Steve Bannon Predicts Leftists Will Sentence Trump To “Multiple Years In Prison”

by Steve Watson, Modernity News: Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon has warned that the left will stop at nothing to prevent Trump from regaining the White House and that they plan to sentence him to “multiple years in prison” next month. Speaking at Turning Point Action’s “The People’s Convention” in Detroit, Bannon warned “You know on […]

Paying with cash? We charge extra for that!

from WND: In days gone by, American consumers used to, occasionally, get a discount for paying cash for a product or service. The sellers had the revenue immediately. There was no lag time at a credit card company, or bank. And retailers found that helpful. Now it’s just the opposite. A Houston Herald report tells how Noa […]

Rumors Swirl That if Sleepy Joe Bombs at the Debate, Then He’s Out as Democrat Nominee

by JD Rucker, Discern Report: Is Joe Biden too mentally shot to be the Democrats’ nominee? If so, how can he continue as president? When it was first announced that Joe Biden had agreed to debate Donald Trump and would do so in June, my first thought was that it was the Democrats’ attempt to […]

Easy Lemon Rolls

These Easy Lemon Rolls are unbelievably light, with an airy texture and a refreshingly lemony flavor. The crunchy topping offsets the tender bite inside perfectly. Easy lemon rolls are here to become your new favorite citrus breakfast piece! In This Article 1-Minute Video: Easy Lemon RollsWhy This Recipe Stands OutKey Recipe IngredientsSubstitutions and variationsStep-by-Step Recipe InstructionsHow To Prep AheadCommonly Asked QuestionsEasy Lemon Rolls RecipeMore to Bake and eat View more 1-Minute Video: Easy Lemon Rolls Why This Recipe Stands Out This is one of our all-time favorite lemon recipes. Here’s what you’ll love: Start with Frozen Rolls: We love a simple recipe, and this one uses frozen dinner rolls and only a few other ingredients. Easy for Brunch: This recipe is perfect for a leisurely weekend brunch and is if you’re wondering what to serve on Mother’s Day. Big Lemon Flavor: The lemony glaze is made with fresh lemon juice for the best flavors, just like in our Lemon Blueberry Bread recipe. Family & Friends: Everyone in the family loves them, including the kids, just like these best-ever, most lemony lemon bars! Key Recipe Ingredients Frozen White Dinner Rolls – We use 12 frozen white dinner rolls for this recipe. Make sure to get raw, unbaked dough, such as Rhodes frozen dinner rolls. Lemon Zest – It adds a bright, citrusy flavor to the rolls that complement the sweetness of the sugar and the richness of the butter. I use this microplane zester for easy lemon/lime zesting. Salted Butter – We melted butter to infuse the rolls with savory flavor. Powdered Sugar and Fresh Lemon Juice – A combo of powdered sugar and fresh lemon juice creates a sweet-tangy glaze that takes these rolls to the next level! Substitutions and variations Here are some of our favorite variations and substitutions to make with this recipe: Homemade Dough: Instead of using frozen white dinner rolls, you can use homemade dough. Try using the dough from our Homemade Cinnamon Rolls or even our Pizza Dough to make these lemon rolls. Honey or Maple Syrup: If you prefer a less sweet glaze, you can reduce the amount of sugar in the glaze. You can also substitute the sugar with honey or maple syrup for a different flavor. Glaze vs. Frosting: For a fun twist, try adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the glaze for a lemon-vanilla flavor. Or, if you’re a fan of cream cheese frosting, try using our Cream Cheese Frosting from our Carrot Cake instead of the lemon glaze. Step-by-Step Recipe Instructions Thaw frozen dinner rolls until no longer frozen but still cold. Cut rolls in half and arrange them in a greased baking pan. Drizzle melted butter over the rolls and sprinkle a third of the lemon zest/sugar mixture on top. Let the rolls rise for about an hour. Sprinkle the remaining zest/sugar mixture over the rolls and bake at 350F for 16-18 minutes. While the rolls are baking, make the glaze by combining powdered sugar, lemon juice, and milk. