The following is the text of a letter sent by The Daily Wire to advertising industry professionals to highlight the findings of the House Judiciary Committee’s investigation into GARM, the Global Alliance for Responsible Media. A PDF of the letter can be viewed here. ——— An Open Letter to our Advertising Industry Colleagues Re:  U.S. House Judiciary Report on GARM Censorship Cartel Dear Colleague, Earlier today the House Judiciary Committee released a shocking report detailing its findings after a months-long investigation into what it describes as “apparent collusion” between the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (“GARM”) and some of the world’s largest brands, advertising holding companies, and social media platforms to demonetize conservative media outlets. The Committee’s report details the scandalous perspective of GARM leader and co-founder, Mr. Rob Rakowitz, in never-before-disclosed emails. Mr. Rakowitz articulates his frustration with “extreme global interpretations of the US Constitution”, including “people advocating for freedom of speech online” and “taking US norms and applying them globally,” while “using principles of governance and applying them as literal law from 230 years ago (made by white men exclusively).” Mr. Rakowitz acknowledges “the professional fallout would be horrendous” if his opinion on this matter were to be publicly disclosed. The Committee found evidence of GARM leadership and GARM Steer Team members discussing how to target conservative media like The Daily Wire, Breitbart, and Fox News. When specifically discussing The Daily Wire, one GARM member – an executive at GroupM – communicated to Mr. Rakowitz that: “I don’t know Daily Wire that well, but I would imagine that most of our clients wouldn’t want to be on either side of politically divisive content, so they probably block them anyway – but we should watch them carefully to make sure they don’t stoop below the GARM floor. If we block DW – why wouldn’t we block Fox News?” Another GroupM executive confirmed, “Fyi we have Daily Wire on our Global High Risk exclusion list, categorized as Conspiracy Theories…” According to the report, Mr. Rakowitz regularly directs GARM members to use exclusion and inclusion lists from “trusted partners” like NewsGuard and GDI in order to “continue to give a leg up to professional news outlets.” Mr. Rakowitz continued, “we’re eager to make sure that ad dollars and media platforms stay clear of bad actors.” Mr. Rakowitz describes GARM as, “the first ever consortium that’s brought together multiple global advertisers […], all of the agency holding companies, and significant media platforms.” The goal of GARM, according to Mr. Rakowitz, “is to remove harmful content from advertiser-supported media on digital media platforms, and ensure that the industry works together to ensure that this is prioritized by executives and enabled by media experts and technicians.” GARM’s Brand Safety Floor and Suitability Framework includes standards targeting objectively criminal, abusive, and dangerous content; however, GARM also includes subjective standards that, in practice, are used to target conservative media for merely discussing debated and sensitive topics in a manner that is disfavored by GARM and its leadership. The application of the subjective elements of GARM’s Brand Safety Floor also frequently lead to conservative media content being erroneously maligned as misinformation, harassment, or even hate speech. Based on the Committee’s findings, it appears that GARM’s two primary objectives are: (1) the accumulation of power; and (2) to bankrupt media companies, content producers, and even social media platforms who do not fall into lock step with GARM. According to the report, “The threat Mr. Rakowitz can pose to an entire platform is enormous, evidenced by his taking credit for Twitter’s revenue decline.” We at The Daily Wire do not oppose rating agencies providing tools and information to advertisers so that they can make informed, targeted advertising placement decisions, and we do not feel entitled to earn advertising spending from advertisers merely because of our position in the marketplace. We are, however, gravely concerned with how GARM and its leaders have privately wielded their considerable concentration of market power – 90% of all ad spend worth $1 trillion – to target and attempt to bankrupt conservative media like The Daily Wire, and we are now calling for further investigations by Congress to fully understand the depth and breadth of this apparent censorship cartel, as well as to immediately halt any government coordination with these sophisticated and coercive campaigns against free speech. Indeed, we have recently sued the U.S. State Department over alleged coordination with GARM’s own “trusted partners” NewsGuard and GDI, among others, to target The Daily Wire and other conservative media. Because today’s Congressional report has highlighted the intentions and apparently collusive behavior of GARM and its members, we are asking that you earnestly evaluate your commitment to principles of free speech and that you reject GARM, Mr. Rakowitz, and any similar actors’ efforts to subvert conservative media. If it is true that an informed public is essential to a functioning representative democracy, then everyone should oppose efforts to suppress conservative media’s vital role – and Constitutional mandate – to help preserve a free and open society. We ask that you take a stand on the side of freedom with The Daily Wire and other conservative media on this issue. New Mexico Democratic Senator Martin Heinrich on Friday called on President Joe Biden to drop his 2024 re-election bid, becoming the third Democratic senator to urge Biden’s withdrawal from the race. In a statement, Heinrich said that former President Donald Trump represented an “existential threat” to the country and that he believed Biden would not win in November. Heinrich joins Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT) and Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) in calling for Biden to step aside.  “While the decision to withdraw from the campaign is President Biden’s alone, I believe it is in the best interests of our country for him to step aside,” Heinrich said. “By passing the torch, he would secure his legacy as one of our nation’s greatest leaders and allow us to unite behind a candidate who can best defeat Donald Trump and safeguard the future of our democracy.” Heinrich also claimed that Biden was “one of the most accomplished presidents in modern history.”  “However, this moment in our nation’s history calls for a focus that is bigger than any one person. The return of Donald Trump to the White House poses an existential danger to our democracy. We must defeat him in November, and we need a candidate who can do that,” he said.  Heinrich, who is running for re-election, is being challenged by Republican Nella Domenici, who raised a record $2.9 million in second-quarter fundraising from April to June 2024. The race is still considered safely Democratic as a Republican hasn’t won a U.S. Senate seat in New Mexico in more than two decades.  