How to make Polymer in Palworld

Polymer is a complex material in Palworld that you’ll have to make yourself from numerous other resources. You’ll need it as your approach the mid-game‚ and you’ll need a load as you go into the end-game. Making Polymer in Palworld Polymer is needed to craft and repair higher quality weapons in Palworld‚ as well as a few structures. Considering how much you’ll need‚ the fact that it only requires one resource is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing as it only requires one resource for you to obtain‚ and a curse as that resource is two High Quality Pal Oils. Screenshot: PC Invasion High Quality Pal Oil is not something that can be farmed through the Ranch. It is strictly a Pal drop‚ meaning you’ll need to do a hefty amount of fighting or capturing to grab the masses you’ll need. Also‚ you’ll need the Production Assembly Line to actually craft it. At level 33‚ you’ll be able to unlock Polymer for 2 Technology Points‚ ma...

Dungeons stop the censoring from butchering Pals in Palworld

In Palworld‚ you have the freedom to treat your Pals as you wish. For the most part‚ players love to spoil their captured buddies and wouldn’t dream of hurting them. Sometimes‚ however‚ butchering a Pal is needed. Thankfully‚ the game censors that action. Right? Dungeons leave butchering on full display in Palworld Kazziel69 pointed out on the Subreddit that the censoring for the butchering action doesn’t work when in a dungeon. Someone forgot to censor me byu/Kazziel69 inPalworld This left many players gobsmacked‚ me included‚ to see the Pal get so ruthlessly struck by the cleaver. I know the game allows you to carpet bomb herds of innocent Pals with bazookas and lets you get away with work conditions that no union would approve of‚ but the censoring of the butcher animation was the developers drawing a fine line. Yet the dungeons hilariously and horrifyingly stop that. Other players also stepped up and mentioned how this was happening‚ so I’m su...

A Study Says Growing Your Own Food Is “Bad for the Climate.” Here’s Why They’re Wrong.

