WATCH: Trump Delivers Pizza To FDNY Station After Spending Day In Court

Former President Donald Trump has been stuck in court every day recently as he attends his trial over alleged hush money payments‚ but he has managed to carve out time for local campaign visits‚ including one to a New York City Fire Department (FDNY) station this week. On Thursday just after court‚ Trump brought pizzas to an FDNY station‚ Engine Co. 8‚ Ladder Co. 2 in Midtown. People can be heard cheering in the background. The Trump campaign had dropped off 10 additional pizzas for the firefighters before Trump’s arrival. “You gotta win&;#33;” one firefighter told Trump as he arrived. “Sir‚ save us please‚” another told him. “I love you all – special people‚” Trump wrote in the station’s daybook. Last month‚ Trump also visited a Manhattan bodega in West Harlem where a clerk was charged with murder after fatally stabbing an attacker in 2022. “They want law and order … every week they’re being robbed‚” Trump said of New York City businesses. “You know where the crime is&;#63; It’s in the bodegas.” CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP Trump has been doing major campaign events like rallies on weekends and Wednesdays‚ the one weekday when the court is not usually in session. Prosecutors claim the former president illegally paid Daniels to keep her quiet about an alleged affair. Trump has denied the allegations and pled not guilty. Meanwhile‚ the judge in the case has slapped Trump with a gag order prohibiting him from commenting on potential witnesses‚ jurors‚ court staff‚ and attorneys. Earlier this week‚ the judge fined Trump $9‚000 for violating the gag order several times and threatened him with jail time. Trump is back in court on Friday for day 11 of the trial. Trump has said he plans to “make a heavy play for New York” despite the state’s heavy Democratic leaning — New York has not voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 1984 when Ronald Reagan was re-elected in a landslide. “I think we have a chance. New York has changed a lot in the last two years‚” Trump said on Fox News. “The people of New York are angry. People that would have never voted for me because I’m a Republican … I think they’re going to vote for me.”

Adorable Lion Cubs Learn To Climb Tree With Mom’s Help

Sometimes‚ you need a little encouragement from Mom — just ask these lion cubs&;#33; A guide from MalaMala Game Reserve caught the cutest video of the kitties learning to climb a tree under their mother’s supervision. Michael Moth sent the footage to Latest Sightings‚ who posted it on YouTube. The sweet clip already has over a million views&;#33; In the video‚ Mama lion stood on a high tree branch while her cubs played below. She kept calling to them‚ trying to entice them to climb up with her. Although they seemed hesitant at first‚ the adorable kittens finally gave it a try. However‚ it was harder than Mom made it look&;#33; Eventually‚ one of the lion cubs managed to climb all the way up to where their mother was waiting. She quickly praised her brave child with sweet nuzzles and kisses&;#33; None of the other cubs were able to climb quite so high‚ but they made a very impressive effort. “In the end‚ the mom came down proud of all her cubs‚” reads the YouTube post. “Each of them put in an excellent effort in learning this new skill. Some learnt it better than others but in the end everyone of these cubs learnt a valuable lesson that may one day help them in their lives of survival.” According to the caption‚ these lion cubs were pretty young. In fact‚ this was one of the first moments between Mom and her babies that humans at MalaMala Game Reserve were able to witness. Commenters absolutely loved the footage&;#33; Photo by Matt Reed on Unsplash “Awww… this is so heartwarming‚” wrote one user. “The tenderness with which a fierce animal guides her cubs‚ encouraging them while staying alert‚ shows that mothers are the same across species. The cubs are adorable and mama lioness’s patience‚ love and care are so beautiful.” “The way the mother lion patiently waits and cheers for her cubs is amazing‚” another added. What an adorable teaching moment that this MalaMala guide captured on camera&;#33; As long as these lion cubs stick with their mom‚ they’re in good hands — er‚ paws. Tiger Woods Tells Jimmy Fallon The Silly Story Of His First Hole-In-One… At 8 Years Old&;#33;

