Big Tech is using AI and media ratings firms as new ways to censor conservative voices‚ but the fight to expose the bias and censorship is underway. On the Feb. 20 edition of The Wayne DuPree Show‚ MRC Free Speech America Vice President Dan Schneider raised the alarm that  Big Tech is using its power and influence to remove media critical of the Biden administration from the public’s view. Schneider said that platforms such as Google‚ Meta and ChatGPT “are trying to radicalize the whole world”  in the “worst possible ways” with their censorship tactics. How Ad Fontes and NewsGuard Show Leftist Bias in Their Ratings To illustrate this important point‚ Schneider used the example of host Wayne DuPree’s eponymous show.” Schneider explained that the leftist media takes issue with DuPree spreading a conservative message: “Once [Big Tech companies] understand that Wayne is an effective communicator‚ they’re going to try to take him out.” To do this‚ Schneider explained‚ Big Tech companies “use these ratings firms like NewsGuard and Ad Fontes to tell companies‚ ‘Don’t advertise on Wayne’s show because we’ve got to drive him out of business’” Schneider pointed out that this is happening for multiple right-leaning media outlets‚ including The Daily Wire‚ The Daily Signal and MRC’s flagship news site NewsBusters. Previous MRC Free Speech America studies have exposed both NewsGuard’s and Ad Fontes’s ratings as being disproportionately favorable for left-wing media outlets.  But it gets worse. Schneider exposed the way that AI models such as ChatGPT are getting in on the censorship. Schneider explained that if one were to use ChatGPT as a gauge for the reliability of news sources‚ they would favor leftist outlets such as The Washington Post‚ NPR and PBS‚ and leave out right-leaning media. This is meant to prevent readers from visiting non-legacy media sites and to scare companies from placing advertising on those sites‚ as previously reported on NewsBusters. The liberal website Axios.com is quickly rising to the top of the Biden hate list. They’ve published a string of what Democrat insiders call “bedwetting” stories about Biden’s mental failings. The latest was headlined Biden's cheat sheets at fundraisers worry donors. Hans Nichols noted that other presidents have relied on notes or a Teleprompter for public events.  But "President Biden has been using notecards in closed-door fundraisers‚ calling on pre-screened donors and then consulting his notes to provide detailed answers‚ according to people familiar with the routine." Only two or three questions are allowed. The problem with note cards and pre-screened donors? "The staged Q&;A sessions have left some donors wondering whether Biden can withstand the rigors of a presidential campaign‚ let alone potential debates with former President Trump‚ 77." Nichols added Biden has some of his most notable unscripted moments at late-night events with donors. On Wednesday‚ during a three-day West Coast swing‚ he called Russian president Vladimir Putin "a crazy SOB." In June‚ he referred to Chinese President Xi Jinping as a "dictator" at a California fundraiser. After the president's opening comments at fundraisers‚ reporters are ushered out of the venue before the donors ask their pre-screen questions. Precautions are taken after other precautions. Why would anyone worry Biden's not up to it?  Charles C.W. Cellphone video captured the beating and robbery of an elderly woman by a group of teenagers in Texas. Margaret Schultz told KENS-TV that she was walking to an H-E-B grocery store when she was attacked by a group of teenagers on Valentine's Day. The video shows the thugs surrounding the 78-year-old and then throwing her to the ground. “They were in the corner and they just stood up and they got me from here and yanked me down. That scared me because I didn’t know what was going on‚” she said. The attack happened at about 4:30 p.m. on West Cesar Chavez Boulevard according to San Antonio police. Schultz said she was going to the store to buy dog food. She lives with her sister in a home near the location of the attack. “I’ve been walking for a long time. I go to H-E-B. I go to Humana‚” she said. “I know how to drive but I don’t have a car. I wish I had a car.” Someone saw the attack and called the police. Schultz said that they stole an envelope with $900 inside from her. Police are asking for help from the public in order to identify the suspects in the attack. “They could have killed me‚” said Shultz. She said that the incident would not prevent her from continuing to walk in the area. She also had a final message for the teens who attacked her. “I’m hurting and I’m still hurting right now‚” Schultz said. “If you want something the people can give them something. A