Best Druid Build for AOZ in Diablo 4

If you love bears despite their violent and deadly potential‚ then you will love this build. Here is the best Druid build for Abattoir of Zir in Diablo 4. Diablo 4: Best Druid Build for Abattoir of Zir Abattoir of Zir is the way Blizzard communicates to Diablo 4 players that even defeating Duriel only classifies as child’s play. Well‚ maybe so‚ but at least there are many character builds that will be able to challenge this dungeon and even stand above it and survive. Now‚ those are big words since the Abattoir of Zir is extremely difficult both in its requirements and in its design itself. Well‚ nothing like a Werebear Druid can’t handle with their own hands. Or paws. Anyway‚ moving on! The best Druid build for the Abattoir of Zir event is the Pulverize Werebear Druid build. Just like the other class builds‚ this is a common build that has been modified to increase its damage output as well as its defensive capabilities due to the difficulty of the ev...

Hunter Biden’s Indictment on Tax Charges Will Make It Harder for President Biden to Dodge Questions‚ Legal Experts Say

Hunter Biden’s indictment in California on tax charges turns up the heat on President Joe Biden‚ making it harder for him to dodge questions about “lies” he told the public‚ legal experts said Thursday night. A federal grand jury in California indicted Hunter Biden Thursday on nine charges stemming from his alleged failure to pay more than $1 million in taxes between 2016 and 2019. While legal experts noted the indictment could shield Hunter Biden from his coming congressional deposition‚ multiple also said it will force Joe Biden to account for his repeated denials of the allegations contained in the indictment. “If the facts in the indictment are proven‚ and based on Hunter’s previous abortive plea deal I believe they can be and will be‚ this indictment is further proof (as if we needed more) that Joe Biden lied repeatedly to the American people during the 2020 election‚” Will Scharf‚ a former federal prosecutor and current Missouri attorney general candidate‚ said Thursday night. “My son has not made money in terms of this thing about‚ what are you talking about‚ China‚” Biden said during the presidential debate in October 2020. The indictment‚ however‚ lays out more than $7 million the younger Biden made from business dealings with entities in Ukraine‚ Romania‚ and China. George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley also said the indictment makes it “clear that the president has lied.” “The fact is that this is a circle that is getting tighter around the president‚” Turley told Fox News host Sean Hannity Thursday night. The younger Biden is scheduled for a Dec. 13 deposition‚ which Republican Reps. James Comer of Kentucky and Jim Jordan of Ohio threatened to hold him in contempt of Congress over if he did not present himself. Turley said the indictment could mean this deposition is “effectively scuttled‚” though it may make it harder for Joe Biden to avoid questions. “Hunter may be able to use this to plead the fifth‚ to refuse to answer questions‚” Turley said on Fox News. “But the second event is the expected vote on the impeachment inquiry. This indictment might make it easier for Hunter not to speak‚ but it may make it more difficult for President Biden to avoid that inquiry.” The new 50+ page Hunter Biden indictment is stunning. Anybody not caught up on the evidence will be if they read it in full. None of this would have happened without the brave IRS whistleblowers‚ Judge Noreika &; dogged House investigators @DailyCaller https://t.co/EchOb0eZlJ pic.twitter.com/xCvlt5JnNB— James Lynch (@jameslynch32) December 8‚ 2023 Former United States Attorney Brett Tolman argued Thursday night that the indictment was timed to interfere with Hunter Biden’s deposition‚ as they could have brought the charges “much earlier.” “He’s going to plead the Fifth because he now has a criminal charge in California‚” Tolman told Fox News host Jesse Watters in reference to Hunter Biden’s deposition. “This is an effort to also protect Joe Biden‚” he continued. “The heat is increasing. The scope of his involvement is increasing. The evidence is coming forward that he had more participation and contact with Hunter Biden’s funders.” The indictment states the younger Biden spent money on “drugs‚ escorts and girlfriends‚ luxury hotels and rental properties‚ exotic cars‚ clothing‚ and other items of a personal nature‚ in short‚ everything but his taxes.” “Joe Biden needs to answer to the American people for his lies‚” Scharf said. “They implicate him in criminal conspiracies abroad involving the shadiest of foreign actors‚ and cut to the heart of his fitness for office.” Have an opinion about this article? Alarms Are Raised Over California Law Enforcing “Media Literacy” in Schools