In case you didn’t know‚ Tiger Woods always had the makings of a professional golfer. It turns out that he got his first hole-in-one at the age of eight&;#33; Whether it was a stroke of luck or genius‚ we’ll probably never know. Woods recently appeared on The Tonight Show‚ where he shared the impressive (and slightly hilarious) story with host Jimmy Fallon. “It was at a par 3 course in Heartwell‚” the golfer recalled. “And it was the 12th hole‚ and I hit a 3-wood over the top of a bunker‚ and it rolled in.” When the audience heard the tale of how Tiger Woods got his first hole-in-one‚ they burst into applause. However‚ the athlete still had some details to fill in — for example‚ he had no idea what had happened at first. “I didn’t see it go in because I was too short‚” Woods explained‚ eliciting laughter. However‚ what Jimmy Fallon really wanted to know was whether this hole-in-one influenced the athlete’s future career. When asked if he knew‚ at age eight‚ that he would one day become a professional golfer‚ Woods’s response was simple. “No‚” he said. “No‚ no‚ no‚ no‚ no‚ no.” In the same episode of The Tonight Show‚ Fallon was excited to bring a meme to the golf pro’s attention. It featured a photo of Tiger Woods seemingly shaking hands with a tree&;#33; What had actually happened was that retired commentator Verne Lundquist was hiding behind the tree to create the silly photo. Screengrab from YouTube Since it was taken‚ the picture has gone viral online&;#33; Funny captions included‚ “When I ask for my receipt to be emailed instead of printed‚” and “How it feels to go on a good hike.” Tiger Woods ended his visit by challenging Jimmy Fallon to a game of ping pong in 2024. That’s something to look forward to&;#33; You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. A World First: Orangutan Spotted Giving Himself Medical Treatment In Unprecedented Footage

A research group in Indonesia has spent the last 21 year observing all sorts of wildlife. Still‚ after all this time‚ they recently witnessed a first. And they have Rakus‚ a flanged male orangutan‚ to thank for it. After getting a particularly nasty gash on his cheek‚ the clever orangutan treats his wound with a medicinal plant. The findings‚ which have since been published‚ are proving to be both exciting and beneficial&;#33; The researchers have been observing Rakus‚ along with others‚ as they go about their lives in the Gunung Leuser National Park in South Aceh. Rakus first moved into the area in 2009. At the time‚ he wasn’t fully matured yet. Once he did grow up‚ it seems that he and some of the other flanged males wanted to establish dominance. In turn‚ this is possibly how Rakus got an open wound on his face. While this sort of behavior is expected‚ the way the injured orangutan treats himself is not. The stems and leaves he utilized are called kuning. By humans‚ they’re used to treat diabetes‚ dysentery‚ and malaria. But orangutans are not known to consume the plant. Orangutan Surprises Scientists With the Way He Treats His Own Wound It’s no wonder‚ then‚ that Rakus caught the attention of researchers. Not only did he chew the leaves without swallowing‚ he also used his fingers to smear the leaf juices on his facial wounds – and he did so for over seven minutes. The result&;#63; A completely healed wound in eight days. “It shows that orangutans and humans share knowledge‚” Caroline Schuppli‚ co-author of the study says. “Since they live in the same habitat‚ I would say that’s quite obvious‚ but still intriguing to realize.” Andrew Patrick / Pexels It’s possible that this behavior hasn’t been seen in the orangutans before because injuries are so rare. It’s also possible‚ they say‚ for Rakus to have picked up this behavior before he moved to this area. Either way‚ it’s a reminder that our animal friends are much smarter than we give them credit for. Plus‚ Michael Huffman‚ who studies animal self-medication at the Institute for Tropical Medicine‚ notes that it’s likely humans have likely taken a few notes from animal behavior over the years‚ not just the other way around. “Probably our ancestors were looking at other animals and learning about medicines‚” he says‚ adding that when social animals communicate‚ “that information sticks and can last over generations.” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here&;#33; The post A World First: Orangutan Spotted Giving Himself Medical Treatment In Unprecedented Footage appeared first on InspireMore.
