  Cradles of civilization are societies where humans developed complex social systems independently. Of the six‚ Egypt‚ India‚ Mesopotamia‚ China‚ and the Olmec civilizations undoubtedly formed thanks to agriculture. Yet Caral-Supe‚ on the coast of Peru‚ is neglected in traditional histories and may demonstrate a unique path to advanced development.   One hypothesis among the archaeological and historical community proposes that coastal communities with maritime foundations were the progenitors of this civilization. Caral-Supe was centered upon a sacred capital city originating 5‚000 years ago‚ the oldest urban site in the Americas. Seventeen nearby settlements were part of this civilization‚ which controlled almost 700 square miles. In the past‚ “civilization” was applied to divide societies seen as superior from those considered inferior. Now‚ standards of development are used as a metric. Generally‚ civilizations consist of urban‚ sedentary communities. They produce tools that are utilized to create a surplus of food. This abundance leads to a division of labor‚ which morphs into a hierarchical social and political order.   Large-scale agriculture seems to be the logical catalyst for meeting these metrics. Each cradle of civilization rose near river valleys. Egypt on the Nile River‚ India on the Indus‚ Mesopotamia between the Tigris and Euphrates‚ and China on the Yellow. The other two civilizations began along several small rivers‚ the Olmec near the Gulf of Mexico and Caral by Peru’s Pacific coast. River valleys provided fertile land for crops and plentiful water. Irrigation permitted large-scale farming‚ which led to class systems based on labor and ownership. They began cultivating crops as early as 6000 BCE. Yields were supplemented by hunting and fishing and were sufficient to shift to a sedentary lifestyle. Settlements developed independently across the region‚ but the North-Central portion comprised a nexus of river valleys that facilitated cross-cultural contact. The region is tectonically active‚ with damage from earthquakes and landslides apparent in some surviving structures. Interspersed throughout the arid climate are over fifty intermittent rivers fed seasonally by snow melting in the Andes. These water sources form small pockets of arable land in an otherwise barren region.   Early inhabitants at Aspero‚ a fishing village for the Caral civilization‚ relied on the Supe River for freshwater. Their diet consisted primarily of marine life from the Pacific. At the mouth of rivers such as this‚ communities of fishermen formed the first large organized societies on the continent. The prosperity of fishing villages allowed subsequent inhabitants to move further inland‚ still trading with the seaside towns.   Peruvian seas are among the most abundant sources of fish in the world. Michael Mosely‚ the author of Maritime Foundations of Andean Civilization‚ argued that these rich waters allowed large‚ sedentary populations to develop refined social structures and architectural marvels. The cityscape suggests a static‚ planned‚ and populated urban center only fourteen miles from the coast. All settlements were situated on non-arable ground to preserve the scarce fertile land for farming. Six pyramids and two round sunken courtyards were the primary features‚ laid in a carefully planned style.   Residents lived in adobe and mud homes. These materials were also used extensively to construct monumental spaces such as pyramids and courtyards. The city’s engineering marvels included earthquake-resistant buildings with foundations made of containers of loose stone to minimize shaking and damage. Subsurface ventilation ducts drew in air to maintain fires.   The two recessed circular courtyards were markets that hosted exchanges from a vast territory. Trade networks extended not only between the metropolis and the shore but also as far as Ecuador and the Amazon through overland and riverine routes. Green areas nearby were grounds ripe for hunting deer‚ and fibrous plant materials could be sourced from wetlands. Domestic buildings were also placed onto terraces upon hillsides. The scale of these structures suggests a system of organized labor was present. Workers may have toiled under duress or been compensated with currency‚ potentially dried anchovies.   Astronomy‚ medicine‚ and selective breeding of plants were regularly practiced. Artisans produced jewelry‚ woven garments‚ and baskets‚ while engineers managed water resources and construction. Stone figurines and bone flutes point to a culture that valued artistic expression.   Different settlements exercised relative autonomy and practiced separate religions. They were overseen by leaders of sayas‚ or halves‚ ruling equal portions of the civilization. The Huno was the central state figure who lived in the capital city and governed all of Caral-Supe’s inhabitants. High-ranking individuals and families possessed luxury goods such as symbols made from exotic stone or the remains of rare animals. They never created ceramics and instead used gourds to transport and store liquids.   No form of writing‚ as traditionally known‚ has been uncovered. Instead‚ knotted textile weaves served as a form of record-keeping. Plant fibers were manipulated to make quipu (or khipu)‚ which disseminated information through color‚ cordage‚ and knot locations. The world’s oldest example of quipu was discovered inside a pyramid in Caral. This find may date to 4000 to 4500 BCE‚ solidifying quipu as one of humanity’s earliest systematic methods of recording information.   