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties‚ subscribe to Reclaim The Net. There’s gathering contention over a newly-introduced California law that appears to be timed with the kick-off of presidential campaigns. The law‚ Assembly Bill 873‚ is touted by its supporters as a tool to help students differentiate between accurate‚ impartial information and opinionated “misinformation.” However‚ critics see it as yet another ploy by the state to undermine and mute non-mainstream media channels in the minds of young children. Santa Clara University ed-tech professor‚ Pedro Hernandez-Ramos‚ voiced his views on the topic‚ saying‚ as reported by the Washington Times. “Legislation became necessary at the state level when the federal government didn’t take action.” He further accuses President Trump of manipulating information to serve his own interests and causing harm to others. In contrast‚ Williamson M. Evers‚ an education policy expert at the libertarian Independent Institute in Oakland‚ observed that the push for control over disseminated information is not limited to one political side. As a former assistant secretary of education in the George W. Bush administration‚ he argues that misinformation has historically stemmed from all political spectrums‚ including leftist‚ rightist‚ and centrists. He voices concern that too many educators hold the incorrect presumption that misinformation is exclusively right-wing. “Media literacy is a term the left uses as a euphemism for silencing conservative voices‚” said Dan Schneider‚ a lawyer at the Media Research Center to the WT. “The schools that adopt it are told that Ted Cruz’s podcast is unreliable but Al Franken’s podcast is reliable.” The law‚ signed by Governor Gavin Newsom on October 13‚ will take effect on January 1‚ 2024. Defining media literacy as teaching “skills necessary to safely‚ responsibly‚ and critically consume and use social media and other forms of media‚” the law requires the California Department of Education to mandatorily interpolate media literacy lessons into all K-12 curriculum subjects. The law also stresses ethical standards in digital journalism and promotes responsible media content creation by students. The legislation emphasizes that online misinformation can pose significant risks by disturbing international peace‚ interfering with democratic decisions‚ and posing threats to public health. It was written and introduced by Menlo Park Rep. Marc Berman‚ a Democrat representing the San Francisco region. 15 Quotes by Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela‚ a monumental figure in the fight against apartheid and a global symbol of resilience‚ courage‚ and reconciliation‚ left a lasting mark on the world stage. Born on 18 July 1918‚ in Mvezo‚ South Africa‚ his life was marked by unwavering determination‚ sacrifice‚ and an unyielding commitment to justice and equality. After witnessing the racial injustices prevalent in South Africa‚ Mandela’s activism against apartheid led to his involvement with the African National Congress (ANC)‚ leading numerous non-violent protests. However‚ the Sharpeville Massacre of 21 March 1960 promoted Mandela to shift towards armed resistance through Umkhonto we Sizwe‚ the ANC’s armed wing. Arrested in 1962‚ Mandela spent 27 years behind bars (18 of which were spent at Robben Island Prison)‚ but used his imprisonment as a platform to emerge as a global symbol‚ championing the anti-apartheid cause. Mandela’s 1990 release heralded a new era‚ leading negotiations that ended apartheid‚ culminating in South Africa’s first democratic elections in 1994‚ where he became the nation’s first black president. His presidency prioritised reconciliation and forgiveness‚ demonstrated in the establishment of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) that addressed apartheid’s atrocities. His efforts earned global recognition‚ including the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize‚ shared with his predecessor F.W. de Klerk. After retiring from politics‚ Mandela remained dedicated to humanitarian causes like HIV/AIDS awareness and children’s rights. Nelson Mandela’s legacy embodies perseverance‚ forgiveness‚ and unwavering commitment to justice. His life serves as an inspiring and enduring testament to the power of resilience‚ reconciliation‚ and the pursuit of freedom. December 2023 marks a decade since Mandela’s death‚ yet his inspirational actions and words live on. Here are 15 of his poignant quotes: “I like friends who have independent minds because they tend to make you see problems from all angles.” (From his unpublished autobiographical manuscript written in prison‚ 1975)   “Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies.” (Interview with Ted Koppel of ABC News on ‘Nightline’‚ 1990)   “Do not judge me by my successes‚ judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.” (‘Mandela’ documentary‚ 1994) Nelson Mandela and his wife‚ Winnie‚ raise clenched fists as they walk hand-in-hand upon his release from prison in Cape Town‚ South Africa‚ 11 February 1990Image Credit: Alamy / Associated Press / Greg English “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear‚ but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid‚ but he who conquers that fear.” (‘Mandela’ documentary‚ 1994) “There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.” (‘Long Walk to Freedom’ by Nelson Mandela‚ 1994)   “I am fundamentally an optimist. Part of being optimistic is keeping one’s head pointed toward the sun‚ one’s feet moving forward. There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was sorely tested‚ but I would not and could not give myself up to despair. That way lays defeat and death.” (‘Long Walk to Freedom’ by Nelson Mandela‚ 1994)   “No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin‚ or his background‚ or his religion. People must learn to hate‚ and if they can learn to hate‚ they can be taught to love‚ for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” (‘Long Walk to Freedom’ by Nelson Mandela‚ 1994) President Nelson Mandela of South Africa‚ 14 July 1994Image Credit: Alamy / David Reed Archive “Lead from the back – and let others believe they are in front.” (‘Long Walk to Freedom’ by Nelson Mandela‚ 1994)   “It is in the character of growth that we should learn from both pleasant and unpleasant experiences.” (Foreign Correspondent’s Association’s annual dinner‚ Johannesburg‚ South Africa‚ 21 November 1997)   “It always seems impossible‚ until it is done.” (2001 speech delivered by Nelson Mandela)   “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” (2003 speech delivered to the Nelson Mandela Foundation) Nelson Mandela during a meeting with Britain’s then Prime Minister Gordon Brown‚ at a hotel in central London‚ 24 June 2008. Instead‚ we as a people chose the path of negotiation‚ compromise and peaceful settlement. Instead of hatred and revenge we chose reconciliation and nation-building.” (From Mandela’s ‘Conversations With Myself’ book‚ 2010)   “There can be no greater gift than that of giving one’s time and energy to helping others without expecting anything in return.”   “May your choices reflect your hopes‚ not your fears.” (Speech by Mandela in South Africa)