On Thursday, Tester said that Biden needed to step away from the race because of his debate performance against Trump last month. “We cannot unsee President Biden’s disastrous debate performance. We cannot ignore or dismiss the valid questions raised since that night,” he wrote, later adding that Biden needed to “reassess whether he is the best candidate to” take on Trump in the election. A total of 27 House Democrats have demanded that Biden withdraw, including five more on Friday who said he should “pass the torch” to a different candidate.  The Biden campaign has strongly resisted any calls to exit the race and said that he will be back on the campaign trail next week.  “I look forward to getting back on the campaign trail next week to continue exposing the threat of Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda while making the case for my own record and the vision that I have for America: one where we save our democracy, protect our rights and freedoms, and create opportunity for everyone,” Biden said in a statement on Friday. The anti-Israel International Court of Justice, an arm of the United Nations, ruled on Friday that Israel’s presence in the biblical areas of Judea and Samaria is “unlawful,” and that Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria, as well as in East Jerusalem, violated international law. In an opinion delivered by its president, Nawaf Salam of Lebanon, who wrote in 2015 of Israel, “Unhappy birthday to you, 48 years of occupation,” the court claimed, “The West Bank and East Jerusalem are occupied territories in which Israel has status of occupying Power.” In the face of the October 7 attack by the terrorist group Hamas in which they murdered more than 1,200 people in Israel and in the face of the decades-old series of wars launched by Arab states against Israel and the intifadas which claimed thousands of Jewish lives, the court wrote, “Israel’s systematic failure to prevent or punish attacks by settlers against the life or bodily integrity of Palestinians, as well as Israel’s excessive use of force against Palestinians, is inconsistent with its obligations.” Among other incidents in which Jews have been murdered by Palestinian terrorists in Judea and Samaria, on March 2011, Tamar Fogel, 12, returned to her home in Itamar to find her brothers, Yoav, 11, and Elad, 4, lying on the floor in pools of blood. She found her 3-month-old sister stabbed in her crib; her parents dead on the floor. Two terrorists, from a neighboring Palestinian village, who were linked with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), committed the murders. In 2014, Israeli students Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Shaer, and Naftali Fraenkel, ages 16 and 19, were hiking in Gush Etzion when they were kidnapped and murdered by Palestinian terrorists. Hamas leader Khaled Mashal congratulated the kidnapping. In April 2023, sisters Rina Dee, 15, and Maia Dee, 20, as well as their mother Lucy, were shot by Palestinian terrorists in the northern Jordan Valley. All three died. Al Qassam Brigade, the militant wing of Hamas, later named the three men responsible and called them “heroes of the Jordan Valley operation that was carried out about a month ago.” “Palestinian terrorists in Judea and Samaria have killed five Israelis and wounded many others since Oct. 7, according to Hatzalah,” JNS reported. “Between Oct. 7 and Jan. 15, Rescuers Without Borders first responders recorded more than 2,600 attacks targeting Israeli civilians and soldiers, including 760 cases of rock-throwing, 551 fire bombings, 12 attempted or successful stabbings and nine vehicular assaults.” The court added, “Israel’s occupation has lasted for more than 57 years,” also writing, “Israel treats East Jerusalem as its own territory.” It added, “ … Court is of the view that Israel’s policies and practices, including the maintenance and expansion of settlements, the construction of associated infrastructure, including the wall … the proclamation of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital … entrench Israel’s control of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, notably of East Jerusalem and of Area C of the West Bank. … the Court considers that these policies and practices amount to annexation of large parts of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.” Danny Danon, Israeli ambassador to the U.N., fired back, “The ICJ has long been a political circus, and today is a stronghold of Hamas supporters.” The Jewish claim to Jerusalem, as well as Judea and Samaria, dates back thousands of years to the time of King David, who conquered Jerusalem and made it the capital of Israel. Most of the events recorded in the Bible took place in Judea and Samaria, not the areas near the coast, such as Tel Aviv.

A reader describes her multi-year encounters with brightly colored, static-like silhouette beings that would stand outside her bedroom and watch her. Are these similar to shadow people?I received the following account from a reader:"Hello, I read your blog every day and am a fan on Facebook so I finally decided to email an experience to you.Over around seven years while I was growing up two figures regularly appeared to me at night (sometimes each night of the week, sometimes only appearing once or twice a week). They would appear just outside and just inside my bedroom doorway, and they never tried to move any closer into the room. They would appear while I lay in bed. One figure appeared to be male, the other female. They were perfect silhouettes with no features to speak of. However, they appeared to be made of something similar to static on a television. They were brightly coloured, as if made of tiny blue-pink and green dots of static. Sometimes they stood still and watched me and others they moved quickly and fluently around the area they were standing in. Although a small part of me told myself I should probably feel frightened, I never felt threatened by the figures and I never fell asleep as calmly as when they had appeared. Sometimes I would lose focus of them for a second but they would always reappear a few seconds later. As I grew up I stopped seeing the figures (Probably at about age 11.)They often appeared to notice me, and in all honesty, I got the constant feeling that they were there for me (partly because no one else noticed them, partly because they appeared to me so regularly.)I've had many different experiences with the paranormal since then, having grown up with a passionate interest, but I have never seen anything remotely like these figures since they stopped appearing to me, and I have never really come across anything that could explain it, either.While it may sound like the overactive imagination of a child, the fact that I saw them regularly over six years and the fact that some of my very earliest memories are of these figures (I have earlier memories of these figures than I do of my family) leads me to believe otherwise.I would greatly appreciate any info or any similar experiences you have heard about, although it doesn't seem important when compared to some of the things you are emailed with I've been trying for a long time to find something out about what they were.Thank you very much for your time."
