'Real subtle': season finale of Amazon Prime show features presidential assassination plot scheduled for January 6, debuts ONE WEEK after Trump shooting

“The Boys” – a television series about rogue superheroes – is one of Amazon Prime’s most successful shows to date. However, with each season, the producers have dialed up the wokeness and all but ruined the show. Its popularity rating has dropped in tandem with the increased politicization of the characters and plot. In her last video, Lauren tackled the show’s pro-abortion agenda. In this review, she lambastes the finale, which was destined to be a scandal due to its contents and timing. - YouTube www.youtube.com To backtrack a bit, in this season of “The Boys,” the writers have made it clear from the get-go that the character of Homelander, who is the face of the entire series, is a parody of Donald Trump – the left’s version of Donald Trump, that is. Homelander and his supporters are painted as racist, sexist, fascist, and just plain evil. It could easily be said that his character mirrored the mainstream media’s incessant cries of “Trump is Hilter!” Interestingly enough, the finale of “The Boys” dropped on July 18, not even a week after Trump’s near-assassination. But did that stop the creators from airing the episode, which, believe it or not, centered on the plotted assassination of a president (which was scheduled for January 6) and Homelander’s plan to take over America and imprison those who don’t get on board with his agenda? No, it did not. The finale dropped as scheduled, but the original title of the episode – “Assassination Run” – was changed to just “Season 4 Finale.” The producers also threw in a disclaimer at the beginning of the episode that read: “Viewer discretion advised. This episode contains scenes of fictional political violence. Any similarities to recent events are completely coincidental and unintentional. Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, Sony Pictures Television and producers of The Boys oppose, in strongest terms, real-world violence of any kind.” “You've just spent an entire season absolutely skewering American conservatives, and your season finale is set to air just a few days following the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, and in said finale, you also feature an attempted political assassination, this time at the hands of your Donald Trump parody character,” says Lauren, adding that she “personally would not have wanted to be on the PR team for Amazon.” “Basically the entire message of Season 4 of ‘The Boys’ has been that conservatives are domestic terrorists; they are the real threats; they are the violent ones,” she continues. Further, when it comes to Amazon’s disclaimer, Lauren argues that the entire reason it was necessary is because of the show’s failed attempt at satire. “I think satire is best done when it's frankly more layered and less obvious and more thematic than just simply parodying specific individuals and specific events,” she says. WNBA player sues league, former team for discrimination and retaliation after she told them she was pregnant

Three-time WNBA All-Star, WNBA champion, and Olympic medalist Dearica Hamby has sued the WNBA and her former team, the Las Vegas Aces, alleging she was discriminated against after she revealed she was pregnant.Hamby said in a lawsuit that after she publicly announced that she was pregnant with her second child, she "experienced notable changes in the way she was treated by Las Vegas Aces staff."The lawsuit claimed that when Hamby had re-signed with the Aces, the team agreed to certain stipulations that included covering the private school tuition costs of Hamby's daughter, by way of a "donation" to the child's school. As well, the team allegedly agreed to allow Hamby to use team-provided housing accommodations.'Every potential mother in the league is now on notice that childbirth could change their career prospects overnight.'Hamby's lawsuit alleged that the team, its general manager, and president beat around the bush in terms of the donation and told Hamby they were "working on it."Hamby also alleged that she was told to vacate the team-provided housing without reason. The basketball star also claimed that Las Vegas coach Becky Hammon accused her on a phone call of "not taking proper precautions not to get pregnant."The coach also allegedly questioned the player's "commitment and dedication to the team" and labeled her as a "question mark" on the squad.Other accusations allegedly included that Hamby knew she was pregnant when she signed her new contract and that the staff felt she would get pregnant a third time. The WNBA itself responded to the lawsuit by simply saying, "We are aware of today's legal filing and are reviewing the complaint."WNBA Players Association executive director Terri Carmichael Jackson responded to the lawsuit as well and assured the public that "becoming a parent" does not mean the end of a WNBA player's career."Obviously, these protections did not change the nature of this business. Any team can trade any player for any legitimate reason or no reason at all. But that reason can never be on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, parental status, or pregnancy status." — (@) About six months after her contract extension, Hamby was traded to the Los Angeles Sparks. Coach Hammon said months after the trade that the decision to move Hamby was made to "get three bodies in her one contract, and we wanted to get three more people in.""I think it's very evident [by] who we signed on why we made the move," she added, according to the Associated Press. The comments came as questions arose surrounding the reason Hamby was traded and whether or not it stemmed from her pregnancy. In fact, the WNBA suspended Hammon in May 2023 for two games after Hamby claimed she had been bullied and manipulated due to her pregnancy, the AP also said. The WNBA did not disclose the details about the suspension but said Hammon did violate league and team policies related to "respect in the workplace."Hamby's attorney, however, claimed that the Aces "exiled" Hamby for "becoming pregnant and the WNBA responded with a light tap on the wrist.""Every potential mother in the league is now on notice that childbirth could change their career prospects overnight. That can't be right in one of the most prosperous and dynamic women's professional sports leagues in America," the attorney added.Like Blaze News? FBI engaged in 'major-league cover-up' of Trump assassination attempt: Judicial Watch