8‚000-Year-Old Fortress Discovered In Siberia Is World's Oldest

Ancient hunter-gatherers in Siberia’s Lower Ob’ region may have built the world’s very first fortress on the banks of a river. Whether these prehistoric communities constructed their fort for protection or to stake a claim to premier fishing territory is unclear‚ although radiocarbon dating conducted at the site reveals that it was erected an incredible 8‚000 years ago.Researchers visited the fortified settlement of Amnya‚ which sits on a sandy spit above a marshy river floodplain and is recognized as the northernmost Stone Age fort in Eurasia. Recent excavations at the site have revealed the existence of ten “house pits”‚ surrounded by a series of banks and ditches that enclose the tip of the promontory.Previous work carried out between 1987 and 2000 had already identified the remains of wooden palisades‚ indicating that the site was probably surrounded by a defensive wall. A second set of ten house pits were also discovered just outside the fortress‚ suggesting a hierarchical structure involving a fortified inner area and an unprotected outer section.Radiocarbon dating estimates obtained from one of the palisades and charcoal found in a ditch indicate that the fortress was initially constructed in the final century of the seventh millennium BCE. However‚ stratigraphic evidence from the house pits suggests that the site was repeatedly burned to the ground‚ hinting at the existence of violent conflict in the region 8‚000 years ago."Through detailed archaeological examinations at Amnya‚ we collected samples for radiocarbon dating‚ confirming the prehistoric age of the site and establishing it as the world's oldest-known fort‚” explained study author Tanja Schreiber in a statement. “Our new palaeobotanical and stratigraphical examinations reveal that inhabitants of Western Siberia led a sophisticated lifestyle based on the abundant resources of the taiga environment."In their write-up‚ the authors state that the Amnya fort was built “many centuries before comparable enclosures first appeared in Europe‚” adding that while some ancient hunter-gatherer groups in other parts of the world did construct defenses‚ “the very early onset of this phenomenon in inland western Siberia is unparalleled.”One of the house pits (top) and an outer defensive line (bottom) at the Amnya site.Image credit: E. Dubovtseva/Piezonka et al‚ Antiquity 2023 (CC BY 4.0)The researchers’ findings challenge the long-held assumption that permanent settlements and monumental architecture only emerged after the adoption of agriculture and subsequent development of complex societies. However‚ it’s still unclear what need a hunter-gatherer community would have for such a stronghold. One theory posited by the study authors is that territoriality increased among forager groups during a global cooling event that began around 8‚200 years ago and lasted for around two millennia. Alternatively‚ the advent of pottery during this period may have enabled these prehistoric communities to start stockpiling high-calorie foods like fish oil‚ which means the fort may have been constructed as a place to safely store these valuable resources. Finally‚ the study authors speculate that the fortress might have been built in response to an increase in inter-group conflict as immigrants from the south made their way into northern Siberia. Whether the keep was the work of the local hunter-gatherers or the newcomers is‚ however‚ impossible to say.Regardless of which side raised the fort‚ though‚ the very need for such a blockhouse represents a major challenge to the widely-held idea that competition and violence were largely absent in the pre-agricultural world. The study is published in the journal Antiquity.

What Do Meteors’ Colors Tell Us?

What Do Meteors’ Colors Tell Us?

