Collusion Cackles? Max Boot's Wife Indicted as Agent of South Korea

Buried at the bottom of page A-3, today's Washington Post ran a little item headlined "Ex-CIA expert accused of aiding South Korea." Sue Mi Terry was "indicted on criminal charges of acting as an agent of South Korea," failing to register as a foreign agent -- like Hunter Biden. At the bottom of paragraph 8, we learned Terry is "the wife of Post columnist Max Boot." Wow! That's the collusion-pushing Max Boot who loved to suggest Donald Trump was an agent of Putin's Russia. Conservative Twitter was amused at the idea that Boot was so suspicious of Team Trump's foreign intrigues he seemed to be missing the activity of his own wife. Or did he? Terry's lawyer is fiercely contesting the indictment from the Southern District of New York.  WaPo journo Max Boot was married to an unregistered foreign agent who was just indicted hahahahahaha https://t.co/Pnq0MNRnxy pic.twitter.com/TGoqOlTHFc — Jarvis (@jarvis_best) July 17, 2024 Russian Spy Hunter, Max Boot, was married to a real life foreign spy while he pushed the debunked Russian collusion hoax in the page of the Washington Post. Evidently he never noticed all of the expensive luxury goods his wife, Sue Mi Terry, was bringing home. pic.twitter.com/9dgVmsCLg5 — @amuse (@amuse) July 18, 2024 The New York Times also published a story, at top of Page A-9 on Thursday. They noted part of her influence-peddling was journalistic. Boot popped up in paragraph 18:  Ms. Terry made media appearances and wrote articles in American and South Korean publications reflecting Seoul’s policy priorities, the indictment said, including an opinion piece for The New York Times in 2014. She also co-wrote a piece with her husband, Max Boot, a Washington Post columnist, about the improving relationship between South Korea and Japan. That's a journalistic embarrassment on top of the political embarrassment. The Post could not disclose they were being used by a foreign power. But that's okay. Before his grotesque execution, the Post published Jamal Khashoggi's opinion pieces, and he was having them "shaped" by his advisers in the government of Qatar. The Post story reported the indictment said South Korea’s National Intelligence Service ”dined with her at luxury restaurants in New York and D.C. and bought her Louis Vuitton and Bottega Veneta handbags and a Dolce & Gabbana coat…Terry provided the intelligence officials with information and access to congressional staffers and high-ranking U.S. government officials.” There was also $37,000 in NIS money in the bargain. It's a classic Washington story of gaming the political and media system for personal gain....even as your prance about accusing others of foreign intrigue! Max Boot should probably take a sabbatical and fulsomely apologize for his hypocrisy.

ABC, NBC Skip Gold Star Families at RNC; Nets Give Vance Surprisingly Good Marks

With President Biden contracting Covid Wednesday and showing even more physical impairment in his grim gait on and off Air Force One, the Republican National Convention was knocked off the pole position Thursday morning for the flagship major news shows of ABC, CBS, and NBC. But when they did get to the RNC, they receive only mixed grades as ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today failed to mention the emotional video and series of speeches by Gold Star families about their loved ones who were killed in 2021 during Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. On the flip side, the networks were surprisingly muted and, dare we say it, positive toward Senator JD Vance’s (R-OH) speech accepting the GOP’s vice presidential nomination. But first, the Afghanistan portion of the evening led to a moment few, if any, had seen before at a convention. ABC’s Terry Moran was moved during coverage on the streaming platform, ABC News Live: ABC's @TerryMoran on the Gold Star families at #RNC2024: "David, I'm not sure I've ever experienced anything like that at a convention. The connection between this crowd and those family members of the fallen. It was just absolutely extraordinary. The emotions, the call and… pic.twitter.com/Nr8pTUT6mu — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) July 18, 2024 With ABC and NBC not interested on Thursday morning, we’ll point readers to this link from our friend Matthew Foldi, who wrote in The Spectator about the Gold Star families and their anguish CBS correspondent Ed O’Keefe did the right thing: This, from @EdOKeefe on @CBSMornings, was the only mention on the big three network morning newscasts (ABC, CBS, and NBC) of the Gold Star families who spoke at the #RNC2024 about their lost loved ones during the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan. pic.twitter.com/GPwkwDsfXx — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) July 