A left-wing politician in England has requested that her government amend the law to allow for alleged transgender people to have their official genders changed after they have died.Charlotte Nichols‚ a Labour Party politician from Warrington North in England‚ called for a change in a written parliamentary question. A drone strike that hit a Syrian military base on Sunday killed at least six allied Kurdish soldiers. There were also U.S. troops stationed at the base‚ but there were no American casualties in the attack‚ according to Fox News Digital.The strike hit a training ground at al-Omar in Syria's Deir el-Zour province. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces said that the drone attack struck a part of the base where commando units were training.Britain-based opposition war monitor Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said there were at least seven Kurdish fighters killed in the attack and at least 18 others injured. Some of those injured are reportedly in critical condition.The report mentioned that this is the first major attack in Syria or Iraq since the U.S. launched attacks against Iran-backed militias. Militias have been carrying out attacks in the area since Hamas launched a surprise attack against Israel on October 7.The SDF initially said the attack was carried out by "Syrian regime-backed mercenaries" but accused "Iran-backed militias." The Islamic Resistance — a generalized term that represents all Iran-backed Iraqi militias — claimed responsibility for the attack on Sunday and later released a video of the attack.This is not the first time the group has launched an attack against U.S. forces. Late last month‚ the same group carried out a drone strike that killed three U.S. troops and wounded dozens more at a base in Jordan‚ according to Military.com.