FBI engaged in 'major-league cover-up' of Trump assassination attempt: Judicial Watch

The FBI and the Biden-Harris administration are engaged in a “major-league cover-up on the near-assassination of former President Trump,” Judicial Watch Inc. asserted Aug. 12. The accusation came after the FBI denied Judicial Watch's request for records on the July 13 Pennsylvania rally at which Donald J. Trump was shot by Thomas Matthew Crooks. Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the FBI on July 26, seeking documents, emails, presentations, and other data regarding the FBI’s coordination with the U.S. Secret Service in preparation for the July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, at which Trump was shot in the ear. The request covered the time period from June 15 to present. The FBI cited FOIA exemption 7A, which allows withholding of information that “would deprive a person of a right to a fair trial or an impartial adjudication.” It did not elaborate or provide context for use of this exemption. Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, said the records denial and reasoning raise some pointed questions. “Were there others involved in the assassination attempt on Trump? If not, then why would the FBI use the excuse of protecting someone’s right to a fair trial to hide records on the FBI’s and Secret Service’s inexcusable failures to protect Trump from being nearly assassinated?” Fitton said in a statement. “The Biden-Harris administration is running a major-league cover-up on the near-assassination of former President Trump.” In an email to Blaze News, the FBI National Press Office declined to comment. 'It’s curious that the acting director didn’t credit local law enforcement.' It was the second records request denial Judicial Watch has faced related to the rally at the Butler Farm Show fairgrounds that led to the wounding of Trump, the murder of former volunteer fire chief Corey Comperatore, and serious injury to bystanders David Dutch and James Copenhaver. The Secret Service denied three comprehensive Judicial Watch FOIA requests filed on July 16 seeking advance security plans, videos, emails, and documents related to the attempted assassination. In its denial, the Secret Service cited an exemption because “disclosure could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings.” Fitton said Judicial Watch is preparing lawsuits against the FBI and Secret Service to compel release of the materials. He said Judicial Watch has more than 25 open-records requests pending on the July 13 assassination attempt with the federal government, local and state officials, and agencies in Pennsylvania. The fight over assassination-related records is just the latest attempt to force more transparency in the numerous investigations launched since July 13. Former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle was excoriated by U.S. House members of both major parties for her performance at a July 22 hearing before the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. Photo by Jabin Botsford/The Washington Post via Getty Images In hours of testimony, Cheatle ducked and deflected many questions, from how many shots Crooks fired into the crowd to why he was not considered a threat based on his suspicious behavior. She also disclosed that she had not visited the shooting site. As calls for her ouster reached a crescendo in Congress after the hearing, Cheatle resigned on July 23 and was replaced by an acting director, Ronald Rowe Jr. Appearing before a joint U.S. Senate hearing on July 30, Rowe appeared to shift the blame for the deadly shooting to local police. He was also criticized for not having basic facts on the shooting available and rebuked for saying the Secret Service didn’t know about Crooks being armed until seconds before he opened fire. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), ranking member of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, said the FBI and Secret Service are not being forthcoming. “The federal [law enforcement] just clammed up. They’re not giving us much information,” Johnson said Aug. 11 on WABC Radio in New York. “We were briefed by local law enforcement that talked about that one of their officers took a shot at Crooks,” Johnson said. “That’s not being widely reported. We’ve asked to speak to that officer to get the details. “It’s curious that the acting director didn’t credit [that] local law enforcement had taken shots that might have deterred or ended this shooting,” Johnson said. Deadly police shoot-out involving illegal alien prompts Rep. Roy to demand shelter crime stats