Caral’s diets were also unusual but were rooted in consistent staples. Unlike their contemporaries‚ Caral’s citizens did not grow grains in abundance. Maize was continually farmed from 6500 BCE but did not become a significant nutrition source until 800 BCE. Instead‚ they roasted beans‚ peppers‚ avocadoes‚ and potatoes. Other cultivated foodstuffs included squash‚ guava‚ and domestic animals such as dogs and guinea pigs.   Inhabitants of coastal villages such as Aspero chiefly consumed shellfish‚ seabirds‚ anchovies‚ and sardines. They frequently traded these products with some exceptions. Seaweed and marine mammals were prevalent near the ocean but not inland. Cotton and bast plans were instrumental in producing fibers for fishing lines‚ twines‚ and nets. Wood from fruit trees and reeds were used to create watercraft. While humans gathered these plants for millennia‚ their cultivation coincides with the formation of organized societies. The intensive agriculture of these crops enabled the large-scale manufacture of fishing equipment‚ which contributed to bountiful food‚ population increase‚ and a large urban community.   Remnants of elevated gravity canals have been radiocarbon dated to at least 3500 BCE when Caral-Supe originated‚ perhaps as early as 4700 BCE. Collective labor was likely used in their construction‚ reinforcing social and occupational stratification. This infrastructure is predated by minor irrigation in domestic garden plots‚ showcasing the prevalence of subsistence farming in early Andean societies.   Aspero continued to serve as a fishing village within the Caral civilization and was the only significant populated area on the coast. Migrations inland took advantage of fertile soil to grow crops necessary for fishing. These societies were smaller and less complex‚ evidenced by their relative absence in the archaeological record. Trade networks along the region‚ which bred economic and social hierarchies‚ also aided the transition to civilization in the north.   Facing this evidence‚ one can safely conclude that intensive agriculture catalyzed the formation of Andean civilization. Locales with more arable land developed irrigation‚ leading to societal stratification‚ and trade with coastal regions facilitated an economy. The cultivation of plants enabled higher food yields‚ providing the impetus for large metropolitan areas to develop.   The assertion that the earliest settlers derived most of their sustenance from the ocean is more challenging to ignore. Even after the official establishment of civilization‚ much of their diet was marine-based. These neighboring societies surmounted Caral‚ and its residents fled the region. Caral’s capital was only occupied twice since‚ in 1000 BCE and between 900 and 1440 CE. In both instances‚ settlers only lived in its outer edges. Caral was the first Andean civilization‚ followed by distinct cultures such as the Nazca and Inca. This document highlighted the settlement’s unity with nature as an exemplar of sustainable development. Central planning and seismic-resistant structures were the principal points of interest. The architects emphasized its construction with hand tools to illustrate that incredible goals were achievable.

RASCOE: So can you give us a better sense of what solar geoengineering is? IRVINE: Solar geoengineering‚ yeah‚ as you said‚ describes a set of ideas to increase the amount of light that the Earth reflects back to space. And that could counter the warming effect of the greenhouse gases we've been adding ourselves. There's a couple of different ideas. The most promising one would aim to mimic the effect of volcanic eruptions. So some of the biggest eruptions in history‚ like Tambora in 1815‚ Pinatubo in 1991 - the big eruption goes off‚ and the very powerful ones penetrate up into the stratosphere‚ which is a high layer in the atmosphere. And there the particles that they release scatter around the entire planet and then reflect light away for a couple of years. And in the years after these big eruptions‚ we see temperatures dip and then slowly recover. And the idea is that we could create that effect‚ but persistently‚ to help offset future global warming. RASCOE: So how would this work? IRVINE: Yeah. So volcanoes put up a few million tons - the big ones that have this cooling effect put up a few million tons of this gas‚ sulfur dioxide‚ into the stratosphere. You could get an aircraft to fly that high‚ dump this gas and come back down. And with enough of them‚ you could get millions of tons up. We're talking tens to hundreds of aircraft‚ so it's not a huge amount. And every engineering assessment today comes to the same conclusion. This is feasible and relatively cheap. We could offset basically the difference between where we're headed‚ which seems to be something like 2 1/2 Celsius of global warming‚ to where we want to be‚ which is 1 1/2‚ or to limit it to that much‚ at about $20 billion per year‚ which is a lot of money‚ but not a lot of money compared to the costs of climate change and the costs of dealing with it. RASCOE: How would sulfur dioxide cool the planet? Like‚ how does that work? IRVINE: Just like the volcanic eruption‚ we would be adding this sulfur dioxide gas‚ which goes on to react in the atmosphere to form these really tiny droplets. And they're so tiny that they effectively stay suspended in the air. And now‚ this happens in the lower atmosphere. These little particles are responsible for the haze you see on many days. And they stay suspended until they get caught up in rain clouds and rained out. But up in the upper atmosphere‚ it's very dry. There's no clouds. And so these particles persist for several years until they gradually‚ slowly fall