Do not expect any of the names floating around in regard to former President Donald Trump’s search for a running mate to make the final cut‚ according to a GOP senator. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) spoke to POLITICO about Trump’s search for a vice president to serve in a second term‚ which has drawn a great deal of speculation in the run-up to the November election after two campaigns with Mike Pence as his running mate. “He’ll ask you about people‚” Tuberville said‚ adding‚ “All I can tell you is‚ if you’re hearing any names‚ it ain’t going to be them. It’s all propaganda.” Among those said to be in consideration include Sens. Tim Scott (R-SC)‚ Marco Rubio (R-FL)‚ Katie Britt (R-AL)‚ and J.D. Vance (R-OH); South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem; and Reps. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Byron Donalds (R-FL).