United States Representative Chip Roy (R-Texas) sent a letter on Monday to the San Antonio Police Department’s chief of police demanding crime statistics for shelters housing illegal aliens. The letter, obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, asked the SAPD to turn over data detailing the number of calls for service to the San Antonio Migrant Resource Center, which opened in July 2022, and the surrounding area. Roy requested information regarding the reasons for the calls, how many resulted in arrests, and a list of the charges. Additionally, the letter demanded reporting on whether the calls required the presence of a Spanish-speaking officer or interpreter.A Venezuelan national allegedly shot and killed a 19-year-old residing at the shelter following an altercation.Roy also requested reporting on how many human smuggling or human trafficking cases the department’s Human Exploitation Unit has been involved in since January 2021. The congressman’s request for additional information was prompted by a recent deadly shoot-out involving SAPD officers and a 25-year-old illegal alien. In late July, three officers responded to a domestic violence call allegedly involving a female who suffered injuries inflicted by her boyfriend. When police arrived at the residence, the suspect, Jorge Jose Chacon-Gutierrez, reportedly picked up a rifle and opened fire. The officers returned fire, killing the suspect. One of the officers was struck multiple times but did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Chacon-Gutierrez illegally entered the country in November 2023 in Eagle Pass, Texas. Border officials subsequently released him with an April 2026 court date.Roy asked the SAPD whether it had previously encountered Chacon-Gutierrez and whether he had ever resided at the shelter.Roy’s letter noted that another shooting occurred in May near the San Antonio MRC. A Venezuelan national allegedly shot and killed a 19-year-old residing at the shelter following an altercation. “Since January 2021, at least 626,232 illegal aliens have arrived in San Antonio, most of whom have originated from Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba, Honduras, and Haiti. From July 7, 2022, when the MRC first opened, to the present, it has provided shelter to at least 345,907 foreign nationals,” Roy wrote to the chief of police. The congressman noted that his constituents are “rightly concerned about the massive influx of illegal aliens” and “deserve answers on the increased illegal alien population’s impact on public safety.”Roy requested the department’s responses by August 26.The SAPD did not respond to a request for comment from the DCNF.Like Blaze News? Gemini Live: Google AI gets voice chat like GPT-4o, plus 8 more new features

Google unveiled four Pixel 9 phones on Tuesday, including three Pro models, of which one is foldable. This is the boldest line of Pixel devices Google has ever released and it's no coincidence it's happening as generative AI booms. The Pixel 9 phones don't just prove that Google can make phones that are at least as compelling as the latest iPhones. The Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and 9 Pro Fold are all vessels that will carry Google's vision of AI. Google's Gemini models power this vision, from the smaller Gemini Nano, which runs on-device artificial intelligence features, to Gemini Advanced, which powers sophisticated features. To mark the occasion, Google announced various new Gemini AI features for the Pixel phones on Tuesday, including Gemini Live. This is the multimodal, sophisticated voice mode chatbot Google demoed at I/O in May. It's similar to ChatGPT's Voice Mode, which actually stole Google's thunder by launching a day before the I/O keynote. Continue reading...