Seeing a meteor is always an exciting experience‚ partly because each one is different. Faint “shooting stars” seldom have an identifiable shade – but seeing a deeply colored flash adds something extra to the good fortune of seeing a meteor that can compete with the brightest stars. If you are lucky enough to experience a meteor shower (or better still‚ a storm) the contrasting colors can take things to an extra level. Meanwhile‚ for researchers‚ the color can indicate the chemistry of the dust that made the event‚ which can be significant when we know its origins.Meteors are caused by dust particles‚ and sometimes something larger‚ burning up in the Earth’s atmosphere. The extreme speeds with which they hit create a lot of friction‚ which heats the incoming object to the point where it releases light that seems out of all proportion to the tiny amount of material involved. If you toss a chemical sample in a fire (please use proper safety precautions‚ and don’t blame us for the consequences if you don’t) the burst of light will have a distinctive color. This is the basis of the flame test‚ invented by Robert Bunsen‚ of Bunsen burner fame. Electrons supplied with enough energy jump to a higher state. When they drop back‚ they release light at a wavelength specific to that element‚ which we see as a specific color. Detection of that wavelength can reveal an element’s presence in any sufficiently hot environment‚ be it a laboratory flame‚ a star‚ or a meteor. The same process allows us to make fireworks in many colors. The particles that produce meteors are seldom pure‚ but if one element dominates‚ it can produce a distinct shade.Meteorites are just meteors that were large enough to make it to the ground without burning up entirely. The most common elements in meteorites are silicon‚ oxygen‚ and iron.Their smaller counterparts have similar composition‚ with the iron giving many a yellow glow. Sodium‚ which produces an orange-yellow glow that can be hard to distinguish from iron unless it is bright or long‚ also sometimes contributes. The colors don’t always match those commonly reported from flame tests‚ however. For example‚ calcium in a Bunsen burner gives an orange-red light. However‚ according to NASA‚ the presence of calcium in a meteor is signaled by a violet tinge. The difference is because the calcium in meteors is ionized Ca+. Similarly‚ magnesium in a meteor creates a blue-green shade‚ different from the white seen when magnesium metal burns. In a lab‚ iron can produce a gold color when it is Fe2+ or be orange-brown when Fe3+. The orange-yellow association with iron indicates which is more common in space. Not all the colors come from the doomed space dust‚ however. The friction heats the air around the meteor as well as the object itself. The atmosphere is mostly nitrogen and oxygen‚ both of which glow red when heated. Since the atmosphere doesn’t change much‚ we might expect all meteors to have a predominantly red shade‚ but that is not the case. In faster meteors‚ the color produced by the heated space dust tends to dominate‚ whereas when the meteor is slower we’re more likely to see the atmospheric red. The meteor’s velocity‚ in turn‚ depends on the direction it was previously traveling relative to the Earth. An object whose orbit causes a head-on collision will produce a much faster flash than one that is traveling in the same general direction as the planet‚ only to be overtaken.Brighter meteors‚ known as fireballs‚ often leave a glow behind them. Initially‚ this is usually green‚ caused by neutral oxygen atoms from the air‚ not the incoming object. Subsequently‚ however‚ an afterglow may be seen that has the color of the main metals left behind after the meteors’ passage. Some bright meteors can produce persistent trains‚ which can last up to 30 minutes in extreme cases. These are created by interactions of sodium or iron oxide from the meteor with oxygen and ozone in the air.If a random meteor has a particular shade‚ it might be interesting to an observer to know what it was rich in‚ but the scientific value is small. However‚ during a meteor shower‚ almost all the meteors apparently coming from the right area of the sky are the products of a passing comet. In most cases‚ we have managed to match the shower to the comet – for example‚ October’s Orionids are from Halley’s Comet. The Geminids‚ for example‚ are known as not only one of the brighter meteor showers of the year‚ but having a distinctly greenish-blue color‚ as a result of their nickel and magnesium content.Consequently‚ by studying the colors of a selection of meteors from the same shower‚ we can learn about the chemistry of the comet without needing to send a spacecraft. All “explainer” articles are confirmed by fact checkers to be correct at time of publishing. Honey-Hunting Birds And Humans Work Together And Know Each Other’s Calls

