Pelosi Slurs Her Words While Defending Biden’s Mental Fitness: ‘Trump Has Dementia’

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appeared to slur her words during an interview over the weekend as she defended President Joe Biden amid the fallout from his disastrous debate performance last week. Pelosi made the remarks during a Sunday interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” with co-host Dana Bash when asked if Biden should step aside given how glaringly obvious it’s becoming to the majority of voters that Biden lacks the mental fitness needed to serve as president. “This is an opportunity for Joe Biden to go out there and show he has the stamina and the rest,” Pelosi said. “And, by the way, while the press — and, for some reason, they don’t — there are health care professionals who think that Trump has dementia, that his connection — his thoughts do not go together, not only that he just lies; he doesn’t even know the truth.” “So, if we’re just talking about mental acuity, let’s be fair about it,” she continued. “I don’t think Tom Friedman thinks that Donald Trump should be president of the United States. And while he may be saying we’re enablers, we see Joe Biden up close. We know how attuned he is to the issues, how informed he is.” “When I debate with him about legislation — and not debate, but discuss it with him. He’s right there,” she concluded. “So in any case, it was a bad night. Let’s not sugarcoat that. It was a bad night. It was a great presidency.” WATCH: WATCH: Nancy Pelosi mumbling and bumbling her way through her CNN appearance tries to defend Joe Biden’s debate performance through her own brain malfunction: “It was a bad night. Post-Debate Poll Shows 72% Of Voters Say Biden Not Fit To Serve

Nearly three-fourths of voters doubt President Joe Biden is fit to serve after his shaky debate performance last week, according to a new poll. CBS News and YouGov found 72% of registered voters do not believe Biden, 81, has the mental and cognitive health to be president while 27% said that he does. For months before the debate, the nation's voters repeatedly expressed doubts over whether Joe Biden had the cognitive health enough to serve as president. Today, those doubts have grown even more: now at 72% of the electorate, and now including many within his own party. pic.twitter.com/9QB10d8UYo — CBS News Poll (@CBSNewsPoll) June 30, 2024 Among Democratic registered voters, 41% say Biden does not have the capacity to do the job, a 10-point increase over the 29% who said the same earlier in June. Half of registered voters said former President Donald Trump, 78, does have the mental and cognitive health to serve as president while 49% said that he does not. Three weeks ago, on June 9, CBS News and YouGov found more registered voters viewed Biden as being capable of performing the duties of commander in chief. At the time, 65% of respondents did not think Biden was fit to serve while 35% said that he did possess the mental and cognitive health for the job. Democrats are reportedly panicking after the debate on Thursday and there is a push, including by The New York Times’ editorial board, for Biden to leave the race. A Biden campaign fundraising email included a graphic comparing how Biden polls against Trump to other Democrats, including Vice President Kamala Harris. A Biden campaign fundraising email tonight included a polling graphic comparing Biden vs. Trump to potential alternatives, including HarrisButtigiegBookerNewsomWhitmerKlobucharShapiroPritzker The inclusion of the information feels more revealing the info itself. pic.twitter.com/EoIFfS0Iou — Shane Goldmacher (@ShaneGoldmacher) June 30, 2024 The message claimed the alternatives were not as likely to win, but the chart shows Harris, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and others polling similarly to Biden. CBS News and YouGov found 72% of registered voters say Biden should not be running for president, a 9-point jump over the 63% who said the same in February. Among Democratic registered voters, 46% say Biden should not be running for president, a 10-point increase over the 36% who said the same in the earlier poll. Most voters agreed Biden should not be running because of his age, decisions he might make in office, his record as president, and ability to campaign effectively. Ultimately, 55% of Democratic registered voters said Biden ought to continue running when asked if he should be the nominee while 45% said he should step aside. CBS News said its new poll is based on a national sample of 1,130 registered voters contacted from June 28-29 and has a margin of error of plus-or-minus 4.2 points.

“American Idol’s” Will Moseley “Knocked” This Chris Stapleton Cover “Out Of The Park”

Will Moseley just dropped a cover of Chris Stapleton’s Whiskey And You, and it will remind you why fans fell in love with him on American Idol. Will has easily moved into a successful country music career since being crowned American Idol’s runner-up champion. In the weeks that followed the May 19th finale, he released a charting single and opened for Zac Brown. Along the way, he’s also stayed busy by recording originals and covers and sharing them on his social media pages. His most recent release is an acoustic cover of Chris Stapleton’s 2015 hit. Will Moseley has chosen to sing Chris’ songs several times in the past because the two share a similarly raspy, southern voice, and Will tends to nail his work. This cover is no different. Will Moseley emotionally sings Chris Stapleton’s heartbreaking lyrics with pure soul and perfection. Now thousands of fans are remembering why they supported him on American Idol. “HE WAS MY CHOICE FROM DAY 1 ON AMERICAN IDOL,” someone gushed in the comments. “THAT VOICE, INCREDIBLY AMAZINGLY AMAZING!! HE DAMN SURE IS GOING PLATINUM, JUST WATCH!!” “The tone, the rasp, the timing, the delivery, the vibe, the lyrics,” another person wrote. “Awesome” “Your singing voice gives me goosebumps… In a good way!! Lol” someone praised. “Amazing cover,” a fan commented. “You knocked this out of the park.” You can follow Will Moseley’s budding career on Instagram and YouTube. TikTok Says It Was an “Error” To Shut Down Reform Party’s Speech