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve. For full list of ingredients and instructions, see recipe card below. How To Prep Ahead Take a look at our best prep-ahead tips for this recipe: Night Before: These lemon rolls can be assembled the night before. The next morning, let them come to room temp and rise, and then bake as directed and drizzle with glaze. Make Ahead: You can also make the entire recipe ahead of time. After baking, let the rolls cool completely, then store them in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Warm in the oven before serving. Freeze Them: You can also make the lemon rolls completely, including the glaze, and freeze them. They’ll last for a month in the freezer. When you’re ready to enjoy them, just let them thaw at room temperature or warm them up in the microwave. Make these easy lemon rolls the night before, minus the drizzle. In the morning, drizzle ‘n devour. Commonly Asked Questions How do I know when the rolls are done? The lemon rolls are done when they turn a beautiful golden color. This should take about 16-18 minutes in the oven. Can I use fresh dinner roll dough instead of frozen? Yes, you can. If you prefer to use fresh dinner roll dough, simply replace the frozen rolls with the equivalent amount of fresh dough. You may need to adjust the rising time as fresh dough may rise faster. What type of pan should I use? You can use a 9×13 baking pan or two round cake pans. Make sure to grease the pans with butter before arranging the rolls. How long do the lemon rolls keep? These lemon rolls are best enjoyed fresh on the day they are made. However, if you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also warm them up in the oven before serving. Print Easy Lemon Rolls These easy lemon rolls are unbelievably light, with an airy texture and a refreshingly lemony flavor. Butter a 9×13 baking pan or two round cake pans.  Cut rolls in half and arrange in pan cut-side down, 1/2 inch apart.  Drizzle with melted butter, evenly over rolls.Mix lemon zest and sugar together in a bowl.  Sprinkle a third of the zest/sugar mixture evenly over the rolls. Cover and let rise until rolls are doubled in size, approx. 1 hour, depending on your room temp. (Tip: I covered my baking pan with an equal-sized baking pan in lieu of cling wrap, to give room for rolls to rise upward.)Preheat oven to 350F, with rack on lower middle. Carefully sprinkle remaining zest/sugar mixture evenly over the rolls.Bake 16-18 minutes or just until golden. Combine glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls.  Serve warm. Video Notes If baked the night before, let the rolls cool completely.  Cover and let sit at room temp until ready to reheat. To ensure your easy lemon rolls turn out perfect, make sure to only thaw the frozen dinner rolls until they are no longer frozen but still cold. This will allow them to rise properly and maintain a light, fluffy texture. Butter your baking pan before arranging the rolls. This will not only prevent them from sticking, but also add a delicious buttery flavor to the rolls. When letting the rolls rise, cover them with an equal-sized baking pan or tea towel to give them room to rise upward. This will help to keep the heat around the rolls and prevent them from drying out. Be sure to sprinkle the remaining zest and sugar mixture over the rolls just before baking. This will give them a beautiful, golden crust and a sweet, citrusy flavor. For the glaze, drizzle it over the rolls while they are still warm. This allows the glaze to seep into the rolls, keeping them moist and adding a wonderfully sweet and tangy lemon flavor.   If you enjoyed this recipe, please come back and give it a rating. Strawberry Caprese Salad

