recidivism rate is shocking. Once they're released, they go out and re-commit the same crime. Sometimes even worse.” The Fox News legal analyst lauded the resignations and electoral defeats of some of the Soros prosecutors, saying that “the citizens have revolted amid the skyrocketing crimes of homicide and rape and assault and battery and theft. But a lot of people have fled those very cities because of what George Soros has done.” Bozell responded to Jarrett by pointing out the seriousness of labeling Soros as anti-American. Bozell discussed how this label would have once been an unimaginable slur, but now was simply an apt description for Soros, Vice President Kamala Harris, the Black Lives Matter Movement and even the far left generally. Conservatives are under attack! Contact ABC News (818) 460-7477, CBS News (212) 975-3247 and NBC News (212) 664-6192 and demand they report Soros’ connections to radical district attorneys throughout the country.

NBC Gets Warm & Fuzzy Over ‘Barn-Burning’, ‘Powerful’ Obamas ‘Electrifying’ DNC

NBC’s Today gave ABC’s Good Morning America a run for its money Wednesday in the Obamagasam department as they too fell head over heels for Barack and Michelle Obama “energiz[ing]” and “light[ing] up the convention hall....with back-to-back barn-burning speeches” “sharing the powerful, contagious power of hope, as [Michelle] described it” doubling as a “takedown” of Donald Trump. Co-host Savannah Guthrie was ready to fire away from Chicago, starting from the teases: “Fired up and ready to go. Barack and Michelle Obama light up the convention hall in Chicago with back-to-back barn-burning speeches rousing the party faithful....Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, the official nominees now after ruckus, music-filled roll call.” NBC's @TodayShow gave ABC's @GMA a run for its money in getting weak knees over the Obamas. Starring Savannah Guthrie and Peter Alexander..... pic.twitter.com/yIAvhHzGVo — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) August 21, 2024 Staying behind in New York, co-host Kotb remarked following the teases that “[t]he crowd seemed super energized” with Guthrie agreeing “the atmosphere here in Chicago was electric among the party faithful” with both Obamas “not minc[ing] words when talking about” Trump. Chief White House correspondent Peter Alexander emoted a sunny disposition like a Ken doll in fan-boying over the Obamas: [T]his place was bursting with energy as we witnessed last night. There were a series back-to-back-back addresses. Doug Emhoff kicking things off with a little self-deprecation. Michelle Obama sharing the powerful, contagious power of hope, as she described it. And we also heard from Barack Obama with a forceful call to action. Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama providing a major political, one-two punch overnight at the DNC. Boasting that Michelle “electrif[ied] the delegates,” he added she “deliver[ed] a takedown of former President Trump, referencing the racist conspiracy theory Mr. Trump pushed for years against her husband.” Alexander also gushed over Emhoff’s speech, calling it “heartfelt” while making no mention of Emhoff causing his first marriage to fall apart when he had an affair with and impregnated his childrens’ nanny. He eventually wrapped with a gushing moment of praise masquerading as analysis in touting “[t]he crowd at one point sort of picking up with an organic reaction to some of his words saying ‘yes, she can,’ repeating a line that he first made famous with ‘yes, we can.’” Guthrie and Meet the Press moderator Kristen Welker were cartoonishly stupid in their cockamamie partisanship by wistfully claiming the Obamas embodied a time when civility ruled the day in politics (click “expand”): WHAT THE FLUGELHORN were Savannah Guthrie and Kristen Welker smoking on the 'Today' show?!?! The idea that the Obamas represent a time in politics when civility and agreeing to disagree was plentiful is ludicrous. ? on ? pic.twitter.com/Rham2rOjcB — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) August 21, 2024 GUTHRIE: [I]t was remarkable to hear the Obamas speak so directly about former President Trump. But the larger message of both speeches was really a call to a different era in politics and they seemed nostalgic for the hope and change time and — and really called Americans to a better time where you could disagree but not be divided, not hate each other. WELKER: Yes. And you heard Michelle Obama say hope is making a comeback. Former President Barack Obama — remember he delivered that speech in 2004 when he said there’s no red America or blue America. There’s only a United States of America. They seem to be making that case again last night, Savannah. And one of the notable aspects of it, urging people to give grace to their neighbors, their fellow citizens, essentially to stop this cancel culture. At one point, Michelle Obama with tough medicine for Democrats, saying there’s not going to be a goldilocks moment. Look, these are human beings, these candidates may make mistakes but Vice President Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, they are the right people for this moment to defeat Donald Trump and, as you say, really just a scorching takedown of Donald Trump as well. Welker then falsely asserted this funhouse mirror world where Michelle Obama hadn’t been political before (click “expand”): GUTHRIE: Well, Michelle Obama, of course, so famously said at the last convention — I guess it was 2016 — when they go low, we go high. She — she definitely was ready to take the gloves off and deliver not just one, but several punches against Donald Trump, and that’s very striking. It felt like she had something to get off her chest for the last eight years. WELKER: We have never heard Michelle Obama like this. It was as if she was saying everything she’s wanted to say since 2016 speaking in such personal terms about the fact the President Trump wept after her and Barack Obama, and basically, as she said, because they are successful, black people. And that was, I think, so powerful, Savannah. But, look, she did take the gloves off, and this is a different moment than, saying when they go low, we go high. She’s making it clear and realizing the reality what Democrats have learned that they’ve got to get into the ring with him if they want to win this fight. (....) WELKER: One more note, Obama — Michelle Obama both talked about the power of their mothers, their late mothers. And it was almost trying to give voters a permission slip to vote for the first woman to be president. Barack Obama saying women built this country, and that split screen moment with her in a critical battleground state making the point we are not missing one minute and one chance to reach out to voters. A simple trip back in the NewsBusters archives to even the largely virtual 2020 Democratic National Convention and the liberal media made identical claims (see here, here, here, and here for a few examples). Welker also sucked up to Governor Tim Walz’s (D-MN) camp ahead of his speech, telling voters to get over it if they expect Walz or Kamala Harris to say what they’re for in terms of policies: “[T]his is going to be about filling out the biography of Tim Walz, of Vice President Kamala Harris as well. People know them, but they’re not familiar, so don’t expect a whole lot of policy. This is going to be heavy on the biography, the ideals”. In the second half hour, Guthrie doubled down on the Obamas having “lit this place on fire” as a lead-in to senior Washington correspondent Hallie Jackson offering a fawning piece on the Obamas since they left office. Here was part of that (click “expand”): JACKSON: Behind the scenes, former President Obama has been in regular contact with Vice President Harris with some of his former staffers joining her campaign. Both Obamas very popular in the party, but have largely shied away from roles as political king makers, choosing instead to pursue other interests, including partnerning with Netflix to feature documentaries. MICHELLE OBAMA [on Netflix]: You let people tell their own story. JACKSON: Each also selling bestselling memoirs and Mr. Obama even joining Bruce Springsteen for a podcast series. Last night, former President Obama criticizing Mr. Trump but also urging Americans to listen to each other. BARACK OBAMA: If a parent or grandparent occasionally says something that makes us cringe, we — we don’t automatically assume they’re bad people. We recognize that the world is moving fast, that they need time and maybe a little encouragement to catch up. JACKSON: Tuesday’s speech coming just two decades after a then-unknown Illinois state legislator burst onto the national political stage at the 2004 DNC. BARACK OBAMA [on 07/27/04]: There is not a liberal America and a conservative America. There is the United States of America. JACKSON: Four years later, Kamala Harris among those who knocked on doors in Iowa to help with then-freshman Senator Obama to pull off a upset win in the caucuses, helping to propel him to the White House as the nation’s next black president. Report shows the majority of the groups protesting DNC fall under the definition of 'extremist'

