Biden ‘gaslights’ American people; issues executive order that will NOT close the border

Joe Biden has just issued an executive order to “temporarily prevent migrants from seeking asylum at the U.S.-Mexico border.” While most of the media is acting as though Biden is actually closing the border, Sara Gonzales sees right through it. “If you have the ability to close the border then close the freaking border now, we don’t need to wait until we have a seven day average of daily crossings that hits 2,500. We don’t need to wait for that,” Gonzales says. “But Joe Biden says, ‘No, no, no, that’s fine, I will abuse my authority and I will just issue an executive border to only activate closing the border when we hit that 2,500 mark, and then the border would reopen when crossings stay below a daily average of 1,500 for seven consecutive days,’” she adds. “It’s almost as if they don’t actually want a solution at all,” Eric July agrees. “This is why you got this kind of cat and mouse game going on.” Gonzales calls what they’re doing “gaslighting,” before listening to what Biden had to say regarding his executive order. “I’ve come here today to do what the Republicans in Congress refuse to do: take the necessary steps to secure our border. Four months ago, after weeks of intense negotiation between my staff and Democrats and Republicans, we came to a clear, clear bipartisan deal,” Biden said. “It was the strongest border security agreement in decades, but then Republicans in Congress, not all, but walked away from it. Why? Because Donald Trump told them to. He told the Republicans, which has been published widely by many of you, that he didn’t want to fix the issue, he wanted to use it to attack me.” “It was a cynical, an extremely cynical political move and a complete disservice to the American people who are looking for us to not weaponize the border but to fix it,” he concluded. Gonzales can’t believe what she’s hearing. “Joe Biden, the man who has done nothing for nearly four years at the border, and not only done nothing but actually reversed all of the policies that Trump had that were working.” Want more from Sara Gonzales? To enjoy more of Sara's no-holds-barred take to news and culture, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

Sec. Mayorkas struggles to dodge questions over cartels circumventing Biden's executive order

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas refused to explain how Mexican cartels and smuggling operations will not take advantage of the loopholes created with President Joe Biden's new executive order that claims to address the ongoing border crisis.Among the many exemptions, unaccompanied minors who illegally cross the southern border will not be counted for the 2,500 threshold that triggers the shutdown of people trying to seek asylum through a point other than a port of entry. There is a concern that unaccompanied children will continue to be exploited since the U.S. government will take them in, no questions asked.Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto pressed Mayorkas about the loophole, but the Biden appointee had a hard time dodging the question.“So the one thing I didn’t understand, Secretary, there are a number of exemptions for this, including, you know, unaccompanied children. And isn’t that a green light for drug cartels to take advantage of that? And, you know, the whole purpose of this, it sort of blows up in your face," said Cavuto.“Oh, absolutely, absolutely not, Neil," Mayorkas first replied.'Asylum has already been banned for most migrants who cross illegally since the end of Title 42 last year — and that hasn’t stopped them from coming.'"But where — who’s going to watch those unaccompanied children?" Cavuto interjected. "If they are allowed and you don’t ship them back, you don’t do anything like that, so where do they go?”"Neil, we deal with unaccompanied children in a humanitarian way, adhering to our values. We deter irregular migration. ... We’re taking it to the drug cartels with unprecedented strength ..." Mayorkas said repeatedly while refusing to address what Cavuto was asking."The cartels, the smuggling organizations are unscrupulous. They exploit individuals of all different types of vulnerabilities. We are taking it to the cartels. We excepted unaccompanied children from this asylum bar because of the compelling humanitarian picture they present," Mayorkas added. — (@) The unaccompanied minors aspect is only part of the many problems Biden's order has, the primary of which is that it will do little to stem the flow of illegal immigrants. Another loophole is anyone who claims "credible fear" will still be allowed through, and the Biden administration has ordered authorities to make it as easy as possible for anyone they encounter to give them such a chance."Also, asylum has already been banned for most migrants who cross illegally since the end of Title 42 last year — and that hasn’t stopped them from coming. Highest numbers in recorded history end of 2023," Fox News reporter Bill Melugin explained.Like Blaze News? iOS 18 rumor points to major redesign for iPhone’s Control Center

With WWDC 2024 just a few days away, it won't be long until we learn more about the new feature that iOS 18 has to offer. In the meantime, we keep hearing rumors about the upcoming software update. The latest iOS 18 rumor comes from MacRumors. According to the report, Apple has tested a redesigned version of Control Center in iOS 18 that would let users customize the layout. One of the best new features would be a drag-and-drop system that would allow users to rearrange the controls of the Control Center interface. MacRumors notes that this could be an improvement since the smaller controls can only be reorganized through the Settings app right now. Interestingly, this report comes a few days after Bloomberg's Mark Gurman posted on X that the iOS Settings app is getting a new, cleaner UI that should be easier to navigate. He also claimed that updates are coming to the Control Center but didn’t provide any specifics: https://x.com/markgurman/status/1796399911526920509 Rumors of a redesigned Control Center have been spreading for years, but it sounds like Apple might finally implement them later this year. This would mark the most significant upgrade to the Control Center since Apple moved it to a new location with the iPhone X. Another iOS 18 rumor believes Apple will redesign the Home Screen, so it makes sense if this other interface gets a revamp, too. According to a previous report, Apple plans to let users move apps freely through the Home Screen. Currently, users need to take advantage of a few tricks to leave blank spaces on the Home Screen. iPad users can already rearrange widgets anywhere they want, but they cannot freely rearrange apps. Thankfully, WWDC 2024 is just around the corner, and it won't be long before we know everything about iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and visionOS 2.
