Laken Riley SHOULD be alive‚ but her death can't be fully pinned on the border crisis

Laken Riley was a 22-year-old nursing student at the University of Georgia — but now she is a victim of a heinous crime. Riley was going for a run on campus this past Thursday when a Venezuelan illegal immigrant allegedly kidnapped and killed her. The 26-year-old immigrant‚ Joe Antonio Ibarra‚ beat her so brutally that he disfigured her skull. Ibarra had reportedly crossed into the U.S. illegally near El Paso in September 2022‚ and the border patrol caught him‚ gave him a ticket‚ and released him into the U.S. He was then arrested in New York and was charged with acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17 as well as with a motor vehicle license violation. It’s an undeniably horrific tragedy‚ but the response from the press has also been grotesque. In a CNN report‚ they claimed that “there’s little evidence linking illegal immigration and crime after the Venezuelan migrant was charged in connection with murder of the 22-year-old Georgia nursing student.” Glenn Beck is disgusted by the response‚ but they’re not entirely wrong. “It’s not entirely true. It is the administration’s new regulations and guidelines that are letting all of these people in. We’re having all of these problems because of the new guidelines‚” Glenn explains. “That’s what’s causing crime. We’re not enforcing our laws at the border‚ and then we’re not enforcing our laws in our cities. Our government isn’t enforcing the law‚ our DA’s aren’t enforcing the law‚ and that’s why you have criminals going crazy‚” he adds. Voters leave CNN anchor shocked over the effectiveness of a Biden protest in Michigan's Dem primary: 'Big problem'

CNN anchor John King expressed shock on Tuesday over the high concentration of "uncommitted" voters in Dearborn‚ Michigan. To protest President Joe Biden's stance on the Israel-Hamas war‚ Muslim American Democratic voters campaigned for like-minded voters to select "uncommitted" in Tuesday's primary election. Their goal? Send a message to the president.Unfortunately for Biden‚ they accomplished their mission. While reviewing results from Dearborn — a majority-Muslim city near Detroit — during CNN's election-night broadcast‚ King expressed awe at the effectiveness of the "uncommitted" protest. At the time‚ "uncommitted" was beating Biden by a 3-1 margin."That's a wow‚" King admitted. "This is just the city of Dearborn. But that is where the biggest pocket of the Muslim American‚ the Arab-American population. This is a place President Biden carried big-time in 2020. This is key to his chances of defeating Donald Trump in Michigan."King‚ moreover‚ described the result as Biden's "big problem" because it could hurt his re-election chances."Muslim Americans — who were critical‚ absolutely critical to [Biden's] big margin in Michigan in 2020 — are telling the president tonight that they are mad‚" King summarized. — (@) One of those "uncommitted" voters was Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.)‚ whose congressional district includes Dearborn."I was proud today to walk in and pull a Democratic ballot and vote uncommitted. We must protect our democracy. We must make sure that our government is about us — about the people‚" Tlaib said after her vote. "When 74% of Democrats in Michigan support a ceasefire‚ yet President Biden is not hearing us‚ this is the way we can use our democracy to say 'listen.'"Even worse for Biden‚ the Detroit Free Press spoke with some Dearborn voters who‚ having voted for Biden in 2020‚ were unsure if they would support him in 2024.Those voters aren't suddenly going to support Donald Trump. But their reticence to support Biden demonstrates how Biden's re-election campaign is going to be anything but easy‚ especially when he has to win over voters who previously supported him.In the end‚ Dearborn residents selected "uncommitted" over Biden by a margin of 56% to 40%‚ according to the city's unofficial results.Like Blaze News? Rep. Lauren Boebert's 18-year-old son arrested in connection with alleged vehicle break-ins‚ identity theft

Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado recently admitted that the last year has been "pretty difficult" for her family‚ and their difficulties don't seem to have abated much at all in 2024. Now‚ Boebert's oldest son‚ 18-year-old Tyler Boebert‚ has been arrested and faces nearly two dozen charges.Around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday‚ police arrested Tyler in connection with "a recent string of vehicle trespass and property thefts in Rifle‚" Colorado‚ where Rep. Boebert and her children live. He was booked into Garfield County Jail on 22 charges: four felony counts each of criminal possession of a financial device and criminal possession of identification documents‚ one felony count of conspiracy to commit‚ three misdemeanor counts of first-degree criminal trespass auto with intent to commit a crime‚ four misdemeanor counts of ID theft‚ three misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor‚ and three petty offense counts of theft of less than $300.Young Boebert is still in custody‚ and the investigation into his alleged offenses remains "ongoing‚" Rifle Police said. The Daily Mail reached out to Lauren Boebert for comment on her son's arrest. This is not Tyler's only interaction with law enforcement this year. Last month‚ he called the cops after his father‚ Jayson Boebert‚ Rep. Boebert's ex-husband‚ allegedly stuck his thumb inside the young man's mouth with such force that Tyler feared he might lose a tooth. Jayson was later charged with harassment‚ prohibited use of a weapon‚ and third-degree assault.Jayson Boebert was also arrested and charged after a heated argument with Lauren Boebert at a restaurant a few days before the alleged altercation with his son. In connection with the dust-up with Lauren‚ Jayson was arrested and charged with third-degree assault‚ prohibited use of weapons‚ obstructing a peace officer‚ harassment‚ disorderly conduct‚ and third-degree trespassing. These charges and other accusations allowed Lauren Boebert‚ 37‚ to secure a temporary restraining order against her ex‚ preventing him from coming within 100 yards of her or the three minor children they share. The restraining order does not include Tyler since he is an adult. In court documents‚ Lauren claimed that Jayson had "made multiple suicidal threats and threats to harm [her] over the past 14 months." Jayson has stated that he would "never harm" his ex-wife. "I just want to move on and be in peace‚" he told the AP.Like Blaze News? NFL star Tyreek Hill sued by plus-size model who says he broke her leg performing offensive lineman drills in his back yard

An NFL wide receiver is being sued by a social media influencer after the woman allegedly fractured her leg while simulating football activities at his home.Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill‚ who is often described as the fastest player in the NFL‚ has been sued by Sophie Hall after an alleged injury. The 35-year-old plus-size model from England is suing Hall for battery‚ assault‚ and negligence. The lawsuit stems from Hill allegedly messaging Hall over Instagram after she purchased a ticket for her son to attend his football camp in June 2023. Hall alleged that after she bought a ticket to the "Tyreek Hill Football Camp‚" the NFL player messaged her in a "flirtatious and playful manner‚" by telling her she isn't 6'1"‚ which she claims to be in her social media bio.Hill‚ whom the NFL lists at 5'10"‚ then reportedly told Hall that she would be "towering over everyone" at the football camp. Hill then said that "I’ve been know [sic] to be a good stepdad."The conversation was corroborated by screenshots‚ Fox News reported. The social media model claimed that Hill provided his phone number after the camp's conclusion and invited her to his house. The lawsuit continued that Hill paid for the flight and travel arrangements for Hall. While Hall was at what was described as Hill's mansion‚ the wide receiver was working out on a turf field on the property. Following the session‚ Hill allegedly "invited Ms. Hall to participate in offensive line drills with him."The two allegedly engaged in football drills‚ which soon resulted in the injury."Defendant Hill asked Ms. Hall to stand in a defensive line stance while he stood opposite her in an offensive lineman stance‚ ‘hiked’ the ball to the quarterback‚ and told her to rush him as if she wanted to chase the quarterback‚" the lawsuit stated. "Ms. Hall did as instructed and on contact with the Defendant‚ caused Hill to be pushed backwards."The lawsuit claimed that the all-pro was "humiliated" as his mother‚ sister‚ friend‚ and trainer all laughed at him. Hall also alleged that Hill "became angry" while preparing for another play. The two then changed roles‚ putting Hill as the rushing player. Despite a claim that "Ms. Hall held her own against Mr. Hill‚" on the next play‚ a fourth iteration of the drill allegedly had Hill charge into Hall "violently and with great force‚ resulting in significant and serious injuries.""The crushing force was so great that she sustained a right leg fracture‚ necessitating surgery with metal hardware implantation‚" the lawsuit described. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sophie Hall (@sophiesselfies224) The legal action was filed in Broward County Court‚ in Florida‚ over "intentional and reckless misconduct" on the part of the Miami Dolphins player.Hall is seeking $50‚000 after her lawsuit said that Hill "failed to get her any medical attention or treatment at any time." The filing said that Hill downplayed her injury and "simply told her to rest and offered her a bed to lay down and ice her leg."Hall allegedly stayed at the football player's house until she was able to travel home a couple of days later. Upon her return‚ she was reportedly diagnosed with a right leg fracture‚ resulting in "weekly physical therapy sessions." The plaintiff claimed that she still has "persistent pain and weakness in her lower extremities." — (@) In addition‚ the lawsuit claimed that "defendant Hill’s aggression towards Ms. Hall is consistent with his history of violent and aggressive behavior towards women."Hill was charged with felonious assault and battery by strangulation in 2014‚ to which he pleaded guilty and received three years of probation through a plea agreement.Hill’s agent‚ Drew Rosenhaus‚ did not respond to requests for comment from Fox News. Chicago cop sues to change race‚ citing alleged promotion discrimination — argues officers can choose ‘gender identity’