The protests raging outside the DNC in Chicago, Illinois, are apparently so bad that a security wall has been erected around the perimeter of the convention. A barrier to protect insiders from outsiders? How ironic. But what’s perhaps even more ironic is that of the 200 groups projected to protest outside the DNC this week, 150 of them qualify as “extremist groups” — and not the kind of “extreme” the left accuses JD Vance of being. No, these extremist groups in Chicago are identified as such according to the Capital Research Center’s definition — which is “very narrow,” says Glenn Beck. According to the Capital Research Center, “extremist groups are only designated extremist if they have documented ties or publicly expressed support for terrorism or terrorist groups, ties to or publicly expressed solidarity with hostile foreign governments, and/or support for anarchism, Marxism, or communism.” With that definition in mind, Glenn reads the shocking report regarding the groups currently in Chicago. - YouTube www.youtube.com “At least 279 extremist groups are now on the streets as part of this coalition to march on the DNC in Chicago.”There’s a “separate coalition that is publicly planning disruptions at the convention.”“Several Chicago-based Islamic groups that are also involved in the efforts but are not officially enlisted in any coalition.”“Of the 229 groups involved in the anti-DNC efforts, 162 or 71% qualify as an extremist group.”“At least 147 of the anti-DNC groups have expressed support for or have ties to terrorist groups or terrorist attacks, but a handful of those 147 groups have ties to or publicly support Hamas and/or the terrorist attacks on Israel on October 7.”“Hamas-allied and Iran-backed Marxist, Leninist terror groups are also on the ground. ... They have strong direct links to a coalition that is openly planning to replicate the violent 1968 Democratic Convention.”“The majority of the identified extremist groups are linked to or have expressed solidarity with at least one of the nine foreign governments hostile to the United States, including Iran, China, Venezuela, Russia, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Pakistan, and Nicaragua.”“The extremist groups also have ties to or express support for 19 foreign terrorist organizations, including Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, the PFLP [Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine], the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Islamic resistance in Iraq, the Lion's Den, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Muslim Brotherhood, Jamaat-e-Islami, the Taliban, al-Qaeda, Marxist terrorists from Puerto Rico, Islamist terrorists in Sudan,” among several others.“The Coalition of March on the DNC’s official statement and website content explicitly supports Hamas and the atrocities committed on October 7.”“A large portion of the extremist groups have engaged in, endorsed, or attempted to assist acts of violence, property destruction, economic sabotage on the U.S. soil, and are justifiably described as acts of terrorism.”“The monitoring of the mainstream media coverage of the protest found almost a universal failure to inform readers or watchers about the pro-terrorism stances of the groups and the activists.” “That’s quite a list,” says Glenn. “This is foreign interference from our greatest enemies, and the Democrats are playing footsie with them.” To hear the disturbing response of the Harris campaign regarding these extremists, watch the clip above. 80-year-old woman dies after getting dragged during carjacking, Seattle police say