This Strawberry Caprese Salad is simple yet stunning! It’s healthy, quick, and tastes irresistibly delicious. You’ll want extra balsamic glaze to pour onto everything! Strawberry Avocado Caprese Salad takes only 6 ingredients and 15 minutes. In This Article Why This Recipe Stands OutKey Recipe IngredientsSubstitutions And VariationsStep-By-Step Recipe InstructionsHow To Prep AheadWhat To Serve With Strawberry Caprese SaladCommonly Asked QuestionsStrawberry Caprese Salad RecipeMore To Make And Eat View more Why This Recipe Stands Out Strawberry Caprese Salad is the perfect summer twist on your Classic Caprese Salad. Here’s what you’ll get: Easy and Pretty: This simple summer salad recipe comes together in just 15 minutes but is impressive enough to serve to guests. Tastes Like Summer: This Strawberry Caprese Salad will be on rotation for the rest of summer. It’s jam packed with all our favorite summer fruits and veggies. NOT Boring: We’re a fan of all the strawberry recipes – especially when they’re in season. This isn’t your typical caprese recipe! It’s Healthy: Luscious berries, creamy avocado, fresh basil, and rich balsamic vinaigrette is 100% in the healthy category. Key Recipe Ingredients Fresh Strawberries: Start off with the freshest, ripest, sweetest berries you can get. Our favorite are, of course, organic local strawberries fresh off the vine. Fresh Basil: If you’re lucky enough to grow your own basil, you’ve got this part down. Otherwise, be sure to buy fresh basil. Cherry Tomatoes: We prefer cherry tomatoes for this recipe because of their summery sweetness and perfect level of crunch. Avocado: Look for avocado that are ripe yet still firm enough to easily slice. Save the too-soft ones for this 5-Minute Guacamole. Mozzarella: Fresh pearl mozzarella balls are our favorite for this recipe because of their ease and cuteness. Balsamic Vinegar: Get your hands on the best balsamic vinegar that you can get. For tips on buying and reducing balsamic, check out our Balsamic Glaze Recipe. Substitutions And Variations Check out these delicious variations: Add Protein: Make this a full meal, by adding grilled shrimp or chicken like we do in this Grilled Chicken Caprese Salad Recipe. Make it Vegan: Strawberry Caprese salad can easily be made vegan by omitting the mozzarella or replacing it with a vegan substitute or even cubed tofu. Play with the Herbs: While basil is essential for a traditional Caprese salad, we like sprinkling in some extra herbs in the summer. Fresh mint pairs amazingly with strawberries. Sweeten the Balsamic Reduction: For a sweeter balsamic reduction, add a spoonful of honey while it is still hot after reducing it. Step-By-Step Recipe Instructions In a saucepan, bring Balsamic vinegar to a boil and stir until reduced by half. Transfer to a bowl and let cool completely. Prepare all ingredients and gently fold together in a bowl. Plate, add salt and pepper to taste, and drizzle with Balsamic reduction. For full list of ingredients and instructions, see recipe card below. How To Prep Ahead Here are a few tips and tricks for preparing Strawberry Caprese Salad ahead of time while maintaining peak freshness: Pre-Chop Ingredients: The strawberries, cherry tomatoes, and basil can be chopped a day in advance and stored in an airtight container in the fridge. Prep Balsamic Reduction: Balsamic reduction will stay fresh covered at room temperature for up to 24 hours. You can also refrigerate it for 2 weeks. Assemble Salad in Advance: Feel free to assemble the entire salad, minus the dressing, several hours in advance. For best results, wait to add the glaze until serving. Avocado-Storing: We recommend waiting to cut the avocado as long as possible to avoid oxidation. You can also squeeze some fresh lime on it to keep it fresh longer. What To Serve With Strawberry Caprese Salad Protein This salad is the perfect healthy side for all your favorite barbeque recipes. Try serving it with these Grilled Chicken Thighs with the Best Marinade. We also think these Grilled Shrimp Kabobs make for the perfect light, healthy summer meal paired with Strawberry Caprese Salad. Starches Put more of your fresh, summer herbs to use by baking up a loaf of this perfectly, aromatic Rosemary Garlic Bread. This Potato Salad with Honey Mustard Vinaigrette is the perfect summer side to pair with this dish. Desserts Have some extra strawberries left over? Throw together this super easy and delicious No Bake Strawberry Icebox Cake. We can’t get enough of this refreshing homemade Strawberry Ice Cream served after a hearty summer meal. Commonly Asked Questions How long does Strawberry Caprese Salad keep? Store Strawberry Caprese