Important news: growing your own food is bad for the climate. Leave it to the experts if you love the planet. Ever notice how we’re not supposed to respond to any of our current crises by learning and bettering ourselves?  We weren’t supposed to confront Covid with the conviction to improve our health through diet and exercise. We were just supposed to follow CDC guidelines.  We weren’t supposed to ask difficult questions about how war in Ukraine could have been avoided. We were just supposed to accept whatever legacy media told us.   And now it turns out that we are not supposed to address environmental concerns by shortening our food chains and lessening our reliance on complex transportation systems.  Didn’t you hear?  Growing your own food is bad for the climate. Grow flowers‚ not food. In what might be the stupidest article I’ve ever read‚ a new study from the University of Michigan announced that growing your own food in urban settings can emit five times as much carbon as those grown in “conventional” settings.   Scientists say that the emissions don’t come from the vegetables themselves but from infrastructure in the form of sheds and raised beds.  They suggest that‚ for those who must garden‚ growing high-carbon input foods like tomatoes and asparagus is less harmful.  Those foods take a lot of carbon regardless of where they’re produced.  Asparagus‚ in particular‚ is often flown into the U.S. from around the world.   The article’s suggestions to “grow green” were to: Grow tomatoes Grow asparagus Use recycled wood and building materials Repair‚ don’t replace‚ aging sheds and garden beds Grow 90% flowers‚ not foods‚ to offset emissions with “social benefits” I do grow tomatoes and asparagus because I like them‚ not because of “climate change.”  My shed is over twenty years old‚ as I imagine a lot of sheds are.  Who would put up a new shed every year? This article does not even pretend to address the carbon offset by producing your own food rather than getting it transported into cities.  I’ve been fortunate enough to live in a few agricultural valleys where I can get many of my basics (carrots‚ potatoes‚ cabbage‚ onions) grown within a 50-mile radius.   However‚ I’ve also spent time in bigger metropolitan areas‚ where you just can’t.  The Chicago metro area‚ for example‚ extends for dozens of miles in every direction from the lake.  There are some really nice farmers’ markets in the city and the suburbs‚ but in general‚ your food in Chicago is coming from a significant distance.  Any way you can shorten that will be beneficial in terms of carbon offsets. And this article doesn’t even pretend to quantify the myriad other benefits of gardening‚ benefits that also reduce costs to the environment.   Rebuttal: Growing your own food can actually benefit the environment. I began gardening as a young at-home mom with multiple children.  We lived in a suburban area. We had to drive almost everywhere. And because we were in Texas‚ with its limited publicly-owned lands‚ if I wanted to get out of the house‚ that meant we were spending money.   My family was young‚ energetic‚ and trying to make ends meet on a single income.  Our suburban garden paid for itself in terms of money saved at the grocery store within four years. However‚ I realized that the project was “worth it” almost immediately.  Time spent playing in the garden was time I did not have to spend driving around town to various playgrounds or children’s outings.  As the kids grew older‚ the garden turned into an endless science project that I didn’t have to pay for.  Our continually fed and used compost pile kept food out of landfills.  This at-home entertainment allowed us to reduce consumption without reducing our quality of life. And the money/kid entertainment value is only the beginning.  Gardens add beauty and uniqueness to suburban lots.  I can’t think of many sights more depressing than row upon row of cookie-cutter houses with cookie-cutter yards.  Think of the beginning of Harry Potter‚ when they introduce the Dursleys. Gen Xers can hearken back to the music video for Rush’s “Subdivisions.” Gardens change that.  A lot of people have to live in cookie-cutter homes for one reason or another. A skilled gardener can make any lot interesting and unique.   Mental health benefits of growing your own food This is not just some luxury.  Access to natural beauty has a whole host of benefits for mental health.  Common sense should reveal this to most of us. If you don’t want to take my word for it‚ read clinical psychologist-turned-neural imaging specialist Dr. Iain McGilchrist’s books The Master and His Emissary for a deep dive into the science behind the stress-relieving power of natural beauty. Living in a pleasant environment means less of an urge to go away all the time‚ less driving to tourist attractions‚ less money spent trying to kill the time because you can’t really relax at home.  A pleasant home reduces the need for other kinds of consumption‚ and a garden can be part of that. Gardening has other mental health benefits as well.  As a nation in the midst of a mental health crisis‚ we ought to be paying attention.  As any skill develops‚ failures occur.  If you are gardening with children‚ they will learn that sometimes seeds don’t sprout. Sometimes‚ late frosts kill things. Sometimes‚ hailstorms destroy your lovingly tended plants.  If children grow up watching their parents try‚ fail‚ and then try again‚ they grow up less afraid of making mistakes.  This builds resilience. For those who stick it out‚ the ability to grow a portion of your own food builds confidence.  Any skill‚ once mastered‚ is good for your self-image.  But growing food‚ in particular‚ gives you a sense of security and a sense of connection with past generations.  It connects you with your place; you can’t grow the same varieties in Chicago as you can in Houston.  Gardening forces you to acquaint yourself with your environment.  In our highly mobile society‚ gardening can give us a sense of stability.   All of these are facets of an experience that can make us happier‚ healthier‚ more confident‚ and less reliant on the global trade network.  Again‚ gardening is a way to reduce consumption (better for the environment) without reducing quality of life (better for us). Why take the fun out of something so wholesome? I don’t think this is just about money.  Yes‚ I think there is a push to consolidate the food supply‚ as we’ve discussed before.  The fight over independent food production seems to be getting more important every day.  In this past week‚ the European farmers’ protests have heated up enough that Belgian police began firing rubber bullets and water cannons at the protesters. But I think this aspect‚ in particular‚ the drive to make people feel guilty about an enjoyable hobby‚ has to do with demoralization. One of the lines within the articles is‚”. . .vegetables were 5.8 times better for the environment when left to the professionals.” “Left to the professionals.”  Don’t we hear that often enough?  I mean‚ sure‚ some things need to be left to professionals.  I don’t want a hobbyist resetting a broken arm. But food produced by yourself is often better than what you get from the store‚ as any experienced gardener knows.  It’s fresh and has never spent a day in the back of a truck.  The only objective standard by which “conventionally” grown produce is typically better is usually the price tag.  Living on poor-quality food is demoralizing‚ and so is the thought that we can’t take any steps to better our circumstances.   Forces within our society are trying to keep us stupid‚ helpless‚ and compliant.  This becomes more obvious to me every year.  We are constantly being seduced by the siren song of convenience‚ ease‚ and how we should just leave every aspect of our lives “to the professionals.” No.  Professionals have their place‚ but competent hobbyists have their place‚ too‚ and there are a lot of areas in your own life in which no‚ actually‚ you don’t need a college degree and specialized training.  Growing your own vegetables is one of them.   I’m not saying everyone has to get out and garden.  But if you are looking for projects‚ if you’re feeling the itch‚ don’t let the bastards get you down.  Learning to grow some of your own food is a wonderful experience.   What are your thoughts? Do you think there’s any merit to the theory of growing your own food being bad for the environment? Why do you think these theorists want to reduce self-reliance? The Unexplained UFO Portal Case in New Brighton