An elderly woman was killed in Seattle, Washington, by injuries she received during a violent carjacking, according to police. Seattle police Det. Eric Muñoz said in a police blotter post that officers responded to calls about a carjacking in the Madison Valley neighborhood around 10 a.m. Tuesday. When police arrived, they found a person performing CPR on a woman lying in the street. 'This woman was fighting for other people’s dogs and her own dog in this car. Like it wasn’t about the car. It was about the dogs.'Neighbors identified the woman as 80-year-old Ruth Dalton, owner of Grandma’s Critter Care. Police said during the carjacking and struggle, she was "dragged by her car and mortally wounded." Dalton reportedly had several dogs in her vehicle during the carjacking, the Seattle Times reported.Muñoz said some bystanders saw the attack and tried to help the woman but were unsuccessful. One woman who saw the incident told the Times that the carjacker actually backed over the victim before driving off. “He did not need to back up,” Laura Dynan said. “This woman was fighting for other people’s dogs and her own dog in this car. Like it wasn’t about the car. It was about the dogs.” Seattle Fire Department responders tried to save Dalton's life, but she was declared dead at the scene. Some of the dogs in the vehicle escaped, while others were still inside it as the carjacker sped away, Dynan added to the Times.Hours later, police said they were responding to a report of a dead dog when they found the Dalton's car abandoned in a neighborhood about five miles away from the crime scene. Dynan offered a defense of Seattle against those who claimed it is crime-infested, despite the horrific death of the elderly woman on her street. “There’s a lot of stories and a lot of people being interviewed talking about how awful Seattle is, and it’s not safe,” she told the Times. “But you know what? Every single person came out, everyone came to help her, and I want someone to talk about that.”Muñoz said police are actively searching for the attacker and investigating the matter as a homicide. KING-TV published scenes from the neighborhood and an interview with Muñoz. Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Ford kills electric SUV as EV division is on pace to lose $5.5 billion this year

