FOREIGN. In an unusually bloodthirsty outburst, US Senator Lindsey Graham calls for razing Gaza to the ground.

- We are in a religious war, says Lindsey Graham in an interview with Fox News about the situation in Israel.

The 68-year-old politician continues:

- Do whatever the hell you have to do to defend yourself. Level the place with the ground.

By "the place" he is apparently referring to the Gaza Strip, which is usually described as a kind of outdoor prison for two million Palestinians.


Lindsey Graham is not the only American politician who has suddenly gathered great enthusiasm and murderous lust for a cause.

Nikki Haley, former UN ambassador and now Republican presidential candidate, expressed herself in the following way - also on Fox News:

- This is sick, and we must treat sick people the way they deserve to be treated - and wipe them out.

Republican Senator Marco Rubio tweeted that "Hamas must be eradicated" and that "Israel must respond DISPROPORTIONATELY to this and to all future attacks by all enemies".