18, 2024 As for Vance, O’Keefe kept it cursory, which one could say was a positive for any Republican (click “expand”): O’KEEFE: [L]ast night was all about J.D. Vance. The 29-year-old senator in politics such a short time, this was his first-ever Republican convention. What a way to start. He spent much of the evening talking about his background, using his youth — at least compared to the other guys — to his advantage and attacking President Biden. [VANCE CLIP] O’KEEFE: Noting his humble beginnings in Ohio, Senator JD Vance made his appeal to working class Americans — [VANCE CLIP] O’KEEFE: — and he wasted no time going after President Biden. [VANCE CLIP] O’KEEFE: Vance was introduced by his wife Usha, who’s the daughter of Indian immigrants and who he met at Yale Law School. USHA VANCE: The JD I knew then is the same JD you see today — except for that beard. O’KEEFE: Ohio Governor Mike DeWine told us Vance’s personal story is a big asset. GOVERNOR MIKE DEWINE (R-OH): He’s gone through in his own life’s story — it’s a story that many Americans have gone through. Co-host Tony Dokoupil said he “ma[de] an impression” with a speech “detail[ing] his rise from Middletown, Ohio, a childhood marked by poverty, his father’s incarceration, and his mother’s addiction” as well as denouncing “what he sees as the failed policies of past administrations, notably including Republicans, but especially and consistently things supported by Joe Biden.” Even co-host and Democratic donor Gayle King was moved, saying Vance gave “quite the introduction” and admitted she “love[s]” his memoir, Hillbilly Elegy. Chief election and campaign correspondent, Robert Costa also put his daggers away for Vance, boasting his speech “was an overture to working Americans in states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin” who “are the key voters in the election.” NBC’s Today similarly didn’t have anything bad to say. Co-host Savannah Guthrie said Wednesday was “[a] rollicking show of unity” with Vance’s speech serving as “the hallmark” of the day while Democrats grappled with “questions...about the political future...of the President of the United States.” Sunday Today host Willie Geist replied Vance’s “big introduction to the nation by far the biggest moment of his political career”, so he delivered “a deeply personal and biographical speech.” After its Biden coverage, senior Washington correspondent Hallie Jackson didn’t put a foot wrong in either hour. Here was her first hour (click “expand”): JACKSON: Overnight, Ohio Senator JD Vance making his prime time political debut. [VANCE CLIP] JACKSON: Donald Trump’s running mate highlighting his rural upbringing in Middletown, Ohio. [VANCE CLIP] JACKSON: The author of Hillbilly Elegy, connecting his turbulent childhood raised in poverty to key voter issues like inflation and immigration. Vance also honoring his late grandmother who raised him while his mother struggled with addiction. She was there last night watching from the hall. [VANCE CLIP] JACKSON: The former self-described Never Trumper now positioning himself as a loyal number two, repeatedly name-dropping key rust belt battlegrounds the Trump campaign hopes to win come November. [VANCE CLIP] JACKSON: And Vance not shying away from attacks on President Biden, pointedly referencing his own age at 39 years old, the first millennial on a major party ticket. (....) GUTHRIE: [The Trump campaign] view[s] him as their path to the Midwest and these states — the rust belt states, where he obviously grew up, and he — he was emphasizing those blue collar roots. JACKSON: You saw that over and over again, especially with those references to Michigan, that he ad libbed, to Wisconsin to Pennsylvania. When I talk to sources in and around the trump campaign, they talk about seeing JD Vance as an asset, specifically in the Rust Belt and you may wonder why. Donald Trump is already likely to win over those rural, exurban voters, but it’s all about trying to boost turnout inside the Rust Belt. Donald Trump has a slight lead in those three battleground states, but it is inside the margin of error. And the Trump campaign is looking to lock that in. They’re hoping J.D. Vance will be the ticket for that. GUTHRIE: And they really are must-wins for the Democrats for a path to 270 for — for President Biden. ABC’s Good Morning America had correspondent Rachel Scott on the case and played it straightforward to the point that liberals would be irked, relaying to viewers that Vance “leaned on his Midwestern roots to make the case for the Republican ticket” and “introduced himself to the nation” as a pick by Trump “in part for his ability to preach Trump’s populist message, denouncing trade deals, immigration, and inflation, and laying it at the feet of President Biden, a sharp reminder