Ford Motor Company announced that it is recalibrating its EV strategy over concerns about profitability, including scrapping an electric SUV. Ford is canceling plans to manufacture a large, three-row electric SUV.Ford chief executive officer Jim Farley said, "We loved our three-row crossover and I was so excited to show everyone the work we did. But there was just no way it would ever meet our criteria of being profitable.”Ford will reduce future capital expenditure plans on pure EVs from 40% to 30%Ford now plans to leverage hybrid technology for its next-generation three-row SUVs.Ford forecasts smaller, cheaper EVs as the future, while hybrid technology will be utilized for powering larger vehicles.“This is about us being nimble and listening to responses from our customers,” Ford vice chairman and CFO John Lawler said in a call on Wednesday. "Hybrid tech for those customers is the best solution."Lawler added, "We've been out in the [EV] market here for over two years, and we’ve learned a lot, and what we’re understanding is that customers want more electrification choices.”Lawler noted that Ford will reduce future capital expenditure plans on pure EVs from 40% to 30%. He did not provide a timeline for the reduction in fully electric vehicles. "As we’ve learned in the marketplace, and we’ve seen where people have gravitated, we’re going to focus in where we have competitive advantage, and that’s on commercial land trucks and SUVs," Lawler stated. Farley said in an interview, "This is a tremendous pivot for us, and we’re not going to make a tremendous pivot without doing a lot of homework to convince ourselves this is the exact right plan. I'm very confident.”The Blue Oval said on Wednesday in a press release that the cancellation would cause Ford to take a special non-cash charge of about $400 million for writing down the value of manufacturing assets it will no longer use. Ford also admitted that the strategy of embracing hybrids over fully electric cars could cost the company as much as $1.5 billion in additional expenses and cash expenditures.Ford's EV division is on pace to lose as much as $5.5 billion this year, according to a Thursday report by Bloomberg.Bloomberg reported in May, citing sources, that Ford was losing $100,000 for every electric car it delivered in the first quarter of 2024.Ford also announced this week that its upcoming pickup truck, codenamed "T3," will be delayed two years to debut in 2027. The T3 pickup will be manufactured at Ford's $5.6 billion BlueOval City production facility in Tennessee, which is expected to open in 2025. Ford stated that it still plans to introduce an all-new fully electric commercial van that will begin production in Ohio in 2026. The car company said it plans to move some battery production next year for the Mustang Mach-E electric SUV from Poland to Holland, Michigan, to qualify for Inflation Reduction Act manufacturing tax credits. "An important enabler to achieving that profitability is around the mix of the battery production that’s in the U.S. that’s going to qualify for the advanced manufacturing tax credit," Lawler explained. "That’s going to be a big part of our walk to profitability."Last year, the U.S. Department of Energy Department announced it had given a $9.2 billion conditional loan to a joint venture of Ford Motor and South Korea's SK On to build three battery plants in Tennessee and Kentucky. Ford expects to begin manufacturing lower-cost lithium iron phosphate, or LFP, batteries at the BlueOval Battery Park plant in Michigan starting in 2026. Farley said the LFP battery will power their upcoming all-electric midsize pickup and would be cheaper to own and operate than a traditional internal combustion engine or hybrid model."It's a game-changing product from a cost-of-ownership standpoint," Farley declared. "If you are not competitive on battery cost, you are not competitive."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

‘It Ends with Us’ is emotional porn for women— and why that’s dangerous

If you’re a woman who hasn’t heard of the name Colleen Hoover, then you’re one of the few. Hoover is the wildly successful author of “It Ends with Us,” which is a romance novel that’s just made its film debut. The film stars Blake Lively, and according to the Hollywood Reporter, it has brought in over $15 million in its first week. Allie Beth Stuckey of “Relatable” also read the book but found herself needing to skip over far too many parts. “Why? Because the books are so sexually explicit. It is pornography. It is sexual pornography, and it is also emotional pornography,” Stuckey explains. “Just because something is fiction, just because you are reading something, does not mean it is okay to consume.” It’s not just the sexual nature of Hoover’s books that’s concerning but the feminist message she sends readers. “If this is what women are consuming, I understand why women have the thoughts that they do,” she continues. “Not just about sex and promiscuity but also about this girlboss god of self world that women occupy, this self-empowerment, this self-savior complex.” While the story has good elements — like Blake Lively’s character trying to escape an abusive relationship and finding solace in a man who is strong and protective in the right ways — those good elements are tainted by the overt sexuality. “When you are writing these hot and heavy romantic scenes with a woman and her abuser, you are almost glorifying the abuse, because women unfortunately still get attached to that abusive character, and I think that is very dangerous,” Stuckey explains. It also feeds an emotional and sexual fantasy that leads women to compare themselves and their relationships to the characters. “This kind of emotional pornography, in addition to the sexual aspects of it, I think just makes women extremely discontent. Extremely discontent with their own life, extremely discontent with their own marriage in a way that is not even, like, grounded in reality, and also just feeds lust and fantasy,” Stuckey says. “That does not feed into a person’s contentment and satisfaction,” she adds.