On the morning of Tuesday‚ July 10‚ 1979‚ a 58-year-old man named William York awoke in excruciating pain from a slipped disc at his flat at The Channel on Harrison Drive‚ Wallasey. William happened to glance out of his bedroom window and saw strange‚ unexplained lights in the sky. He later told journalists about the widely reported UFOs: “I saw one light in the distance to the south; I would say it was flying east‚ but then it quickly turned north. “Suddenly I saw four large lights‚ two at each end of a horizontal line. Then they turned east and all the lights turned into a red cloud and disappeared.” A milkman on his rounds that morning saw the same four UFOs only he had a better view of them than Mr York. He saw that they were cylindrical with rounded ends and they flew to a point just past New Brighton Lighthouse where they vanished. This spot where the unearthly craft seemed to dematerialise is known as a portal to many ufologists – it seems to be an opening near Perch Rock – an opening to where though? Physicists call such openings wormholes‚ the mouths of mind-boggling tunnels through the very fabric of the space-time continuum that could provide the human race with an instantaneous way of travelling to another star system‚ or even to far end of the universe. What’s fascinating about the 1979 sighting at Wallasey is that the same pill-shaped UFOs are being seen know – cylindrical with rounded ends – known today as the tic-tac UFOs – the very same ones that made a mockery out of the US Navy on manoeuvres in 2004 and 2015. The tic tac UFOs flew alongside strike fighter planes then left them standing. The surfaces of the UFOs‚ which were filmed in both visible and infrared light‚ showed that they had a smooth hull with no discernible ailerons or exhausts to explain their propulsion. The videos of the UFOs leaked out and resulted in the Pentagon declassifying a lot of its footage of UFOs and admitting they were real and apparently piloted by ‘non-humans’. In 2001‚ a Bebington man called me on air at Radio Merseyside on the Billy Butler Show and described a brilliant white UFO he and his wife had seen flying under the Runcorn Bridge and on towards Wirral as being shaped like a tic tac. This comparison to the breath mint evoked a few laughs but it is an accurate description of the phenomenal craft – the mathematical term for such a shape is a spherinder. The one in 2001 flew along the eastern coast of Wirral and again‚ it vanished once it flew past New Brighton Lighthouse in broad daylight. The most spectacular sighting of a tic tac UFO was during the Great Storm of 1987 when a violent cyclone with hurricane-force gales struck the country on October 15-16. Just before the apocalyptic storm battered the UK‚ the BBC weatherman Michael Fish famously told viewers before his forecast‚ “Earlier on today‚ apparently‚ a woman rang the BBC and said she heard there was a hurricane on the way; well‚ if you’re watching‚ don’t worry‚ there isn’t.” Then the storm made landfall in Cornwall. It caused £2 billion damage and resulted in 18 deaths. Gusts of over 100 mph battered Wirral. Police closed part of Liverpool Road‚ Neston‚ after it flooded to a depth of three feet under a railway bridge‚ and vehicles had to be abandoned in a Biblical flood which swamped Eastham Rake‚ but up in the north-east corner of the Wirral peninsula‚ the raging seas looked as if they were going to engulf New Brighton lighthouse‚ and a woman in her sixties named Elaine screamed because she was sure her dog had been swept out to sea. Her car had been blown off the road and she’d hit a bollard. Getting out to assess the damage‚ the lady’s poodle slipped out and seemed to vanish. Thinking the worst‚ Elaine was leaning into the maelstrom of the screaming winds at almost a 45 degree angle as she tried to look for her beloved pooch – when she saw something very strange: a gigantic craft hovering stock still behind the lighthouse. Elaine later described it as resembling a giant white pill. The waves were almost as high as the 95 feet tall lighthouse and the winds were in excess of 100 mph – and yet that craft was not moving an inch. After watching the UFO for about twenty seconds‚ Elaine was startled by the craft’s sudden departure. It was there one moment and then it was a spot of light heading north across Liverpool Bay. In tears‚ Elaine turned around and was blown back to her car. She got into the vehicle to find the poodle curled up in a ball on the passenger seat‚ its ears flat against its head as it was spooked by the howling banshee winds outside the vehicle. Elaine cried tears of laughter and drove home. The next day she heard a news report about a pill-shaped UFO that had been seen flying towards the north as if passed over the Isle of Man. The pill shape Elaine describes tallies well with our tic tac UFOs. In much calmer weather‚ numerous people have seen some strange things come through the New Brighton portal. In August 2022‚ a couple stood on Wallasey’s King’s Parade‚ looking out to sea. It was a calm warm night and as the couple looked at the moonlight twinkling on the waves‚ they became aware of an oval black shape which appeared about sixty feet above the water. Out of this ‘hole’ in the night air came a line of six red glowing globes which flew inland in complete silence and passed perilously close to two blocks of flats near Wellington Road. The couple looked back at the ‘hole’ above the waters and saw it was rapidly shrinking in size and within a minute it was gone. In March 2023‚ a woman jogging along King’s Parade saw what seems to have been the same mysterious dark aperture about 600 yards out to sea. The woman thought her eyes were playing tricks on her at first‚ but then she saw two red orbs of light emerge from the hole‚ which then closed up. The lights flew towards the east and faded away. If someone could only send a drone with a camera into that hole‚ should it open again‚ I wonder what we would see… Author: Tom Slemen‚ who is a Liverpool writer‚ known foremostly as the author of the best-selling Haunted Liverpool series of books which document paranormal incidents and unsolved or unusual crimes. Honkai Star Rail RTX 4090 leaks and it’s actually stunning

We've seen the worlds of anime and PC hardware collide before‚ but this latest crossover is genuinely stunning. An MSI Suprim X Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics card has been spotted sporting an Honkai Star Rail Ruan Mei design. MSI isn't the first company to look at making an anime RTX 4090 graphics card‚ with the Asus Evangelion lineup also making a splash last year. However‚ this Honkai Star Rail edition of one of the best graphics card options has a snappy design. I would be far happier with this Ruan Mei design in my gaming PC‚ thanks to its subtler design and color palette.
