Attorney calls jurors who wanted to acquit cop involved in raid on Breonna Taylor 'less-than-patriotic fellow Americans'

A federal jury deadlocked in the case against one of the former Louisville police officers who was involved in the deadly raid on Breonna Taylor's home several years ago. After the judge declared a mistrial‚ an attorney representing some of the victims took aim at the jurors who had voted to acquit‚ questioning their loyalty to America and the Constitution.Brett Hankison was one of seven Louisville Metro Police Department officers who showed up at Breonna Taylor's apartment shortly after midnight on March 13‚ 2020‚ to serve a drug-related search warrant to Taylor's ex-boyfriend Jamarcus Glover. Officers claimed to have identified themselves before breaking down the door‚ but Taylor's boyfriend at the time‚ Kenneth Walker III‚ allegedly did not hear the warning and fired at officers‚ believing them to be intruders.Walker's shot injured one of the officers‚ and the seven cops‚ including Hankison‚ returned fire. Hankison fired 10 rounds through a window‚ though none of his bullets struck a human being. Some of his shots did go through a wall that Taylor shared with the apartment next door. Inside that apartment were a man named Cody Etherton‚ a woman named Chelsey Napper‚ and an unnamed 3-year-old boy‚ court documents said.Six bullets fired from other officers' weapons struck and killed Taylor. Walker was not injured in the incident. Glover‚ the subject of the warrant‚ was not at the premises that night‚ and no drugs or drug paraphernalia were ever recovered from Taylor's residence.Hankison was fired from the department a few months after the shooting and was the only cop involved in the incident who was tried at the state level. State jurors took just three hours to acquit him of charges related to wanton endangerment. After that acquittal‚ federal prosecutors decided to charge Hankison with violating the civil rights of Taylor‚ Walker‚ and the neighbors by using "unconstitutionally excessive force."The federal trial against Hankison took three weeks and about two dozen witnesses before it was handed over to the jury‚ made up of one black man‚ five white men‚ and six white women. Jurors then deliberated for three days‚ during which time‚ they requested a copy of a court transcript‚ a request which Judge Rebecca Grady Jennings denied.Jurors then warned the judge that they were having difficulty reaching a unanimous verdict‚ so Judge Jennings issued an Allen charge in the hopes of compelling them to come to a consensus‚ but it did not work. At the end of the day on Thursday‚ Jennings declared a mistrial. Former LMPD officer Myles Cosgrove says Brett Hankison was 'reckless' during Breonna Taylor raid www.youtube.com Attorneys representing the victims quickly issued statements to the media that criticized either the makeup or opinions of the jurors. In her statement‚ Lonita Baker‚ who is representing the Taylor family‚ implied that there were too many white people on the jury: "The Western District is made up of more than just Louisville‚ and we recognize that‚ but hopefully on the next trial‚ the jury does reflect the diversity of this city and the Western District of Kentucky."Jeffery Sexton‚ who is representing Taylor's former neighbors‚ Etherton and Napper‚ went even farther‚ claiming that the jurors who wanted to acquit Hankison were "less-than-patriotic fellow Americans" who tried to "throw" the Constitution "in the trash can." "Some of those deadlocked jurors are heroes‚" Sexton said. "They stood up for the Constitution. They said‚ 'No!' when some of their less-than-patriotic fellow Americans on that jury wanted to wad it up and throw it in the trash can."While Sexton lamented that "there are no winners in a tie" and "there is no expiration date for the harm Hankison caused" Etherton and Napper‚ attorney Baker expressed optimism that Hankison might be convicted someday soon. "A mistrial is not an acquittal‚" she said. "And so we live another day to fight for justice for Breonna."Baker also indicated she has good reason to hope. "As it stands right now‚ the assistant U.S. attorneys from the Department of Justice did indicate that it is their intention to retry Brett Hankison in this case‚" Baker said.Judge Jennings has scheduled a conference date for December 13.Like Blaze News? 'Bad news for Hunter Biden': Legal expert warns special counsel's newest action is a harbinger for the first son

