Randy Savig of Mid-America Bigfoot Research Center spoke about why he believes that some of the missing people in David Paulides' Missing 411 books might be because of Bigfoot.“Over the past few years‚ I've been reading a lot of David Paulides' Missing 411 books. I really enjoyed them. I enjoyed them immensely and I look back on them‚ and I’ll go through them again. I would encourage everyone to read those books. I certainly don't want to put money in his pocket but I'm telling you‚ something happened to me two years ago while talking with a lady that completely solidified in my mind that some of these creatures are responsible for some of those missing in those 411 books. I have no doubt. Really‚ it's because of what my friend said.I had a friend get to contact me on Facebook. I knew him back when I was 16 and going to church together. His mom's name was Christine. So all these years passed. I was living up in Nebraska. He became my friend on Facebook and he saw all my Bigfoot stuff. He said‚ "Randy‚ I did not know that you know all about Bigfoot. You need to talk to my mom." I said‚" What‚ your mom Christine?" He said‚ "Yes." I used to spend the night with them. His mom was a blonde-haired lady. I said‚ "What?" He said‚ "She has claimed for years that she has seen one in the late 60s up by Challis‚ Idaho"‚ and he said‚ "The whole family was telling her she's crazy and all that stuff." He said‚ "I remember." He was about 3 at the time. He just remembers his mom running by him and his dad and running by the cabin screaming.So I get her on the phone and talk to her. I told her‚ "Listen‚ Christine‚ I've had all these terrible things happen‚ I've seen these creatures‚ I know they're out there. Brian said you had something happen. Could you please tell me what happened?" She said that they were on some of her family's land up in Challis‚ Idaho where they had a cabin and she said Brian and her husband Garland were fishing in a stream or a river and‚ you know‚ it was a shallow rock bottom river and she was sitting with her back to the woods up a hill‚ with her back to the woods. They were moving downstream fishing. Brian was like 3 years old and she said‚ "They're talking and fishing‚" and she was talking with them‚ yelling at them and stuff. She said she just heard a slight movement. She said‚ "I heard a slight shuffle to my left‚" and she said‚ "I looked over my shoulder and right there!" She said‚ "This thing was 2 feet from me‚ was this Gorilla-Man looking at her‚" and she said‚ "It blinked and I immediately started running. I took off screaming and I ran down." She said‚ "I ran by Garland and Brian. I was so terrified‚ I couldn't even tell them." She said‚ "I left them there to die. I had to get to the cabin for safety. I’m in the cabin screaming when Garland shows up and he is like‚ What is happening?" He just thought she saw a bear or something. She told him‚ No! The face of this thing was something between a gorilla and a man and it was looking at her. It had snuck right up on her.This has never been told to anybody because of the way I got in contact with her‚ this information. I said to myself‚ why does a Bigfoot need to get that close to a blonde-haired lady who was sitting with her back to a tree? Why couldn’t he not see her from 50 feet away or 100 feet away? Why did he need to get right up next to her? An Australian teen and her boyfriend were out in his yard late at night when they noticed a tall‚ dark figure observing them from a nearby tree. What was it?I received the following account:"Okay‚ so this is my story. I was 15‚ was at my boyfriend's house and it was about 10:30pm. We were sitting on his trampoline‚ in his backyard which faces a small park behind his house. His yard is on a ground level about a meter (3ish feet) above the ground level the park is on‚ and his fence is on that lower level‚ so by sitting on the trampoline we could see out into the darkness of the park‚ which was just slightly illuminated by his yard lights. We're talking when suddenly I feel an eerie chill like we're being watched. Like something wants us to know we're being watched. I remember glancing all over the place and jumping at the smallest sounds of the night‚ my boyfriend laughing at me‚ and all before he suddenly stilled and rose up onto his knees to look at something in the park."A man is watching us from that tree." Jesus those words still chill me to the core. I froze and asked him to tell me what he was doing. He told me that the man was very tall‚ almost halfway up the tree which was a large Eucalyptus (we live in Queensland‚ Australia)‚ and that only his head and shoulder were really visible and that his eyes were glowing‚ or reflecting the light from his yard lights. I wondered if he was lying and making fun of me again for being paranoid earlier‚ so I sat up and leaned over him to see the thing next to the tree. There it was.It was tall‚ darker than the shadows of the trees‚ and wasn't lit up like the trees were from the lights. Its