Horror when Swedish villa family is run out of immigrant gangs

Domestic. A villa idyll in northern Uppland turned into a nightmare when a masked immigrant league broke in. The family was tied, beaten and threatened to life - but saved at the last moment by the man's father and brother who scared the offenders. In connection with the escape, one of the robbers was hit by a shot.


Four men – immigrants from Africa, the Arab world and Asia – are sentenced to six years in prison each after the brutal robbery in Tobo outside Tierp last autumn.

Late in the evening, the masked league hit the family's residence. They took in armed with axe, knife and a gun attack.

Indoors, the family members were tied with cable ties and received silver tape over their mouths.

For a long time they were held solid while they were shot for punches and kicks. At the same time, death threats were directed at them and two people were subjected to so-called sham executions.

The perpetrators pressured the victims to transfer cryptocurrency worth approximately SEK 2.5 million.

"Without my brother and dad, I wouldn't have lived"
After about an hour and a half, one of the victims managed to get an alarm via a game chat. Shortly thereafter, relatives showed up at the house.

When the brother and father came up and called outside the house, the robbers fled from the place.

In connection with the incident, a shot was fired and one of the offenders was hit superficially in the shoulder.

"The perpetrators panic and let up guns and jump out of the windows. I pulled out my weapon and searched with a lamp. Dad has someone running. They pointed out where some people were running. We were just trying to make sure they weren't going to shoot anyone," the man later said in police interrogation.

“Without my brother and father, I wouldn’t have lived,” he said.

SVT News Uppsala has published a video showing the dramatic intervention.

An extensive police operation began. One suspect was arrested later that night and more could be linked to the robbery, including through findings in an abandoned car.

A total of five people are suspected of taking part in the robbery. One of them is still on the loose and is believed to have left the country.

In addition to the four convicted of aggravated robbery, two more men and a woman are convicted of handling the money afterwards.
