Former President Donald Trump posted a video to social media Thursday evening following his conviction in the controversial Manhattan District Attorney’s Office criminal case against him over an alleged hush-money payment that he made during the 2016 election. The decision is the culmination of a weeks-long courtroom battle in which Trump said that he was the target of a “political persecution” — a point that was seemingly validated when President Joe Biden sent his campaign to hold a political event outside the courthouse this week as he runs another campaign for a second term in the White House. The former president was found guilty on all 34 charges brought in the hush-money trial. “This is the final battle,” Trump said in black-and-white video posted to Truth Social. “With you at my side, we will demolish the deep state, we will expel the war mongers from our government. We will drive out the globalists, we will cast out the communists, Marxists, and fascists; we will throw off the sick political class that hates our country.
