As NewsBusters has documented since the start of the Israel/Hamas war‚ CBS News reporters have been strong supporters of Hamas and have decried Israel’s fight for their right to exist. Well‚ during Wednesday’s CBS Mornings‚ foreign correspondent Debora Patta sat down with a Hamas commander/recruiter and a pro-Palestinian Israeli to discuss the path to ending the conflict. Their solution? The Jewish state of Israel has to give up its land. After commiserating with the Hamas commander about how he organizes attacks on Israeli Defense Forces and what they expected to happen in reaction to October 7‚ she commiserated with “veteran Israeli hostage negotiator” Gershom Baskin‚ who seemed to side with the terrorists’ cause‚ which Patta appreciated: PATTA: He knows Hamas well. BASKIN: The more that Israel hits Hamas the stronger Hamas will grow. PATTA: As for Netanyahu's repeatedly stated aim of eliminating Hamas -- BASKIN: The only way you defeat an idea and an ideology is by providing a better idea and a better ideology. “Baskin points out that Netanyahu's biggest crime is convincing Israelis that occupying another people for decades and still have peace‚” Patta touted‚ using Hamas’s propaganda language.     Patta’s report culminated in Baskin and the Hamas commander agreeing that Israel needed to give up their claims to the land of Israel: PATTA: So‚ where does this all end? All this killing‚ all this suffering? RECRUITER (via translator): The killing and the suffering ends when the Israelis walk out of our land. But if they decide to stay‚ we shall continue to fight. And if I die‚ somebody else will take my place. PATTA: Asked the same question‚ how it all ends‚ Baskin said when young Palestinians no longer believe their only option is to die for Palestine. BASKIN: That will happen when Palestine becomes real for them. It's about time that the United States‚ for example‚ recognizes the state of Palestine. In coming back to the live shot‚ Patta boasted that Hamas’s support in the West Bank “has gone up‚” but added that their support in Gaza has waned‚ citing some people being more outspoken against them. She didn’t seem to correlate that new-found ability to speak out with what she and Baskin claimed was impossible: the IDF breaking Hamas’s back. Ironically‚ as Patta spoke‚ the on-screen headline underneath her read “recruited by Hamas” (pictured above). After Patta was off the screen‚ CBS Mornings co-anchor Tony Dokoupil took issue with their notion that Israelis had to give up their birthright. He agreed with the idealist notion of a two-state solution‚ but pointed out that the extremist rhetoric was what kept many Israelis from coming to the negotiating table: [W]hat’s notable is‚ you hear that commander from Hamas talk about ‘my land’ and ‘there will not be peace until Israel leaves my land.’ He's not talking about two states; he’s talking about all of Israel. That's what the hard right in Israel hears when they say a two-state solution is impossible because look what we're dealing with. “And you don't hear civilians talk in Gaza about getting rid of Hamas much on camera because Hamas has a long‚ documented history of severe torture and violence against all of their political enemies. In fact‚ they threw other Palestinians out in 2007 when they took power‚” he added. The transcript is below. You know‚ Gershom Baskin is absolutely correct that a two-state solution is the only path to peace. Everyone knows that. It's patently obvious. But what’s notable is‚ you hear that commander from Hamas talk about “my land” and “there will not be peace until Israel leaves my land.” He's not talking about two states; he’s talking about all of Israel. That's what the hard right in Israel hears when they say a two-state solution is impossible because look what we're dealing with. GAYLE KING: Exactly. Bobulinski asserted “The Biden family business was Joe Biden‚ period.”  So how much time did the Big 3 (ABC‚ CBS‚ NBC) broadcast networks devote to the Bobulinski revelations on their Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning shows? 0 seconds.  The man who fingered President Joe Biden as “The Big Guy”  offered detailed testimony that proved President Biden had been repeatedly lying when he claimed he knew nothing about Hunter’s business dealings.  The following are the devastating revelations detailed in Bobulinski’s opening statement:   “Joe Biden was aware of the CEFC transaction‚ enabled it and had a constitutional responsibility and obligation to the American people to shut it down before it began. This is because CEFC had been identified as a known surrogate of the Chinese Communist Party by the U.S. Government and prosecutors in the Southern District of New York as far back as 2016‚ possibly earlier. … Joe Biden’s immediate family members were enriched to the tune of tens of millions of dollars from some of our most dangerous adversaries‚ including the Chinese Communist Party and players from Russia‚ Ukraine‚ Romania‚ Kazakhstan and other foreign nations and entities. …  The Biden family – Joe’s son Hunter and his brother Jim - knowingly and aggressively defrauded me as the CEO of SinoHawk Holdings and as a member of Oneida Holdings‚ LLC at the end of July 2017. They put Joe Biden and the rest of the Biden family smack in the middle of a $9 Billion transaction between Russia and China involving Qatar (specifically‚ the Qatar Investment Authority)‚ and helped CEFC navigate through various issues before Patrick Ho‚ a CEFC executive‚ was arrested for corruption in New York in November 2017. Joe Biden’s status as the head of the family served an enforcement role – for example‚ when Hunter stated deliberately that his father Joe was sitting right next to him while demanding immediate payment of the $10 million CEFC had committed to the Biden family‚ as well as when Hunter demanded CEFC circumvent SinoHawk Holdings. … United States law enforcement appears to have been singularly unwilling to speak with me or to hear the facts we will be discussing today. I have never been contacted to provide testimony nor asked to speak with anyone connected with Joe Biden’s administration‚ including his Department of Justice‚ the Federal Bureau of Investigation‚ the Internal Revenue Service‚ or local law  enforcement. That includes U.S. Attorney David Weiss for the District of Delaware or any of the several grand juries I now know were convened after my name became publicly known. On October 23‚ 2020‚ I voluntarily walked into the Washington Field Office of the FBI with several phones containing years of encrypted communications between me and numerous members of the Biden family and their associates. That conversation‚ which was subject to False Statement statutes‚ lasted many hours‚ and was never followed up upon by anyone in government or law enforcement in any way.” ABC‚ CBS and NBC’s refusal to air even a second of this explosive testimony is just another glaring example of their continued cooperation in helping the Bidens cover-up scandals that could devastate the administration and get in the way of advancing their leftist agenda. 