While working on group projects might be the bane of every college student's life‚ new research has shown that sometimes‚ groups can work together successfully. Greater honeyguides (Indicator indicator)‚ a small species of African bird‚ are known to guide both honey badgers and humans to beehives. By studying these human-bird interactions‚ researchers have shown that the birds respond more readily to calls from their local honey-hunting humans than they do to the calls of honey-hunters from other regions. This honeybird to honey-hunter relationship is mutually beneficial‚ with both the humans and the birds getting a treat out of it. While people harvest the honey‚ the birds can enjoy the wax and beetle larvae. The honeyguides are able to remember the locations of the beehives and lead the people to the site. This new study builds on previous work carried out by the same team.“Honeyguides seem to know the landscape intimately‚ gathering knowledge about the location of bee nests‚ which they then share with people‚ " said Claire Spottiswood‚ co-author of the new paper in a statement. “People are eager for the bird’s help.”Not only do the birds have excellent memories‚ but they also respond to the calls of the people seeking honey. Honey hunters from the Yao people of Mozambique have a call that consists of a trill followed by a grunt when following the birds. The Hadza in Tanzania use a whistle instead‚ while different groups across Africa use different calls to achieve the same outcome. The calls are passed down from elders in the communities and the groups report that they do not change the calls‚ as they will not find as much honey with the birds if they do.                 The experiment looked to see if this was true. The team played three calls to the honeyguides in two locations: one was the familiar call of the local honey hunters‚ the second was a honey hunter's call from a different group and the final sound was a honey hunter just calling his name as a control. In the Tanzania location‚ there was over a three times greater probability of a honeyguide bird cooperating if it heard the local honey hunter call than either the foreign call or the control noise. In Mozambique‚ the honeyguides were nearly two times more likely to cooperate if they heard their local call rather than the other two sounds. “Our study demonstrates the bird’s ability to learn distinct vocal signals that are traditionally used by different honey-hunting communities‚ expanding possibilities for mutually beneficial cooperation with people‚” said co-author Brian Wood. Given that people learn the calls from the elders of their communities‚ the team thinks that the relationship between the honeyguides and the honey hunters will remain stable over time. “The benefits of the honey-hunter-honeyguide relationship should produce long-lasting‚ ‘sticky’ traditions‚” Wood concluded. The study is published in Science.

