Violent crime is going down in Venezuela just as the United States has been hit with a rash of high-profile violent crimes by illegal immigrants.  It’s not hard to figure out why. The killing of Laken Riley‚ a 22-year-old nursing student in Athens‚ Georgia‚ has become the latest and most prominent case of an American being killed as a consequence of President Joe Biden’s open-border policies. The man being held in connection with the killing of Riley is Jose Antonio Ibarra‚ a Venezuelan illegal immigrant who reportedly entered the United States in 2022. Since his arrival in the U.S.‚ he appears to have spent his time breaking various other laws and behaving like a general menace to society. He has been arrested for various serious crimes and repeatedly released. Now‚ a young American woman is dead. Here’s how Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas—who has been impeached by the House—described the responsibility for the killing. “As a prosecutor‚ having prosecuted violent crime and other crimes for 12 years‚ one individual is responsible for the murder‚ and that is the murderer‚” he said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday. That’s not at all how the Left typically talks about crime—as an account on X‚ formerly Twitter‚ pointed out. Mayorkas on the illegal that k*lled Laken Riley:“One individual is responsible for the m*rder. Tommy Tuberville‚ R-Ala.‚ didn’t mince words about the cause of this evil: “Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas have blood on their hands for every single American murdered by an illegal alien. They need to do their jobs and secure our border before more innocent Americans are killed.” Riley’s death is certainly not the only case of a serious crime being connected to the unrestrained immigration and border issue. Fox News reporter Bill Melugin lamented on X that it’s getting hard to keep up with all the stories about illegal immigrants committing violent crimes. Can't keep up w/ these stories at this point. Now media in Louisiana are reporting an illegal alien from Honduras has been arrested for the rape of a 14-year-old girl at knifepoint‚ and stabbing another man repeatedly during a robbery. ICE detainer lodged.https://t.co/WF4HQKVSLy— Bill Melugin (@BillMelugin_) February 28‚ 2024 While left-wing media twist and turn to hide the source of illegal immigrant crimes and portray “asylum-seekers” as just innocent refugees‚ the reality seems to be that a potentially large number of dangerous criminals have been allowed to enter and remain in the United States. A news report from December is a pretty good indicator of what’s driving this uptick in criminality. “Venezuela’s rate of violent deaths dropped to its lowest level in more than two decades following years of massive migration‚ as both criminals and victims fled the nation’s economic crisis‚” Bloomberg reported in late December. According to Bloomberg‚ Venezuela “registered 26.8 violent deaths per 100‚000 inhabitants” in 2023‚ down from 35.3 for every 100‚000 the year before. Last year’s figure is “one-third of what it was in 2016.” Good for Venezuela‚ I guess. But the socialist country didn’t come up with new crime-fighting tricks or round up all the gangs like El Salvador did. No‚ what’s happened is‚ Venezuelan criminals have simply pulled up stakes and left the failing nation for greener pastures. Remember how Vice President Kamala Harris‚ the “border czar‚” spoke about how fixing the border issue was about fixing the problems in Central and South America? Apparently‚ what she meant by that is that we’d just bring all of their crime issues here. Problem solved! It’s a bit reminiscent of how Fidel Castro’s regime in Havana sent thousands of convicts to the United States from Cuba in 1980‚ the final year of the Carter administration. Is Venezuela intentionally sending criminals over to the U. S.? So far‚ there’s no direct evidence of that‚ but the Caracas regime of strongman Nicolas Maduro is preventing Venezuelan illegal immigrants from being sent back. “Venezuela has followed through on a threat to stop accepting flights of migrants deported from the U.S. and Mexico‚” the Wall Street Journal reported in February. The Journal reported that “President Nicolas Maduro’s authoritarian regime introduced the measure after Washington reimposed some of the economic sanctions it had previously lifted on Venezuela.” An estimated more than half a million Venezuelans have illegally crossed the southern border in the past two years. How many of those people are dangerous‚ violent criminals? Will the Biden administration and blue‚ Democrat-run cities even do anything about the ones who have proved to be a danger? According to the latest estimates‚ at least 7.2 million people have come into the country during the Biden presidency. And because this migration is on such a mass scale and all but unregulated‚ it’s impossible to weed out all the violent criminals. If the Biden administration had focused on actually securing the border and ensuring that people couldn’t come into the country illegally to begin with‚ this wouldn’t be a problem. But now it is‚ and given the scope of the border crisis‚ this is now a much more widespread issue than what Miami faced in the 1980s. This is all the result of the self-inflicted‚ ideologically motivated destruction that’s become a hallmark of the Biden presidency. But that's not the case. Actually‚ Colorado is interesting in that almost all of their primary voting is by mail-in ballot: While in-person voting is still available‚ most votes come by mail-in ballot. That further complicates the issue because those ballots would have gone out to voters weeks ago! It's a very good question about what happens next. But I have the answer for you and it's good news! CBS News reports that the ballots have always contained President Trump's name and pending the decision of the Courts they simply would / would not be counted based on that outcome: The appeal of the landmark Colorado Supreme Court decision regarding Donald Trump and eligibility for the state's ballot is a success‚ but because of the timing of the high court ruling people may be wondering if votes for the former president in the 2024 Colorado presidential primary will still count. The U.S. Supreme Court didn't issue their ruling stating that Trump is allowed on the ballot until Monday -- the day before the state's primary -- and many Republican voters have already cast their votes (because Colorado is a mail-ballot election state). Trump's name was among the candidates on the ballot despite the uncertainty in the courts. Had the appeal been unsuccessful‚ votes for Trump would not have counted. But now they will. What the Supreme Court ruled on the Colorado Trump ballot case The justices of the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Trump v. Anderson that Donald Trump is eligible to be on the Colorado ballot. The case focused on Trump's conduct during the Jan. 6 insurrection related to the 14th Amendment. It holds a clause -- Section 3 -- which bars those who have sworn to uphold the U.S. Constitution from serving in government if they took part in insurrection. The nation's high court found that states lack the power to apply Section 3 to presidential candidates. I'm actually fairly shocked‚ I expected the Far-Left loonies on Colorado may have used this as an excuse to still keep Trump off the ballot due to timing and logistical concerns‚ but it looks like the right thing was done here. President Trump is ON the ballot‚ both in terms of counting (thanks SCOTUS!) and in terms of actual printing of the mail-in ballots. He's on it and another big win is imminent tomorrow.

