When Sisters Get Kidnapped During Carjacking‚ 8-Yr-Old Bravely Saves 2-Yr-Old Sister And Herself.

One minute‚ Charley Jorgenson and her sister‚ Autumn‚ are sitting in their parents’ SUV‚ waiting for dad to come back. In the next‚ a total stranger is driving these kidnapped sisters away. This terrifying moment took place when their dad‚ Adam Jorgenson‚ stopped for a car wash at a local Kwik Trip in Wisconsin. With the car still running‚ Adam stepped away to grab a cloth to dry the car. He was still within arms length when someone asked if he could give them directions. That’s when he heard the screech of his tires. As Adam called 911‚ his girls were left to figure out what to do next. This would be difficult for anyone‚ but this is even more true for an 8- and 2-year-old. YouTube Soon after driving away‚ the man who stole the vehicle told 8-year-old Charley to get out of the car. Although she was scared‚ she took a moment to figure out if that was a good idea or not. “Then‚ he told me to get out‚” Charley recalls‚ “and I was like‚ ‘What should I do? Should I run and be a scaredy-cat or should I save my sister‚ too.’ So I said‚ ‘What about Autumn?'” Kidnapped Sisters Think Quick to Survive Carjacking As Charley contemplated whether or not to kick the man‚ she made an important realization: They had a push-to-start car‚ and Dad still had the keys. YouTube “He can’t do anything without the key‚” Charley explains‚ giving her the confidence to stay put with her sister in the car. When the driver asked where the keys were‚ Charley let him know the truth. With that‚ the man abandoned the car and kidnapped sisters about a mile away from the Kwik Stop. As soon as she could‚ Charley grabbed dad’s phone from the front of the car and called Mom. “Mom‚ I need you!” Charley says in a frantic voicemail. “I need you! We lost Dad!” YouTube From the backseat‚ Autumn can be heard asking‚ “Where go Dada?” Once these kidnapped sisters were finally located‚ with the help of Adam’s iPhone location‚ their terrified parents couldn’t have been more relieved. “I ran as fast as I could out of the back of that cop car to hug them‚” Adam says. Now‚ the Jorgenson family is using their experience to shine a light on just how quickly something can go wrong. They encourage others with children to take caution so the same thing doesn’t happen to them. YouTube “In the winter‚ you come outside with your groceries and you have your two little kids‚” Adam says. “You want to put them in the warm car and go take your cart back to the corral. That’s not the right order anymore. Your kids might need to be cold for a few more minutes outside with you before you start your car and put them in it. It took two seconds for me to respond to somebody and then to sneak in.” Plus‚ Charley’s parents couldn’t be more proud of her and her quick-thinking under such a stressful ordeal. “I’m just extremely thankful that the police were there quickly and that the kids are safe‚” Charley’s mom shares. Our Favorite Super Bowl Commercials That Gave Us All The Feels &; Chuckles!