Salad in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. We recommend keeping the balsamic reduction separate from the salad until ready to serve. What could I substitute for strawberries in this recipe? Peaches make a great strawberry substitute in this recipe, pairing amazingly with all of the Caprese flavors. Either substitute them directly in this recipe or check out our Peach Caprese Salad. Will reducing Balsamic vinegar make it sweet? It depends on the quality of the Balsamic vinegar you’re using. A higher quality vinegar will tend to get sweeter as it reduces, whereas a lower quality bottle will keep more of that acidic vinegar taste. If you prefer a sweeter Balsamic reduction, feel free to stir in some honey or pure maple syrup right after reducing it while it’s still hot. How can I tell when my avocados are perfectly ripe? For this recipe, we’re looking for just barely ripe, firm avocados. So, look for an avocado that’s firm to the touch (not squishy but a little bit of give is fine). The color should be purple-ish black with still some green mixed in. One of our favorite ways to check if the avocado’s overripe is by simply pulling off the little stem on top. If it’s dark under the stem, it’s overripe. If it’s green, it’s perfect! What are some other kinds of cheese that would work with this recipe? In addition to mozzarella cheese, we also love feta, goat cheese, and blue cheese with salads like this. The possibilities are endless. This Caesar Pasta Salad recipe is satisfying and boasts classic Caesar salad flavors in every bite. It’s a simple, easy, and incredibly delish meal that’s great for weeknights! This Caesar pasta salad is perfect for barbecues, picnics, or as a quick weeknight dinner. In This Article 1-Minute Video: Caesar Pasta SaladWhy This Recipe Stands OutKey Recipe IngredientsSubstitutions and variationsStep-by-Step Recipe InstructionsHow To Prep AheadWhat To Serve With CAESAR PASTA SALADCommonly Asked QuestionsCaesar Pasta Salad Recipe RecipeMore to cook and eat View more 1-Minute Video: Caesar Pasta Salad Why This Recipe Stands Out This Caesar pasta salad is one of our favorite summer salad recipes. Here is why it stands out: Tastes Like Your Favorite Caesar Salad: This pasta salad is a twist on classic Caesar flavors like those in our Caesar Salad recipe. Creamy, Succulent Dressing: The homemade Caesar dressing is creamy, savory, and garlicky. Perfect for Parties: This salad is a total crowd-pleaser! It’s our go-to recipe for gatherings. Easy to Change up: Easily customize this salad by adding protein. It also pairs great with grilled meats like our Grilled Chicken Breast. Meal-Prep Easy: Just like our popular Potato Salad, you can make this salad ahead of time. Key Recipe Ingredients Mayonnaise – This is the base of our dressing and gives it a creamy, rich texture. Anchovy Paste – Do not fear the anchovy! It can be daunting to choose the right one; here is the one I use. It adds a depth of umami flavor that can’t be gained otherwise. Parmesan – We use it both in the dressing and as a garnish for its salty, nutty flavor. Romaine Lettuce – It provides a crisp, fresh contrast to the creamy pasta and dressing. Penne Pasta – We chose penne for its shape that holds the dressing well. Substitutions and variations Here are a few of our favorite variations and substitutions to make it your own: Vary the Greens: While we love the crunch of romaine lettuce, feel free to substitute it with kale, spinach, or even arugula for a peppery bite. Add Protein: Grilled chicken, shredded rotisserie chicken, or even cooked 10-Minute Garlic Shrimp can be added to this pasta salad to make it a complete meal on its own. Vary the Cheese: If you’re not a fan of parmesan, you can substitute it with Asiago or Pecorino Romano. The latter works beautifully in our White Cheddar Mac and Cheese. Add Texture with Veggies: Get creative with the veggies. You can add in some chopped cucumber, bell peppers, or even some marinated artichoke hearts. Leftover Dressing: Save leftover dressing for our Best Creamy Caesar Salad Recipe. Step-by-Step Recipe Instructions Combine dressing ingredients in a bowl and whisk well. Season to your liking and chill