of the President’s age.” “Vance grew up in poverty in the Rust Belt, served in the Marine Corps, and attended Yale Law School. While working as venture capitalist, he rose to fame with his 2016 working class memoir, Hillbilly Elegy, a bestseller-turned Ron Howard film...Vance repeatedly relying on that biography, especially as he tries to appeal to the Midwestern swing states that will decide this election,” she added. It wasn’t all fun and games as, after more laudatory notes, she ended by invoking the aftermath of the 2020 election (click “expand”): SCOTT: Trump, of course, is not even on speaking terms with the first vice president, Mike Pence who defied pressure from the former President and ultimately ended up certifying the 2020 election results. Senator JD Vance has suggested that he would have followed Trump’s lead and would have handled that entirely differently. So, tonight, here on the fourth and final night, it is Donald Trump’s turn to take the stage and officially accept the Republican’s party’s [sic] nomination for president. Now, Trump himself has said that he ripped up his speech after that attempted assassination on his life to focus more on unity, but after his rhetoric this campaign, we will see whether or not that holds, George. GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: Right, Rachel, and just to underscore something you just said there, he made it very clear that he would not have certified the 2020 election. UNCANNY: Biden hints he’d drop out if 'some medical condition emerged' just hours before he’s diagnosed with COVID-19

While Democrats and conservatives alike have been calling for Biden to drop out of the presidential race due to concerns over his cognitive decline, Biden and his administration have had their heels dug in, insisting that he’s perfectly capable of the job. However, after Biden’s interview with NBC News’ Lester Holt, the tone seems to have magically shifted. Dave Rubin plays a clip of Biden perhaps hinting that he may in fact drop out. Joe Biden Accidentally Drops a Clue That He’s About to Drop Out youtu.be “If I had some medical condition that emerged – if doctors came to me and said you got this problem, that problem,” he told Holt, insinuating that he would step aside if it were deemed medically necessary. Well, doctors indeed came to him with a problem shortly following the interview. Just mere hours later, as Biden prepared to deliver a speech at a Unidos event in Las Vegas, he suddenly came down with COVID-19. It’s “perfectly timed,” if you ask Dave. Considering everything that’s working against Biden – Trump’s “incredible amount of momentum” following the first debate and the “assassination attempt” and the extraordinary amount of unity occurring at the RNC currently – it’s no wonder “Democrats are in utter disarray,” says Dave. “The powers that be at the DNC are trying to figure out what to do here. They can't really force him out; there won't be enough votes on the 25th Amendment side; they have such a freaking thin bench between Kamala and [Pete Buttigieg]. ... There's just nobody left, and Obama is basically realizing he's not going to get his fourth term, so they need to force him out now to just do something to change the narrative,” he explains. To hear more of how Democrats are moving toward ousting Biden, watch the video above. Trump personally rewriting tonight's acceptance speech after assassination attempt

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Former President Donald Trump is putting the final touches on his acceptance speech for the final night of the Republican National Convention. Trump started a complete rewrite of the speech after he was shot during Saturday's assassination attempt. An RNC official told reporters Thursday morning Trump will be much more personal and will focus on unifying not just the GOP but the country at large.Trump has credited God for helping to save his life as he turned his head right before suspected gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks fired his rifle, with the first bullet piercing the top of Trump's right ear. Commentators watching the RNC have noted it appears Trump is humbled by the near-death experience.Tonight's speakers include Tucker Carlson, Hulk Hogan, and Dana White. White will speak before Trump takes the stage.Security concerns at the RNC, while heightened, are not top of mind for the attendees as there are dozens of law enforcement agencies from around the country who are on the ground to prevent anything serious from taking place.U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle did meet with Trump at the RNC on Wednesday. While Cheatle was inside the Fiserv Forum, she was peppered with questions by members of Congress on the security failures of Saturday's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. While at first acknowledging the agency failed, Cheatle did not provide more details and promised she would be providing answers at a later date.Cheatle then left and refused to answer any further questions. — (@) One of the most shocking revelations about the assassination attempt is that the Secret Service reportedly was aware Crooks was up on the unsecured roof ten minutes prior to Trump taking the stage.Like Blaze News? Secret Service scandal: MORE shocking security failures exposed by expert