balloon that was intercepted above Utah does not pose a national security threat‚ the North American Aerospace Defense Command indicated‚ according to Fox News Digital."In close coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)‚ North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) detected a small balloon at an altitude varying between 43‚000-45‚000 ft‚" NORAD indicated‚ according to the outlet. "The balloon was intercepted by NORAD fighters over Utah‚ who determined it was not maneuverable and did not present a threat to national security. NORAD will continue to track and monitor the balloon. The FAA also determined the balloon posed no hazard to flight safety. NORAD remains in close coordination with the FAA to ensure flight safety."CBS News reported that a U.S. official told the outlet that it was anticipated that the balloon would be above Georgia by Friday night."Shoot it down. A North Carolina high school's controversial classroom demonstration garnered so much public outcry that the district ordered it to be taken down and will have teachers retrained. The door decorations at West Charlotte High School were a part of black history month and showed how segregation was implemented at a Sears Department Store from 1930. Rather than merely criticizing segregation‚ however‚ the signs were actually meant to point to efforts by the department store to allow blacks and whites to shop together. "The purpose of the door was to show that Sears‚ which is a department store‚ was one of the first stores that allowed blacks to shop with white people‚" said Laquinta Caldwell‚ the daughter of the teacher‚ to NBC News. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said the signs were up only for a few hours on Feb. 14. The district also said that teachers will be retrained on appropriate lessons of the history curriculum. “The school district is required to provide social studies and history lessons to all our students in an age-appropriate manner. Teachers at West Charlotte High School decorated doors that displayed inappropriate content‚” read a statement from the district. “The activity is not aligned to state standards or with CMS curriculum and approved lesson plans.” The district also pointed out other door decorations that were appropriate‚ including those involving "Motown legends" and "women of excellence." One decoration read‚ “Rosa sat so Martin could walk so Obama and Harris could run.” While some people on social media were definitely offended by the decoration‚ others said it was a good lesson for children. “This brought the past front and center in a way many of us today have never experienced firsthand‚” said one commenter on Facebook. “This was the reality not too long ago. That’s the lesson right there.” “I think these kinds of things make this history more real so conversations can be had and perspectives gained. I think it’s great‚" read another commenter. Georgia police have arrested a non-citizen immigrant suspected in the murder of a nursing student‚ and he had previously been released over a "lack of detention space‚" according to one report. 22-year-old Laken Riley was a student at Augusta University College of Nursing and went out for a jog on Thursday but didn't return home. Her roommate called police to report her missing. At about 12:30‚ police found her body beaten to death on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens and later confirmed that she had died of blunt force trauma. On Friday‚ University of Georgia Police Department Chief Jeff Clark told reporters at a media briefing that they had arrested 26-year-old Jose Antonio Ibarra in the murder. "He did not know her at all‚" said Clark. "I think this was a crime of opportunity." Clark said that Ibarra is not a U.S. citizen and appears to be an immigrant from Venezuela. The man reportedly lived in an apartment building near the location where the woman's body was found.He went on to say that police used surveillance video and physical evidence in order to identify Ibarra as a suspect. They also conducted a search warrant at his home. NewsNation reported that multiple sources from the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that Ibarra was from Venezuela and that he had been released due to lack of detention space. Clark said that Ibarra was charged with malice murder‚ felony murder‚ aggravated battery‚ aggravated assault‚ false imprisonment‚ kidnapping‚ hindering a 911 call and concealing the death of another. On the eve of the South Carolina Republican presidential primary‚ where former President Donald Trump is expected to trounce former Gov. Nikki Haley‚ California Gov. Gavin Newsom‚ who has been backing President Joe Biden's re-election bid‚ called former South Carolina Gov.