until ready to use. Cook the pasta until al dente, then rinse and toss with Caesar dressing. In a serving bowl, combine lettuce, tomatoes, corn, olives, and Parmesan. Drizzle desired amount of dressing and toss gently. Add the dressed pasta and toss again. Top with croutons and green onions. For full list of ingredients and instructions, see recipe card below. How To Prep Ahead Take a look at our favorite prep-ahead tips for this recipe: Make the Dressing: The Caesar dressing for this salad can be made in advance. Combine all the dressing ingredients, whisk well, and store it in the fridge until you’re ready to use it. It will last for several days, so feel free to make it ahead of time. Prep the Ingredients: You can also chop and prepare all the salad ingredients in advance. Wash and tear the romaine lettuce, slice the grape tomatoes, drain the corn and olives, and grate the parmesan. Store these ingredients in separate airtight containers in the fridge. This can be done up to a day in advance. Assemble the Salad: Another option is to fully assemble the salad ahead of time. Once you’ve tossed the lettuce, tomatoes, corn, olives, and parmesan with the dressing, you can cover and chill the salad. When you’re ready to serve, just toss in the cooked pasta and garnish with croutons and green onions. This Caesar Pasta Salad is super simple, easy, and takes hardly any time at all. What To Serve With CAESAR PASTA SALAD Main Dishes Add some protein to make this pasta salad heartier. Grilled Chicken Breast, Grilled Shrimp Kabobs, or even some crispy bacon can be added to the salad to make it a complete meal. It pairs well with a variety of proteins. Try it with BBQ Ribs or even a delicious Grilled Steak. Side Dishes If you’re serving this Caesar pasta salad as a side dish, it goes well with just about anything. It’s great for potlucks or barbecues! We love serving it with a classic Smoked Brisket or even some Grilled Pork Chops. You can also serve it with some fresh bread on the side. A French bread or some garlic bread is always a good choice. Commonly Asked Questions What type of pasta is best for this Caesar pasta salad? We recommend using penne pasta for this Caesar pasta salad. Its shape and texture allow the dressing to cling to it, and it’s easy to eat with the other salad ingredients. Can I make the dressing in advance? Yes, you can make the dressing in advance. In fact, we recommend it. The flavors have time to meld and develop when the dressing is allowed to chill in the refrigerator. Simply cover it and store it in the fridge until you’re ready to use it. How long does Caesar pasta salad keep? Caesar pasta salad can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. If you’ve already added the dressing, it’s best to consume it within a day to maintain the freshness of the lettuce. Whisk to combine well. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover and chill until ready to use. In a large heavy pot, cook pasta in well salted water just to al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water. Drain well and toss with 1/4 cup of the caesar dressing. In a serving bowl, combine lettuce, tomatoes, corn, olives, and parmesan. Drizzle desired amount of dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat. Add the pasta and gently toss again. Sprinkle croutons and green onions on top. Video Notes Always cook your pasta in well-salted water to give it flavor. This is your opportunity to season the pasta itself, so don’t skimp on the salt. When making the dressing, don’t be afraid to adjust the seasonings to your liking. Some people prefer a stronger anchovy or lemon flavor, so feel free to tweak the ingredients. Rinsing your pasta after cooking is important to stop the cooking process and remove excess starch. This will help your pasta salad maintain the right texture and prevent it from becoming too sticky. You can prepare the dressing in advance and chill it until you’re ready to use it. This can save you time when you’re putting the salad together. If you’re serving the salad later, keep the dressing separate until you’re ready to eat. This will prevent the lettuce from wilting and the croutons from getting soggy.
