The Girl Scouts of the USA is set to offer a four-part “racial equity” training series to volunteers and parents focusing on “internalized racism” and “white supremacy culture.” The 111 year-old organization created to serve America’s young women appears to have adopted Critical Race Theory‚ the divisive ideology that has taken root in America’s schools and corporations. The four part series‚ set to begin on December 13‚ will start with a virtual lesson titled “Foundations in Racial Equity‚” before launching into “Foundations in Internalized Racism” a month later on January 16. “Understanding and Decentering White Supremacy Culture” will take place on February 5‚ and will be followed by the final lesson‚ titled “Navigating Change‚ Power and Equitable Decision Making‚” in late March. “These D.E.I. Racial Equity workshops are designed for participants to engage in building a learning community‚ developing shared language and analysis around diversity‚ inclusion‚ and equity‚ deeply interrogating race‚” a description of the sessions obtained by The Daily Wire reads. “Participants also interrogate structural racism and its historical construction while reflecting greatly on the way it manifests in our individual experiences‚ organizational dynamics‚ and systemic outcomes.”   The lessons will be held through GS Learn‚ a training platform for Girl Scout volunteers and family members of Girl Scouts. The Girls Scouts did not respond to a request for comment on the trainings. The decision to offer “racial equity” lessons mired in the dogmas of Critical Race Theory comes after the Girl Scouts announced earlier this year that scouts could earn an “LGBTQ+ Pride Month Fun Patch” if they attended a pride parade‚ memorized a poem written by an author who identifies as LGBTQ‚ or “read about the Stonewall uprising in 1969 and its importance to the LGBTQ+ community‚” writing a poem of their own about the event. The Girl Scouts have also published an “anti-racism guide” inspired by Critical Race Theory that claims color-blindness “perpetuates racism” and that young children show a “bias towards whiteness.” The guide instructs parents to talk to their children about racism‚ even implying that parents who refuse may be perpetuating unequal “justice‚ health‚ and education systems.” The upcoming racial equity training sessions will be held in conjunction with the Equity Paradigm Group‚ a North Carolina-based consulting firm that characterizes itself as “a group of diversity practitioners‚ adult learning facilitators‚ researchers‚ organizers‚ change agents‚ and passionate social justice activists who are dedicated to evolving the way in which organizations approach their work.” “We ground our work in the historical construction of race as a system of advantage to analyze ourselves‚ our actions‚ and to identify the underlying‚ implicit assumptions and biases that hold us back‚” the Equity Paradigm Group states. The consulting firm notes that their training sessions cover a variety of different topics‚ including “Strategies for applying a Intersectional Racial Equity Lens‚” “Defining and Pursuing Liberation‚” and “Naming &; De-centering White Dominant Culture.” The Boy Scouts of America have also pushed leftwing worldviews on race‚ announcing in 2021 that aspiring Eagle Scouts would have to earn the “Citizenship in Society” merit badge. The guide for merit badge counselor — the adults who walk scouts through the process of earning the badge — directs readers to resources that bash colorblindness‚ denigrate Christopher Columbus‚ and celebrate the LGBT movement.