The ‘He Gets Us’ campaign is drawing controversy after purchasing two Super Bowl spots for commercials that they claim were meant to help everyone “rediscover the love story of Jesus.” One of the ads portrayed people of different backgrounds washing the feet of others. In one scene‚ a police officer is seen washing the feet of a young black youth. Allie Beth Stuckey believes something’s just not right with the ads. “We want to cheer it on‚ we want to say‚ ‘Yes‚ at least Jesus is being proclaimed to the masses’ and ‘Wow‚ what a crazy opportunity that a Super Bowl ad is being dedicated to Jesus and the gospel‚’” Stuckey says‚ adding‚ “But I don’t want to ignore‚ and I don’t want you to ignore‚ that nagging feeling that we all have that this is just not right.” The slogan‚ “He Gets Us‚” is an issue in itself. “It makes Jesus about you‚ who you are‚ what you want‚ what you're trying to create‚” Stuckey explains. “In an effort to do that‚” she continues‚ “they end up saying things that are not true. They have an ad that says‚ ‘Jesus was an immigrant‚ Jesus was a refugee‚’ and it looks like they are comparing him to the immigrants who are illegally crossing over the border.” For the ads to compare Jesus to us is to miss the point of who Jesus was and what he stood for. “Instead what it affirms‚” Stuckey says‚ “is‚ 'Yeah‚ it actually is all about you. On Thursday‚ a grief-stricken mother of a Los Angeles shooting victim slammed Democratic District Attorney George Gascón for his progressive policies that have shown "more sympathy" to criminals than to victims.Emma Rivas confronted Gascón during a district attorney debate last week. Rivas' 25-year-old son was murdered in 2016. "My child was killed by a gang member‚ and you had more sympathy for that gang member than my child who was killed in front of my home. Can you explain to me? Because I've been looking for you for four years‚" she stated.In what appeared to be a relatively insincere response‚ Gascón said‚ "Look‚ I am broken-hearted for your loss. Yes‚ I am." He then went on to defend his policies."The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. We as a country and we as a community have been doing the same thing for generations‚" he added. L.A. Since 2020‚ Gascón has managed to dodge two separate recall attempts. Shortly after he was elected‚ Gascón prohibited prosecutors from pursuing enhanced punishments for gang members‚ KTTV reported. Gascón is now facing 11 primary challengers vying for his position‚ most of whom have spoken out against the policy.During the Thursday debate‚ when candidates were asked whether they believed there should be gang-related crime enhancements‚ Gascón was the only one not to raise his hand. During a Sunday interview with "Fox &; Friends Weekend‚" Rivas said‚ "This is the first time in history‚ 180 years‚ that we've ever had a DA that has a heart for criminals and not a heart for the victims. There are parents that lost their children to murder that are 16‚ 17 years old and getting five years in jail. Where's the justice in this?" she asked."And he sits there smiling and laughing‚ and he just doesn't care‚" Rivas continued. "He's not fit to be a DA‚ and his assistant is a defense attorney. How did we get to this? And why aren't people realizing this man is no good for L.A.? He already ruined San Francisco‚ and now he's doing the same thing in Los Angeles County."According to a KTTV poll‚ Gascón is currently in the lead with 15% support‚ and Deputy District Attorney Jonathan Hatami is in second with 8%. However‚ 64% of those polled stated they do not know which candidate they will vote for in the DA election."I'm running for District Attorney for ALL of you. Democrats‚ Republicans and everyone in between. We are the leading challenger in this race‚" Hatami wrote in a post on X. Award-winning journalist Catherine Herridge is out of a job.On Tuesday‚ CBS News parted ways with Herridge‚ a senior investigative correspondent who primarily covered national security and intelligence. She had most recently reported on new allegations against President Joe Biden and the battle to release the transcripts of Biden's interviews with special counsel Robert Hur.Herridge was seemingly caught up in a mass layoff impacting approximately 800 employees at Paramount Global‚ the parent company of CBS News. But sources who spoke with the New York Post alleged that axing Herridge was not simply a cost-cutting measure.The Post reported:Sources said Herridge had clashed with CBS News president Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews — a sharp-elbowed executive who was investigated in 2021 over favoritism and discriminatory hiring and management practices‚ as revealed by The Post."[Ciprian-Matthews] got rid of her enemies under the guise of budget cuts‚" a source told the Post. "She cleared the deck and she had to sacrifice some others like [CBS News correspondent Jeff] Pegues."Before joining CBS News in 2019‚ Herridge had worked at Fox News since its inception in 1996. Herridge is a widely respected journalist who often reported on topics the legacy media ignored. It was a shock‚ then‚ that Herridge was chosen as one of the reported 20 journalists at CBS News to be laid off.Her surprise termination was widely eulogized on social media at CBS News' expense:"CBS News was one of the most respected names in journalism. That's no longer the case. Today‚ it fired Catherine Herridge who is facing financial ruin and even prison for protecting her sources. Herridge is a hero. CBS execs have behaved cowardly.
