Cat Spent a Whole Year at Adoption Center Dreaming of Her Own Abode and Finally Had Her Fairy Tale Ending

After caring for her kittens, a shelter cat spent a whole year dreaming of the day she would have her fairy tale ending. KekoExploitsValleySPCAKeko, a stunning calico cat, arrived at the Exploits Valley SPCA as a nursing mother, tenderly caring for her kittens. Shelter staff set them up in a comfortable nursery, hoping that once the kittens were old enough, they would all swiftly find their loving homes. For the next eight weeks, Keko showered her little ones with unconditional love, teaching them the ways of the feline world and raising them into joyful, playful young cats. "She is one of the friendliest cats around. She loves people and can't get enough attention," the SPCA shared. As each kitten reached the age for adoption and went off to new homes, Keko remained behind, the last one waiting for her happily ever after. ExploitsValleySPCA"The mother cats have to wait for weeks as they tend to their kittens, caring for them, teaching them. They wait as, one by one, each squirmy bundle of cuteness is adopted."Keko then joined the other shelter cats in a large room, settling into her small condo. As days turned into weeks, she was moved to a different room, where she shared the floor with other feline residents, patiently awaiting her chance for a dream home. ExploitsValleySPCAAt one point, Keko held the record for the longest wait at the shelter, and the staff were baffled as to why such a charming cat had been overlooked for so long."She is adorable, petite in stature, meek, and has a mild personality. She gets along with almost anyone. Keko is a wallflower who could be overlooked if she's sleeping in a cubby hole during visiting hours." ExploitsValleySPCAAfter spending a year at the adoption center, Keko was adopted by a family, only for their resident cat to reject her. "Keko thought she had found her forever home. Unfortunately, she was returned due to the other cat in the house picking on her."During her brief stay with the family, the staff were surprised to discover her deep affection for the little humans in the household. ExploitsValleySPCAKeko returned to her little cubby hole, holding onto the hope that the perfect family would find her soon.A few weeks later, another family, who had previously adopted from the SPCA, noticed Keko and instantly fell in love with her gentle nature. Seeing how long she'd been waiting, they decided to open their hearts and home to welcome her in. Keko, now Ruby, found her feline entertainment system at her forever homeExploitsValleySPCAAfter just a week, it was clear that Keko was exactly where she belonged. From the moment she stepped into her new home, she gravitated toward the family's young son and made it her mission to guard and protect him every night. Ruby and her favorite person in the worldExploitsValleySPCA"Keko, now Ruby, has been sleeping with my son every night since she's been with us. She walked in as if she had been there forever. She's winning over everyone's heart," the forever family shared.Ruby makes sure her little human is never alone and is always by his side, ready to be his steadfast companion whenever he needs a friend. She guards her little human every nightExploitsValleySPCAShe is over the moon to have found her own place with loving people and a new feline brother, Milo, who adores her. They spend their days watching little critters out the window and cherishing each other's company. Ruby and her new feline brother MiloExploitsValleySPCA"We are so blessed to have the opportunity to give these beautiful cats the life they deserve."After nearly 15 months at the shelter, Ruby finally had her fairy tale ending and is now living the best life. Missing British columnist and doctor's body found on Greek island: Report

The Greek authorities confirmed that they found Dr. Michael Mosley's body after a five-day search on the Greek holiday island of Symi, according to the Daily Mail. Mosley's body was reportedly discovered in a rocky region alongside the Agia Marina after an extensive search led by emergency workers. The 67-year-old Daily Mail columnist was last seen in the village of Pedi before he was discovered.'It's devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband. We had an incredibly lucky life together.'Mosley was a well-known British physician and made regular television appearances. He was visiting Greece with friends at Agios Nikolaos beach on Wednesday before choosing to go alone for a walk to the middle of the island, according to the report."Michael was an adventurous man, it's part of what made him so special," Dr. Clare Bailey Mosley, his wife, said. "It's devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband. We had an incredibly lucky life together. We loved each other very much and were so happy together."Clare said her husband took the wrong route while on a hike and collapsed into a place where he could not easily be seen, according to CBS News.Symi's mayor Eleftherios Papakalodouka said the body was discovered while teams were scanning the area with cameras. One police source said that the deceased body had been dead "for a number of days," according to the BBC. Mosley was finally found near a fence, with an umbrella nearby. A bar manager who was with journalists discovered the body, according to another report, after the island's mayor "saw something" near the fence of the bar.Agia Marina bar manager Ilias Tsavaris said: "They called me, they said 'You know what, we saw something from far away, can you go and check.'""So when I walked up I saw something like a body."One police officer, who was part of the team trying to find Mosley's body, reportedly broke his leg during the mission. Following the discovery of Mosley's body, it was sent to a coroner to be examined. The authorities said they needed to rule out any possibility that Mosley died due to a criminal act. The search was completed after five days of searching in extreme heat. The effort included the deployment of dogs, helicopters, firefighters, drones, local civilians, and officers from Symi.Like Blaze News? Atlanta prosecutor jailed for 7 years after stealing $15 million through PPP loans

The Daily Mail reported that the former assistant city attorney of Atlanta, who also had a life advice podcast, has been sentenced to jail for seven years for obtaining approximately $15 million in COVID relief loans.Shelitha Robertson, 62, used the illegally acquired funds to purchase a 10 carat diamond ring, a Rolls Royce, and a motorbike, according to the report. She obtained the immense amount of money through the Paycheck Protection Program, which was a stimulus program set up to help struggling businesses during the pandemic.'I choose integrity and whatever else it brings. I don't choose selling your soul to the devil.'Just weeks before Robertson was jailed, she appeared on her daughter's "Mommy & Me" podcast to talk about how important it is to work hard with "integrity," per the report. However, it does not appear Robertson took her own advice. She made her money through deception, submitting one false loan application after another during the COVID era, claiming she needed funds to support the four businesses she owned.A second report said Robertson even transferred some of the funds to family members and her co-conspirator, Chandra Norton.“Motivated by greed, Robertson deceptively obtained funds that were designated to provide emergency financial relief to struggling small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic,” U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan said. “We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to investigate and prosecute criminals who stole pandemic relief funds.”During an October episode of the podcast, Robertson was asked if she would choose integrity over poverty when she was asked about how she might react if she had an opportunity to make money quickly."I choose integrity and whatever else it brings. I don't choose selling your soul to the devil. Because that would mean I am willing to belittle myself and degrade myself for the love of what? Of a dollar," Robertson said, even though she knew the Department of Justice was already investigating her."How my kids view me and respect me, means more to me than earning a quick dollar for me to be something that I'm not," Robertson added. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia reported that Special Agent in Charge Mark H. Morini, Jr. said: “The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration will aggressively pursue individuals who commit fraud against the American taxpayer by making false claims to obtain Paycheck Protection Program loans intended for legitimate businesses who needed it to survive the pandemic."“We want to express our gratitude to our federal partners and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for their assistance in holding these individuals to account.”Like Blaze News?