Yeah‚ we know‚ it’s so stereotypical to say “We watch the Super Bowl for the commercials‚” but it’s at least partly true‚ so we own it. It costs around $7 million to simply air an ad once during the big game‚ so companies put a lot of time‚ sweat‚ and money into making them golden. This year’s batch of commercials included some of the best we’ve seen in a while. From a little boy turning his football dreams into reality to Jennifer Aniston forgetting who David Schwimmer was‚ we had a lot of laughs and tears. While it was hard to narrow down the best of Super Bowl LVIII‚ we rounded up seven of our favorite commercials and added them below. 1. Dunkin’ Donuts Ben Affleck hires Tom Brady‚ Matt Damon and Jack Harlow to promote JLo's This Is Me… Now in Super Bowl commercial of Dunkin Donuts. pic.twitter.com/QB1ocMYdpZ— best of jennifer lopez (@badpostjlo) February 12‚ 2024 Ben Affleck made so many waves with his Super Bowl ad in 2023‚ that the company called him back for an encore‚ and it was perfect. In the hilarious video‚ Ben decides he’s going to start a boy band called the DunKings with Tom Brady and Matt Damon. Ben brings his act to Jennifer’s work—which was a direct response to showing up to his last year. In our opinion‚ Matt’s one-liners are the best parts of the ad. 2. Mountain Dew Mountain Dew brought in Aubrey Plaza to be Aubrey Plaza for their Super Bowl commercial.Kinda expected in delivery + insanity‚ but hey‚ it works. Smart end cameo‚ too.pic.twitter.com/WWZDSdk5d9— Jack Appleby (@jappleby) February 12‚ 2024 Aubrey Plaza gave the perfect personality to this year’s Mountain Dew commercial. Aubrey Plaza became the face of the soda that notoriously amps people up. She sold the brand by “having a blast” a drinking a Dew in several different scenarios. And as usual‚ she gave her lines in the most deadpan way. In the end‚ she offered a little excitement when her equally dry Parks and Recreation co-star Nick Offerman joined her for an afternoon ride on dragons. 3. Etsy YouTube Etsy nailed the common anxiety of finding the perfect gift. In the company’s ad‚ it showed President Grover Cleveland taking his first look at the Statue of Liberty‚ which was‚ of course‚ gifted to the U.S. by France. “Oh‚ crap. That’s a really good gift‚” he says. “Now we gotta get France something‚” a woman says. The president hit up Etsy for ideas and landed on a fancy cheeseboard. You can watch the entire ad here. 4. Uber Eats Today's the day!! Can't wait to watch the Hockey Bowl with the Basil Babes. Whatever you forget‚ remember #UberEats.Get groceries‚ everyday items‚ and more…#SuperBowlLVIII #SuperBowl pic.twitter.com/O5bl6rq7AJ— Uber Eats (@UberEats) February 11‚ 2024 Apparently‚ “In order to remember something‚ you have to forget something else—make room.” Jennifer Aniston shared that wisdom with a delivery driver during an Uber Eats commercial‚ which showcased several celebrities forgetting major life events as they unpack their orders. Victoria Beckham and her husband‚ David Beckham‚ recalled that Victoria was in a band‚ but couldn’t remember the name. Jennifer runs into her former Friends co-star‚ David Schwimmer‚ and has no idea who he is. Jelly Roll looks in a mirror and is shocked to see that someone “doodled on his face.” 6. Paramount+ Oh my god. The Paramount+ Super Bowl ad.This is SO GOOD.– absolutely hysterical execution– creatively shows all their IP– CREED CAMEO!!!! pic.twitter.com/IxO9NO4glb— Jack Appleby (@jappleby) February 12‚ 2024 Out of all the Super Bowl commercials‚ Paramount+’s was one of the best. This ad was off the wall both literally and metaphorically. It showed a group of Paramount+ characters stuck in the valley of a snowy mountain valley. They took special measures to escape. We can’t give this commercial any justice with an explanation‚ so you’ll need to watch for yourself. But we can say it has the best Creed cameo in the history of Creed cameos. 7. NFL The complete @NFL #SuperBowl commercial‚ "Born to Play‚" filmed in Accra‚ Ghana‚ was live at the Halftime Show. #SuperBowlLVIII #TIGPost Rey Mysterio | Ayew | No Light #SuperBowl Nuamah | Usher #Afconfinals Generator Republic | Kessie | Blacko pic.twitter.com/qmb49VwATm— TIG Post (@tigpost_) February 12‚ 2024 After all that laughing‚ we had an emotional moment with the NFL’s ad. The organization is famous for amazing Super Bowl commercials‚ but it truly outdid itself with this year’s 2-minute and 30-second story that showed a little boy growing up in Ghana with dreams of playing organized football. This is another ad you have to watch for yourself. The ending is truly heartwarming. You can find the source of this story’s featured images here and here.
