Matt accompanied his announcement post with a photo of the MTM co-stars, all of whom are now deceased. Fans soon found the post and offered their tribute in the comment section, which became abundant in nostalgic memories in no time. “Wow. That feels significantly sad. I absolutely loved your Dad BTW. Ted Knight was the first of the MTM castmates to pass away at 62, after battling with complications from surgery to treat his colorectal cancer in 1986. Next came the title actress herself, Mary Tyler Moore, who died in 2017, and then Georgia Engel and Valerie Harper in 2019.