down. And so yeah‚ this relatively small amount of material that we could put into the upper atmosphere would have this disproportionately large cooling effect. RASCOE: What is the risk from‚ you know‚ releasing the sulfur dioxide? IRVINE: Well‚ I think the first thing to note is this is not an alternative to cutting greenhouse gas emissions. The CO2 would still be there. It'd still be having this warming effect on the planet. And this would only be a temporary cooling effect to sort of offset some of the consequences. It would also have some side effects similar - well‚ the same side effects that volcanoes do. The sulfur dioxide adds to acid rain a little. It would delay the recovery of the ozone hole by some time‚ and it would make the sky a little hazier. But yeah‚ it would have these side effects‚ and they're not good. But the question is‚ it seems that they're a lot less bad than climate change would be. I've been covering chemtrails for a long time on this channel. Many‚ many people have woken up as a direct result of our coverage. More on that below. Friends‚ these are NOT clouds. Massive lines that stretch for edge to edge in the sky? That's not a cloud. And here are THREE of them lined up in a perfect line. We don't know what happened next‚ but based on my experience‚ after they lined up these three parallel chemtrail lines‚ the planes then flew back in a cross-hatch pattern to get maximum distribution. Response #1 - people who see the chemtrails with their own eyes just like I do and know this is NOT natural and something is very wrong here.  Very bad idea to be doing this. This group is growing and I would say is now well over 50%. The next responses are the people suffering from cognitive dissonance. I get it. It's a very hard red pill to swallow to think your government is spraying heavy metals into the air (that then fall down and we breath them in). A likely contributor to all the sickness and disease and dis-ease we all feel? Very likely. So Response #2 goes like this - these are nothing more that contrails from airplanes.  Just a jet stream. The only problem with this is two-fold: One‚ contrails do exist‚ but they evaporate very quickly and don't stay in the air. See the big picture at the top of this article? Those are crossing chemtrail lines (they love to spray them in X or crosshatch patterns) and those have been in the sky often for over and hour long.  Not contrails.  Not dissipating. The other big problem with Response #2? CNBC just told you that chemtrails are real‚ and I'll cover that in just a moment. Response #3 - they can't be chemtrails because every pilot and airport in the world would have to be "in on it" and that's just not possible.  Plus no one could be that evil.  I just don't want to believe it so I refuse to even consider it. Now let's go to CNBC and the White House‚ who both now fully admit this is happening. They call them "stratospheric aerosol injections". The research plan will assess climate interventions‚ including spraying aerosols into the stratosphere to reflect sunlight back into space‚ and should include goals for research‚ what’s necessary to analyze the atmosphere‚ and what impact these kinds of climate interventions may have on Earth‚ according to the White House’s Office of Science and Technology Policy. Congress directed the research plan be produced in its spending plan for 2022‚ which President Joe Biden signed in March. Some of the techniques‚ such as spraying sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere‚ are known to have harmful effects on the environment and human health. But scientists and climate leaders who are concerned that humanity will overshoot its emissions targets say research is important to figure out how best to balance these risks against a possibly catastrophic rise in the Earth’s temperature. Getting ready to research a topic is a very preliminary step‚ but it’s notable the White House is formally engaging with what has largely been seen as the stuff of dystopian fantasy. In Kim Stanley Robinson’s science fiction novel‚ “The Ministry for the Future‚” a heat wave in India kills 20 million people and out of desperation‚ India decides to implement its own strategy of limiting the sunlight that gets to Earth. Harvard professor David Keith‚ who first worked on the topic in 1989‚ said it’s being taken much more seriously now. He points to formal statements of support for researching sunlight reflection from the Environmental Defense Fund‚ the Union of Concerned Scientists‚ and the Natural Resources Defense Council‚ and the creation of a new group he advises called the Climate Overshoot Commission‚ an international group of scientists and lawmakers that’s evaluating climate interventions in preparation for a world that warms beyond what the Paris Climate Accord recommended. To be clear‚ nobody is saying sunlight-reflection modification is the solution to climate change. Reducing emissions remains the priority. “You cannot judge what the country does on solar-radiation modification without looking at what it is doing in emission reductions‚ because the priority is emission reductions‚” said Janos Pasztor‚ executive director of the Carnegie Climate Governance Initiative. “Solar-radiation modification will never be a solution to the climate crisis.” Three ways to reduce sunlight The idea of sunlight reflection first appeared prominently in a 1965 report to President Lyndon B. Johnson‚ entitled “Restoring the Quality of Our Environment‚” Keith told CNBC. The report floated the idea of spreading particles over the ocean at a cost of $100 per square mile. A one percent change in the reflectivity