In less than a week, analysis of the near-assassination of Donald Trump has exposed a number of failures on the part of the Secret Service team that was assigned to secure the rally and protect the former president from danger. Glenn Beck’s head researcher and writer Jason Buttrill, who’s also a former Department of Defense intelligence analyst and one who’s “[worked] side by side with the Secret Service,” sheds light on the glaring holes in the failed protective operation. Secret Service SCANDAL: Shocking Security Failures EXPOSED by Expert youtu.be “It should be almost impossible to pull off what happened on Saturday,” Jason tells Glenn. Per standard protocol, “Secret Service [goes] out weeks in advance” in order to “set up a multi-tiered security plan.” Part of that plan involves fully vetting the first three tiers of people in front of where the protectee stands. “They also identify further out threats,” says Jason. “They identify ... potential sniper positions going all the way to a thousand yards.” Thomas Matthew Crooks fired, however, from “130 yards” out – a position Jason assures “would have been identified” prior to the rally. Further, for each potential sniper position, “They would have local law enforcement guarding those areas to make sure no one would gain access.” “There’s multiple questions here that need to be asked,” says Jason. “Knowing this entire complex plan, did the Secret Service designate those sniper positions?” Assuming they did secure potential sniper positions, “Did law enforcement adequately man those positions?” To that question, Jason says, “It does not appear so on the videos that we've seen,” adding that it was “tailgaters” who spotted the shooter and informed law enforcement of his whereabouts. Glenn then brings up the fact that the Secret Service team in charge at the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally has repeatedly stated that the roof from where the shooter fired “wasn't part of the secure perimeter.” “To say as an excuse that it was outside the secured perimeter is absolutely ridiculous,” says Jason, adding that he’s personally witnessed the extreme lengths Secret Service will go to to ensure protection. But there’s one more question that begs answering — a question Jason says is “the scariest.” “Was there help given to the shooter?” Jason isn’t the first to ask this question. Dallas Alexander, the world record holder for the longest confirmed sniper kill, has actually openly stated his belief that this was an “inside job.” “Do you believe that is a realistic possibility?” Glenn asks Jason. Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling, thought-provoking analysis, and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream. Dad awarded full custody of son whose mother tries to raise him 'non-binary' celebrates major victory with Allie Beth Stuckey

A California man professes to be "ecstatic" after he was awarded full custody of his son, Sawyer, whose mother has attempted to raise him as "non-binary." In his first interview since being granted full custody, the proud dad sits down with BlazeTV host Allie Beth Stuckey to share the details of his tumultuous journey and to give encouragement to others in a similar situation.Several years ago, Harrison Tinsley had a brief relationship with a woman in the Bay Area. Soon after meeting, the two conceived a child together, a boy named Sawyer. However, the boy's mother, who reportedly has serious mental health diagnoses, quickly detached herself from Tinsley. In fact, Tinsley did not meet his son until the boy was more than a year old.Shockingly, she may have conscripted Sawyer into engaging in the fight with her father, as Sawyer apparently struck his grandfather in the face with a plastic object. Sawyer told Tinsley he had done so at his mother's request.Tinsley spent the first several years of Sawyer's life fighting to gain full custody of his son, even as the courts stubbornly kept custody evenly split between Sawyer's two parents. Last fall, Tinsley shared with Stuckey his heartbreaking frustration as he endured having just "half-custody" of Sawyer.Little did Tinsley know that his prospects would soon change.Last week, less than a year since his first interview with Stuckey, Tinsley was awarded fully custody of Sawyer, who