Special counsel David Weiss' investigation into Hunter Biden's overseas business dealings is heating up.Prosecutors have convened a grand jury in Los Angeles to get documents and witness testimony about the first son's business dealings as they investigate alleged tax crimes‚ CNN reported on Thursday. The development indicates that a second indictment may be forthcoming. From CNN:James Biden‚ President Joe Biden’s brother and a one-time business associate of Hunter‚ is among the individuals who have received a subpoena in recent weeks‚ according to two sources close to the investigation. The probe appears to be focused on Hunter Biden’s alleged failure to pay taxes by IRS payment deadlines‚ issues that were expected to be resolved by a plea deal that fell apart earlier this year. It is unclear if any witnesses have appeared in person yet or if investigators are looking at anything beyond tax matters. After a sweetheart plea deal for Hunter fell apart‚ a federal court granted Weiss' motion to dismiss the initial charges filed against the first son. At the time‚ Weiss hinted that he planned to refile charges in other venues — widely expected to be the Central District of California and Washington‚ D.C. — where Biden-appointed U.S. attorneys refused to cooperate with Weiss last year. This news indicates that Weiss was serious about his intention to prosecute the first son.In September‚ Weiss secured an indictment against Hunter on felony firearm charges. Investigators are additionally investigating potential violations of the Foreign Agent Registration Act because Hunter allegedly did not register as a "foreign agent" when he worked for Ukrainian and Chinese businesses. What does this mean for Hunter?Elie Honig‚ a former federal prosecutor‚ explained on CNN why the development is "bad news" for Hunter."It's bad news for Hunter Biden any way you slice this‚" Honig said."If we think about the potential tax charges here‚ it's important to keep in mind: When Hunter Biden went into court a few months ago with DOJ‚ they had a deal that he was going plead guilty to misdemeanor tax offenses‚ and they agreed — DOJ and Hunter Biden agreed — that he had failed to pay over $1 million in income taxes that he owed‚" he explained."So assuming‚ which I think is a fair assumption‚ that DOJ has evidence of that‚ that feels like the minimum charges he may face. It may get worse‚" Honig warned. "But it's important to understand the fact that there's a grand jury does not ensure that there will be an indictment‚ but it certainly does make it more likely. And that's a problem." Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

New trend shows Gen Z TikTok users APPLAUDING Osama bin Laden and JUSTIFYING 9/11 attacks

TikTok has been home to young people making complete fools of themselves since its inception — but it just got a whole lot worse. A new trend has emerged on the platform after some of its users discovered a letter written by Osama bin Laden after 9/11 in which he explains why the attacks were carried out. In the letter‚ bin Laden claims he attacked us because we attacked them first. He also makes clear how anti-Semitic he is‚ taking a moment in the letter to bring attention to “the devastating Jewish control of capital.” In the TikTok videos‚ users claim their views of America and the attacks on 9/11 have been completely changed. “I will never look at life the same; I will never look at this country the same‚” one TikTok user said. “I did want to mention in reading the letter I could only think of this tweet that I saw the other day: ‘Under settler colonialism any kind of resistance is branded as terrorist because the only acceptable violence is violence by the occupier‚’” another user said. Sara Gonzales is ready to end it all‚ and by that she means her show. “I just want to end it all and walk off set and just shut everything down and go home‚” she says‚ in complete shock after watching the TikTok videos. “Can you believe that heartfelt message from Osama bin Laden that couldn’t possibly have been propaganda? Right? He couldn’t possibly have been trying to brainwash anyone or manipulate any details or anything; when would a terrorist ever do that?” Gonzales says‚ mocking the TikTok users. “Then again‚ there are these young Americans who are just dumb enough to just eat it right up and be like ‘Wow‚ maybe we should have been on team Osama bin Laden after all‚’” she adds. In another video‚ a TikTok user shows herself cheering in reaction to the news in 2011 that Bin Laden had been killed. She then cuts to herself in 2023 sadly “reading his letter and knowing he was right.” “It’s hard to fathom that this is really what we’re living in in 2023‚” Gonzales says. Glenn: Are Israel‚ Ukraine‚ and China all connected?

Glenn: Are Israel‚ Ukraine‚ and China all connected?