eyes were shining brightly‚ and it was exceptionally tall. Couldn't be a man‚ if not for the shoulder and arm draped over the tree and so was not an animal either. I fell back onto the trampoline and my boyfriend told me to be quiet and to start moving back towards the house; it was moving towards us. I shook my head. I did not want to move. I couldn't bring myself to move. I was frozen in fear. I don't know‚ but I remember he had to force me up‚ swearing loudly and telling me it was nearly at the fence. I got up and caught a glance of a figure nearly across the short distance from the trees to his yard and booked it to the stairs up to his front door. I glanced back to look again and BF yelled not to‚ that it was climbing over the fence and I somehow moved even faster and made it to the door without tripping up the stairs and breaking a leg. He told me again‚ it had been trying to climb over the fence when I slowed down to take a look.His family is very religious and his father swears it was a demon trying to test their faith or some bullsh*t‚ but I don't think it was. Had another encounter maybe a month later when my boyfriend told me a figure was watching me from the exposed ceiling beams of my old barn-like house during a Facetime call late at night. Maybe a shadow man? Maybe an Australian 'version' of a skinwalker? I am 19 now‚ and I still can't stop thinking about what happened. If anyone knows what this sort of aggressive‚ stalker behavior means and what creature this was please let me know. It was definitely not just some creepy man. A local Chicago television news and media personality contacted me about an encounter that she had while growing up in Muncie‚ Indiana. We have received several anomalous reports from the area."My mom sent me your article because I have also seen the humanoid at Prairie Creek Reservoir! I am originally from Muncie‚ Indiana‚ and grew up spending a lot of time at Prairie Creek because my family has a boat there.It was the summer of 2007 when we took a boat ride and watched the sunset. It was dusk and the sun was setting as we approached our dock. As we got closer my friend and I both saw what looked like a human standing at the end of our dock and thought it was strange because there was no one else around - our neighboring boats were all docked‚ there were no other cars around‚ etc. We were the only one out that evening from our dock area. It then turned around and we saw its glowing yellowish eyes. At this point‚ we were freaked out wondering what this was because there was something totally off about it and it was clearly not a normal human. Then‚ as we got even closer‚ it spread its wings‚ flapped a few times‚ and soared up into the sky. It was WAY too big to be a bird‚ I've never seen anything like it before or after. It was probably around 5-6 feet tall and really dark‚ the whole body and wings were gray/black.Not sure if this is of interest but my family and I also saw a UFO at Prairie Creek Reservoir around dusk as well a few years later. We were one of the only boats on the water‚ it was such a serene‚ quiet‚ and peaceful evening. My mother looked up at the sky and saw the UFO so we all looked up‚ it was shaped like a tin can‚ stayed still‚ and made absolutely no noise. At that instant‚ my father caught a fish and the commotion caused us all to look down‚ and a few seconds later when we looked back up it was gone without a trace." A Navajo Nation resident is at her cousin's house keeping her company. One night‚ an unknown being is knocking on the trailer walls. The next morning human footprints with claws were discovered.The following account was forwarded to me:"Being from the Navajo Nation I have seen a lot of crazy things. Anyone not from here is most likely not to believe me. I have stories about Skinwalkers‚ kachina dolls coming to life‚ Bigfoot‚ werewolves‚ and some type of winged beast‚ but I think the most creepy is one of my Skinwalker stories.So this story takes place in the early 2000s when I was a teenager. My cousin had just had a baby and her husband was called out for a job that would take a couple of weeks. My cousin asked if I would stay with her for two weeks to help her with the baby/work around the house. I was there for a few days and everything was pretty uneventful‚ until the middle of the second week.At night we would hear someone knocking on different sides of the trailer (keep in mind the nearest neighbor was about 5 miles away. This continued for three nights in a row. The fourth night is when things take a turn for the worse.The night starts with the knocking‚ but it progresses to scratching. Worried that someone was trying to break in‚ I summoned the courage to go outside and confront whatever/whoever was messing with us. I only caught a shadow of whatever it was as it ran behind the trailer. I ran around yelling at it‚ "You better run because I'm going to call the cops!" or something to that extent. It was so fast I could not believe it. As I chase it to the front