A teacher at an Illinois high school sought to exclude students who allegedly opposed the school’s transgender bathroom policy from meetings of the school’s “Diversity” club. A Waterloo High School teacher and advisor to the school’s “Diversity‚” (Gay-Straight Alliance) Club complained about critics of the school’s bathroom policy and looked to place tampons in boy’s bathrooms‚ according to emails obtained by Parents Defending Education and shared with The Daily Wire.  As the Daily Wire previously reported‚ students who were uncomfortable sharing bathrooms with students of the opposite sex were investigated by Waterloo High School after choosing to use a private bathroom that was made available by the school.  “Usually‚ our meetings are open. Unfortunately‚ some of the main players who are in favor of keeping transgender students out of the bathrooms are students who have been coming to meetings under the guise of support for our queer kids‚” the Waterloo “Diversity” club advisor wrote in an email from March 2023 to a group of GSA Illinois advisors. “I’m meeting with our administration today‚ but I was hoping for some advice about how to handle the meeting tomorrow. Do any of you have experience with monitoring who can and who cannot attend meetings?” the sponsor added.  In a response to the email‚ a faculty member of the Champaign School District recommended setting guidelines that would allow the club to remove students or close meetings. “IF you want to keep the meeting closed‚ you should make that clear. I would say‚ don’t be sneaky. Just say to non-normal attenders‚ ‘We are continuing a project/working on an initiative/Planning for something with our current members only today. So sorry. If you are interested in other meetings‚ I’d be glad to give you a calendar of open meetings!’” the Champaign School District faculty member said. “Plan for a private time to follow up with your normal membership that isn’t a normal meeting. Maybe via note‚ phone call‚ e-mail‚ etc. or during lunch or before school. Whether the meeting goes well or poorly‚ those kids will want to vent about their needs to you. Texans Josh and Tina Fey (not THAT Tina Fey) were visiting Pensacola‚ Florida‚ to celebrate their anniversary. The pair began an unexpected adventure when they spotted a Mako shark stuck on the beach. The shark seemed to be struggling in the shallow water. They immediately notified authorities and decided to try to help the struggling creature. The two can now say they helped rescue a shark during their trip to Florida. Image from YouTube. The nearly ten-foot shark struggled‚ and Josh hated seeing it in distress. Yes‚ the shark has a mouthful of sharp teeth and could have injured him‚ but he felt he had to try. With Tina recording‚ the rescue began. By himself‚ Josh couldn’t budge the large shark. Mako sharks can weigh up to 1‚200 pounds. Within seconds‚ other bystanders jumped in. With four strong volunteers‚ they wrestled the shark back into knee-deep water. Image from YouTube. Standing by to allow the shark to adjust‚ they hoped it had no injuries and could swim. The shark took a moment to acclimate but slowly moved away from the beach into deeper water. Cheering their success‚ the group of strangers left the water triumphant. Onlookers‚ including Tina‚ were cheering loudly as the tired group returned to the beach. Their Florida shark rescue was a success. Image from YouTube. The animal may have become stranded while hunting after strayed too far into the shallows. It also may have had injuries or been ill. Whatever the reason for the beaching‚ bystanders made every attempt to ensure the shark’s safety. While the beachgoers heroically put themselves in harm’s way to save the shark‚ it’s important to remember that the proper authorities are the best resource when you find and injured or stranded animal. Their advice is simple and tells pet parents what situations need emergency care and which can wait for a regular vet appointment. Itchy Skin Itchy skin can be treated with a visit to your primary veterinarian. While it can be uncomfortable for your furbaby‚ this condition is not life-threatening. Nasal Discharge Nasal discharge can have many causes‚ from mild allergies to a critter cold. Though a drippy dog or cat nose can be ewwww-inducing‚ the condition can be treated with a trip to your pet’s primary vet clinic. 4. Vaccines Vaccines can be taken care of at your primary vet. The ASPCA states that vaccines should be a part of every pet’s routine medical care. These shots protect your furbaby from diseases and conditions that can be life-threatening. Schedule regular checkups and vaccines with your primary pet care provider. Difficulty Breathing Every living being requires oxygen. If you notice your pet struggling to breathe‚ this situation can be life-threatening and is a true pet emergency. Scoop your furbaby into a carrier and head off to the emergency vet. 11. Ear Infection An ear infection can become serious if left untreated. If you notice the signs of an ear infection‚ please take your pet to their primary care provider before it becomes a pet emergency. 12. Hit By A Car If your pet is hit by a car‚ you should take them to the nearest animal emergency care center. Male Cat Unable To Urinate Due To Blockage If you have a male cat that cannot urinate‚ this should receive immediate treatment. Urinary tract blockages can be deadly. Neutered male cats are particularly prone to this problem. This is a serious pet emergency. Please take them to the nearest animal facility for immediate treatment.