Transgender Girl ‘Wins’ Irish Dance Competition‚ and Parents are PISSED

Transgender Girl ‘Wins’ Irish Dance Competition‚ and Parents are PISSED

This seems like just a few too many things bouncing around‚ if you ask me. A biological boy is headed to the Irish Dancing World Championships after he won the Southern Region Oireachtas preliminary competition in Dallas‚ Texas - and according to an exclusive from The Daily Signal‚ parents of actual female competitors are “frustrated and outraged.”  And rightfully so.  Now‚ there are Irish dancing competitions for boys. But the trans child‚ whose name The Daily Signal withheld because of his age‚ wanted to dance in the girls' competitions for better results. In April of 2023‚ he placed 11th in the world in the Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha (CLRG) World Championships‚ but 11th wasn’t good enough for him. According to The Daily Signal‚ “The boy’s social media includes the preferred pronouns 'she/her' and pictures of the child at Irish dancing competitions depict him wearing the typical dance attire for girls‚ including dresses‚ makeup‚ and wigs.” Thanks all thanks to a move made back in June of 2022‚ when Southern Regional Director PJ McCafferty insisted that the Annual Convention of the Irish Dance Teachers’ Association of North America (IDTANA) adopt an “inclusivity statement‚" which ensured that competitions wouldn’t discriminate based on "gender identity." In October 2023‚ McCafferty announced that “At the Southern Region Qualifying Oireachtas‚ dancers may compete in the competition appropriate for the gender they identify as in their everyday life‚ without regard for their gender at birth‚” according to The Daily Signal.  While I understand that everyone deserves respect‚ I used to dance competitively myself. And I know‚ like everyone should‚ that there are significant advantages for men over women in an art of this kind.  Rowena Ryan‚ a former Irish dance instructor‚ noticed those differences too when she spoke with The Daily Signal. “When you’re judging competitions between girls and boys‚ things that you look for are different in a male dancer compared to a female dancer‚” she said. “So I just don’t think it’s fair to have the two competing against another because they are judged on different criteria.” Maggie McKneely‚ an adult competitor who competed at the Southern Region Oireachetas‚ told The Daily Signal‚ “Most sports‚ men and women tend to do the same basic activity‚ just at very different skill levels‚ but Irish dance is highly gendered. The two sexes wear different shoes‚ they wear different clothes‚ they actually have completely different dance styles. They’re really not interchangeable in any way.” She also added that she thinks allowing boys to compete in girls' competitions is “ridiculous‚” saying‚ “It’s not fair to the kids. It’s certainly not fair to the girls who have to compete against the boy. And it totally undermines what makes Irish dance what it is‚ the highly gendered aspect of it is a defining feature.” Parents of girls who competed at the competition with the transgender child were furious over his involvement and subsequent win.  Related: Takes Balls: Meet the 50-Year-Old Trans Dude Swimming In Teen Girls' Competitions “I never thought I was going to have to deal with this. And my heart breaks for my daughter and the other girls that are having to deal with this. They are too young to have to deal with topics that are going on in society‚ that are adult topics‚ that they don’t quite comprehend yet‚” one parent told The Daily Signal‚ calling the whole thing “unfair." Others insisted the move was “not OK‚" with one saying‚ “The feeling is one of fundamental unfairness‚ and then obviously the frustration and resentment that goes along with that.” Ultimately‚ it is incredibly unfair for boys to be in girls' sports and competitions where they have an advantage‚ and dance is no exception. I feel for those girls who had to compete and “lose” to the transgender child‚ and I also feel for the transgender child who is being fed lies that lead him to believe that living a delusion is the best way to win‚ rather than hard work.  Follow us on Twitter/X: The Brittany Hughes Show: Transgenders have replace women as the Left's new favorite victims!