If you war-game the current evolving scenarios abroad‚ the United States would lose in a war to China. However‚ Glenn Beck is trying to look at it through the lens of evil — and may have stumbled on what’s actually happening. “Hear me out: What if Russia and Iran had already been taken out? What if they had already been neutralized before we had to fight?” he asks‚ noting that asking this would usually have everyone looking “at you like you have lobsters growing out of your ears.” But Glenn believes that if the U.S. were smart enough‚ we wouldn’t have to fight Russia and Iran and instead could get proxies to take them out for us. We might even be able to avoid a three-front war with China. “All they need is a little push and a ton of weapons‚ just the right motivation‚” he says‚ adding “NATO can take out Russia‚ Israel can take out Iran. You just have to do it right.” In Glenn’s war-game scenario‚ all you’d have to do was say Ukraine is going to be a part of NATO in order to start the falling of these dominoes. “That’s been a red line forever. Everybody knows that. They’ll feel threatened‚ Putin invades Ukraine‚ NATO will come to the rescue with guns and money‚” Glenn says. Weirdly enough‚ NATO has already been open about its plans to eventually invite Ukraine into the alliance. And the Biden administration has freed up $6 billion for Iran. “Why don’t we just release all of the funds to Iran‚ so they have all of the money to plan an attack on Israel that is so large and so heinous that they’ll be forced to use their own military to take them out‚ which will then force Iran to join in and then Israel takes them out‚” Glenn says. “Maybe we could even convince China in the end if Russia and Iran fall‚ they have no real allies. Don’t take Taiwan‚” Glenn says.“We’re evil enough to do it‚ but I don’t believe it because I don’t think we’re smart enough.” Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling‚ thought-provoking analysis‚ and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos‚ subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.

Supermodel Kate Upton deletes photo of herself wearing $675 Balenciaga sweatshirt after backlash

Supermodel Kate Upton shared an image of herself wearing Balenciaga apparel‚ sparking backlash due to the company's controversial ad campaign from 2022 that was accused of sexualizing children. The three-time Sports Illustrated cover model posted an Instagram photo of herself wearing a maroon Balenciaga sweatshirt that simply stated "Authentic Jersey Apparel." The shirt has retailed for around $675 at Saks Fifth Avenue‚ OutKick reported. The caption read “Heard we’re going no-pants this season?”However‚ after a litany of disapproving comments from her followers‚ Upton has since removed the photo. Examples of comments on the Instagram post included‚ "Nope wrong company to get behind. Children exploitation! No thanks‚" and "As a mother‚ how could you support this brand?? Sick." Kate Upton gets absolutely destroyed for modeling a Balenciaga t-shirt a year after the clothing company's disgusting teddy bears in bondage kids' advertising campaign:

https://t.co/cYjAQAmV4j — (@) Balenciaga's 2022 ad campaign faced worldwide backlash after it shared ads featuring little girls wearing bondage-themed attire who were holding teddy bears outfitted with other fetish items. Some of the items included a padlock chain‚ a mesh shirt‚ and spiked bracelets. One of the ads also posed a young girl behind a table littered with empty champagne‚ beer‚ and wine glasses. One part of the ad contained an excerpt from the United States Supreme Court opinion on United States v. Williams‚ a 2008 case regarding the distribution of child pornography. "This is a new low for society and a not-so-new high for Satan‚" PragerU's Xaviaer DuRousseau wrote at the time. I’ve never been one to “cancel” but fashion brand Balenciaga needs to be shut down.

They used a CHILD in a BDSM themed photoshoot and have court documents discussing child p*rnography “visibly hidden” in the photos.

This is a new low for society and a not-so-new high for Satan. — (@) The 41-year-old designer behind the ads‚ Demna Gvasalia‚ issued a statement saying he made the "wrong artistic choice.""I want to personally apologize for the wrong artistic choice of concept for the gifting campaign with the kids and I take my responsibility‚" he wrote on Instagram. "It was inappropriate to have kids promote objects that had nothing to do with them."However‚ Demna then claimed that the idea for his extremely provocative ads was to "provoke a thought.""As much as I would sometimes like to provoke a thought through my work‚ I would NEVER have an intention to do that with such an awful subject as child abuse that I condemn. Period.""I need to learn from this‚ listen and engage with child protection organizations to know how I can contribute and help on this terrible subject‚" Demna added.Lastly‚ he apologized to "anyone offended by the visuals."Like Blaze News?