of the trailer it runs through the clothesline. This is where it gets even crazier.It ran towards the utility post and climbed up it‚ clutching something in its hands‚ and began the most eerie laugh I have ever heard. It jumps back down‚ dropping whatever it was holding‚ and runs toward the window of the trailer‚ as if to peek in. My cousin was inside holding the baby. I ran to the window and looked and to my amazement‚ it had disappeared. I run inside and tell my cousin it is gone. Needless to say‚ we didn't sleep well for the rest of the night.The next morning I go outside and look at the window where I had last seen it. I looked at the ground and saw bare footprints‚ however‚ these were no ordinary footprints. The best way I can describe it was a human footprint with claws (like a dog or wolf). I went to the utility pole and found what it had been clutching the night before. It was my niece's tiny little shirt. Hulu has reversed its decision to reject an advertisement for a Texas church’s weeknight service‚ after spurning it twice as being “religious indoctrination.” The Fort Worth‚ Texas-based Hulen Street Church created an ad to advertise its new Thursday night service‚ which “the church successfully placed … through Facebook‚ Instagram‚ and Google ads‚” according to First Liberty Institute‚ a nonprofit law firm advocating on behalf of the church.  However‚ “despite seeming to fit Hulu’s announced advertising policy‚ Hulu originally rejected the ad twice‚” the Plano‚ Texas-based law firm said.   The 22-second advertisement included a simple invitation‚ in which the church’s pastor‚ Wes Hamilton‚ asks: “Does your work schedule or busy family calendar not allow you to attend church on a Sunday morning? If so‚ I want to invite you to Thursday nights at Hulen Street Church beginning on February 1st.” According to the First Liberty Institute‚ when Hamilton asked for Hulu’s reason for refusing to broadcast the ad‚ “it said that the ad violated policies against ‘religious indoctrination’ due to asking viewer to attend Thursday services.”    “The words ‘Religious Indoctrination’ appear nowhere in Hulu’s published ad policy‚” First Liberty noted.   First Liberty Institute senior counsel Jeremy Dys sent a letter to the Disney-owned Hulu’s deputy chief counsel‚ Angie Kang‚ on Monday.   “We write to raise concerns about Hulu’s policy against ‘religious indoctrination’ in its ad-placement program and the inconsistent application of that policy against the church‚” the letter stated.  Dys said‚ “Hulu certainly cannot believe that advertising for a church runs a greater risk of ‘indoctrination’ than ads promoting alcohol‚ casinos‚ and dating apps.”  “We ask that Hulu clarify its policy concerning ‘Religious Indoctrination’ to make clear that religious speech‚ like that contemplated by the advertisement in question‚ is welcome on its platform‚” he wrote.  “Further‚ we request that Hulu immediately allow Hulen Street Church’s Thursday night services ad to run on Hulu’s local ad platform‚” Dys wrote.  “Hulu would do well to address these problems before it may be forced to do so under Texas law‚” the letter added.   Two days after the letter was sent to Hulu’s management‚ the streaming service reversed itself and accepted the church’s service ad.   “We are grateful to Hulu for its quick response to our demand letter and for accepting Hulen Street Church’s ad‚” Dys said. “In the future‚ Hulu—and others in Big Tech—could avoid these kinds of conflicts by adopting advertising policies that do not discriminate against religious organizations‚ being transparent about its advertising policy‚ and applying it fairly.”   Requests for comment from Hulu were not returned at the time of publication. Hunter Biden derided the House impeachment inquiry as “MAGA-motivated conspiracies about my father” in an opening statement Wednesday during his deposition before congressional investigators.  By contrast‚ House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer‚ R-Ky.‚ said his and two other committees were deposing the president’s son because he is a “key witness in our investigation of President Joe Biden.”  Comer also called the conduct unearthed so far “Public Corruption 101.” After the seven-hour deposition wrapped‚ Hunter Biden’s lawyer Abbe Lowell briefly talked to reporters.  “The Republican majority ends the day where they started‚” Lowell said‚ as Hunter Biden stood behind him. “They have produced no evidence that would support the notion that there was any financial transaction that involved Hunter with his father‚ period.” As they walked away‚ a reporter shouted‚ “Mr. Biden‚ is the cocaine at the White House yours?” referring to cocaine discovered at the White House last summer. Another reporter asked if he would return for a public hearing. Neither Hunter Biden nor Lowell answered. Matt Gaetz‚ R-Fla.‚ also briefed reporters.  “It is a mirage to believe that Hunter Biden was engaged in international business‚” Gaetz said. “This was a bribe masquerading as an international business transaction—nothing more‚ nothing less.” Hunter Biden was subpoenaed earlier to testify behind closed doors to committee investigators‚ but showed up on the Senate side of the Capitol only to make a defiant speech outside.  On a later occasion‚ before House Oversight was about to approve a contempt citation‚ the president’s son sat briefly in the hearing room with his lawyers and a benefactor.  “What was the Biden family business? That’s been a big question of this whole investigation‚” Comer told reporters Wednesday morning before going into the hearing room. “Biden family associates testified that Joe Biden was the brand. President Biden has repeatedly lied to the American people that he never interacted with his son’s associates‚” Comey said. “But when Joe Biden was vice president‚ he spoke to his son’s associates by speakerphone over 20 times. He dined with foreign oligarchs and a Burisma executive‚ and had coffee with his son’s Chinese associate.” Burisma Holdings is a major Ukrainian energy company that previously employed and paid Hunter Biden as a board member.  Comer also talked about Hunter Biden and James Biden’s work with CEFC China Energy‚ an energy conglomerate linked to the Chinese Communist Party‚ specifically a $40‚000 check that went to Joe Biden.  “The Bidens received a $3 million payment [from CEFC] as a thank you for work completed while Joe Biden was vice president‚” Comer said. This is Public Corruption 101.” But Rep. NASHVILLE‚ Tenn.—Anat Sultan-Dadon‚ Israel’s consul general to the southeastern United States‚ says that now is the time to visit the Jewish state‚ to show solidarity amid the war against Hamas. She also condemned South Africa’s accusation of genocide against Israel. “By all means‚ this is the time to visit Israel‚” Sultan-Dadon tells “The Daily Signal Podcast” in an interview at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention. “Yes‚ we have a war that we are conducting in Gaza in order to ensure that there is no war in Gaza‚” she adds. “Our southern border is safe. We are working to ensure that our northern border is safe‚ and this is the time to come and support Israel and Israelis on the ground.” Sultan-Dadon also urges listeners to “use their voices” amid calls for Israel to implement a cease-fire in Gaza. She turned those calls around on those making them. “Use your voice to call on Hamas to cease their fire‚ to call on Hamas to surrender‚ to lay down their weapons‚ and to release all of the remaining hostages” from its Oct. 7 attack‚ the consul general adds. As of last Wednesday‚ they “have now been spending 138 days in brutal captivity.” Last month‚ the International Court of Justice began hearing arguments on South Africa’s accusation that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Sultan-Dadon condemns that as “shameful.” “It is shameful that South Africa chooses to represent a terror organization‚ a terror organization‚ Hamas‚ that has no political goal‚” she says. “Its goal is genocidal. The attack that they carried out on Oct. 7‚ Hamas’ leadership states that they will carry out Oct. 7 again and again and again.” On Oct. 7‚ Hamas invaded Israel from Gaza‚ slaughtering more than 1‚200 people—including civilians such as women‚ and children—and taking hundreds of hostages. Hamas terrorists raped and tortured their victims and bragged about slaughtering Jews. “So‚ while we are facing an attack by a genocidal terror organization‚ an organization whose charter includes the goal of wiping Israel off the map‚ off the face of the earth‚ we are the ones that have to defend ourselves from an accusation of genocide‚” Sultan-Dadon notes. She lays out the absurdity of the accusation by noting the different ways Israel and Hamas make war. “We are the ones who are doing more than any other army has done in order to protect the lives of uninvolved civilians‚” Sultan-Dadon notes. “We are doing so while Hamas is doing the exact opposite—using their civilians as human shields‚ putting them intentionally in harm’s way. Because in their thwarted minds‚ the more Palestinians who are killed‚ the better it serves their twisted agenda in harming Israel.” “It is time that the international community‚ the United Nations‚ the international organs‚ do what they should be doing‚ standing on the right side of history‚” she adds. “If one stands for life‚ for freedom‚ for humanity‚ one should be standing together with us as we are fighting to defeat this evil‚ to defeat a genocidal terror organization that glorifies death and destruction.” She also notes that Hamas would not have been able to carry out the terrorist attacks of Oct. 7 without the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran. “The larger destabilizing force that is behind the terror that we are seeing is the ayatollah’s regime of Iran‚” Sultan-Dadon says. “Iran is funding‚ training‚ and equipping not just Hamas. They have many terror proxies in the region‚ including Hezbollah in Lebanon‚ including the Houthis in Yemen‚ terror elements in Iraq‚ terror elements in Syria.” She calls on the international community to block Tehran’s nuclear plan and its “fomenting of terror in the region.” “What they stand for is in stark contradiction to everything that we believe in‚” Sultan-Dadon adds. “We sanctify life. Congress created and empowered the Securities and Exchange Commission to help enforce U.S. securities laws.  