Following last week’s controversial calls from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) for legally mandated labeling of “deepfake” images, on Monday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre attributed videos showing President Joe Biden appearing to lack vigor and attentiveness at several recent public events to the creation of “deepfakes.” President Biden’s team are calling for social media companies to take action against the videos. Deepfakes are highly realistic digital creations where one person’s image or voice is swapped with someone else’s using advanced artificial intelligence (AI). These AI systems, particularly those that use deep learning, are trained to capture and replicate human behaviors and expressions precisely. Jean-Pierre criticized these videos of Biden as manipulative and designed with malicious intent. “We’re seeing these deepfakes, these manipulated videos, and it is, again, done in bad faith,” Jean-Pierre stated during a press briefing. https://video.reclaimthenet.org/articles/kjp-biden-df-786756.mp4 Jean-Pierre also used the term “cheapfakes” to describe these videos, which included one showing President Biden prematurely crouching on stage before sitting alongside First Lady Jill Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron. She also labeled as a “deepfake” footage of Biden seeming to stray aimlessly at the G7 summit in Italy, from where Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni then redirected him towards the group of world leaders for the photo opportunity. The press secretary’s comments were in response to recent inquiries about whether the alleged confusion exhibited by President Biden, who is America’s oldest President, was affecting his performance. A cat never knew life indoors until kind people let her in and helped her kittens, changing the course of her life. Gilly and her kittensAndreaChristianA cat who had spent her entire life outdoors arrived in foster care with her two kittens. Volunteers from St Francis Society Animal Rescue took them in, along with another cat, giving them a new chance at life.The tabby named Gilly first appeared as a stray, seeking food at a person's home. When she had her second litter - only two out of the five kittens survived - her caretaker contacted the rescue organization, hoping to get them help and break the cycle."Gilly was such a sweet girl from the day she came to me," Andrea Christian, a foster volunteer for the rescue, shared with Love Meow. AndreaChristianGilly was fiercely devoted to her two kittens, Thaddeus and Declan, never letting them out of her sight. She cradled them tenderly as they nursed and drifted into food comas.At first, she was reluctant to let anyone handle her kittens. Having lost three, she hovered over her remaining two, ensuring they were safe and thriving. AndreaChristian"When I started to give her kittens wet food, she would lie down away from the food and call them. She would chirp and coo until they came over to nurse. Gilly was a very good momma, a protective momma."The two boys grew by leaps and bounds under Gilly's unwavering love and care. Declan and Thaddeus; they were born with stubby tails just like their momAndreaChristianThe little white kitten, Thaddeus, was the braver and more adventurous of the two, while his tabby brother, Declan, kept their mom on her toes with endless demands."Gilly and her boys had curled tails that make a poof at the end of their bums." Their stubby tails closely resemble those of Japanese Bobtails. AndreaChristianGilly taught her kittens how to play with toys and showed them proper litter box etiquette and how to eat from a dish like grown-up cats.As the kittens became more independent, tumbling and running around with unbridled energy, Gilly began to see there was more to life than just raising kittens. With a safe home, she discovered an abundance of food, warmth, and comfort. AndreaChristianSlowly but surely, she came out of her shell and began to shine. "It is time for her to live a life untethered."Once her kittens found their dream home together, Gilly befriended other feline residents. "She is a young retired mom with a happy and calm personality. She mingled well with the cats here." AndreaChristianChill as a cucumber, she watched other cats play from the sidelines, content and relieved to be free from the worries of food and shelter.After a lifetime of roaming the outdoors, Gilly was ready to embrace her new chapter as a pampered indoor cat. "They had been preparing for a family member and knew they wanted a young adult."Gilly warmed up to them immediately, as if she knew they were there to take her home. She was such an amazing momma, friendly with all the other cats here, and such a happy girl."The former stray cat is now living her best life in a loving home, reigning as the queen of her castle. The panic over President Biden's debate performance in 10 days has already broken out.  On Friday night, MSNBC host Alex Wagner whined that Donald Trump will be held to a much lower standard than Biden during the debates. Journalist Susan Glasser agreed, saying the MAGA base doesn't hold Trump "accountable" like...well, hostile leftist Democrat journalists. Do they hold Biden accountable on MSNBC? If they did, it would be to satisfy viewers further to the left than Biden. They are upset that Donald Trump's voters don't judge Trump in the same way that leftist MSNBC hosts judge Trump. They expect all voters to accept their wisdom and agree with it entirely. They grew more upset over the weekend when video of a Hollywood fundraiser showed former president Barack Obama leading Biden off the stage like he needed guidance.  On Sunday's State of the Union show, CNN host Jake Tapper fed Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) softballs about the anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary mass shooting as they mark the 10th anniversary of that horrible day. But earlier, Tapper asked Sen. Murphy if it was appropriate for President Biden to criticize the Supreme Court as "out of kilter" with public opinion. Murphy claimed Clarence Thomas is a grifter and Samuel Alito is "openly displaying affiliation with political causes in public." As if Ruth Bader Ginsburg didn't flaunt her politics in public?  NPR keeps obsessing over the Alitos and their use of flags around their homes. On Saturday, their show It's Been a Minute obsessed over flags, and Republican threats to burn the gay "Pride" flag. NPR has obsessed far more over the Alito flags than they did over the assassination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh. NPR never offered one feature on Nicholas Roske being arrested with weapons in Kavanaugh's Maryland neighborhood.  Instead, NPR media reporter David Folkenflik is actively investigating a Rupert Murdoch-associated journalist taking the editorial reins of The Washington Post. U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy is calling for mandating inclusion of a warning label on social media platforms."It is time to require a surgeon general's warning label on social media platforms, stating that social media is associated with significant mental health harms for adolescents. A surgeon general's warning label, which requires congressional action, would regularly remind parents and adolescents that social media has not been proved safe," Murthy wrote in an opinion piece.'These harms are not a failure of willpower and parenting;'"Why is it that we have failed to respond to the harms of social media when they are no less urgent or widespread than those posed by unsafe cars, planes or food? These harms are not a failure of willpower and parenting; they are the consequence of unleashing powerful technology without adequate safety measures, transparency or accountability," Murthy wrote.In a post that included the link to Murthy's essay, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas said, "The Surgeon General's diagnosis, paired with @SenBrianSchatz's and my bipartisan legislation, the Kids Off Social Media Act ... offers a strong prescription to mitigate the dangers facing America's youth."The proposed legislation Cruz referenced includes a provision to prohibit social media companies from allowing children younger than 13 to have an account.Democratic Rep. Mark DeSaulnier of California expressed support for Murthy's proposal."As a longtime mental health advocate, I support @Surgeon_General's recommendation that social media platforms, which negatively affect teens' mental health, be given a warning label just like we’ve employed for other public health threats like tobacco and alcohol," DeSaulnier said in a post.Like Blaze News?
