The United States and United Kingdom launched a new wave of airstrikes against Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists inside of Yemen on Saturday in response to the Islamic terrorist group’s latest acts of aggression in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. The strikes — which happened around midnight local time and were supported by Australia‚ Bahrain‚ Canada‚ Denmark‚ the Netherlands‚ and New Zealand — were carried out against 18 Houthi targets. “The targets included Houthi underground weapons storage facilities‚ missile storage facilities‚ one-way attack unmanned aerial systems‚ air defense systems‚ radars‚ and a helicopter‚” U.S. Central Command said in a statement. “These strikes are intended to degrade Houthi capability and disrupt their continued reckless and unlawful attacks on international commercial and U.S. and U.K. vessels in the Red Sea‚ Bab AI-Mandeb Strait‚ and the Gulf of Aden.” The statement highlighted how the Houthi attacks have “disrupted humanitarian aid bound for Yemen‚ harmed Middle Eastern economies‚ and caused environmental damage.” The strikes were not part of the multinational freedom of navigation actions performed under Operation Prosperity Guardian‚ which is a group of nations that have dedicated resources to protecting merchant vessels that are seeking to use the Suez Canal. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin — who referred to the Houthis as a “militia‚” while CENTCOM correctly referred to them as a terrorist group — claimed that the administration “will not hesitate to take action‚ as needed‚ to defend lives and the free flow of commerce in one of the world’s most critical waterways.” The Biden administration has failed to launch strong enough strikes against the Houthis to deter attacks against the merchant ships and against U.S. Navy ships in the region. The Washington Post’s Taylor Lorenz on Saturday sat down with the woman behind the popular “Libs of TikTok” X account‚ Chaya Raichik‚ for a videotaped interview‚ and made a stunning admission. Lorenz‚ who doxxed and has routinely targeted Raichik‚ mostly for reposting videos that people on the Left post of themselves‚ admitted that she has not viewed some of the most sexually graphic material aimed at children that Raichik has posted about online. Still‚ Lorenz was ready to defend the sexual content and suggest Raichik is a hateful bigot for standing against its promotion in schools. At one point in the interview‚ Lorenz says she “doesn’t know” about the content Raichik has posted on her feed and argued that any sexual education a “sex educator” deems necessary is good. In response‚ Raichik pulled up images of gay oral sex from controversial book “Gender Queer” to show Lorenz‚ who was left speechless for a moment‚ before defending the content. A college student who has been accused of killing his roommate and one other individual in a dorm at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs reportedly told his roommate that he would "kill him" if he was asked to take the trash out one more time‚ according to the Associated Press.The situation was reported to the campus police and housing officials in early January‚ but there was no effort by the police to separate the suspect from the room. Chris Valentine‚ who is a spokesperson for the university‚ said that no additional information about the situation could be given since the investigation is still ongoing.The report stated that Nicholas Jordan‚ 25‚ of Detroit‚ was charged with two counts of first-degree murder‚ felony menacing‚ and committing a crime of violence in the February 16 murder of his roommate. The authorities said that a teacher from northwest Indiana was found dead in a school stairwell after they did not show up after a relative came to the school to pick them up‚ according to the New York Post. The body was not discovered until the next morning.Craig Jones‚ 47‚ was discovered by the maintenance staff at the school. He was found on the landing on a second-floor stairwell at East Chicago Lighthouse Charter School‚ according to the authorities.Initial findings in the investigation indicate that Jones contacted his family Thursday night to ask for a ride home around 10:30 p.m. The call came after he communicated that he had to return to work late. The Kansas City Star reported that a man in Indiana has been accused of setting up hidden cameras disguised as alarm clocks to monitor women without their consent.Kristan Peter Reibel now faces two counts of voyeurism after the authorities claim he used hidden cameras to record his dogsitter and possibly other women without their knowledge. The revelation was made available after a probable cause affidavit was released.An investigation into Reibel was ignited in the summer of 2022 after a woman he hired to watch his dog contacted the police about suspicious activity in the house. The woman went on to claim that two alarm clocks had red dots in the middle. The victim also told officers that she noticed several hidden cameras set up in the home while she stayed there. The cameras were located in the living room and bedroom areas‚ and after she gained access to his iPad‚ she found nude photos of her had been saved on the device‚ according to a second report.The woman eventually confronted Reibel — who was allegedly on a trip to Los Angeles — about the cameras. He claimed that his deceased son was the only person who had access to the accounts and that the cameras were set up there for security.She later returned to gather payment for watching Reibel's dog and noticed that the iPad had been wiped of all digital data‚ including the nude photos.The authorities in Fishers‚ Indiana‚ ultimately executed a search warrant of Reibel's home. They gathered boxes with iPads‚ cameras‚ and cell phones packed inside. Officers said that discovered “multiple files over a half an hour long which were saved with different female’s first names."The Kansas City Star reported that one woman‚ who identified herself as Reibel's "life coach‚" told the police that Reibel admitted to recording “16 women who he had sexual relations with‚ along with 5 individuals who had watched his dogs."The report stated that it is not clear from court records why the charges were only recently filed since the crimes were committed in 2022.