is now 4 and a half. On Thursday's episode of "Relatable," Tinsley speaks with Stuckey once again to celebrate this major victory."It's, like, an absolute miracle, dream come true," Tinsley said.Tinsley went on to explain that he has "full physical custody," which means Sawyer lives with Tinsley, while Sawyer's mother has "a couple of visits per week." Though future legal battles remain a very real possibility, Tinsley is thrilled that he gets to have Sawyer full-time while Sawyer maintains a relationship with his mother."As far as legal custody goes, we essentially have to discuss things," Tinsley explained. "But at the end of the day, if we don't agree, I have the final say."Stuckey expressed admiration for Tinsley's unwavering devotion to his son. "It's a big sacrifice," she noted. "It took you a lot of time, a lot of effort, a lot of financial resources, and you did it because your son was worth it to you."While Tinsley has done his best to provide a stable, healthy environment for his son, Sawyer's mother's mental health struggles seem to have continued. Not only does she still use they/them pronouns in reference to Sawyer, but she has even had several arrests, including after a physical altercation with her father. Shockingly, she may have conscripted Sawyer into engaging in that fight, as Sawyer apparently struck his grandfather in the face with a plastic object. Sawyer told Tinsley he had done so at his mother's request, though she denied that. "The mother claims that he did it just in her honor without her saying anything," Tinsley recalled to Stuckey. "I tend to believe Sawyer."Tinsley and Stuckey also discussed the far-left political climate of the Bay Area and California in general. Tinsley has recently become an advocate for parental rights in his state even as LGBTQ radicals recently passed legislation allowing schools to keep children's so-called gender transitions a secret.Tinsley called Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom "a horrible person" and a bad leader, but he claimed that those at the local level mainly work for the best interest of children, regardless of politics. "CPS in San Francisco ... should be commended," Tinsley said. "They did their job, politics aside. ... They put all that aside and did their job and did what's best for Sawyer."Tinsley also wanted to encourage others facing a similar custody or other legal battle. "Don't give up, no matter what. No matter how hard it feels, no matter how discouraged you feel," he insisted. "You got to keep going and find a way to keep moving forward. That's what life's about. It's always darkest just before the dawn.""You never know what will happen. Just do everything you can. And even if you were to fail, you'll feel much better about having tried so hard than if you didn't."The entire interview with Tinsley will be aired on YouTube and BlazeTV on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. ET. 'God was with me': Trump says surviving assassination attempt changed his attitude and 'viewpoint about life'

Former President Donald Trump talked about the assassination attempt on his life and said the experience has changed his attitude and "viewpoint about life." The former president made the comments before an audience at a private event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where the Republican National Convention is being held. He was introducing a documentary about himself. 'That's why they call it close call!'"This has been our best campaign, and then I got shot!" said Trump at the event. "How does that happen?" he asked while the audience chanted, "Fight, fight, fight!" "How does that happen? But I got lucky, God was with me," he added. "That's why they call it close call! That was an amazing, horrible thing, an amazing thing. In many ways it changes your attitude, your viewpoint on life. And honestly I think you appreciate God even more, I really do, because something happened, not that it was pleasant," Trump continued. "It wasn't like it was a complete miss," he added. "But it was pretty terrible that that can happen." PBS News obtained the video from someone at the event and published it on PBS' social media account. Trump is scheduled to give the keynote address at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, later on Thursday. He has said that the shooting has made him change his speech in order to meet the moment. “This is a chance to bring the whole country, even the whole world, together. The speech will be a lot different, a lot different than it would’ve been two days ago,” Trump said in a separate interview. The Secret Service has been heavily criticized for the failure in providing security at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where the former president was nearly assassinated. Like Blaze News?