A Chicago Police Department officer recently filed a lawsuit against the city after he claims the law enforcement department refuses to allow him to change his race despite allowing officers to choose their so-called "gender identity‚" Fox News Digital reported.Mohammad Yusuf‚ 43‚ sued Chicago last week‚ stating that his official records claim he is "Caucasian" when he "currently identifies as Egyptian and African American."The lawsuit explains that when Yusuf joined the department in 2004‚ it only offered three racial designations‚ including Caucasian‚ Black‚ and Hispanic. At the time‚ Yusuf chose "Caucasian." According to the suit‚ Yusuf "was compelled to identify as Caucasian‚ despite not identifying as white."Now‚ the new department recruit can choose between "over nine" race selections‚ including "Black or African American‚" "Hispanic or Latino‚" "White‚" "American Indian or Alaska Native‚" "Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander‚" "Two or more races‚" or "I choose not to disclose." Yusuf has since attempted to change his racial designation on his official records‚ even allegedly providing the results of a "23 and Me" genetic test. According to the officer‚ the department told him that changing his racial designation was "not possible."Yusuf's lawsuit explains that the CPD has allowed officers' "gender identity [to be] corrected to match their lived experience.""While other CPD officers can correct their gender to match their gender identity‚ other officers‚ like Yusuf‚ are barred from obtaining accurate racial designations matching their racial identity‚" the suit read. His complaint further claims that his racial designation is preventing him from receiving promotions‚ as the department allegedly rarely provides those advancement opportunities to Caucasian applicants. Yusuf argued that the CPD's promotional system "particularly" benefits "minority candidates."According to the lawsuit‚ the 20-year veteran "scored in the first promotional tier" on the sergeant's exam in 2019 but has yet to receive the promotion. There have been "over 75 Merit Promotions to sergeant‚" and "less than five" were granted to officers who identify as Caucasian‚ the complaint alleged."Despite Yusuf's exemplary qualifications and the purported race-neutral policy of the Merit System‚ Yusuf has been repeatedly bypassed for promotion in favor of less qualified candidates‚ based on their race‚ specifically African American officers‚ some of whom had disciplinary issues and were not suitable for the responsibilities of a sergeant‚" Yusuf's lawsuit claimed."The Racial Identity Policy Ban facially and intentionally discriminates against certain individuals based on personally identifiable characteristics like race‚" he stated. The CPD told Fox News Digital that it does not comment on pending litigation.Like Blaze News? Ex Witcher 3 dev’s strategy game gets huge new expansion‚ out now

After spending years working on one of videogames' top dark fantasy series‚ you might think that former The Witcher 3 producer Stan Just and the studio he founded‚ Covenant‚ would be tired of creating grimy‚ folklore-inspired worlds. This didn't turn out to be the case. The first game to come out from Covenant was last year's Gord‚ a strategy and adventure hybrid‚ not unlike Frostpunk‚ that debuted another spin on Slavic mythology and fictional‚ early Medieval Era inspired hardship. Now‚ though the base game has only been out for less than a year‚ there's a massive new DLC expansion available now.