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. On Sunday, a significant disruption occurred during a Reform Party rally when TikTok unexpectedly suspended its livestream. The event, held at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre in England, featured key speeches from Reform Party leader Nigel Farage and other prominent figures, including Ann Widdecombe. The suspension, which lasted approximately 30 minutes, was later attributed to a “moderation error,” according to a TikTok spokesperson. The interruption sparked immediate concerns among viewers when the live stream ceased during a critical moment of Ann Widdecombe’s speech. Widdecombe, a former Brexit Party MEP, and Conservative MP, was discussing the future strategies and core values of Reform, emphasizing the party’s commitment to “common sense” and criticizing current governmental approaches. Widdecombe highlighted the urgency of the upcoming days leading to the July 4th vote, reflecting on the political discourse she has encountered: “These next four days are crucial,” and added her personal observation of having “heard more common sense” in recent years compared to her lengthy tenure with the Conservatives. The temporary blockage of the live stream did not go unnoticed, and TikTok was quick to restore service to Farage’s account, confirming the restoration and the brief nature of the suspension. This isn’t the first time the party has faced censorship issues with online platforms this election season. In June, Google reinstated Reform UK’s advertising account after backlash and accusations of election interference by Nigel Farage. Farage criticized the move on Twitter, claiming it stifled their message, and called for immediate action from Google’s Matt Brittin. The public and media reaction influenced Google to restore the account, raising broader concerns about Big Tech’s role in political processes. Google Is Piloting Facial Recognition for Some Employees and Won’t Let Employees Opt Out

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. Google is testing facial recognition on one of its campuses, and refusing to be subjected to this is not an option for the giant’s employees. In other words, opt-out is not a feature of the surveillance scheme – the only possibility available to employees is to fill out a form and declare they don’t want images recorded by security cameras, taken from their company IDs, stored. Reports are saying that this is happening in Kirkland, a suburb of Seattle, where facial recognition tech is used to identify employees using images on their ID badges, in order to keep those unauthorized from entering the premises. And while in the testing phase badges are being used, that won’t be the case in the future, Google representatives have said, but reports quoting them do not clarify what type of ID – or images – might be used instead. According to Google and its division behind the project, Security and Resilience Services (GSRS), the purpose is to mitigate possible security risks. Google “guinea-pigging” its own employees is seen as part of a wider push by the corporation to position itself in the expanding AI-driven surveillance development and deployment, regardless of this being yet another privacy controversy being added to Google’s already existing huge privacy controversy “portfolio.” A spokesperson for Google insisted that the testing in Kirkland and eventual implementation of the technology is squarely security-driven, and reports mention one serious incident, the 2018 shooting at the YouTube office in California, as justification for the measures now being put in place. However, there is already evidence that this type of employee surveillance is being used to control and discipline them as well. According to an internal document seen by CNBC, the Kirkland experiment is “initially” taking place there, suggesting facial recognition will be deployed elsewhere on Google campuses; and the officially stated goal is to identify persons who “may pose a security risk to Google’s people, products, or locations.” But even before the more sophisticated and elaborate surveillance trials started, Google used security camera footage to identify a number of employees who protested over labor conditions, as well as the giant’s Project Nimbus, which involves the company in the conflict in the Middle East. More than 50 people got fired. If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. Zuckerberg says AI rivals are trying to create 'God' amid new technological breakthroughs

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently took aim at AI rivals for "creating God" during a recent interview with YouTuber Kane Sutter. He went on to say, "I find it a pretty big turnoff when people in the tech industry... talk about building this 'one true AI.'"Zuckerberg appeared to be alluding to some in Silicon Valley who fancy the idea of building a technology that could surpass the general intelligence of human beings. "It’s almost as if they kind of think they’re creating God or something and... it’s just — that’s not what we’re doing. I don’t think that’s how this plays out," Zuckerberg said.'I, being a historian of computing, have a rather jaded and cynical view of the hyperbolic optimism of our field.'Futurism reported that Zuckerberg contends that an AI god would essentially be unrealistic because people have different needs and interests. To sufficiently tend to all of those needs and interests, there will be a need for several different forms of artificial intelligence. The Meta CEO also went on to criticize closed AI platforms as opposed to open-source AI, adding that open-source AI would continue to encourage people to create different AIs specifically tailored to their own needs. He used OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini AI as examples to drive home his point. He added that Meta is doing things a little differently, instead focusing on creating multiple AI tools for different purposes, according to the Hindustan Times. While OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman has already suggested that artificial general intelligence—a form of AI that would be able to complete any task that a human can—is already a "reasonably close-ish future." Earlier this year, Altman said AGI will "change the world much less than we all think and it will change jobs much less than we all think."However, it is still uncertain how AGI will affect the world if it actually manifests. Shane Legg, chief AGI scientist at Google DeepMind, said that there's around a 50% chance that AGI will be a reality by 2028. But not everyone holds the same amount of optimism about the technology as Legg. Grady Booch, an IBM Fellow and chief scientist for software engineering, said that AGI will never happen."I, being a historian of computing, have a rather jaded and cynical view of the hyperbolic optimism of our field and as such am somewhat conditioned to be a contrarian when it comes to predictions such as this," Booch said.Like Blaze News?