The SEC’s unique structure and broad powers have long been controversial and subjected to constitutional challenges—including one currently being brought by Elon Musk.  Only a few years ago‚ the U.S. Supreme Court held that the SEC’s mechanism for appointing its in-house administrative law judges—individuals who help resolve disputed matters—violated the Constitution’s Appointments Clause. Those individuals functioned as officers of the United States‚ yet neither the president‚ nor the SEC’s commissioners had appointed them as required by the Constitution. Instead‚ lower-level staff had done that job. The Constitution’s Appointments Clause explicitly provides that the president “shall nominate‚ and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate‚ shall appoint” certain officials “and all other Officers of the United States.” And it provides that for inferior officers‚ “Congress may by Law vest” their appointment “in the President alone‚ in the Courts of Law‚ or in the Heads of Departments.” If the president or an agency head didn’t appoint an officer‚ that’s unconstitutional. But who qualifies as an officer—as opposed to merely an employee—of the federal government?  That latter category comprises most who work for the federal government‚ and neither the president‚ nor their agency head needs to appoint them. The Supreme Court has set out some guidelines about how to tell if someone is an officer or an employee‚ but it’s not always clear. Still‚ if someone exercises significant governmental authority‚ that person likely qualifies as an officer. While this distinction has a theoretical quality to it‚ it carries real-world consequences—just ask Musk. This officer-versus-employee dispute will play out in a California federal courtroom as Musk challenges the authority of certain SEC staff to compel him to provide testimony related to his acquisition of X (formerly Twitter).  Those staffers issued an administrative subpoena to him‚ but Musk argues they didn’t have the authority to do that. He says that because of their extensive authority‚ they’re officers—who have not been properly appointed according to the Constitution. Moreover‚ Musk argues that because those SEC staffers are actually officers‚ their extensive removal protections also violate the Constitution’s Take Care Clause. In other words‚ the president can’t “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed” because he can’t remove these officials responsible for carrying those laws into execution. Relatedly‚ the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals held not long ago that the removal protections for the SEC’s administrative law judges violate the Constitution. The SEC asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review and overturn that decision. The court agreed to hear the case‚ but has yet to issue its decision. Musk‚ along with fellow billionaire Mark Cuban and several others filed an amicus (friend of court) brief in that case‚ asking the Supreme Court to uphold the 5th Circuit’s decision.    Musk says that because the outcome of that case could affect his case‚ the lower federal court hearing his case should stop his proceedings until the Supreme Court issues its decision. A magistrate judge overseeing the case disagreed with Musk and ruled in favor of the SEC—before embarrassingly realizing she didn’t have any authority to hear the case. Now‚ it has been reassigned to a federal district court judge appointed by President Joe Biden. Buried in a footnote in one of his filings‚ Musk suggests that he may take aim more broadly at the administrative state and ask the Supreme Court to overturn Humphrey’s Executor‚ a 1935 case in which‚ as Musk explains in his filing‚ the court held that “Congress may cabin the President’s removal authority in certain limited ways‚ including by imposing for-cause removal requirements with respect to the heads of certain multimember agencies.” Musk notes that that decision “has been subject to emphatic and persuasive criticism for many decades‚” and that while overruling that decision is “not necessary to invalidate” the SEC’s subpoena‚ he “reserves the right to ask the Supreme Court to overrule Humphrey’s Executor in this litigation.” The bottom line is that while the outcome of this particular dispute between the SEC and Musk is unclear‚ Musk has raised many important issues concerning the structure of the SEC and the scope of its broad powers. His arguments‚ if successful‚ could have broad application to dismantling the administrative state as we know it. Have an opinion about this article?