I love having Bo Polny on my show‚ it’s always such a blast to get to chat with him. And I especially love getting to ask him questions live on the spot and get his answer. But it’s also fun to watch him on other shows because I always learn something new. I don’t get a chance to watch too many‚ but I have always thought Greg Hunter was one of the best guys in the business so I love listening to him interview Bo Polny and I happened to catch their latest interview which I thought was so good I had to share it with you. They discuss a lot of the same things that Bo has told me on my show‚ but there’s also some new stuff in here that I caught while listening with new ears. Here’s a short summary from USA Watchdog: Biblical cycle timing expert‚ geopolitical and financial analyst Bo Polny predicted last year to “expect the US dollar to go lower and gold‚ silver and Bitcoin to trend higher‚ much higher in 2024.” What have we seen so far? Bitcoin and Gold are‚ once again‚ flirting with all-time highs‚ and silver is starting to turn up‚ too. What about the dollar? So far‚ it is holding steady‚ but Polny contends the BRICS (Brazil‚ Russia‚ India‚ China and South Africa) are about to put a hurting on the buck. Polny explains‚ “The game changer is . . . the BRICS are about to attack the US dollar. I don’t care what anybody says‚ this is going to happen. The dollar will be dethroned as the world reserve currency. When it is dethroned as the world reserve currency‚ the bond market will collapse‚ interest rates will spike and the real estate market will collapse. It will be absolutely devastating to the US economy. This will fulfill the prophecy of Kim Clement. He said the brothers of Goliath‚ those are the BRICS nations‚ ‘we will stand in glee‚ we will cripple you.’ What does that mean‚ ‘we will stand in glee’? Didn’t we just see Putin slapping high fives in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and with everybody over there? . . . We could see a high probability of a war beginning this March. Why? If you attack the supremacy of the US dollar‚ it’s an act of war. . . . The dollar will be dethroned as the world reserve currency. It will lose roughly 30% of it’s value‚ and that will take the USD index down to around the 70’s. Here’s the problem. This is not on millions of dollars of debt like the 1970’s. We now have leverage‚ upon leverage‚ upon leverage with derivative contracts. So‚ a 30% haircut on derivative contracts (in the quadrillions of dollars) is devastating‚ devastating to the economy. I have said this before‚ and I am going to say it again‚ when the US dollar is dethroned as the world reserve currency‚ you are going to see Bitcoin blow vertical. This is why even at $60‚000 (per unit)‚ it is still a deal. Bitcoin is going six digits. I write this in my newsletter. We have a $100‚000 price coming on Bitcoin‚ and that is just a warmup. Polny goes on to say‚ “When the US dollar is dethroned as the world reserve currency‚ there are three things you want to hold. It’s everything opposite the US dollar. The first thing is God’s money. Number one would be silver‚ number two would be gold. The third thing is not God’s money‚ it is Bitcoin. It is going to go absolutely crazy because other countries will not accept the dollar as payment. . . . People are going to want to be paid in something that is real like gold‚ silver and crypto currencies.” How high will gold and silver go? Polny says‚ “Right now‚ an ounce of gold should equal a Bitcoin. We could see gold and silver blow vertical soon. Gold is not allowed to go above $2‚100 per ounce‚ and silver is not allowed to go above $26. . . . As long as the dollar is the world reserve currency . . . the control mechanism stands. When the dollar loses its world reserve currency status‚ gold and silver are going to blow vertical. Silver could go up three-fold in a single day‚ and that only starts the biggest bull market with gold and silver in history.” In closing‚ Polny predicts‚ “You cannot stop what is coming. This week’s giant rally has coincided with huge inflows into U.S.-traded spot ETFs‚ with the new funds adding more than another 12‚000 bitcoin on Tuesday after adding about 10‚000 on Monday. And it comes ahead of the so-called bitcoin halving in April‚ an event that takes place every four years and usually accompanies strong gains as the issuance of new bitcoin slows.