of the Earth would cost $500 million per year‚ which does “not seem excessive‚” the report said‚ “considering the extraordinary economic and human importance of climate.” The estimated price tag has gone up since then. The current estimate is that it would cost $10 billion per year to run a program that cools the Earth by 1 degree Celsius‚ said Edward A. Parson‚ a professor of environmental law at UCLA’s law school. But that figure is seen to be remarkably cheap compared to other climate change mitigation initiatives. A landmark report released in March 2021 from the National Academies of Sciences‚ Engineering‚ and Medicine addressed three kinds of solar geoengineering: stratospheric aerosol injection‚ marine cloud brightening‚ and cirrus cloud thinning. Stratospheric aerosol injection would involve flying aircraft into the stratosphere‚ or between 10 miles and 30 miles skyward‚ and spraying a fine mist that would hang in the air‚ reflecting some of the sun’s radiation back into space. “The stratosphere is calm‚ and things stay up there for a long time‚” Parson told CNBC. “The atmospheric life of stuff that’s injected in the stratosphere is between six months and two years.” Stratospheric aerosol injection “would immediately take the high end off hot extremes‚” Parson said. And also it would “pretty much immediately” slow extreme precipitation events‚ he said. “The top-line slogan about stratospheric aerosol injection‚ which I wrote in a paper more than 10 years ago — but it’s still apt — is fast‚ cheap and imperfect. Fast is crucial. Nothing else that we do for climate change is fast. Cheap‚ it’s so cheap‚” Parson told CNBC. “And it’s not imperfect because we haven’t got it right yet. It’s imperfect because the imperfection is embedded in the way it works. The same reason it’s fast is the reason that it’s imperfect‚ and there’s no way to get around that.” One option for an aerosol is sulfur dioxide‚ the cooling effects of which are well known from volcanic eruptions. The 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo‚ for instance‚ spewed thousands of tons of sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere‚ causing global temperatures to drop temporarily by about 1 degree Fahrenheit‚ according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Here are a few more photos I took from a couple weeks ago while I was enjoying a nice afternoon at the park with my kids. The day started off with big‚ beautiful blue skies...not a cloud in the sky. And then‚ this started happening: There still wasn't a cloud in the sky‚ but there these things! Chemtrails. I just have to wonder what most people think when they look up and see this... Serious question. Here are the options I've come up with so far: Option 1- they don't even think about it.  Never even occurs to them. Option 2- they think they are normal condensation trails ("contrails") caused by planes. Option 3- they know something is wrong but don't know what or what they can do about it. My hunch is over half the population falls into Option 1. They are literally spraying heavy chemicals into the skies above us -- into the air we breathe -- and I have to believe if the majority of the people understood that and thought about it‚ there would be hell to pay. But as it stands‚ I almost never hear anyone even question it. Then I think there is a group of people like this Harvard Professor below‚ who I think fall into Option 2. It can't possibly be a "conspiracy" (even though all the other conspiracies seem to be coming true before our eyes). No‚ they say -- all explainable by science! Besides‚ they say‚ the government couldn't possibly keep something like that a secret! And all the commercial airline pilots and crew couldn't keep it a secret either‚ they say! There are very‚ very few people who know the "whole picture" and the whole plan of any operation. Everyone else just works on their small part and never has any idea or reason to question how it all fits together. No‚ the people who believe these are chemical trails believe these are government planes or private planes or both. Again‚ compartmentalized by a very small subset of people and probably people who get very specific and limited orders and are not told anything further. And they're not just "condensation trails" either. Let's take a moment to address that. Condensation trails DO exist and are normal. In fact‚ back in the 1980s I remember seeing a lot of them. I even remember as a kid watching them go across the sky and how quickly they disappeared. Read that last part again: they ALWAYS quickly dissipated! I even remember holding my finger up in the sky to track how quickly they would dissipate and go away completely (hey‚ we didn't have anything else to do‚ there was no internet!). But that's a key point. They NEVER lasted for longer than a very short stretch of the sky and they never spread out over time over the course of a whole afternoon. Contrails exist‚ but they are VERY different from chemtrails. Chemtrails have heavy chemicals designed to stay in the air and spread out. They don't dissipate. They expand. Big difference. Now‚ here's the real kicker... Would you be surprised to know that the Deep State doesn't even try to hide it? They ADMIT it! I find it so hilarious when people who think it's a "conspiracy theory" try to defend them‚ and I want to just ask them....you do know that even the Deep Staters like John Brennan are admitting it? Right? Right.....? The thing is‚ they don't call them "chemtrails". No‚ that would be too obvious. They call them "stratospheric aerosol injections". Which is a super fancy way of saying chemtrails.
